She's put on weight!!!300 grams. So.. she's finally 6kgs!!!! I thought she was never gonna be 6 kgs. I am so happy and relieved!!! I don't know what'll happen now in terms of her weight. Maybe she'll now stay 6kgs for months and months. But gee I am just happy that she had a good weight gain finally and that she's no longer in the 5 kgs range! I just hope she continues to do well.
On the flipside she has not been sleeping well at all. She's now getting about 2 to 3 hours during the day.I'm not sure if it's teeth or because I keep having a million things on each day at the moment. So she's being dragged around and missing out on lots of her nap time. She's also not sleeping well at night.. waking 2 or more times.
Sami -Oh I so know how you feel hun! I've felt like such a failure for such a long time now re: Maya's weight. I am having a hard time getting Maya to eat from a spoon now too. I don't think you can force them! I mean she clamps down her mouth super tight! How I am supposed to get a spoon past that! Was the MCHN saying that BLS isn't a good thing to do? I also went to my MCHC this morning and I really don't like my new local centre. The nurse made me feel crappy too telling me that I need to get more iron into her quick smart and that babies that lose so much weight can end up being developmentally slow. She was telling me that I should be feeding her more and that I should have been feeding more when she was losing all that weight. Anyway, both Z and M are happy and healthy - what more can we ask for?
