welcome back lealea, im due with my second in feb next year!!!
thanks chrsity! she's gone to sleep tonight in the cot, no attempts to escape, will seee what the morning holds, bed will be ordered tomorrow, but will take 5 weeks!!!!!!!!!!! eekkkkkkkkkkk
if we have to we'll pop her cot matress on the floor and she can sleep there!
-
beds???? eekkkk...... i'm so NOT ready for that one.
welcome back Lealea.
-
neither am i vicky!!
i seriously thought we have problems moving her before next bub, but nooooooooooo she has other ideas!
-
We tried the single bed with bedrail thingy a few months ago (gee i felt nervous), but moved back to the cot since.
i don't know what we will do when bilby outgrows the highchair (or refuses to go in it), we still don't have a kitchen table and chairs. She can't eat on her lap on the sofa (like we do).
My sweet placid bilbstar has turned into Boofy Bilby! I take her to childcare, and now she is at a place where she is the oldest, and there are all these bubs much younger than her, so cruising, either JUST learning to walk, or still crawling - i cannot believe how ROUGH she is with them. Walks over to them agressively, stares them out and boofs them! i am horrified seeing this!! My words seem to mean nothing to her. I model "gentle touching" and apologise to the other child, knowing this is an age appropriate stage for her, but still feeling SO embarrassed.
we didn't get this at the last child care place cos she was the smallest one in that setting.
Three weeks into my PND group, we are yet to have our first group - cancellations, re-scheduling and no-shows. I wish it would hurry up and start.
Ann - how are you going with your pregnancy hon? ANy update on the Graves condition?
Welcome back Lea Lea - i don't actually remember you, but that doesn't mean much, my memory is a bit gone to mush these days. My bub will be two in mid November. ANd she will be my only child.
-
Our single bed is a dust collector....
-
perhaps jas will be in it first kim!!!
gigi its hard seeing a once placid kid become rough!!
-
Well im seriously considering moving her from the porta cot to the bed Jols!
Poor BumbleBee wont have a bed at this rate....well the cradle for first few month then what?? LOL
4 days to goooo!
-
That makes me feel much better gigi i have only got one baby too but i think my hubbie wants to try again soon well maybe this time next year as we did just get engaged in november last year 3 days befor Georgia's 1st birthday it was so nice anyway.
im thinking of putting her into a bed soon too how would i go about doing that most mornings i find her up the other end of the cot and upsidedown how can i stop that too or will she grow out of it?
and How would i go about toilet training her she already says poo to me is that a start or should i wait till summer time when she can run around with nothing on?
Sorry for all the questions too
-
Hi again but how do i get the new ticker up on my posts
Sorry
-
Hey Lealea, welcome back!
I've just had my second one and it's getting better each day. Even though it is a bit tricky i wouldnt change it for anything and feel so complete now..cliched i know!
I found with those lilypie tickers that i have to make a new one when i want to change something on it, then go into your profile, delete the current BBCode bit and paste in the new one from your newly created ticker. Does that make sense?
TMI warning, but any advice would be nice...anyone get baaaad-ass haemorrhoids after pg/childbirth? i think i'm dying lol any tips?
-
Tara i just get bad fissures..and all that ever helped to make it feel better and avoid getting it worse was Coloxyl with Senna.....safe in pregnancy and BF!
Try some Anusol (sp) cream too....but the tablets def were the only thing that helped me! Nothing else i tried did.
-
Ok this may or may not work
Ok i give up
Georgia is almost 2 thats all i can say
Where do i cut and paste it to do i paste it to here were im wrighting or wat and what code do i cut and paste?
:wall:
-
tara not after but i swear i have a roid now!! never had one! but ouch!!!
lealea are you making another one in lilypie, cut and paste the BB code, delete the current one (go to profile and scroll down to edit sig,) delet old one and paste new one!
sophies bed is ordered $1050 for the bed, trundle and bedside table, still yet to get a mattress! ouch!
-
lealea, cut & paste it here & I will put it in your sig for you
-
Hi I don't know where to paste it now so i hope iv done it right
It won't let me paste it on your screen and how do i see my prfile and how can i change my prfile
-
Copy the BB code off the ticker site...
Then paste the code in here and Christy will fix it up...
Or
Copy the BB code from the ticker site
Then on BellyBelly Go to 'user profile' (top left corner under the BellyBelly logo) then 'Edit signature'. In there you will see your current ticker....delete it all...and paste the new BB code.....then click 'Save'
-
Sorry, paste it in your post and I will copy it & put it in for you. You can email it to me as well... christy7@bellybelly.com.au
Goodluck!!
-
I did it woo hoo sorry for all the fuss!!!!! Thank for all your help too:lol:
Ok now the next question is how can i get a cartoon figger on the side of my name like yours?
and please tell me all the short meaning for the words too
-
Well done!!! One thing also, we say to do one post at a time, rather than a few in a row.... I'll go through & merge your posts but it helps keep the threads shorter.
There is a thread about forum abbreviations here: https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...-acronyms.html
The cartoon thing next to my name you can get if you join platinum membership... see one of the top forums for how to do that ;)
What else..... I can't think of anything, but ask away!
How is Georgia going with everything?
-
Hey Sorry for all the posts i didn't relise
Georgia is good but she keeps waking and wanting a bottel around 2am every night this has only started 3 weeks ago can you tell me some tips?.
oh and she eats like a horse so she isn't hungry.
Also do they see spirits? a few friends tell me that they can.
She has been asleep but screaming and sitting up and pointing to the wall we have tryed to wake her but im afraid ill scare her even more her eyes are wide open aswell. She even does it awake sometimes its like there is someone there but there is no one home but me and her.
-
LeaLea - your bub may be having "night terrors". Mine does the same. We just comfort her (usually a breastfeed then back to bed).
If Georgia is becoming toilet aware, that's great. Lots of different things people do with that.
- if child can tell you when a poo is coming, have a potty nearby to put her on
- other people say to wait until summer
- some people buy baby legwarmers to make it warmer for baby to TT (toilet train) in winter
- some people say don't try until they keep waking up with a dry night nappy
- other people practise "elimination communication" from newborn stage onwards, so they have signals for when baby wants to go wee or poo.
In the last few days, bilby has been able to pat the front of her nappy very emphatically, once she HAS poo-ed. So maybe that's her first sign of toilet awareness. She doesn't have teh verbal skills to tell me what it is.
i'm been modelling the behaviour for her, leaving the loo door open and telling her what i'm doing. (the things we do heh? LOL this is short for laugh out loud). Myabe it's sinking in!
Yesterday when i collected her from CC (childcare), she was patting the front of her nappy and the workers said, no it can't be that, we just changed her. So i ignored her signal, went to feed her on their lounge, and POOO EEEE, yep, had to go change her. So i should listen to her more.
i'm so glad she's past the stage of wanting to put her fingers in the poo!
KIM - good luck with the single bed situation! THREE days now!!
AJP - hope you get some roid relief soon, ouch.
TARA - don't worry hon, after having a bub, not much is TMI (too much information) to me now! I found roids scarey, the having to push them back in part - eeek. I had them when i went into labour and for the first few weeks after the c-section. I wish i'd had the cloth post partnum pads for that time, the disposable pads irritated me.
-
gigi sophie does the same when she's poo'd!! also says it when she want s to wee or about too, i ususally rush her to the potty and hope i havent missed it! we catch is 50 % of the time!!
-
Thanks guys, feeling a bit better. LOL it sucks that you go through having a natural birth and then have to worry about doing #2's lmao i'm like "i pushed out a baby for crying out loud!!!" (yes i know it's not the same out-passage lol lol)
Kim - i had some coloxyl from when i had evie but i've always been so sensitive to laxatives..is it a harsh one? like it hits you all of a sudden?
-
Tara it would only hit me hard if i took the maximum 4...LOL....normally 1 would help, but sometimes id take 2 if i felt like it was bad.....but really...they are gentle and ive heard sooo many people say its the best thing they have taken and work well.
-
excellent thanks for that Guinea Pig Kim lol
-
No worries!!!
2 sleeps to gooo!!!!
Chelsea is being a horror....Jasmine is crawling now :D
-
hope the tail end improves tara!!
wow go jas!! and :woot: on two more sleeps! what time is it!?
-
oh Tara  I had a few issues after both styles of birthing...
Kim *shiver* I'm getting excited for you
Us.... Jovie just waved to me & said "Ni Night" owww.... then she goes "mmmmm" for a kiss. Too cute. She's been great today, generally she's been hard work but today she's been great. Back to the grind tomorrow, I've got a shift 7.30-4 and then I have puppy preschool 6.30-9pmish... so there ya go. I get to drop the kids off before and pick them up afterwards... than do dinner & bath and go back to work. *groan* I don't want to do it this way. I've given the boys a prod last week to hire someone else but they aren't really wanting to do that. I will just have to put my foot down. One shift a week! Especially with 2 puppy preschools.
-
wow very busy chickie you are christy!
jovie is sounding very cute!!
went to see some friends who had twins on wed, two boys 6 weeks prem, 6lb2oz and 5lb13oz!! big bubba for premmies!! their doing well, home in a few weeks!!
-
Yeh in the last month Jas has gone from not rolling...to rolling over and over...and now crawling..started last week but the last few days she is unstoppable! Chelsea is loving that they can 'play' more now too.
They were laying on the floor before..facing each other talking...who knows what plans those two are making!!
Tuesday 9am at Dandenong Hospital.....im sooo excited cos ive waited for this day to arrive....but so scared and all the what ifs are rolling thrugh my head. Craig wont back down on the fact it could be a girl....he is dead set sure its a boy and not sure how he will cope otherwsie.
-
Good morning all
Thanks for all the info for potties training Georgia does tell me she has don'e a poo and pat the back of her pants but she has finished by then and when she does a wee well i have no idea when that is but she also tells me poo when she farts too.
I also leave the bathroom door open and she trys to look in the toilet while im going but i won't let her.
About the roids i think the anusol cream works best for my hubbie i havent got them and never have had them so im lucky there (even though i had a 10lb baby and all natural too) but i know what your going through the pain that my hubbie is goin through wow iv never seen him in so much pain.
Oh does anyone's baby have a fave video, dvd or show i got about 12 videos from a friend and the one Georgia likes the most is banans and play school oh and the telitubbies.
well the next few weeks are going to be flat out for me we are moving in 3 weeks and i havent even started packing anyway i hope you all have a great day and had a great weekend.
-
24 hours to go kim!!!! craig will be fine!
lealea sophie LOVES the bananas the most and then playschool
-
we have 3 faves here, in fact they're the only thing we watch. Wiggles, Peppa Pig and In the Night Garden.
What do you make of this - evie had conjunctivitis on saturday so i put some breastmilk in her eyes and it cleared right up, but she's still rubbing them a bit, so i dont know. my eyes are a bit stingy too...i think i'll take her to the doctor anyways just in case, we dont want that hanging around!
FYI that anusol bum cream worked really well too, thanks ladies.
Lealea! 10lb all nautral!!!! well done!!! yikes! makes me shiver
Did i tell you all Chino's birth story yet? it wasnt so pleasant
Looks like we're surrendering the cat to the pound today :( we cant find anyone who will take him :( but hes started going into the bush over the road and coming home covered in ticks - i found a big fat one on evie's head that had dropped off the cat and onto her, and thats just not a risk i am willing to take. makes me sick.
-
Hidey ho everyone
I had a wonderful weekend. My cousin and her partner came up from brisbane, the big kids went for sleep overs, and the mumma and dadda played up... once the wee one went to bed. had a bottle of bubbles, prawns and alantic salmon for dinner. was divine. The next best thing to actually going out to dinner.!!
yay kim on Jaz crawling. her and chelsea will have so much fun.
the things pregnancy and child birth do our bodies eh Tara.
Good to see you again Gigi. have been wondering how you going.
hi Christy - when do you go to sydney to look for somewhere to live?
Blanche - how's your two going?
Lealea - like gigi said - sounds like night terrors to me too. is normal at this age for this to happen. Aston does it too.
Ann - how you going hun? Have you caught up with Nelly while she has been down in your neck of the woods?
Jols- how's you cot escaping little girl going? thank god aston is not making any movements that resemble climbing out of his bed yet. fingers crossed it stays that way!
-

-
Sounds like bliss Vicky!
Kim - craig and my DH were out of the same mould i think - dh takes evie so i can sleep when chino's sleeping too - am dreading it when he goes back to work on sunday :(
Blanche - sounds like 2 very healthy bubbas you have!
So, Chino's birth story is here, for any interested...
Our story begins in a quiet suburb on the Gold Coast..which would be a lot quieter if t'weren't for the rowdy neighbours down the street lol just jokes
so i had an internal at my ob's that morning and he said about 1cm dilated, but it was too painful for the s&s so he left it. Didnt feel a thing for that whole day but did have quite a bit of spotting. around 6-7 that night i was sitting at the computer and thought things were a little more painful than usual but brushed it off as i was sick of getting my hopes up. Had dinner and pains got worse, so told DH to call his parents to come over. I went and had a shower and was having contractions every 3 minutes.
Got to the hospital around 1145, still only 1-2cms but contractions were seriously painful. So they just left me to do my thing. After an hour or so i went and stood in the shower, but it was so cold so i got into the bath.
Around 3am the midwife checked again and i was only 3cms and my waters still hadn't broken. I was absolutely devastated. I couldnt do anymore, i was just exhausted - i thought i was at least 7 or 8cms by then.
The midwife offered me some gas and said i just had to keep plugging through so i did.
Around 5am, still 3cms, she says she'll break the waters. Thank goodness, cos i was ready to die.
So she broke them and not much happened.
530 she calls in my ob, and now i'm starting to worry, chino still was not coming down cos he was posterior (which was why it was sooo painful!!!).
Finally, things start moving a bit and when the midwife did the internal and i was 8cms she realises the cord is around his neck, hence why he can't get down.
So they start asking questions about my blood type and if i would be against Chino and myself having transfusions if needed - now i panic and i am in no frame of mind to answer these kind of questions.
As i start to push they bring the resus trolley in, "just in case"
the actual pushing lasts 30mins and he's out. blue and floppy - but out.
With some untangling and vigorous rubs, he's crying like a champion, mummy's so so glad and daddy's cutting away at that cord.
Still had the waterbirth i wanted and only had gas, chino still has little cuts on his head from when my waters were broken but at the end of the day healthy baby and healthy mum.
Thank you and goodnight *takes a bow*
-
Wow thats a great story..im glad you got the birth you wanted Tara....bit scary seeing a blue floppy baby i bet? Glad Chino is fine and so healthy though!!
