its so exciting isnt it blanche!!!! go emelia!!!!!
Yay Emelia!!!
Sorry about your pg troubles Ann! I know how stressful it is, and that 12 week mark isnt far away. i had no end of trouble in those first 12 weeks with chino. take it easy.
feeling soooooooooooooooo much better today, really back on top of things!! Hooray!
i got my hair done today!! Feels and looks really good...well i think so anyhow! Went out alone with Craig tonight for tea, then went to the club and won $50 on the pokies!
Chelsea is loving having Grandma here....been a real blessing and an angel....oh come Tuesday she will be my lil horror again..
Jasmine is crawling too!!!! Only small distances but its a start....proud of my girls!
WTG Emelia...
Im so not a good mummy..Chelsea has no interest in the potty..and i sure as hell have no motivation to try either...some one tell me off.
yay Tara feelin on top of things..thats great news! Hows Chino and big sister Evie getting along?
kim - Chelsea will let you know when she is ready to start. don't stress about it. definately not worth it. we have a potty in the bathroom, that aston sits on if he wants to - has only done a wee once in it, and that was more accidental then anything else. I'm waiting for the warmer weather before I even consider it.
Tara - glad you are feeling more on top of things hun
Ann - how you doing?
Blanche - clever girl emelia.
Jols - how you feeling? how's your new moderating hat? :)
gigi - hi hun. how are things with DH?
Nelly - Hidey ho
Christy - packing yet?
sorry its short and sweet. I feel like cr@p. aston is sick AGAIN... cold that has become croup. ended up at the hospital friday night, and he is on predisone, which I so hate giving him, but is the only thing that works. he is so miserable................ and I feel horrid.
things are better with evie - she's a smart kid and knows what the deal is, she just likes to push it. but she's worked out she can give everyone kisses and "gentle pats" and the house is a lot happier lol
Re: Potty Training
Unless your toddy is showing a real interest in using the toilet and is realising when they need to go or that they've already gone - there's no point in toilet training. Once they are ready, you go hard at doing it for like a week and they'll get it. if they're not ready it will take so much longer.
Just what i've learnt, so don't feel bad Kim - evie's not really interested either. she was a while ago but then worked out it was too much like hard work! lol
Keep talking about it and there's heaps of books you can read in the mean time about using the potty etc
Tara thats right, Matilda wasn't interested at all after her little stint of TT at 20 months, she did a week of poo's in the toilet & we caught most wee's but then she got sick & reverted back & didn't catch the idea of TT again until she was 3 yrs old.
Thanks girls for asking about the packing. We've decided (long and hard) to rent the house out, so that means less stress now! WOOT! It means we've decided to move in the 2nd birthday week so the 1st week of November, so we don't have to worry about selling the house, and settlement etc. We have a few months to get it presentable for renting and then we just have to find somewhere to rent (which we were already going to do) and then go from there. So packing can take its time over the next 2 months whew.... and I can relax a bit now. We've had a garage sale, and done the front yard, we've also done a huge council clean up so now there isn't much left to do! I have to go pick up the hammock and my sling from someone else and then I have to go to Sydney for a long weekend and find a house to rent with 2 kids and 2 dogs.... LOL just a little thing.
woo hoo christy on not having to sell! hope you find a house in sydney easily
Kim- my nappies arrived this morning they are gorgeous thankyou thankyou, but i do have one complaint!!!...my maid wasnt in the package will she be arriving soon :cryinglaugh:
Vicky - hope Aston is well again soon poor little guy.
well our trip to Perth zoo saturday was fun not! both my kids were a nightmare, the day started off great Jack happily slept in the pram and Emelia was happy looking at the animals, then i have no idea what happened...Jack wouldnt settle screaming, wouldnt take a bottle, dummy anything...Emelia was becoming a little devil running off and sitting on the floor screaming when we held her hand then screamed even louder when we tried putting her back in the pram...i nearly had a mummy meltdown in the lions viewing area lol everyone was staring but i couldnt have cared less i just wanted to leave!! so we went home only having seen half the zoo, and im not planning on going back anytime soon :)think ill stick to our litte zoo here in mandurah
Went never went any hwere yesterday ...was soooo damn cold!
We are off to the play centre today though.
As for you Maid Blanche....the little bugger must have got off early....maybe she is being RTS....she should arrive back here soon!!!
Thats great you dont have to sell now Christy!
Feeling better today. Had the weekend from hell. Sick a few times each day.... sound like a bloody broken record. :(
I'm fed up.
Ella is good. She's been a pain in the evenings but when I tell her off she screams and comes crawling back and tries to put her head in my lap. Poor sausage I give into her everytime.
No where near potty training here. Ella denies she's ever doing a wee or poo.
Kim - Woohoo on the hair. I should have done that for my b'day but forgot! oops.
Blanche - Sorry to laugh at your nightmare at the zoo. But its good to hear other kids do have meltdowns (not just Ella) I have ladies look at me as if i'm such a bad mum.
Going to the twins clinic tomorrow for the first visit. I hope we get to have another look at them. Just to see if they are there.
Ann
Good luck tomorrow Ann.
Oh Perth Zoo Blanche, many a childhood day was spent there in my youth!
Christy - what a HUGE relief for you!
Took Chino to get weighed today, he's meant to be at his birthweight (3.18kg) by tomorrow and he's 3.62!!! YAY!!!
Also good for me - put my wedding rings back on today and my pre-preg pants are falling off me! woot!!
am i allowed 2 tickers in my sig?
no hun, just the one!!
yay on the weight gain!! and woot on the rings!!!
ann goodluck tomorrow!! hope you hget to see the buubas again!!
how was the playcenter kim?
blache wow sounds like a full on day!!
Tara use bump and beyond tickers..then u can have Evie and Chino in it!
Jols the centre was great..Chelsea didnt wanna leave!
Tara I'm going to edit your signature down to one ticker so that you don't get infracted for it. I hope you don't mind, just don't want to see it happen when I know you wouldn't mean to do anything wrong
Kim thats great about the play centre. Matilda always went crazy at those places and would sleep so well afterwards. She actually escaped out of one through the emergency exit!!! and we had to go tearing after her because we thought there was no way she could escape and happily drank our coffee. hehehe.... my little escape artist.
hi all.... still here.... aston has an ear infection now. and I have his cold, plus the witch is visiting and as you all know she knocks me around. the last two days when aston has slept so have i. he slept for four hours yesterday, and 3 today!
went to the doctor yesterday and are having my annual GTT test next week, and a whole lot of other bloods. so over being fatigued ALL THE TIME. I'm sure you can relate christy. plus off to have an ultrasound next week too, on my right breast.... i discovered a tender spot while away. can't feel a lump, just is sore in a particular spot....
:(
hi all
happy late bday ann sorry I missed it!
we are off to sydney tmrw -driving down for the week - and hopefully will get to catch up with ann! soooo looking forward to a break.
well I had an exciting weekend - it was the Tware conference in Brisbane and I was asked to do a presentation in front of all of the conference (1200 tupperware ladies) and it was AWESOME!!!! my team was no 2 in qld /nth nsw and we won heaps of awards, and I did too. afterwards there was a dinner and got tarted up and had a great night with dh while jakey stayed with my aunt. man I had forgotten how great hotel sex can be ;)
then today Jake and I decided to go to dfo to get me some long sleeved tees and jake decided to do what sounds like everyone else's child did over the weekend - chuck a super spack. lying on the floor, scremaing when in the pram, screaming when out, knocking over mannequins while he climbed in the shop windows - a perfectly well behaved child (not)!
Congrats Nelly! go the hotel sex! Jake must have known something was up - hence the super spack! he must have heard you ;)
Thanks Kim - new ticker ahoy!
Evie reverted back to her hitting ways this afternoon :(
they are all rapidly approaching the terrible twos... lol.... hang in there everyone, I promise it will get better.
LOL Vx... Jovie is on the ground banging her nose to the ground.... screaming because we want to put a nappy on her  Can't wait.... she's pretty independant. She doesn't want any help whatsoever and wants to do everything herself.
But after Matilda, she's easy. Tonight I told her to sit down at the table (she kept getting up & running around) and she ran up to me with a cranky look on her face & said "NO WAY" clearly.... :spit: Both DH & I cracked up laughing... we couldn't help it. So then Matilda started jumping up & running around yelling "No Way! No Way!" arghhhhh girls!
Oh man, well i hope it gets better because this is killing me. i was feeding chino on the bed this morning and evie climbed up next to me and we were having a nice time then out of nowhere smacks me right in the eye - i thought i was going to have a massive bruise. anyways i pushed her away as a reflex and of course felt terrible. she is so up and down. her 2 bottom eye teeth are almost thru so i know thats adding to the situation.
I really need some gentle parenting tips for how to deal with her. i told dh we should be mega-praising the good and telling her off once and then letting it go for the naughty things. but i feel like all we do is tell her off! the good bits are way way outweighed by the bad bits :help:
i just want my girl back :(
meanwhile, i have the dream baby. sleeps and eats, sleeps and eats. evie is still sleeping in our bed at night, but i swear i wake up more to her than i do to him!
:comfort: tara.
have you tried the "naughty corner"? I have done it with aston, and I had to say that it works. the warning is all i need to do lately. having said that - tomorrow is another day, and it could all go pear shaped.
Evie is testing your boundaries hun. plus the adjustment from being the only child in the house to having to share mum and dad is big for them. Laura gave me such a hard time with nathan was born, loved nat to bits, but gave me heaps.
in times of immense stress for me I use this mantra "this too shall pass".
 Tara, Emelia was the same in the beginning..she would be fine one minute then the next would act out and do naughty things to get attention which was understandable but very frustrating. we did the praising when she did good things and that made her happy! i did let her get away with alot of things which was a terrible mistake cos now she can be very difficult when im trying to tell her no.
i just had to make sure i involved her in everything i did with Jack as much as i could anyways, now she is a big help...its a hard time but soon it will all come together its just Evie adjusting to the new routines. your only human hun and your doing a wonderful job :)
tara sophie is really testing the boundries as well!!! seriously she has changed over night!!! adn does everything naughty with the cheekiest grin on her face!!! im tearing my hair out, that and bad day sleeps!!!
so tired, bad bloating and today was the first day of no m/s!!!
Another boundary pusher here...but i ignore it and she stop...naurthy coner doesnt work here...Chelsea finds it to fun...and theres no place in this house that cant entertain her!
Thanks girls, good to know. Thank goodness i have such a patient baby!!!!!!!!!!!
well my darling daredevil daughter had learnt how to climb OUT of her cot!! great....NOT!!! off bed shopping this weekend, just hope we can get one!! so not ready for this to be happening just yet!
cheeky girl Sophie!!! goodluck bed shopping, might make her have a better day sleep though Emelia loves going to beD!
ann- how did you go at the twin clinic the other day?

Scary Kim but you will be fantastic!
Jols I meant to say, Matilda started climbing out of her cot when she was 16 months! and I definately wasn't ready for it yet. We were no where near about to cope with it, so we took the side off her cot and a mattress on the ground next to it. Good luck! Jovie's been in a big girl bed for a month now....
Oh! She's run to the toilet saying "Poooeeee" eek!
Hi All im just seeing if my ticker is going to work there is no photo yet but ill soon put one up
