Oh I missed the girl announcement ... congrats Mo. Two girls close together is nice most of the time! I hope mine grow up close.
All ok this end, had a few dramas myself. I had a weird period on the weekend and thought that I was pregnant, ended up taking a test tuesday night which come up positive. Went to the doctors to have it confirmed and he said that I had most probably miscarried and the reason my test was coming up positive was because in his words, I had a bit left over in there. Needless to say, by the time i got home a was a bit worked up. This wasnt my normal dr and he was so rude. He said that my bloodtest that i had on sunday showed a hcg of 14, low and not worth being concerned about. at 3am the next morning i woke with really bad cramping. i went to the hospital and they put an iv in each arm and put me on a drip, did another round of bloodtests and an ultrasound. they thought i had an eptopic and wanted to be prepared in case i started bleeding. the bloodtest come back and my hcg went to 41. still low, but either showing i was in early stage of pregnancy or eptopic. ultrasound showed no sign of a pregnancy but this would be the case if i was only a couple of weeks as i suspect. the scan showed i have a cyst on my right ovary though and its double the size of what it should be. i now have to have bloodtests every 48 hours till i hit a hcg of 2000 and have another ultrasound to see where this maybe pregnancy is? so i might be pregnant or not, it might be in the right spot or not. i have to be really careful and watch for symptons of the cyst rupturing which can be really serious. so i wont really know anything for 4 weeks or so. its awful. i wish i had never taken the pregnancy test, all 5 of them as i couldnt believe it. but then if i hadnt of i probably would have just thought my cramping was part of being a woman and not gone to the hospital where they found out i had a cyst.
anyway ... wanted to fill you in. i had a good cry yesterday but am ok today. i just want to talk about it. i think i want people to tell me its ok. that good old reassurance!
Kaz - that's really tough. Sending you sticky vibes. Try to rest and take it easy. Mo - I remember now! I do read these posts (honest).
Got L's Xmas present today - a swing/slide plastic thing. We've had it on raincheck since July and on Monday was told that they weren't getting anymore in. They offered a substitute and today we went in to pay for it and pick it up. As all the paperwork was in the orginal item, I had to explain what had happend. It was then that I was told that they had received a few of the original items yesterday. Went to parcel pick up to collect it and the box wouldn't fit in the boot. So had to unpack it all on the loading dock. Lucky we didn't get the substitute item as it was even bigger. Anyway, all worked out in the end.
Doh now your testing us...... mini.......lol.....i bet i go ahhhh thats it, when u tell me!!
yep white car pink strip down it!
Mo- i remember! yeah its great having them same sex so close together. exept i rekon Tyron is going to think he is the older brother real soon lol.
Kaz- that doctor sounds like a pig, i realy hope you are just in early stage of pregnancy and everything progresses along. I would have done the same thing and your right its better u did those tests or u prob wouldnt have thought it was anything else than your period. thats such a long time to wait for anything especially to confirm a pregnancy, hugs to you
Saffi at least you can blame it on pregnancy brain! Glad you got L's present i bet he will love it.
No need to be sorry Julia & is that a trick question?
I was only j/king yesterday i'm not going to take offence to people forgetting what gender Cookie is!
Hi everyone,
Kaz - I am sorry that you are going through this. Sending you lots of hugs. I hope everythig turns out alright for you. I think you did the right thing. It is better to know about the cyst than not know. Rest as much as you can and try not to stress. They say this can make a difference.
Well Ethan is being a whingy poo today. He is never clingy with me only with Daddy and today he is attached to my leg. I am hoping that he will have a nice big sleep so I can get some things done.
I think the ms is slowing down thank goodness. Still a bit sick but feel like I can do more than just lie on the couch.
Getting excited about chrissy. Can't wait to give Ethan his sandpit. We are moving in January so it wont have sand in it till we move but he will still love it. Don't have a go at me everyone but we haven't even put up our tree yet. Haven't had the energy. DH only works half a day tomorrow so we will put it up tomorrow arvo. But the down side is that it is one more thing to pack up when we already have so much packing to do.
Anyway, better put E to bed. Have a great Christmas everyone.
Hi girls, just a quick note to tell you that I had a miscarriage this morning. We arrived in Adelaide early hours of this morning and I had been cramping a bit in the car trip. Then when I got up this morning I had bled a bit. Nothing significant and its stopped, but because of my cyst I was told to go to hospital if anything like that happened. They did a blood test and my hcg levels had gone from 44 down to 6.4. I had a blood test on Sunday so things were fine then. The doctor said that something must not have been right and its just nature taking its course. I am feeling ok with it all, I have been upset but the thought of an eptopic and having an abortion is a worse outcome. I went to the doctors again tonight and he will do my hcg levels n saturday morning just to make sure its all over. Now I need to wait a couple of weeks and have an ultrasound as well, just to make sure I have nothing that can cause an infection and to make sure that I dont need to have a d'n'c.
Anyway, better go. Just wanted to let you know what was going on. THanks heaps for the thoughts you have expressed over the last few days!
Kim - Wow, 16 days but who's counting??? I'm still in triple digits!!! Saw BumbleBee's room on FB. Bet you can't wait to have a little one to put in there. Can't wait to hear the name. We are working on our shortlist presently. Very common and traditional names are in the running. Nothing has stood out yet.
Anyway, heaps more I could say but I'll leave it until tomorrow.
Kaz - I'm so sorry to hear of your m/c . Make sure you take good care of yourself.
Kim - I don't know exactly how much K drinks! He has two cups of milk a day and two or three cups of water I suppose. I don't pay a lot of attention, but I always make sure he has a cup of water on hand and he likes to drink.
alz - I'm glad the m/s is easing off, there is nothing worse! I hope Ethan has lots of fun with his new sandpit! Every boy needs one .
Saffi - How are you feeling pregnant lady? L's Chrissy pressie sounds like a lot of fun!
Julia - How are your Chrissy preparations going? What have you gotten Max?
Nic - Congrats on the new car! Territory's are great family cars!
Mo - Look at you with only 13 weeks to go!!! Are you all prepared?
misskate - K isn't walking yet so I don't put shoes on him, but I waited the 6 weeks to put shoes on Joel when he started walking. In the meantime I used to put soft-soled leather shoes on him that my friend designs, they're called Cheeky Little Soles and are brilliant.
Chamberry - That's right, now I remember your old username!
We're all good here, just getting ready for tomorrow. I have to buy some food today to take to MIL's for lunch tomorrow, then we're going to my mum & step-dad's for dinner. I dread to know how many extra toys we will come home with!
K is standing up unassisted now, but still not walking, I don't think he's far off though. I like him crawling though, it still makes him my little baby LOL! He loves to sit on the floor cross-legged (like a school kid) which is so cute. He also constantly points to DH's or my eyes, ears, nose, etc. saying "what's that?" to each one LOL!
Anyway, not sure if I'll be back on tomorrow so if not - MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!!!
Not sure if I will be in here again tomorrow either, so wishing everyone and their families a very Merry Christmas!
Hope all of your wishes comes true and you all have a great day! It even seems like Melbourne is going to get nice weather on Christmas Day for a change!
Kim - not sure how much water L drinks. There are always sippy cups available for him, but he mostly spits it out so not sure how much actually goes in. He does have 3 x 180mls of full cream milk a day. Trish - I am feeling ok, thanks for asking. Been feeling nauseous for the last week or so but apart from that not too bad. Alz - good the m/s has eased up. Sounds like you have it bad. I just keep reminding myself if I feel sick it means the bub is growing and I can put up with that. Amber - enjoy your break up at the dam. I suppose you'll be doing heaps of water skiing. Hope the weather stays nice for you. How'd the Wiggles concert go?
We have discovered In the Night Garden. L adores IgglePiggle. Everytime L sees him he claps and squeals. He is able to sit totally fixated for the entire show. L has a powder blue sleep suit that makes him look like IgglePiggle.
DH went to the seafood market this morning to get the food for Xmas lunch - 2.5kgs prawns, 2l obsters, 100 gr of smoked salmon, and 3 doz oysters - and I can't eat any of it Oh well I'll just have to eat the turkey and the ham. I am baking a ham this year as I don't think I am allowed to eat it cold.
Anyway, best wishes to all the mummies and the bubbies for a safe and Merry Christmas and for a 2009 where your hopes and dreams come true.
