There are many issues that you will encounter as a new parent. We have put together this list of useful articles and threads in order to assist you with some common questions or issues you may have, and to provide you with bit of extra support that we all need as new parents:
Please contact the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) or a Lactation Consultant if you are concerned that you may have breastfeeding and/or supply problems, and before the introduction of solids.
Now I have to sit paitently and wait for my other belly buddies to start posting in here. Hopefully I can post in here as well with you all since Ashton was meant to be born in November
LMAO seeing as the last scan measured her 2 weeks earlier!!! I would be 3 weeks overdue if we went by those dates! Thank goodness I kept to the last date, otherwise I would be insane...
Hi Kathryn, i can now join you inthis thread so you wont be lonely anymore!! i had sophie mae on 1/11/06 so just made it into november babies thread, was due 7/11/06.
Yeah it seems weird that we should be giving birth this week hey Marion. We are not doing anything for Ashton's "due date" we never did for the other two boys either. Now a couple of years on I forget that it was the date they were supposed to be born. Although Kam's is a bit hard to forget as it is my step-dad's birthday LOL. Even then I just had to work out the date that Lachlan was due.
Lets hope we have a few new arrivals by the end of the week
Well Isla is settling in well. Her first night home wasn't too bad. Her 2nd was even better. But I hope she doesn't make it a regular thing to feed for an hour or so at 2 am every morning!
My milk came in yesterday & boy was I sore. But I sat i the shower till the hot water run out & just let my breast drip & then when I got out I sat on the edge of the bed for a bit longer while they soaked a towel. Still pretty hard this morning but not as painful.
Well at least someone used your due date Kathryn lol
Glad things are going well FJ and hope that overnight feed is quicker for you soon
Well Cooper is 2wks old today, cant believe it really
He has been crappy overnight really cause he sleeps all day, so its expected, but i stay up till around midnight and DH deals with all once i go to bed, he goes to bed really early so at least he gets a good block of sleep in before waking, if he could just wake at 4am instead of 3am it would be better, but ah well what can you do
Was so annoyed this morning, Cooper was asleep and Mason decided of all mornings to throw a massive tantrum and scream the place down, i threw him back in cot and went back to bed myself, so wasnt dealing with that first thing, got him back up when he settled himself back down, if he hadnt of carried on i would of got a sleep in!
Hi everyone!
I thought i'd pop in and join you all
Macauley is still in hospital because he is losing weight, so he is being breastfed and then being topped up with EBM too to try and fatten him up a bit
Hopefully he will be able to come home next week
Well, i'd better get back to the hospital now, his lunch is due soon
Hopefully he stacks it on for you soon Naomi. How are you feeling after the c-sect ??
I would have been doing that with Ashton as well with going back in to feed him etc as he was nearly re-admitted to hospital a few times upon coming home, but he turned the corner as they were going to make their final decision *phew*
Feel free to join the NICU/SCN/Prem babies thread as well.
Fiona - good to hear the boobs are settling down fo you.
