Yeh for getting your home back Vicky.

Oh Kim, that must have been so scarey to see Chelsea standing up on the back seat - in the middle of traffic when you can't just pull over - without having to deal with other people's tut tutting too! they don't understand all you're dealing with! I can think of the strap that goes ACROSS the bub's chest to narrow the vertical straps, for safety, but dont' know what they're called or where they're sold.

i do a homemade version for our highchair cos bilby squirms out of those 5 point harness vertical straps, i wend the two ends of her bib thru the harness and once i've snapped up the bib, THEN the harness is shortened and pulled up so she can't get out. Doubt you could do that with a car seat harness though.

Taralee - that's wonderful you're moving back into your old place! wow, i'm so curious how you managed to swing it, for ages you came up with plans, they fell thru and then you stopped talking about it, so i thought it was a no deal. You've prolly already explained it elsewhere, wish i knew where! So without knowing any details I"M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!

Kim - are you and Craig committed to moving back to NSW, like sold house/told landlord or is it a "dream" thing to aim for? Moving to where you'll be around supportive family sounds great to me.

SLEEP NEWS - i got FIVE HOURS last night - from 4am to 9am - thank you little ceiling projector thingy!!!! wow!!!

Day 11 of 17 days of heatwave
it will be 38 or 39 everyday until Wednesday next week (when it will be 31)
    tomorrow is 40

how do people in far north WA and NT cope? i'm sure they have worse temps but gawd, i am struggling with this. A person died today due to the heat. bushfires are starting too. we're all waiting for power failures.

makes me wonder if we should migrate to another state - somewhere with rain

bilby is also wandering around saying eh wo (Hello).

my flickr page has pics of us at womad if you're interested

ahh funny little people we have

Vicky Jake is the same and this morning to wake me up he threw his super ball at my head teehhee then climbed on the bed and gives me a kiss and cuddles

we have sorted his sleeping issues so days and nights are both good gosh I am so tired though been burning that candle at both ends again - I don't know how you nights owls do the late nights every night.

went shopping yday and decided to let Jake walk as long as he held my hand. Was god for the first 5 seconds then was happy to just walk beside me... then started to run off. So I went to pick him up and carry hm only to have him prostrate himself on the ground and scream. So picked him up ignoring the screaming and crying and he's flailing his arms about and carrying on like a pork chop - now when he wants to get down he straightened his whole body rigid with his arms above his head so you have nothin to hold onto. need to get me a monkey for him....

well we timed our latest ttc attempt to a tee I actually knew when I o'd so now just waiting waiting....

how is everyone else going today?

arghhhh.... so over being a woman! finding it incredibly hard to love this body that has given me three beautiful children!

It is nice to have my house back - and fart when ever I feel like it lol. Aston cried when we dropped the girls off yesterday, and went looking for them this morning funny boy.

Nelly - gotta love those tanties! have you looked online for a Monkey? fingers crossed that this is the month for you.

Kim - you have a little houdini on your hands. I'm so glad aston hasn't figured out how to do that- yet!!

Blanche - have you tried picking emelia up and removing her away from you when she hits you? I have done that with Aston - picked him up and planted him somewhere away from where all the action is. and if he throws food or plates when in the highchair, i take everything off him and turn the chair away from us. for a minute at the most, then go and speak to him...telling him that its not ok to do "whatever"... then we have a cuddle. The concept of "I did this, and the consequence was being removed from where all the fun is" is starting to sink in I think. I guess its like mini time out. if that makes sense.

A book that I highly recommend is Boundaries for Kids, written by two pyschologists. Its a christian book - with biblical references through out, which if you find too much you can just skim over, because there is HEAPS of pratical, sound solutions that work!!! I wish I had read it earlier then I did...

Gigi - yay on the projector thing working, and getting some sleep... may it continue!!!

Jols - Sophie's mouth must be so sore. poor darling. bloody teething monster!! How are you doing hun?

Ann - how are you and Ella?

christy - are you lurking darling?

i'm blahhhhhhhhhh today... in pain and over being a woman. going to have to take some strong painkillers soon...which i hate doing when its just me and aston. i figure if I take them now...by the time he has a morning sleep I can lay down too... and hopefully get through the day. blahghghg....

Anyone for a spewing, tanty chucking, lets bash mum and baby sis up, back chatting 15 month old??

Yes my darling monkey is in full swing today. After walking into her room this morning and heaving, holding back my own spew i turn on the light to see vomit...EVERYWHERE....all over her sheets, blankets, dolly, carpet, change table and the cot rails. Then she gets up and chucks tantys cos i have to wash her fav dolly and she cant have it, so proceeds to bit and hit me, then i get angry so she takes it out on Jasmine, who then screams like she has never done before. then i *try* to talk with Chels....only for her to say 'Stop it' 'No' 'Go way' arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Kids...why do we have them?? My body is a blob of fat (but hey im on a diet now...first weigh in is Saturday and im packing my dacks about it).

Vicky i feel for you. It sucks being a chick some days hey!

Nelly i hope this is the month for you and there will be a 2nd bubba on the way. When we go to the shops we have a harness (like Astons) only its a dog....and Chelsea wont walk....she crawls with it....lots laugh, i dont . So i let her walk alone and try not to make a big deal if she starts running off vos it makes her worse...and thinks its a game!

Gigi on some sleep at last!!!!! Did you get my email in regards to the cups? I ask cos i have an awful feeling our support system is playing up, so can you please let me know if u did indeed get it or if Craig needs to check it out. As for moving, our family is all in NSW. The house we live in PIL own, but its in a family trust and should they pass away the house becomes ours. So in theory its our house and we pay the rent/mortgage repayments on it. Ive not heard a thing from Craig about moving back...so im stuck in Vic with no one i guess for a lot longer.

Blanche i used to put Chelsea in her room when she bit/hit etc.....but then she didnt care cos in her room she detroys everything. Unpacks her drawers. pulls all the wipes out....empties the cupboards and pulls clothes off the hangers i really do have a handful of a child!!

nelly, i can just see jake still as a board with you carrying him, they become slippery little things when they do that doen they!!!
lets hope you caught that eggy this month!!!!!!!

vicky, nasty AF pains? its amazing what we women go through and what do me get, mmmmmm nothing, zero, nada, sucks hey, grab some panadiene and a heat pack and head off to bed

gigi yay for the 5 hours sleep!!!! must have felt sooo good!!! its going to be 38 here today and 39 tomorrow, i feel sorry for you having so many days above 35!

kim spewy again , yuk! have you both got gastro????

i have finally realised that if sophie only sleeps for a hour a day its obviously all she needs!! ive been reading that at this age they need 13-14 hours in 24 and she gets most of that at night! last night was 13 hours, we play, have quiet time, snack bottle then bed, i do however leave her in bed for the 90 mins ragardless of how long she actually sleeps for, yesterday after 1 hour, i went to check her, thinking she was still asleep, wide awake but she just lied there for another 30 mins, so she;s learning!!!
