**** I think i love Infacol! Gave X some with his feed at 5pm... he's still asleep! It's the first decent non-unsettled day sleep he's had in ages!! WOO HOOO! AND we went to a friend's place and they cooked us dinner... and he slept... ah bliss! The last 5 hours made up for the whole week. Now do I go to bed or see if he wakes...??? Hmm such a pleasant dilemma.

As for the MIL's, wow it sounds like we've all got doozies, makes me feel much better (safety/comfort in numbers!).

Kuraiza - you crack me up with that comment re Amy's MIL

amy_o - that poo sounds impressive!! Mebbe she has hollow legs?

hollye - one of my probs with X and BF'ing was always the start of the feed - he was too hungry & frustrated and impossible to attach, so we'd often do 40ml EBM THEN get him on. So if I do it, I'm better off doing it half way through (mebbe after our nappy change - there's a thought)... I might try it tomorrow, now he's sane & not windy again I'm feeling more mentally able. Plus I think he's been getting wind cos he's such a guts. He took 130ml in 10 mins at his last feed that's quick.

Belfie~~ Hollow legs, thats the answer I am sure of it, OMG it was incredible!! I can understand your love for infacol for us it is Marina, oh boy I love that stuff, never ever not have a spare bottle in the house just in case. Would need to delcare a national emergancy should my local pharmacy run out/decide not to stock it (would never happen though the amount of money I spend there for my bipolar meds they know me by name!!Given the amount I spend I should own a portion by now! They all followed the pregnancy week by week and I know the pharmastist by name, David would not do that too me!! LOL)

Well I have done nothing but blow my nose ALL DAY, yup I have a cold. Taking the tablets...DH banished me to the spare room so he and Bethany are spared. His logic was if he got up to her at least he got sleep in between feeds but sleeping with me would have meant hearing me sneeze, blow my nose and cough all night. I think that is a loving remark. Tried to keep my whinging to a minimum but still managed to tell DH I was sure I was dying at least 5 times an hour. If my nose would stop runny for 5 mins I would be fine.

Well the little one is asleep, I am heading to bed too, talk to you tomorrow ladies, sleep well all the mummas and bubbas! mwah!!! (from a distance as not to spread germs)

Hi girls.. I still stalk the thread, just don't post alot. I read each & every post.

We had Byron's 6 week (corrected age) check up on Thursday & the paed says he's so impressed with Byron's progress that he won't need to see him again He normally see's the premmies at 6 then 12 months but he has no concerns about Byron at all. That was so good to hear.

I went in with a list of questions & was so re assuring to get the answers. I thought he had reflux but the paed said it was cause of my fire hose of BB's & that if I lay back whilst feeding it should help. Low & behold it has. Byron now feeds for 20 - 30 mins instead of 10min & he doesn't projectile vomit anymore. He also said that bf babies can go weeks without pooing & it's no concern.

I also asked about wind/gas pains. Apparently it gets worse at 6 weeks, then will get better between 8 & 10 weeks. He said I could give 2mls of Mylanta before a feed for the next couple of weeks to get us through it.

Byron has started sleeping right through the night. From 8.30pm to 5.00am, but he doesn't sleep as much during the day. He is still very unsettled at dinner time, but we're learning how to deal with it.

He is still getting his play/aerobics & I am starting to see the benefits to it. He can now roll from his tummy to his back. It's so cute to see. Plus his neck control is fantastic. His flexibility has improved so much too.

BELFIE - My sister fed 2 of her babies by expressing and giving it in a bottle. She fed her first for 5 months that way, & the 2nd for 4 months. There's nothing wrong with that at all. You're still giving your little guy the best possible nutrition

RE: Infacol. I use it too & find it very effective.

RE: MIL's. I have a great one. Sorry, can't complain about anything there.

    Have a great day!

just a quicky - georgi. i have the water feature problem too. lmao.
What i do when i get let down i take him off, wait until is has stopped squirting (into a breastpad) then reattach. He gets ancy that he is off but it is really on about 20 secs and he feeds more content not having milk squirting down his throat!

    be back soon for personals

    *hugs*

Georgi: It's funny that Byron's corrected birth age is so young. He was due 2 days after Jude was due, but Jude came 6 days early so I keep thinking Byron's corrected birth age should be about the same as Jude's age, but it's not and I get confused.

Belfie: I just calls it as I sees it.

Hollye: Did your MIL actually say "oh hes my boy and if i told him to break up with u, he would" or did she just behave like that? MILs are just a nightmare.

When my MIL was visiting she took lots of photos of Jude with my husband but very few of me in any photos, except a few with my back to the camera. Whatever, I just pretend she doesn't exist. She's such a small part of my life. Thank God she lives in the USA

Jude's a catnapper and I'm starting to just accept it. Getting him to sleep in the day time is impossible and a heart-breaking task to attempt. I also believe he's going through the 6-week change, which according to Baby Love lasts 2 - 3 weeks, so hopefully it will get better soon *fingers crossed*. I still don't know how I'm supposed to get anything done, but as he gets older he'll learn to entertain himself and my life will get a little easier.

Kuraiza~~ you are coping great, keep it up!

Well I have to face it, time to leave for the afternoon at the in laws... I keep telling myself it will probably be better than I am thinking...right??Although my cold is much better I would rather just hang at home KWIM? Oh well. Bethany is still asleep so there is a good chance she will be awake for a bit when we are there so she can take all the photos she wants.... I think I have my cranky pants on that was a bit sarcastic wasn't it! LOL See ya when we return....
