We had a good day She ate her solids and slept well. She's up for 3hrs these days before a nap.

Preparing myself for tonight's rocking and patting extravaganza.

Hope everyone has a good night.

I hear that Ann! tonight i tried putting her to bed thinking "it's ok, i'm putting you to sleep now, i'll do whatever you need me to. if you wake during the night then i'll deal with that then but i wont worry now...all is well". i figured i've tried everything else to get her back to sleeping well so lets bring out the telepathicity! (i made a word!)
interview went well thanks. no, no more childcare for me. after looking after my nephew i've decided i'm not into childcare anymore. its a check-out-chick at Aldi, they pay pretty well and it's parttime and just down the road so suits me

Ive been out all day at a freinds... had a good cry at her place...then we cried together...Craig has gone away for a day or 2... all i can say is good riddens dont hurry home.

Spoke to my friend about the move and all is good... she is a doula..(the fairy one...) and she said 110% she will be there for M2's birth and wouldnt miss it for the world.

Not got much to say other then my Princess is being an angel. sleeping, eating and drinking well.

Ann- Chelsea is FF so would vary but she is on 4 bottles a day and 2 solids (fruit and vegie).

    morning all!

ann - jake is on 3 BF - 7am 2pm 7pm and 3 solids plus fruit at 10am and sometimes at 3 depending if he wants it.

hope the sleeps went ok - we had an 11 pm wake screaming with pain I think it's his sinus bcos when upright it settles. Then he went back down until 4 resettled and woke at 6 when daddy brought him in b4 going back to work conf. So have dr appt at 4.... am there at least once a fortnight it seems!

I keep losing track of this thread mustn't be refreshing properly bcos when I check in the morning there are posts that weren't there last night from y'day??? I've got no idea.....

DH at his work conference gets home at midnight and leaves at 6.30, another dinner 2nite and then golf tmrw.... jaysus I hate it when this happens I need my time out in the evenings whe he gets home and takes over!

Oh kimbaz big *hugs* I have GF that everytime we catch up it seems to start with a good cry then we chat for hours. At least you're getting it out and not bottling up to simmer away.

Hope everyone else is still sane will catch up later.

Kim why are you 'in pain'?
YAY! another great night for us. I think my theory of evie being out of sorts since i began looking after my nephew seems to be the key. i had that interview yesterday arvo and so evie had a big play with daddy, and grandparents so she was in the bath when i got home, then i put her to bed with my positive vibes (as mentioned in previous post) and she went to sleep at 615, woke at 10 cos her nappy had leaked but was happy for me to change her, fed and back to sleep, then woke at 330, feed and sleep, then 530 little feed - i brought her back in our room since she was a little chilly and we were getting up soon anyways - then slept until 730. So i was very happy with that.
Sorry, no personals, i have read all the posts and havent been ignoring them, i've just been in my own world trying to work out this sleep puzzle.

In answer to the feeding q, evie has around 4 a day...lasting around 10mins or less each time. she's not really on solids yet. but hotdamn i'm seeing this weight fall off with bf'ing all the time now!

Ah good for you Tara. I'm glad you had a good night.

Ours was horrendous. Up every HOUR. Dummy keeps falling out and she doesnt settle back without a rock or a pat (which takes at least 30mins)

I woke up during the night sometimes in my bed, sometimes sitting at the end of her cot.

DH took her this morning from 6am and gave her breakfast and i slept till 7.30 - the longest stretch of sleep i had all night!

On the other hand she is feeding better this morning. Had 3 cubes of pear and 2 cubes of pumpkin (DH's choice) and then BF. From the sounds of I've been giving Ella a lot of BM and wondering why she's not eating. Since cutting back to 4 BFs she's eating more.

Saw the GP the other day and he suggested i see someone about her sleep. So i have a referral for Karitane in Aug.

Kim - I'm glad you can rely on someone for the birth. I hate the idea that you'll be on your own.

Nelly - how do you resettle Jake when he wakes in the night?

ann i still pretty much feed sophie 3 hoursly during the day, so around 5 per day, but always after solids except the first feed.

Ann, Evie was having the same prob too (dummy falling out etc) so i've been trying to rock her until she is sound asleep and then when i put her in her cot settle her back so she's asleep and doesnt want to take the dummy. this works sometimes, but i'm hoping eventually she'll be used to being asleep without it and it wont bother her.
i also kept her cd on repeat last night so it went non-stop and had the nightlight on her baby monitor, its the fisher-price one - quite faint but enough to just see.

Ann, Jake settle best at night when DH goes in. He turns him onto the side facing away tucks him in tight, tells he's a good boy and pats him on the bottom a few times until he's stopped crying and is just doing his sleepy mumbles. I do the same but when Darren does it is much quicker - Jake knows I'm the milk truck and the soft touch!
