Yeh for your scan going well Ann.
i just came home from seeing the movie "My best friend's girl" - really bad movie on so many levels. but it was my first going out dressed up without bilby night out (with my friend who will give birth in two weeks time, and be a mummy to two under two - and her desire was to go and see a movie in a cinema) - i came home, bilby had given dh a hard time all night, wanting her feed (which i tried to give her before i left, but she wasn't interested then!). So now it's nearly 1am and i'm waiting for her to wake up so i can feed her.
we're having photos 3pm Saturday afternoon - god i'm so nervous about how that will go - our FIRST proper photos as a family, well mainly bilby.
-
I'm up with you Gigi. Been up waiting for DH to come home after a night out with the boys. I always do this. I go to bed and wake up to find he's not back when he says he'll be back and then I get worked up. Cant seem to just sleep through it.
Feel like i'm been overwhelmed at the moment. So much cr@p to deal with and I am in pain with my back and cant do the cleaning properly so have to sit around a dirty house. Wish DH would help but MEN! you would think with TWINS he would remember but no he gets up on the weekends and surfs the web, watches Rage and plays the guitar as I run around doing the washing. Otherwise I've got nothing to wear for work on Monday.
I dont know why i'm feeling so miserable given I've just seen my babies. I should be happy but i just dont have time to think about what I saw.
By the way everyone - we are having twin girls.
I'm sure the photos will go well Gigi. She's so photogenic!
-
 ann. don't be too hard on yourself hun. your growing two bambinos - growing one is hard work - growing two must be like running a double marathon back to back!!! Could you get a cleaner in once a week to ease the load? I think you more then deserve it!! I think you should do something nice just for YOU! and congratulations on twin girls - are they identical?
Gigi - great that you got a night out even if the movie was poo. what time did bilby wake up in the end? look forward to seeing the photos. I'm sure they will be fantastic. Like ann said - bilby is a very photogenic!
Christy - I have been thinking about you heaps hun, and meaning to call. the last three weeks in my house have been rather chaotic, and the first time that I have a moment to call its usually 9pm!! which is a tad too late to call I think. Did you get the books in the post? It was such good news to read about your mum hun - one less thing on your plate to worry about! which at the moment probably doesnt feel any less burdened. :comfort:
Tara - how's Chino going? and Miss Evie? yay on the new hair do. makes you feel great doesnt it? I desperately need to get to the hairdresser, and hopefully will do so next week now that all my visitors have gone!
Jols- how is sophie going in her big girls bed? I keep thinking about the fact that we need to seriously consider gettng a big bed for Aston...I think we will just go on considering it at this stage - i'm not ready to do it. I think its because it is the last "thing" that signifies babyhood for me. i guess there is a little bit of grief on my part involved.
Blanche - where are you? hope everything is going ok in your world hun, and that you are just busy being a mum to two gorgeous kids. I love seeing new photos on face book. Jack is as delightful as Emelia. She looks soooooo grown up now!!
Kim - you have lots happening in the next few months - first Jasmines birthday, then chelsea turns two, then you get to meet your little man! How the closing up of beyond belly going? did you have a good time in NSW?
Nelly - how goes the countdown to hong kong? I bet you feeling excited and apprehensive. Cant wiat to catch up again after you get back. Tell Darren that we are coming to your place for the BBQ this time. BTW Laura wants to know if you are going to be at the get together on Sunday - She is only happy about going if you or Gil are going to be there!
I don't think I've missed anyone - if I have big hugs!
What has been going on my world?? too much! The visitors leave this afternoon - well two of them do, the other two leave tomorrow morning. Then I get my house back!! It hasn't been all bad - it is just me. I don't do well after a while with lots of others in my home. MIL I've discovered is very opinionated, and constantly has something to say about how things are done - and consequently it triggers a whole lot of stuff up for me in regards to my xMil! This one isn't quite as bad as the xMIL, but I dont like feeling like a visitor in my own home. Its been interesting, in that I have had to work through some stuff for myself, and change the perspective - if she wants to run around doing stuff in my house, instead of feeling affonted by it, I have tried to sit back and enjoy the break from the responsibility of doing it. I think when you have been looking after yourself from an early age, when someone starts telling you how to do it, it sparks of a myriad of emotions - that have had more to do with history then the present. Having all these people in the house has been very taxing on my relationship with DH. I could honestly quite happily tell him to P!ss off at the moment. Things had already been very strained with him, as a result of his stupid shoulder (YES, I am a tad over it!) and his complete inability to move forward through it. Sometimes I feel like I have FOUR kids! Sometimes I think it would be easier to be a single mummy again! I really don't like DH at the moment. in fact I have given him an ultimatum that he come to counselling with me or he can f@ck off.... I'm getting too old, and life is too short to have to constantly deal with someone elses cr@p and be on the receiving end of their unhappiness. If he was actively doing something to move forward - i'd be all there to support him, but being a cranky pr!ck constantly is doing my head in!!!!!
On a positive - I am really enjoying my Learning Ladder business. I love the books so much, that they tend to sell themselves. Plus my family is benefiting from having them in the house. I have gotten lots of "freebies" and a little moeny to boot. (well what's left over after buying more books lol) I think the best part is meeting lots of new people, and being able to help them choose things for their kids. I am intending to go back to uni next year fulltime - which makes me feel both excited and apprehensive but I really want to finish my degree and start teaching.
I guess that's about it for the moment - this is already too long winded. Hope you are all happy and healthy. :grouphug:

Hellllloooooo.... is anybody out there?????
-
yep - our daycare center was arsoned last night trying to find new care... not sure if the builing will be rebuilt let alone re-opened. Just what I need when we leave on wednessday

wow thats a mammoth post Vicky! phew!!
Oh, I saw it on the news Nelly, and thought of you...that is so sad, hope you find another centre :(
Twin girls Ann! Crazy! DH is going to be feeling a little outnumbered i'm sure!!
We're going well here. Got our dog yesterday, so thats great. its a greyhound and he's just beautiful, fantastic with the kids. will try and get pics on facebook soon
i've been a bit up and down lately - my hormones seem to be quite messed up from master chino, so just trying to take one day at a time to get back to being my positive self.
DH's mum had surgery for cancer today, apparently it all went well. she just needs radiation every day for 6 weeks, and then hopefully that will be the end of that little saga.
anyways, best go off to bed while both kids are asleep
ciao bellas
-
wow, CHino is two months old!
hope your MIL's surgery went well Taralee.
i feel like cracking a bottle of champers - bilbs ate her FIRST real lunch today!!! SHe actually ate what the CCC chef made for all the children, chicken mince with vegies - SHE ATE NORMAL FOOD!!!! it's the first day she hasn't had the pureed veg/fruit in the tube that i send (out of desperation) as she always refuses to eat what the other children are all having. AND she ate a strawberry! Finally, something OTHER than tubes of pureed stuff!!
alas, she did not repeat the trend when we got home (for tea), but at least she did it ONE TIME. I tried to feed her tea from 5pm to 6.20pm. i think i offered her six different things. SHe kept whining and going er er pointing at the fridge - so i took that to mean she WAS hungry. Sigh. all she ate in 1hr 20mins, was some yogurt. I was all primed to try out the NoCry Sleep book techniques tonight (early tea, early bath, early bedtime) but the 1hour 20 mins of tea attempts threw that out of possibility. DH walked in a 6.21pm and i just said "she's all yours". :wall:
Christy just posted in the MCN thread that's she's in Sydney tonight (househunting) and missing her DD's like crazy.
Vicky - massive props on your post hon - you rock!
Nelly - GL trying to find a new DC - i'm glad Jake wasn't there when the place went up - if it was on hte news, i haven't seen the news for ages (too busy trying to get bilby to eat to watch news!! no, make that, too stressed out trying to get bilby to eat to watch/concentrate on news - plus i have tv off so she can focus on the food.
-

Happy birthday Jols. I hope that you got spoilt - even if you did have a yuk tummy bug. The last two birthdays for me I have been sick on them - I swear I had better have a good one this one coming up!
I'm so flat - just completely empty. Think its the last 3 weeks taking its toll on me. going to find a hole, and crawl into it.
-
Yay for Bilbs eating, Gigi!!! Maybe you could just try offering 2 different things and she might work out that if she doesnt eat what you offer or the alternative then thats it....she could be playing a bit of a game with you...do you know what i mean? but at least you now know that she CAN eat normal food if she WANTS to! maybe it was also because other kids were eating and she didnt want to feel left out?
Happy Birthday Jols..sorry belated :( hope you had a great day!
The dog's name is Darcy, his race name was rylee's revenge and was apparently a big winner! we get him going around the outside of the house...man, he's quick and it's quite scary! i'm his fave apparently lol he's a big sook!

Hi ladies....ive decided ive now calmed down and im over my tanty....but PLEASE...if you have a problem with anything i say....please send me a PM and discuss it with me. I will be watching every word i say from now on so i dont get misinterpreted.
If your willing to have me back..id like to re-join you all?
Just a lil update....im off to NSW tonight for Jasmines Birthday party on Saturday....i cant believe she is 1 on Sunday!!
No personals im afraid....ill have to get back into the swing of things and catch up on whats been happening.
Take care and ill be back Monday evening :D
-
 Kim I'm glad you are back. Of course we will have you. How did Jasmine's party go? Or has it happened yet?
Tara... now you have a dog, maybe get into a training thing for him, and that way you will get out more and meet people from around the area, get stimulated & maybe inspired? I loved taking our dogs to dog training before I did it for a living lol.... now not so much ;) I can help you find options in your area. Otherwise, is there a craft you always wanted to do? I love pottery, and am going to take up a pottery course next year. Also I do want to learn how to sew properly... but not as much as I want to play with clay.
My motto for the next few weeks is...Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming...
-
Christy the party is this Saturday...we leave for NSW tonight....just feeding the girls then heading off for the 10-12 hour drive!!
