Sami H - Well ethan has had 2 good nights - woke at 4am but i resettled with his dummy. it has worked so far then he wakes for a morning feed between 5-6. i will continue doing this i think (no change or feed).. and see if i can get him to sleep through completely . Have you tried this?? i mean i am still up for 1/2 hr but i am hoping to slowly get him out of the habit of waking for a feed.
I am too gutless yet - I will give him until the new year then get tough - yeah right!!! Last week he did wake at 12.30am once and I said no WAY is he having a feed, so tried a dummy, and then he woke again at 3 so I was ok with that. Do you go back to bed if Ethan feeds at 5 - 6ish? Unfortunately for me that is a worse time (yeah, sounds dumb I know) cos I am just drifting back to sleep when the other two get up and have to get up anyway for school etc. So a 4am feed is fine cos I can still get at least another hour zzzzzz time in ..... does your DD need much during the night?

Amandaj - yep I agree I think I have been lucky this time around - my DD whilst gorgeous was a mine field of stress from her feeding, happy chucking, crap sleeping - so I think he has been sent to me to make up for her Lucky she is so cute ....

amy - i have a friend who is on leave until the end of Jan and she has a pool, so when hot I am planning on camping at her house during the week! I can't wait to take Zander into the water and see what he thinks about it all ....

Oh,, and if i don't get to have a shower in the morning - which does occasionally happen even 3rd time around, I slap on some make-up and try to hold my head up at the shops so nobody notices - oh, and clean clothes helps too .....

We have a local community chrisstmas thingy on here at 4.30 - twilight jumping castle, santa, animals etc - but it is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo windy here I don't know whether if it is worthwhile. We went to local club wih friends for lunch and the walk is about 300m but past an open paddock - poor Zander likely to have a bit of wind with all the air-gulping he did - and he still didn't cry - what a little trooper!!
