I had a look on the internet to see if I could find something to help you. Not sure if you have tried before but came across this bit of info. Hope it helps.

Going to bed problems - advice to help get your toddler to bed at night - Kidspot Australia

Do you close her bedroom door? I always keep my DD"s bedroom door open so they know we are up even when we go to bed I keep it open. I have done this with all my kids and it makes them feel closer to you IYKWIM. I know the running out of the room with the door open is a PITA but this website had something on that too. hugs

I tired to post last night & lost the lot, twice. I had done a massive post with lots of personals. Darn it. I don't have time to repeat it.......

CSAB - Good luck for today. I'm sure everything will be fine. V has proven she will beat all odds. Give her a big cuddle for us. Yep, BJ screeeaaamed the whole way back on the plane too. We have vowed to never fly again! It was awful. He refused the BB & wouldn't take a dummy, not even my finger.

I had a feral child yesterday. He screamed for 20 mins during yoga. And I mean screeeaamed. Then he fell asleep so I could finish the class. It seems like such a waste of time for me to go. I'm gonna keep trying though. He might surprise me one day.

KURAIZA Jude is adorable. He was very well behaved. Maybe next week we can swap babies?

Georgi: I can't swap him at the moment, he's been showering me with love but he's not always well behaved. The first yoga class I went to was a nightmare, he screamed the entire time (not cry, scream). Do you have a relative you could bring along to play with Byron while you do yoga? I saw someone had their mother outside looking after their bub last week. Byron was lovely when he was meeting me and Jude, with those big blue eyes and his cute polo suit (where on earth did you get that?).

PP: Get rid of the TV in your room, maybe she won't be so tempted to stay up with you.

    Belfie: Hilarious photo!

I don't have any fleece covers yet because I was told they get compression leaks until baby starts moving more in bed, but I haven't had any trouble with PUL.

Jude was just sooooooooooooo incredibly sweet. He was lying on his back and I leaned over him and he started playing with my face, like he was trying to get to know me better. He kept grabbing my nose, eyes and my lips and giggling at me. Yesterday he was having a bath with my husband and I walked in to see if they were done and needed me to lift Jude out, and Jude reached out for me with such big arms that he nearly fell off my husband's lap. He did that twice. Ohhh it was so beautiful. He's just been loving me so much lately.

I'm very happy that we're this close because I've been torn apart by his breast refusal, I really wanted to breast feed him for at least a year and now at 4 months it's almost over. Last night he slept from 6pm until 4.15am and my breasts were not very hard. Just last week if the same thing had happened my boobs would have leaked. The night feeds were my last chance for breastfeeding, but my milk supply is almost all gone.

PP - lots of things you have posted about DD I have said - yeah like my DD at that age - so guess what - aorund 18 months my DD's sleep was shocking - after a few weeks I just absolutely caved and let her fall asleep on her little couch in the loungeroom with us - time poor, hubby travelling, Riley still had to get his sleep - and so did I - it was much quicker than the 2 - 3 hours of getting her into her bed. She would cry/scream until she vomited - all well and good for Tweedle/MCHN/Tresillian to tell me to just clean it up quietly without too much attention and start again - pi$$ off - I want a life too. Anyway its not a solution, was interim plan - but having said that it has only been since Christmas we have demanded she go to her own bed cos she is starting big preschool this year hehehehe, and it was easy - she goes every night no arguments etc - and now I wonder why we worried so much about her falling asleep inthe loungeroom - its a social thing - everyone is first to tell you what not to do - but they aren't there trying to deal with it!

Anyway, probably nothing in there to help you cos it sounds like you are doing all the right things and it is just her. Do whatever you and DH are comfortable with.

My DD started preschool this morning, gotta pick her up soon - only 3 hrs today - she was fine!!! Zander was up alot last night and had two feeds - i thik first one cos lazy DH wouldnt settle him and he smelt me and just wanted comfort - but he is off today too with a lot of crying - sounds snotty but not runny nose - and it is COLD here today too - who knows hey - red cheeks but doubt he is teething - just try and get through the day BUT I have to pick G up at 12 - then R at 3pmish, then G has calisthenics at 4.15 - 5.45 which R has to come to - thank good ness spag bol already in the slow cooker and washing on the line

    Gotta go!

he sleeps in a night nappy with a fleece cover, he can out wee his NN but it NEVER soaks through the fleece/minky covers.
i did have BBH PUL covers but as i said he sweats heaps..so ended up with a rash BIG time....i have since gotten rid of the PUL covers.

PP - Hang in there hun, you really are doing a wonderful job, and as Sami just letting her sit in the lounge room until she falls asleep is something we did at times too. It is amazing how quickly they fall asleep watching telly. Actually its amazing how quickly I fall asleep watching telly after a longggggggg day.

Georgi - Thanks hun, I will give V some hugs from you and BJ, she just loves her cuddles. Hope BJ settles for you at Yoga next time.

Katones - Sorry hun, I missed your post, I still dont know how I did tho. Thankyou too, how is Jack going?

Kuraiza - You did really well getting to 4mths unlike me only getting to 3 and my milk didnt even leak. I guess it goes to show you how cr@p my BM was. With all my others my milk was really good, except for DD4 my milk never really came in properly, if anything it seemed worse than V's. Pretty sad considering my milk was always really creamy.

Sami - I hope Z feels better soon. It doesnt help with the weather changing from hot one minute to cold the next. hugs

Anyway time to go and get V ready. HUgs all

KURAIZA His jumpsuit is Ralph Lauren, from Harbourtown. He grows out of his clothes so quickly so I try to put that on him as often as possible to make the most of it. It's so cute. Yeah that was Emm's mum the other week. She is here on holis from the UK, that's why she came along. Odhran tends to be a screamer in Yoga too. I don't have anyone to bring along as I don't have many relatives here on the Gold Coast. Next time DH is on afternoon shift, I will leave him at home like Moana leaves Grace. I just realised I may not be going next week. DH has the week off work so we might be going away for a few days. I bet Jude is just making you heart melt. It's the best feeling to get their love. I'm glad he's LOVIN you.

    thanks csab will look soon.
We close the door when she goes to bed initially otherwise she will be up until 10pm (even if we are laying inbed with the lights off) running around like a crazy woman.
Once she is alseep we open the door so she can come to us in the morning.
