Hope everyone else is well!

Oooooh, I like it! Very nice Mo ;)
-

Kellie how was the playschool concert?
Trish I was out too and didnt have your number cause Mo was worried you didnt get the text! x
Well feeling much better now thank goodness! Still really tired but getting there! Myles has a big bed now but its still in our room so we will hopefully sowly move him out lol!
Hope your all well! xxxx
-
Amber - it was so much fun, Tahlia loved it.. she kept walking away from me so she could get closer to the stage... now I want to get tickets to the Wiggles for her!
Glad your feeling better! I cant remember if you've said or not, are u going to find out the gender?
-
Awww Myles loved the wiggles! We were thinking of going again but dont know! We wont find out gender I like a surprise :)
-
OMG Amber how can you stand it!!!! It's still a surprise when you don't know what they are going to look like! I hope they let it slip when they scan you *evil laugh*
BBL
-
Jules by the end of my pregancy with Myles I was dying to ask her to tell me at each appointment but so glad I didnt! We thought they ha dslipped up and said girl but welll as you know he is a boy! Well thats what i tell people anyway
-
Great name Mo. I don't recall you mentioning that one.
Kellie - I bet the concert was great and even more so after being housebound with T and CP. How is she going now? If In the Night Garden was to ever tour we'd have front row seats!
Went to OB today and everything is good with bubs and me. Thought last night that I was having BH contractions. Told OB and he said it was too early and that it was probably my bowels (nice!). LOL
Anyone else's kid starting to bite? He bit DH on the shoulder tonight and has bitten me once. There are a couple of biters at daycare and L is sometimes on the receiving end. Any strategies on stopping it?
-
Saffi- congratulations on finding out your having a little girl!
Tyron has been a biter even since he got teeth... not all the time, the only time he seems to bite is when he has a tooth cutting through and causing him greif, and he's only ever bitten myself, dh and Nixon! he picks on his family members!
Mo- congratulations again on the arrival of baby Dakota! So happy for you!
-
Thanks Ladies, Feels good to be home.
I'll bbl after Cookie's done feeding. (Yes i still call her Cookie, can't seem to help it.)
-
Welcome back Mo! I look forward to hearing all about Cookie and her arrival into the world :D
-
Welcome Back Mo! Just saw Cookies pic on facebook, she is such a cutie!!!!
-
I have 2 sleeping babies so thought I'd jump on quickly.
We got at the hospital at 7:10, got hooked up to the CTG to make sure Cookie was happy etc..
8am my OB broke my waters & said he would give me an hour to go into labor by myself & if labor hadn't started by 9am i would need to have some synto.
Contractions started within 10mins & they were 5mins apart. By 9:30 i was feeling so much pressure that i couldn't even use the bath for relief, i could only bare the contractions standing up in the shower. By 10am the contractions were 2mins apart & lasting forever that i asked for a VE to see how far along i was. i got to the bed at 10:05 and was told i was 8cms & that i should be 10cms within 2hrs.
One of the midwives went to call the OB to let him know, while she was off doing that my next contraction hit & i remember saying that i needed to push now. She said try not to push, the OB would be here in 10 mins. He got there at 10:20 & i started pushing straight away. Cookie was born 11 mins & 6 pushes later.
Everything went so well the only bad part was the hemorrhage, but luckily my OB thought that might happen & he had me on the synto drip as soon as Cookie was born. So it wasn't as bad as it could of been.
Dakota is doing well, except she has lost more than 10% of her birth weight, she's lost 450 grams so far. So we have to go back to the hospital on Thursday to get weighed again.
Maddi just adores her little sister & i can't get over how huge Maddi looks compared to Dakota now. I swear she's like a giant lol.
-
Trinity - congratulations. I cant believe how quickly little Dakota made her entry into the world, she must have been well and truely ready to break out! It sounds like you are loving having her here. The reward is so worth it in the end isnt it, those last weeks seem to pale into comparison pretty quickly. I hope that her weight picks up for tomorrows weigh in for you guys ... again well done and congrats!
Saffi - a girl ... yay! How exciting for you. If you need any girl tips please dont hesitate to ask! LOL
All is well here. We had Mia's 3rd birthday on Sunday, all went well and there are a few pics on facebook if anyone is interested. I cant believe she is 3. All of a sudden she has masses of attitude to go with it. I am wondering if its just a result of being thoroughly spoilt and having her cousins and grandparents here? Yesterday was really bad and I now have purple carpet in Tay's room where Mia decided to draw. Tay also ended up white, after she got doused in powder and we had about 10 massive trantrums and meltdowns just to top it all off. I was so over it and made my DH bath her and get her to bed as I really couldnt cope for another minute.
Fingers crossed today is a better day!
Hi to everyone, hope you are all travelling well.
PS What is going on with the weather in Melbourne today? I dont know whether to dress for winter or not. 26 and wintery looking, odd.
-
Wow Mo that was a breeze for you! Well done. Dakota looks gorgeous and Maddi looks proud too.
Kaz I had a 3 year old here yesterday to play and she chucked it too. She wouldn't listen to her mum so I asked if I could do some supernanny tactics on her.....they worked! I suppose you can't react 'badly' to a tanti coz it only makes her kick off more....good luck. I really don't understand coz I don't have a 3 year old yet, but I'm sure you will get it sorted SOON!
Saffi Biting - Max has never been much of a biter till recently he would bite DH while they were playing. I would just firmly tell him No Biting....he hasn't done it since. I think he was doing it coz he just got a molar and 2 other pegs. Hopefully it will stop once the teething is over for you! Oh and congrats on your girl....I can't remember if I said anything or not already!!!
Nothing going on here, going to swimming today and DH is away till Friday so I'm pretty bored and talkative (with nothing interesting to talk about)!
Did you all know that when you are pregnant your brain actually shrinks! (so mum tells me Dr Oz says on Oprah!) so get onto fish oil preggo ladies the babies are sucking the Omega 3 out of you!!! :)
-
Julia - I would be interested to hear what your supernanny tactics were? All I know is that today has been slightly better, but I am being told its more the terrible three's rather than the terrible two's :crying:.
As for the biting, Tay bites and has been doing so for a while now. Its her way of telling us she is not happy about something. Its not funny, but when she cracks it, we all get out of her way. That is when the chair, table, floor or anything else she can get to cops it. We have tried the NO, smacking her hand, but nothing works. We didnt have a biter in Mia so its all new to us. SHe is getting better, but it still happens on occassion!
All I know at the moment girls, is that these kids certainly know how to keep us on our toes. Gosh I must go, I have started cooking a casserole for dinner, but have lost motivation. I so need to go finish it ... sigh!
-
lol Julia Very interesting.
I think i deserved an easy labor after all the pain i was in those last few weeks lol
It's funny how different my labors were Maddi was posterior, so all my pain was in my back, i pushed for over an hour with her & it was over 17hrs long. Looking back i don't know how i managed a drug free birth.
Saffi- MJ is a biter, but she is starting to grow out it thank goodness.
Kaz, Saw the pics on FB looks like she had a great time.
I hope Cookie has put on weight, so far I've had to top her with formula & EBM because she's not weeing enough & when she does wee it has pink stains :(
I'm pumping & feeding every 3hrs, hoping to build up my supply.
My LC is the nurse who help deliver Maddi, it's nice seeing the person who put up with me during my labor.
-
Mo - you sound like you are giving Cookie the best start she can get, I am sure she will be fine thanks to all of your hard work! Fingers crossed for you for the weigh in and that things improve in the wee department. I seen the picture of Cookie on FB as well, she is a cutie, love the hair. Reminds me of Tay when she was born! I am sooooooooo clucky! Better keep her away from me, lol.
-
That will be a bit hard, since i plan on joining your playgroup ;)
Thanks for the kind words Kaz.
-
Mo look at your s****y new Av....you sure know how to lose the baby weight!! I hope Cookie gains it fast and that things in the wee department get better. I'm sure you are doing a fabbo job! xo
-
Oh.....that word was supposed to be $w@nky!
-
Gosh that was quick i only put in a request a few hours ago.
Wish i could the baby weight that quick in real life
Thanks Julia, I'll be happy once her pee isn't pink at least then i know she's getting enough fluids to flush her kidneys out right. Really hoping she has some weight gain tomorrow even 5g would be better than nothing!
-
Mo - remember thinking the exact same thing when i come home with Tyron how HUGE Nixon looked, esp sleeping,he was my baby but massive in comparison! (he was 18m also)'well done to you what a fast labour
-
Hi Ladies
Mo - how did Dakota go with the weigh in? Thanks for sharing your birth story! Love the new av too!
Kaz - this melb weather is definitely strange at the moment! Hope the girls are behaving for you today
Not much new with us. I think amber teething necklaces are life savers! We just got one a couple of weeks back, and Tahlia has 3 new teeth and I only had to give her panadol a couple of times, compared to all the time with the previous teeth! I highly recommend them!
Got mothers group here today... Tahlia has just gone down for her nap, I said to her if she has a good nap her friends can come over when she wakes up and I'll make them fairy bread.... we'll see if it works!
Have a great day!
-
Dakota gained 100 grams, so all she needs now is breast milk :)
So happy my milk finally come in & my supply is good.
Kellie might have to invest in one of those necklaces. Maddi is teething again, these ones don't seem to bother her as much as the molars did which is good.
Enjoy your mother group today.
-
Teething necklaces are the best things ever...swear by it!
-
Mo - yay for Dakota, she is a good girl already hey! That is great news and I am glad your milk has come in for you!
Kellie - bad day again today, it seems to be we have great days if we go out to break the day up a bit. Cant be out and about every day! Also Tay is cutting teeth as well, not sure which ones as she has 4 molars and is missing her eye teeth, so maybe them. She is really dribbly, we havent had her like that before! Where did you get your teething necklace? How did the nap and promise of fairy bread go?
Not much other news here. Had a cleaning frenzy today, just have to wash the floor and my house is spick and span. Just cooking dinner whilst DH plays with the kids, so glad that he has taken over for the moment. I am at my wits end again today. I am in the process of finding a 3 year old kinder for Mia, I am hoping that it makes life better for both of us with her having some time out!

Hi everyone! Bit of a selfish post from me tonight. Poor K pulled a heavy cot down on himself today (I had one unassembled against a wall in my shop) and it hit him in the head and pinned him down by his left arm :(. He screamed in pain and was inconsolable. He had the biggest lump I have ever seen on his forehead and it had a big black gash/bruise through it :(. I took him to the Dr straight away and was told his head should be OK, but we went and got an x-ray on his arm just to make sure nothing was broken. I wasn't allowed to hold him during the x-ray because I'm pregnant and it was awful to see him so distressed and I couldn't cuddle him. Luckily his arm is OK and he started perking up after a while. I treated him to a trip to the park and Maccas for lunch to help chear him up LOL!
Oh it's been such a horrible day :(. K wasn't interested in his dinner which is a bit unusual for him, but he's also teething so it's probably a pain combo that's putting him off food. I know he's OK, but I still feel so sick about it!
Anyway, sorry for the long "me" post, I just needed to get it all out!
Some good news is that I get to meet Cookie tomorrow morning! Yay! That will cheer me up! See you tomorrow Mo ;)
-
Trish - thats horrible - glad to hear that K is ok! must have been very stressful for you! Lucky you getting to meet Cookie - give her a cuddle for me!
Kaz - the promise worked, she slept for 2 hours. She had a great time, its so much fun watching how they play and interact with each other now... and us mums like having a chat too! I'll send you a PM about the necklace
Mo - glad to hear Dakota is doing well
-
Trish - sorry to hear about L's accident. Must have freaked you out. I am sure it gave you both a big shock, but I am sure the park and macca's made it a bit better . Have fun meeting cookie this morning. Get some practice in cuddling a newborn, as you will have one yourself soon enough! By the way, where in Melb do you and Mo live? We are in Narre now.
Kellie - thanks heaps for the pm. I will have a look into it today, I must be honest and say I haven't heard about these necklace's! The beads look small, are they near impossible to break? My kids are destructive and I can see them breaking them in a couple of minutes!
We had a crappie night here, ended up with both kids in bed with us and me on the couch! I am over it ... we had made the decision that they were not coming into bed with us anymore and we are back to square 1 again as my dh keeps bringing them in! Mia cant handle having the blankets on, so we all suffer. And it was cold last night! Doh!
-
Kaz i'm in Pakenham & Trish is in Forest Hill.
Trish thank-you for the present & lunch today. It was nice getting out of the house.
Will bbl.
-
Hi again all!
Well, lucky me got to meet the gorgeous Cookie :D! She is so gorgeous and so tiny and looks so much like Mo! Poor Maddi had to put up with cranky, teething Kieran. He was an absolute shocker and they got to see him in all his glory LOL! Maddi was such a good girl and played so nicely, but K was not in the mood. His loss!
K's head looks much better today thank goodness. It looked so bad yesterday it was scary.
Kaz - I live in Forest Hill, not that close to Mo, but it was great to catch up! I think Mo's a bit closer to you. Sorry you had such a yucky night last night. I hope tonight's better :).
Kellie - I would have loved to have given Cookie a cuddle, but I had a teething K permanently attached to me and it wouldn't have gone down well with him if I was holding another baby LOL! He was trying to pull Joel's and my hands apart this morning when we were holding hands, he didn't feel like sharing mum today!
Hi to everyone else!
Only 5 more days until my scan!!! Can't wait to find out this bub's flavour :D
ETA - You posted while I was typing Mo! It was so nice to see you guys, thanks for coming!
-
Hi girls
My computer is broken :( So am catching up at mums! Will have to go back and read the post I know I am slack :)
All is good here only a week till my first appointment and to hear bubs heartbeat! Yay!
Will try to re read the posts and come back!
xxx
-
Ok back.
Trish K wasn't that bad & he did play for a little bit after an hour. Maddi is just to friendly for him i think
Maddi crashed 5 mins into our trip home, so was so tired from trashing your house lol.
Kodi is starting to look more like me now she's lost alot of her newborn fat.
Kaz sorry you had such a rough night, hope tonight is better.
Amber how exciting i remember the first time i heard Cookie's HB. Such a special time.
-
Mo - congratulations honey! I love the name, just gorgeous.
Sorry haven't posted for a while. Computer dramas also and I am catching up on my work computer, which I don't normally do due to the "spies".
Not much going on. Caden is over his bad spell and has been a little angel.
Hope everyone is well
-
Thanks DB :)
Glad Caden is being an angel for you.
-
Mo - I saw Cookie's photos on FB. She is so cute! Good to see Maddi too. You've got a couple of good looking girls there!
Kaz - hope the bad nights are over. I wish sometimes that L would stay still long enough to lie in with us in the morning, but he's always on the move.
Trish - I know it's a bit belated, but I am glad K is okay. Must have been very scary for you both.
Had a good day today. We took L to a playcentre this afternoon. He had a great time playing in the ballpit. It has been a few months since we last went and his confidence and motor skills have increased dramatically. He is confident on equipment that he was scared of last time. He was so exhausted afterwards. Good way to wear them out and get them to sleep.
Question - can any of the bubs jump yet?
All good here. Making a pork roast for dinner tonight. DH and L love their roasts so there will be heaps of leftovers to make up for L.
Have a good week all.
-
Trish - Poor K and poor mummy!! I'm so glad to hear he is OK, it's so awful when they hurt themselves like that  3 days to the big scan huh?! I'm so going to be stalking! haha. Even though I already know it's a girl ;)
Mo - hope you're recovering well and enjoying your newest baby girl.
Amber - you must be dying without a computer at home! LOL.
Big hello to everyone else. Hope all mums and bubs are doing well.
