kim - Chelsea will let you know when she is ready to start. don't stress about it. definately not worth it. we have a potty in the bathroom, that aston sits on if he wants to - has only done a wee once in it, and that was more accidental then anything else. I'm waiting for the warmer weather before I even consider it.

Tara - glad you are feeling more on top of things hun

    Ann - how you doing?

    Blanche - clever girl emelia.

Jols - how you feeling? how's your new moderating hat?

gigi - hi hun. how are things with DH?

    Nelly - Hidey ho

    Christy - packing yet?

sorry its short and sweet. I feel like cr@p. aston is sick AGAIN... cold that has become croup. ended up at the hospital friday night, and he is on predisone, which I so hate giving him, but is the only thing that works. he is so miserable................ and I feel horrid.

things are better with evie - she's a smart kid and knows what the deal is, she just likes to push it. but she's worked out she can give everyone kisses and "gentle pats" and the house is a lot happier lol

    Re: Potty Training
Unless your toddy is showing a real interest in using the toilet and is realising when they need to go or that they've already gone - there's no point in toilet training. Once they are ready, you go hard at doing it for like a week and they'll get it. if they're not ready it will take so much longer.
Just what i've learnt, so don't feel bad Kim - evie's not really interested either. she was a while ago but then worked out it was too much like hard work! lol
Keep talking about it and there's heaps of books you can read in the mean time about using the potty etc

Tara thats right, Matilda wasn't interested at all after her little stint of TT at 20 months, she did a week of poo's in the toilet & we caught most wee's but then she got sick & reverted back & didn't catch the idea of TT again until she was 3 yrs old.

Thanks girls for asking about the packing. We've decided (long and hard) to rent the house out, so that means less stress now! WOOT! It means we've decided to move in the 2nd birthday week so the 1st week of November, so we don't have to worry about selling the house, and settlement etc. We have a few months to get it presentable for renting and then we just have to find somewhere to rent (which we were already going to do) and then go from there. So packing can take its time over the next 2 months whew.... and I can relax a bit now. We've had a garage sale, and done the front yard, we've also done a huge council clean up so now there isn't much left to do! I have to go pick up the hammock and my sling from someone else and then I have to go to Sydney for a long weekend and find a house to rent with 2 kids and 2 dogs.... LOL just a little thing.

well our trip to Perth zoo saturday was fun not! both my kids were a nightmare, the day started off great Jack happily slept in the pram and Emelia was happy looking at the animals, then i have no idea what happened...Jack wouldnt settle screaming, wouldnt take a bottle, dummy anything...Emelia was becoming a little devil running off and sitting on the floor screaming when we held her hand then screamed even louder when we tried putting her back in the pram...i nearly had a mummy meltdown in the lions viewing area lol everyone was staring but i couldnt have cared less i just wanted to leave!! so we went home only having seen half the zoo, and im not planning on going back anytime soon think ill stick to our litte zoo here in mandurah

Feeling better today. Had the weekend from hell. Sick a few times each day.... sound like a bloody broken record.

    I'm fed up.

Ella is good. She's been a pain in the evenings but when I tell her off she screams and comes crawling back and tries to put her head in my lap. Poor sausage I give into her everytime.

No where near potty training here. Ella denies she's ever doing a wee or poo.

Kim - Woohoo on the hair. I should have done that for my b'day but forgot! oops.

Blanche - Sorry to laugh at your nightmare at the zoo. But its good to hear other kids do have meltdowns (not just Ella) I have ladies look at me as if i'm such a bad mum.

Going to the twins clinic tomorrow for the first visit. I hope we get to have another look at them. Just to see if they are there.
