By george I think we got it =D>
6 1/2 HRS sleep last night. 9pm till 3.30am
He only fed one side at 3.30am so when he woke again at 7am I was relieved as I was engorged and sore. Jordan didnt want to go back to sleep after that though so my day started quite early.
Krisvee - Sorry to hear Louis had a bad night but 1 everynow and then isnt to bad I guess.
I am planning on giving Jordan a formula bottle this afternoon so I can express a bottle for my return to work. I want to have 6 bottles in the freezer at the one time. I only have 2 at the moment so will spread some formula feeds over the next week and a half.
Hope you are all enjoying the day and for all the melbournians, hope you are getting ready for the hot weather, we have some hot days a coming.
Yep - It certainly is going to get hot - I just got back from a walk which was hot enough so I've had the air conditioner cranking today! I hope it can handle the weather to come!
Good idea with the formula. I'm desperately trying to express because we're going out Friday night to see Billy Connelly - so I need two bottles. How much do you have in one bottle for a feed??
So far I've got about 260ml but I really wanted to h ave 400ml just in case. I don't think it would be odd to think Louis could drink 200ml but I'm just now sure whether they drink that much at night.....The bad thing is sometimes I'm only getting 10ml out at a time - grrrr. I suppose it's a good thing to do as it may boost my supply also...
That is great news Tracey - just a sign of things to come I am sure.
Went and had Eden's ultrasound today and it was great news!!! =D> She only has to have it on for another two weeks then I can take the harness off. In between this time I am allowed to take it off every second day for a bath. So, guess what I did when we got home - A BATH!!!!! I put Eden in the water and she laughed!!!!!! SHe stretched out her legs and had the most puzzled look on her face - it was gorgeous!! We got it on video - such a priceless reaction! I am really relieved that it was such good news. \/ \/ \/ \/
Kristee - the times thatI have given Eden EBM, she has only taken 100ml, but she is little. I think that by putting 200 ml in each bottle you will be more than safe. Has Louis had formula before?? If not then try him before you go out on another day just to make sure he takes it and doesn't have any reactions. Yay for going to see Billy C - hope you have been exercising your pelvic floor muscles!!!!
ohhh that is excellent news kazzy, you must be so happy and i bet eden just loved stretching her legs out,and a bath that must have been heaven for her.wow i feel so happy for you both right now.
nikki
Kazzy - YAYWhat great news, I am so happy for you both!!! I am sure the two weeks will absolutely fly by. :happy4u:
Tracey - congrats on the sleep, i'm sure they will only keep getting longer from now on
We have had nothing but rain for 4 days and so my house looks like a chinese laundry, i have clothes hanging everywhere - no dryer ](*,) Today it is wet and cold which is frustrating as we are pretty much confined to the house. Molly is pretty mobile now she can scoot around the floor on her bum with her brace on and she loves the freedom
Will had another ultrasound yesterday and his hips are fine, the specialist thinks that his hip maybe corrected itself over time so hopefully that is the end of that
Did everyone get the email from Kelly about saving space in these forums? I think we should all stop using emoticons - I know they're cute and I've been known to add heaps into my postings, but I guess we can live without them if it makes it easier for BellyBelly to keep operating as we love it!
Kazzy - we got our baby bonus in the bank about 10 days after submitting form. That was just before Christmas so I don't know if that's the usual length or if they were busy... Great news about Eden!
It's stinking hot here today (37) and is just going to get worse... Sat 38 and Sun 39. Our air con is working overtime and the house is still 29 degrees. Yuk! I wanted to go shoe shopping today (I have an interview on Monday for very part-time work) but it's simply too hot to drag poor Dylan around so we're staying in.
Dylan has now nearly doubled his birth weight -he's 7.06 kg and 64.5 cm long.
it took about 2 weeks for our baby bonus to come through and it was just before xmas also.it is going to be 41 degrees here on sunday.
i have just sold some of chantelles new born clothes and products on ebay and so far the auctions are up to $220.00 wow not bad for something i dont need any longer.
nikki
Wow Nikki - that's great! I've sold lots of stuff on ebay in the past and often make a nice profit!
They've ammended the weekends forcast for here also and are saying at least 41 for Sat and 40 for Sun. Lovely!
Has anyone been to a Babes in Arms session at the cinema? My mum is coming over for the weekend and there's a film we both want to see, and we thought it would be nice and cool in there! I guess as long as we have a bottle for Dylan and a wrap he should be fine...
WELL IM WIDE AWAKE!!!!!!!!
we have just had a big thunder and lightning storm and my bed has 3 children and a dh in it.looks like the couch for me.
LOL!!!!!
nikki
Nikki - Was it a bad storm? We've had a few here, and Benjamin doesn't seem to mind them. He jumps when there is a big thunder clap but so do I.
I have to hang on to all Benjamin's clothes, because we don't know what we'll be having next time around. Most of the clothes were hand-me-downs anyhow.
Is it true that, with each child you have, they get bigger?
Kazzy - We were told 3 weeks up here to wait for the baby bonus, but it was here in 2 weeks.
Gee the storm last night was fantastic. I was up feeding at 2.30am when it started and the light show was great. I didnt need any lights on as the lightening kept lighting up the loungeroom.
Kazzy - I bet the time flies until Eden can take the harness off. I bet you will be glad to see the arse end of that. It would have all been worth it though
Melissa - We are also holding onto Jordans clothes. At the moment DH doesnt think he wants anymore children but I am going to try and see if he changes his mind when Jordan is about 1. I would love to have alteast 2 children.
How many are you planning on having?
Nikki - Yeah on the ebay auction. What a great way to get some extra dosh.
Dee73- I was thining of going to the movies where you can take bubs however last night I just left him with DH and went with a girlfriend.
We saw, Just like heaven, I cried, it was a gorgeous film.
QUESTION - Jordan is the youngest here and currently I am still feeding him every 4 hrs during the day. He is never really screaming with hunger when I am feeding him so should i be extending his feeds out now? I extended his morning feed out to 5 hrs this morning, so I fed him at 2.30am and then 7.30am He wasnt cring for it but I could tell he was getting hungry.
Jordan is now boardering 9 kilos  He is not even 3 months old and everyone is commenting on how large he is. I am only feeding him breastmilk so I dont know what I could do diff to stop this dramatic weight gain. I dont want him to end up a really chubby kid.
Tracey - I think 2 is ideal, and that's all DH wants. Afterall, if more come along the way, I'm sure we'll manage.
In regards to Jordan's weight gain, I have been told that they'll probably lose a bit when they are up and running around. Benjamin is getting to be a little heayweight too. Don't know where the weight is though, I think he's heavy boned like me.
with me Jess was 200gms bigger than Kat and that was even tho I watched what I ate during pgcy. With Kat I studpidly thought if u have a craving you should satisfy it and I ate all the time. With Jess I was strictly watching my diet and only put on 5kgs the whole pgcy yet Jess was bigger. Go figure! Good news that Eden is out of her cast soon and can have time to relax in the bath without it. Must be a huge change to the poor girl. No wonder she looked puzzled!!
Kell, I'm glad Will doesn't need a cast. Jess has been going around 6hrs between feeds now and is sleeping thru at night now too so YAY!!! She's slimming down now too which is good. She was such a rolly polly!! But we're not worried. ANyway, she's awake and will wanna be fed, must run!
Love and hugs to all!!
