Chelsea slept yet again......god im glad night times are fine...12 hours a night im a happy mummy there....i just need to work on getting myself to sleep!! And Chels to sleep in the day!!
Im glad Ella is ok Ann...poor lil chicken....
Gigi...great news on the sty....breastmilk is useful for sooo much
Gigi Bilby is a hunny! I use breastmilk on everything - pimples, when Jake has crack under his nose from it running and being wiped all the time, up his nose when it's a big blocked, when Millie scratches anyone.... it's a great cure all! My poor Daggles freaks when I say "oh you've got a pimple, hang on..." and I whip out the bb!!
we had a much better night - no more tomatoes, yoghurt or red wine and he is a bit more settled.... bugger and I thought now he was down to 3 feeds I could start to indulge again!
Ann we have polished wood floors and Jake is always bashing his head ... and he fell off his change table AND the bed onto them .... he has so many briuse on his little bald head atm!
Tara sounds like you are going really well! How did everyone else go last night? We were only up 3 times and they were only to cover him back up and a quick pat and cuddle then back to sleep.
Still tired tho - let Millie out at 4am this morning, usually she doesn't go out until dawn but she was being a cow, and her little window blew shut. Lay there thinking I should open it again cos it started pouring again... nest thing I hear a scratching scrabbling sound and a howl - Millie had tried to climb into our front window by jumping off the verandah and onto the the other narrow window sill, and missed! So DH and I get up and are out in the pouring rain with a torch checking to see if she's been knocked out but she was fine... then when we came in I bent down to pick up a towel off the ground for all the drips and dribbles at the front door and bashed my eye socket on the corner of the couch!!! OOOWWWWWWW!! now have the makings of a black eye... really attractive!
hi all - I'm flooded in. we have running rivers now instead of fields. cant get to the road, the bruce highway is closed, Its acutally quite freaky. Bizarre that I can still get on the net! but can't get to the shop for milk. Have been having major anxiety attacks all morning - its still raining, and I keep thinking, what if I run up of nappies - food - one of the kids gets sick - what am I going to do?? Thank god DH is home. Work called him early this morning and said dont come in. That was BEFORE we drove down, or attempted to, the driveway to see that we where cut off anyway! Thats when the anxiety set in... trying hard to relax and breathe, for the kids sake. They are watching me like hawks. Of course DH is all excited and wants to go a PLAY in it!! thanks for that - just add to my anxiety why don't u!!
So sorry - no personals - i'm too busy freaking out!
We had a good night again 7.30pm till 6.30am lets hope its continues!!
DP is on zoloft (antidepressant) really hope it works, i think its just all the responibilty getting to him im trying to be supportive as much as i can..but it is hard at times :s
Blanchie the Zoloft can take a little while to work & often you have to play with the dose to get it just right, but I swear by the stuff... changed our lives. My Dh often says that when I go on it, I become more "me".
Vicky I was thinking about you all morning as I was out. *hugs* matey I hope you have been able to breathe easier. Anxiety sucks and I know I'd be having issues if I was stuck in.
Blanchie I went on Zoloft after my miscarriage and it worked wonders on me too... my dose was good from the start but a friend of mine took a bit of shuffling.
I hope everything works out for your husband Blanche, it's very draining being so supportive - sounds mean of me, but i know it is. :hugs:
Its still quite wet our way too Vicky, its meant to be easing up soon - but not soon enough for you i bet!
Glad thinks are picking up for you, Kim - i'll gladly swap good day time sleeps for a whole nights sleep!!
How much does everyone's baby eat? tonight evie had a huge corned beef and vege dinner (probably about 5 heaped tablespoons worth) plus a WHOLE JAR of fruit gel, then a huge breast feed.
I guess she's going through a growth spurt and thats perhaps why she wakes so much at night but i'm paranoid i'm not making her enough dinner.
Anyways - evies sound asleep, nice easy dinner tonight - i'm going to go and relax, and get my suds on (have a beer)
Well our solids are goin ok now... each night Chelsea has what we have... other night she had sausages...(we had curried snags..thought hmm noo not for Chels), rissoles, and tonight she had a huge bowl of potato, (we had butter chicken and rice) Craig forget to get chicken out before he added the sauce...but she stil ate it....so a huge bowl of that.. and winged for more... so gave her some rice and gobbled that......no idea how she is goin to fit a bottle in as well!!
Such a guts tonight :P Oh and water on top of that....
We're eating heaps these days about 6 cubes for dinner and a jar of fruit custard or gel. BUT she's still losing weight. She's been eating us out of house and home but is NOT putting on weight. Time to see a GP i think. she's only 7.5kg!
Ella's normally asleep at 7pm and will wake for a feed at 11pm for a quick snack and then up at 7am.
But last night she got up at 5.30 but we settled her back quickly.
Going to unpack more boxes on the weekend so we can walk around the place.
Ann some babies start to plateau around this age as they are really active and burn off any extra energy with crawling etc.
Is she happy and strong and developing ok? If so, and she's eating well, I wouldn't worry too much. If however she is losing weight, and crossing percentiles, then I would go to a doctor.
At the end of the day follow your gut - mother's instinct is there for a reason and no one else knows your bubba as well as you do.
Ann, Matilda was only 8kg when she turned 1 yr old. *hugs* its confusing and hard to understand whats going on isn't it?
Well.... Jovie was good today. She's got a huge patch of ezcema that isn't improving & its just staying the same. We have an allergy appointment on Wednesday so I hope I get some more answers... We got results back from Matilda which have answers, but we don't have Jovie's results yet.
So here I am at 2am been up every 40 mins since he went down at 7 we are all shattered and he just keeps screaming....
tried bbs, panadol, water, taken layers off and stripped him down, he is beside himself....
.... 2.30am and Daggles has taken Jake into the shower in a bid to relax him .... god I need sleep
