wow how funny (for me) to read about quiet night activities! Tiny Bilby is going to bed at 11pm, wakes at 2am, then 5am then 8am, i don't know about quiet night time activities!!!
she hasn't had proper day time sleeps it seems for simply ages. I just realised, dh was home for two whole months with his back problem, and we really got out of our routines. Plus my own back has suffered so much (by me being the only person doing lifting here) that i gave up some things (like swaddling tiny bilby, which is her normal way to get to sleep) in a vain effort to give myself some back relief.
Vicky, sorry to hear about your ex being a pain again. It's so hard to have to keep co-operating with someone who doesn't keep their promises. Esp when you have to keep a brave/neutral face for the sake of the kidlets, so hard. Hugs
When you all started talking about the night terrors, i also wondered about ye olde chestnut - teething.
We have Baby's First Toothbrushes all ready for the teeth stage, had no idea you could wipe out their mouth BEFORE teeth even came thru. Tiny Bilby has SO MNAY teeth i can see thru the gums, they are SO CLOSE to coming thru, but not quite, like they're waiting in the wings ha ha!
Vicky, i've been taking photos of tiny bilby in the cane wash basket and the cane shopping basket (full of toy bilbies and her) too. Great minds etc!
Hi all sorry have been MIA but have a baaad tummy bug!
Hope you are all ok, me I am peeeessed at my usually wonderful DH who won't take time off work to take Jake off my hands- how can I care for an active 8 mth old when I am running to the toilet every 5 mins!?!?!?!?!?! Luckily a GF up the road took him most of yday and even bathed and fed him in the evening ready for bed when Darren picked him up. Today it's just the 2 of us but the dashing is not as bad bcos there is nothing in my stomach except for water and gsastrolyte.
Good advice Nelly. If bub is somewhere safe, and can't get out, taking some time out to regather yourself is the best idea. I used to put Nathan in the cot, and walk out into the back garden when he was inconsolable, and nothing I did worked... just so I could draw breath...
Nope... i managed to force feed some fruit into her...and get her to stop crying.. held her very tight in my arms...now she is back in her cot....wingeing, crying and screaming. But im going to take a break and have some lunch and a lay down. Im buggered and bub is kicking me alot. If things dont get better soon im going to take her to the doctors....see if they can find something wrong with her. I cant see nothing, she is normal other then this behaviour. No sign of teeth coming down or visible pain or markings on her body. Im at a loss to whats wrong.
Mum called and her advice 'Feed her, she sounds hungry'...thanks mum.. big help....its so easy to do that when Chelsea is refusing a bottle and i had to force food down her throat before. Due for a bottle at 430 next so ill see how she goes then.
Sounds like how Emelia was when she had a throat infection, i rang my gp and the receptionist said bring her right in(she could hear her crying in the background!)...hope she settles soon for u and u can get some rest
maybe a trip to the docs maybe the best thing, u know best though :hugs: sweetie

so far, when nothing is working, i try
- 5ml of gripe water (to see if going to teh toilet will help her)
if that doesn't work
- 5ml of baby panadol (to see if it's pain)
if that doesn't work
- bonjella on the gums
constant crying is so hard to take - how is she now KIMBAZ? did you end up going to the GP? I don't know how mamas of small kidlets cope with being pregnant as well - you have my greatest admiration.
How is your tummy NELLY? i had super bad gastro a month ago, and i so relate to the running to the loo every five mins, it's awful! Good on you for drinking gastrolyte - that tasted like drinking seawater to me! couldn't hack that. Got onto the staminade, gatorade stuff instead. I hope your usual dh returns soon and stays home to look after you and bubs.
Oh poor you kim. Are you still going to the GP or will you wait it out?
AJP - Stock up on oranges and echinaecia
Gigi - have the teeth popped out yet? I keep dreaming Ella's 5th and 6th teeth have come through. But then i wake up and we have another wingey day...
We'll we've got removalist coming today to provide quotes... We got 4.8K back from our tax so that will make the move easier Ella had a raw tomato today. it was a bit crunchy but she still liked it. She's been eating dried figs after lunch and dinner. I think she's enjoying the crunchier stuff because it helps with the sore gums...well that's what i think...
