vicky - breathing helps. booking Ella into swimming school soon. She loves the pool so much!

AJP - Sophie is a funny girl shouting at the dog! if only there's a photo of her squished nose.

We're doing well here. Ella also shrugs Kim but she has no idea why she's doing it - its so funny. She sits on the floor and bops along to her Nursery Rhymes CD.

ella has 4 teeth but i think she's been making more. - its a drool fest in her mouth.

She woke up the other morning upset. When i went in she was on her tummy! She knows how to roll over but she was shocked to find out she was on her tummy LOL.

Snap Kim - Aston has the same one!!! and loves it. He has been pushing it up and down the hallway, improving those walking skills. He has to have a dance first though before he starts pushing! lol

I hope you are ok though hun. doesn't sound very fun. i hope something happens soon for you.

Jols - I love the picture! Its gorgeous. Aston calls to our dog all day.. will crawl over to the sliding doors and call "Dog! Dog! Dog!" and touches his nose through the screen. Its very cute. He loves our puppy - their is only a month between them.

Ann - swimming lessons are so much fun. we go back again on Friday, started last term. Aston loves it - and I get extremely wet without having to put my head under! he splashes about so much. Its lovely
Blanche - how you feeling? And M/S?

Tara - does evie still think she is a bird and has to wake with the raising sun?
Hi Christy and Nelly - how you both travelling. Christy - your very quiet hun, everything ok?

I have the first day home today in ages, and I am enjoying still being in my PJ's instead of walking out the door! Having a quiet day til about 2.30pm when the whole swimming squad thing happens!!
Until then I will enjoy the slow pace....
Have a good day all. x

yeah... quiet over here... just doing basic duties atm. I have a yuck head cold & have had to have 2 days off. Got Jovie into care yesterday & today & spent yesterday in bed. This morning the power went out & now I'm having a few minutes on BB and then sleepy poos for me. My head feels as though someone has put a pillow over my head & its all painful in my sinus'. Grrr has to happen just when the temps start hitting 30.

Wow blanche. You must be baby proofing like crazy. We're nowhere near doing that.

We're doing longer tummy times and she likes trying to see what's on the table but cant completely pull up yet.

Christy I hope the head cold passes quickly.

Having a crap week at work but then hey its JUST work. Ella's teething again and is very upset during the day and night. She woke up in pain last night at 10pm and wouldnt sleep for 30mins. But then she woke up at 7am so that was fine.

I think the next bottom teeth are pushing - cant see them but poor Ella can feel them!

hugs kim - those last few days are the worst... they seem to drag on and on... I was extremely uncomfortable with aston, and had beautiful branxton hicks - and in the end an "irritable uterus" spent three days in hospital 2 weeks before he finally arrived because I kept having contractions, and with my history (placental abruption with Nathan) they wanted to monitor to me... I hope bub arrives soon for you, so you can move onto the next part of your journey.

Christy - I had a cold recently too - and it was all in my nose. Its horrid eh - I was worried I would end up with Sinusitus so I went to the chemist and got a decogestant to dry me up.

Ann - yuk on the work front. I remember when I went back to work after I had Laura, there were many days that I came home and would just sit on the kitchen floor and cry - I hated it that much. While I had been on Mat leave the company I worked for had merged with another one, and the whole culture of the place had changed. lots of unhappy people... It was so horrid that I swore when I left I would never go back to the corporate world again - and I haven't... unless of course teaching and schools can be considered a corporation of sorts, and after some of the politics I have dealt with in that arena I have come to the conclusion that where ever there are is a diverse group of individuals often there will be conflict...btw your boss sounds like a complete PRATT, and like gigi said its outrageous that he even asked you about another baby.

Tara - aston had a shocker last night - and woke at 5am, i'm shattered today - i have just put him down to have a sleep, and will be quickly following him once he is asleep. I think he is teething again - revolting nappies, nappy rash, red cheeks, and unsettled... gotta love the teething monster!!

Blanche - I hope that the doctor can get DH's medication sorted. sometimes it takes trying a couple of different ones before you can get good results. If I catch u online today I will chat to u about it.

Nelly - you doing ok hun? I'll try and ring you again today.

Yesterday was great - I so enjoyed the quiet, and I think Aston did too actually. We have been so incredibly busy that it was nice to doss about at home, and play. I didnt get out of my PJ's til I had to get ready to pick kids up from school for swimming training.

Aston is walking around holding onto one hand now, and then gets ****y and thinks he can run!! until he falls down. I'm not sure if I'm ready for a walking toddler yet! Where did my tiny baby boy go???

He has a filthy temper - but gets over himself pretty quickly too. interesting times ahead lol

have a good day girls... I'm off back to bed for a while.

URgh..... stupid nose. i think sinusitis isn't far off. The pain!! I've not had sinus pain like this since the big burn episode... (when I tried to steam my nose & wound up in hospital with bad burns)

Heaps of storm activity today, and we are staying in our pj's. May have to make a trip to the chemist as we have nothing here for colds atm. Used it all

We were planning a day at the beach on Saturday... wonder if that will happen with the weather.

What else? jovie is cruising along happily now, starting to try & take a step between things... she's so hesitant its great. She's more of a wuss than Matilda though LOL Matilda would wind up with bruises from her activities at this age but Jovie cries when she lands on her bum... hehehe so cute & of course I pick her up everytime....

Well better go orgainse something for today, otherwise both girls are going to be very very bored soon.

This weather is crazy! it's quite eerie the way it's thundering all day...very ominous.
Kim i'm sorry you're in so much pain I cant imagine what a stress it must be, sending 'waterbreaking vibes' your way.
Christy - try food colouring in egg yolk to paint with, mercury dough, mix some glue and jelly crystals and paint with that..i'm racking my brain for you! i left work a year ago so its mostly just mush in there now!
Sorry to all those having a crappy time at work. my boss rang the other day and said i was due to go back, whoops! i forgot! i said i'd do 1 day a week but she said no, 5 please so i said no thanks.
Blanche - I think i have things baby proofed and then evie breaks through! she just pushed the barrier out of the way to get to the laundry! yikes!
Last night I tried to put her to sleep but just standing next to the cot as i have been doing and waiting for her to tire herself out - which takes about an hour. last night she would crawl around and crash on her face and i'd think sweet she's going to sleep, then next thing, she'd sit up, put her hands above her head, clap and then put her hands back up again and launch into a crawl only to crash again. i had to try so hard not to laugh. too cheeky. in the end i have to hold her down and shhh in her ear until she falls asleep!

Tara thats exactly what Jovie's been doing at night, she'll fall asleep in our arms, we put her in the cot & whammo she's up before we've left the room & she's doing a little dance and laughing So we have started sitting next to the cot & looking the other way, if she lays down we turn around & shhhh and pat her bottom, if she gets up we turn around & look the other way.
