I don't know what the f**k is going on.
evie had 2 naps today but is getting to be really difficult to put down at night. 1030 she woke last night to come into our bed. considering i hadn't even gotten into bed yet, i was not happy.
grizzly today...which seems to be the norm of late.
maybe it's a big growth spurt.
i figure there's no point being tough on her now about staying in her own bed at night...she obviosuly needs the comfort or something.
thought i felt some movements down below this evening but nothing. i'm so sick of beign disappointed!! haha
sorry, selfish post
-
AJP - how embarrassemtn about the PIN! but totally understandable. THe amount of PINs, passwords we have to carry around in our memories these days, even when not pregnant, i really struggle to remember them all.
Vicky - where is your dh up to with his op?
Christy - i would SO love any recipe help with hiding vegies and fruit!
i am also after sugar replacement receipes that use NATURAL sugars, not the artificial sweeteners. I've been googling "sugar free muffins" for example, and i get all these recipes using Splenda etc that i don't want to use.
Still after stab mixer recommendations if anyone has a fave - ones that puree cooked veg easily, wihtout having to add heaps of water.
Muffins and quiche i think i will concentrate on, that's what she seems to like to eat, and cake too. A sugar free or low in sugar carrot cake, another way to get carrot into her.
Last night i got her to eat watermelon! i was so excited!
Yesterday, i went and did a big (for me) f * v shop, well mainly Fruit. Feels so nice to have a good quantity of fruit in the house for a change. Im starting to cook again, for bilby. In the last week, i've been baking vegetable chips in the oven, made two packet mixes of muffins (would like to make them from scratch once i discover how to do that), made her premium mince spag bologn tonight (whihc she wouldn't touch, despite eating the childcare one yesterday). So this is a big change for me, one i have been needing to do for a very long time. I don't know what's different, i'm not back to normal (loving to cook) but it's better than it has been for nearly two years now, so that's a start in the right direction at least.
Taralee - the gazebo?? LOL - not long now hon - though it must not seem that way.
AJP - bilby has just got to 11kg, 10 -11 seemed to happen wihtout me realising it. I think cos she's still in the smae size nappies, on the same settings, it never dawned on me that she has been growing. i only really notice it when her tops start showing her tummy. (height).
Blanche - how is Jack going? is he back to his usual self?
we still only have two words, but the comprehension is there.
i don't think i'll ever stop yearning for bilby to LET me hug her. She rejects affection. it breaks my heart. i love her so much but she won't allow hugs.
-
 Gigi, Matilda only started when she noticed I loved cuddling Jovie, it took years for her to accept affection. Now she loves it. BUT it seriously took a good 2 1/2 to 3 years. And I would lament about it. I would get so upset that she didn't like me, that I could shower her with the affection I wanted to do. She also wouldn't eat anything. She would go weeks without eating dinner, just snacks throughout the day. She lost 2 kg at 2 yrs. Refusing foods she ate one day & refused the next. I would find something she liked like spag bol and then I would do a huge cook up & freeze portions and then she would go off it  and not eat it for a week. It is the most frustrating thing.
I think what we decided to do was then the 20 minute rule, you get dinner in front of you for 20 minutes, and then we take it away. We don't get emotional about it (anymore), we enjoy our dinner and we encourage her to have a bite. Then we take it away. If she gets hungry, we offer her a choice of dinner or fruit and if she says no than thats it. She has a small glass of rice milk before bed.
She still will refuse dinner, but at 4 we have a bit more communication and a sort of bribery which gets her to eat her dinner. We say she can't leave the table until she's eaten 3 bites. But she's older. Jovie didn't eat dinner last night, we gave up and right before bed offered her a weetbix to get something in her belly before bed.
I also stopped enjoying cooking. But I've gained it back, it took a while.
Here's yesterday's breakfast:
2 eggs
1/2 cup apple puree
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp water
old bread
Mix everything but the bread together in a shallow dish, dip bread for a while on both sides to be coated by the mix & soaks some of it up. I pop a spray of oil in the pan & fry it up. I serve this for the girls cut into soldiers. I've hidden broccoli in there as well ;) Sweet potato works too. What I do is puree a heap of veges & apples & pears and chuck it in the freezer to use.
So if I don't have one puree, I'll use another one.
-
GIGI i was going to suggest something like chrsity and use pureed apple or pear as your sweetner in muffins pileltes etc...
-
wow thats sneaky christy! lol i'll have to try that one! BTW we do the same thing with dinner. i dont like the thought of her going to bed hungry, but i'm also not going to stuff around for an hour every night!!
Gigi - good on you! feels good to get stuff done doesnt it!
-
Hi ladies.

I'm still sitting here. kept being woken up by pains last night. DTD so i thought something might happen but not the case lol. baby's moved down heaps tho so i'm trying to tell myself that each day is a day closer yadda yadda. will see what my ob says tomorrow..if i havent poked it out myself
-
Sorry Blanche, i just realised i missed a chunk of your post. I hope you are starting to get back on top of things. Don't be too hard on yourself tho..those hormones are still running around your tired lil head.
i think you're doing a great job, as does everyone. big hugs to you
-
thanks guys. It was a complete shock. Twins dont run in my family (that I know of) so we didnt expect it. Twins run in DH's family but i dont think that makes a difference.
I'm feeling overwhelmed. I wanted another baby so much... and now I have two. I dont know if that's to teach me a lesson about wanting something so much.
Both babies are a good size, each the correct size for a baby of this age. I've got 2 7week old babies in my tummy - freaky.
Lots of things going through my head. Will i be able to BF, How will i settle them both, pram, car, house...
I know its a blessing but it is overwhelming.
Tara - hope those pains turn into Labour pains soon.
ann
-
Ann you will work it out...plenty of time! It will be a shock goin from 1 to 3 overnight thats for sure!
I keep praying and wishing that at my 19 week scan they say theres 2 bubbas....but i know the chance is sooooo slim :(
-
you'll be fine ann!!! so happy for you!!
frateranl are can be heriditary, identical freak of nature!! every women has 1 in 80 chance of conciveing twins!!!
had my GP appointment today, all good, scan in 2 weeks first wmidwife appt in 4 weeks!!
-
Wow Jols...10 weeks already..thats flying along!
-
tell me about it!!!
oh and the money should show up soon for you, credit union is a bit slower!!
-
Wow Jols, that is going quick!
Ann, don't worry hun. i felt the same when i found out about this bubba (and thats only one!!), but it's amazing how much time you actually have to get used to the idea, and not only that, but how much ella will grow in that time is encouraging too. I think now that you know, you'll spend the next 30 weeks thinking in 2's and how you'll do everything to accommodate 2, well...3, so it won't be such a shock when they come along...altho you will know about it! haha .. YAY for you!!
how's DH feel about it?
-
Jols you read my mind..i just made Craig check if the money hit the account cos i was packaging items up to send tomorrow morning....and nothing there. I was like thats strange....doesnt take that long normally....come on here and see your message!

-
Oh yeah...lets guess for Tara!! I loved my one for Jasmine!
My guess:
Boy, 51cm, 3635grams, 1st August @ 7.36pm
I have guessing poll for BumbleBee atm: https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...bumblebee.html
Chelsea has been in bed since 130 and still sound asleep.....loves her afternoon naps!!
-
Tara:
Boy 50cm, 3.5kg 29 July 9am
DH was looking after Ella during the scan. They were both in the room but he had his hands full stopping her from emptying the water fountain on the floor.
The guy doing the scan said "well my day was rather boring till you came along". I said "F*@k that"
ooops. He said he loved his job coz he delivers news and people swear at him. LOL
Just been reading I've gotta eat more for the other baby. God i'm going to be a porker! I'm already showing. We told our families yesterday and my SIL guessed I was pregnant from my bump.
Kim - i cant belive you are that far along. I remember we were trying around the same time. Can I ask why you want twins?
Jols - They say twins can be about 3weeks early (full term is 37wks) so I may be due about the same time as you! ;)
Ann
-
Ann ive always wanted twins, Dh family has a history of them (his bro was a twin but he was stillborn). I know i probably will never achive my dream...and i guess thats why all my kids will be close...its the best im going to get as far as twins go. I wish i was further along then only 15 weeks!
-
OMG Ann.... I'm in shock for you. I have no idea what or how you would be feeling atm. I wanted desperately to have twins, but I know the reality of it is so different to living it.
-
my guess for tara: 3 August Girl 50cm 7lb 2oz 11.05am
i remember meeting a lady when I was pregnant with aston, I was about 7mths i think. She had a little person with her, about 2yrs,and a very obvious pregnant belly. and we were chatting..."how far are you" I asked expecting her to say 5 - 6 mths. !2weeks. the look on my face must have been priceless because she quickly said, I'm having twins.
Blanche - glad you are having a good weekend, and feeling a bit better. hope things keep going up from here on in.
Christy - how goes the house hounting, packing, etc etc etc. I still can't believe you are going!!!
jols - 10 weeks already!!! and Kim, you fast approaching the half way mark.
I'm flat at the moment. not sure why - are feeling apprehensive about going away, and can't work out why. I have spent all weekend getting the five of us organised to go away, and cleaning the house, for the people who are looking after our place while we are away. I think I need a weekend away by myself....feeling rather empty at the moment.
-

Tara - I thought you would like to have the baby after a bit of shut eye and in time for breakfast.
I guess you like mine the best!
Ann
-
Oh Ann, i've always known you were the one for me lol
it's alright girls...given my mood swings and general pregnant state of mind, i will have forgotten about it by morning
-
LOL you are a funny mummy Tara.
At home today as I was so sick after getting out of the shower. I didnt have it this badly with Ella....
Sigh. Just been reading that with twins you get 2wice the morning sickness.
So i'm eating little meals. Last night could only have soup.
Ella is such a comedian. She's been making herself laugh. She's suddenly not eating. I think its because she's been sick recently and has been having a tough winter winter with some thing every other week.
Ann
-
Oh i feel for you Ann if you get twice the m/s......i had it terribly bad with Chelsea....got better with Jasmine and this time much better!!
