Wow, thanks Christine, I've never had a new thread for my birthday before!

Thanks heaps Amber! You're so sweet to make the effort to post when you're so tired .

DH is currently cooking us bacon and eggs for brekky, mmmm....My boys bought me a pair of Colorado shoes and a book. All picked out by me so no surprises, but at least I got exactly what I wanted! MIL came over last night and gave me some new PJ's (she has great taste in clothing), a cute jewelry box, a mug, some chocolate and flowers. I'm VERY spoilt! Tonight we're having a family dinner at my mum's house so it should be a nice day .

    Have a great weekend everyone!

    Morning all,

Happy Birthday Trish, hope you have a lovely day, sounds like you are being spoiled.

Bella has finally cut her two top teeth. She was grizzly at midnight which is very unusual for her, so I got up and put some gel on her gums and wow I felt a point. Still no signs of crawling yet but it will happen soon enough. My friend lent me her jolly jumper and she absolutely loves it.
Ok the kids are getting up now and need to get breakfast ready, hope everyone has a great day.

    Regards,
    Dianne

Hi everyone, long time no speakie!

Fell off the radar there for a month after we moved as we had no internet connection. I ended up sacking our provider and getting a new one.

Well we still haven't fully settled in, we only managed to get the house mostly decorated so still have the rest to do and subsequently there's same boxes everywhere but it's beginning to come together!

The children are doing great - Harry is 1 next month and is walkIng holding onto my hand, blowing kisses, waving and shaking his head for no. Very cute! Emily is just such a big girl! Has taken to wearing only fairy/princess costumes and refuses to go out without a fairy wand or tutu on!

    Hope you're all well x

Nic - that would be really scary to have N booked in immediately for surgery like that. But at least it's being attended to now while he is still young.
Dragon - L doesn't snore as such but is a heavy breather. He has been sick more or less since he started at daycare so I guess it is to be expected.
Celtic - I'm too old to have the guardisil shot. Did have a pap smear test today tho (sorry TMI). I remember you saying very early on that your DP wasn't very keen on spending time with Ryan. I think its hard for men in the early days. But as they grow and become more independent that's where Dads really come into their own. You'll probably find with the next baby that he's more confident around newborns as he's done it all before.
Claire - glad to hear that you're settling in. I would die if I didn't have the Net for even a day. How cute, fairy outfits. I suppose the boys will want to wear a super hero outfit or something soon enough. As long as its not a fairy outfit (not that there's anything wrong with that LOL).
Trish - I wish I was in Melbourne so I could go to the Mattel shop! Our house is like a F P showroom as it is.
Kaz - hopefully tonight will be better for you. That's one thing that scares me about having 2 kids. Its hard enough to manage one sometimes.
Tiff - I love watching L interact with his little friends. L's still at the stage where he's happy playing on his own or being close to me (which I love).

Think we are teething again. L's been rubbing at his ear. When we picked him up from daycare it was all red and looked like blood. They were very quick to reassure us it was paint. Sure enough it came off in the bath. L's got 8 teeth so I guess its probably molars now (is that right?).

Day off tomorrow so heading out to our State Library for their children's activity time.

    Have a good evening all.

    HI everyone
Sorry, I've been lurking a bit too, but thought I'd actually say Hi today!

Mo - weekend swimming lessons are hard to come by around us, they are all full! So we thought we'd start midweek and then maybe move to Saturday when a spot becomes available

Trish - congrats on your anniversary. Might have to take you up on the offer for the Mattel voucher!

Pish - I meant to ask, how did Tiera go in Fiji with the weather, flights etc? There is a possibility we will be going next year (YAY!) for a wedding and I wasnt sure how Tahlia would go?

Nickers - best of luck to Nixon for his surgery, I'm sure he will be fine. Will be thinking of you

    Julia - Welcome Back!

Not much new with us, Tahlia has been really miserable since about Monday, I'm wondering if there are some teeth on the way. She hasnt been interested in her solids at all, and is also less interested in b/f's? Does that sound normal for teething? I actualy woke up engorged this morning, and had to express a bit cause it hurt! That hasnt happened for a long time!

We are also starting to think about the birthday party. Have ordered some invitations, and I'm now thinking about the cake. I got one of the womens weekly party cake books for my baby shower, but they all look so hard! I really want to make it myself though

    Have a great day everyone!

Morning girls, we had a slightly better night last night. I think I am going to have to take my 2 year old to the doctors, something just doesnt seem right and she is getting hysterical for no reason. She is also chewing so hard on her dummies that she has split two in the past week, so I am wondering if there is something wrong with her teeth?

Anyway one other thing I wanted to ask, we are in Melbourne (Hampton Park) and I need to organise a cake for Tay. I got one for my husbands birthday a couple of weeks ago and it was ordinary, so has anyone got any suggestions of who does nice cakes around here? I wanted a sponge decorated. This is the hardest thing about being new to our area, I have no idea about where to get these things!

Tay's party plans are well under way I just cant believe my baby is one!
