I have a zinc & castor oil cream that is just that nothing else. Or I have a paw paw ointment I use. I like the zinc and castor oil for the more severe nappy rashs (which Jovie gets heaps of with her intolerances to food) and the paw paw for the little rashes.

Argghh.... Chels is refusing to drink her bottle.... she opens her mouth, tastes milk then spits it out.... or does drink it then vomits it back up..... ive copped most of the 50mls ive managed to get into her. Called mum and she said try smaller bottles or feeding her milk on a spoon.... neither work...

She refuses water....she isnt dehydrated...has wet nappies still and someone said make sure her lips and mouth are moist which they are.

    Wat else can i try????

oh Kim, can you dilute it? Try different temperatures... Other than that I would phone the MCHN's or health line in Victoria. I phoned them with questions like that before. Sometimes they help sometimes they don't.

I know when Matilda was 9months she had gastro and I found that really hard to deal with. The only thing I could get into her mouth was diluted milk.... *hugs*

!!!!!!! i really think it's her teeth, but not sure if to give her panadol?, i going to hairdressers in 1.5 hrs so not sure how dh will cope!!!

Kim - :hugs: its overwhelming especially if you're not sleeping well. Can you or DH have a frank conversation with your mum?

Ella rejects the bottle too kim. Let me know if you find something that works - i'll be keen to try it on miss fussy.

For nappy rash we use Sudocream.

Just had 6 mums over for mothers group. Was great. All relaxed but all the babies seem to be going through sleep issues. Good to know we're not alone.

Aww Kim, i'm so sorry you're having such a rough trot. but you know how that saying goes..rainbows after the rain and such. just hang in there, it'll all work out:hugs:

I used a zinc and castor oil cream when evie had a rash and it didnt work so i slap on a pound of pawpaw and it works so well everytime

evie was up on all fours today! so clever and she looks at me like she's so proud of herself. AND she put herself to sleep twice today!!! so happy! (for her other naps we werent at home and she needed rocking so they dont count!)

BTW AJP, i think if sophie;s awake for so long and it's her teeth bothering her then give some panadol. she's only going to feel worse having to deal with teeth AND being tired. panadol's not so bad if you dont use it all the time or as a matter of course
