hi all

have been MIA coz this little hurricane has been keeping me busy. wowsers.

so, the sleep disturbance was fair enough, kiddo pushed through TWO teeth at once. Drool and poo central (just like all the books say). he's almost back to sleeping through again (9.30-3.30) last night.

he loves vocalising to the radio at the moment - if it's a rock song he will just yell in a moderately melodic fashion. the lady singers get squeals. mum said i did that too.

in other news... eating heaps, climbing on everything, practising the one-hand walking round his playpen.

i read no-cry sleep solution but j sorted his kit before i really needed to do anything new. thing is, lots of it i was trying already. the lovey has helped (wear it down my top for a bit when i remember).

rebecca - cold hands aren't so much of a drama, it's only when their core gets cold. jj had cold hands in summer and the doc said it's no big deal, in fact they can cool themselves via arms and hands. if they're blue and icey, different story. feel the tum, if that's toasty, it's no drama.

julia - your express thing should be there today. dh took it to work and didn't mail it until thursday!!!
also, if taking him to bed is all that's working, then that's what you do for now. the no-cry sleep woman had a baby co-sleeping and waking HOURLY to nurse... fark! reading it made me realise that j is totally normal with his waking patterns.

with j, if he needs resettling at night, i take him back as close to sleep as i can before i put him down, either boob or bouncing on the fitball with dummy. they are way more needy waiting for teeth to pop through so i wouldn't despair just yet. i thought my good sleeper was gone forever but it seems he's back now that the fangs have popped.

he's covered in porridge so i'd better go...
