Hi ladies how is everyone?
All going well my way, Jasmine is growing nicely, eating lots...making up for lost time i think! She is slowly beginning to talk alot more and is veery active now....she has a great big sister to teach her bad habits...LOL
Any of the VIC ladies going to the meet up on Saturday: https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ml#post1726304
Thought i might go with the kids....might be a nice day out for a change!
Anyhow, take care ladies.
Trish GL for your scan!
Mo Dakota is a cutie..how is she going now
-
Trish - only 2 more sleeps! I still say Pink!
Saffi - I think the bubs are at a great age at the moment, its great seeing all their developmental changes. They seem to be learning so much every day at this age. In regards to your question about jumping, when I tell Tahlia to jump she squeals with excitement, and bends her knees and then lifts off, but her feet don't actually leave the floor. She thinks its hilarious though, its pretty cute!
Mo - how is Dakota going? Is Maddi loving be a big sister?
Amber - hope your back soon, we miss you!
Kaz - did you end up getting a teething necklace?
Kim - I think Emerald Lakes is a bit far away for us, so we will give it a miss.
Hi to everyone else!
Not much new with us, feeling very tired today, so might have an early night!
-
Cookie is doing very well, She is nothing like her big sister.
She sleeps well, eats well, & is usually a quiet baby unless she is hungry.
We are going to breast feeding class on Thursday to make sure we are doing everything right & just to get the support & confidence i need.
Trish sending you lots of pink vibes for tomorrow :)
Saffi Maddi will only jump when very excited or when on the trampoline.
Kim i might come, if i do it would probably just be me & the girls.
Does anyone want an 18 month old toddler, she's doing my head in at the moment.
Feels like all I'm doing is telling her off. Maddison get off the table, Maddison don't pull your sister's arms & legs, Maddison don't throw your food, Maddison don't lean back in your chair etc...
Otherwise things are going well, she's trying to help & really does adore her sister. She just doesn't understand how rough she is being.
-
Hi all!
Only one more sleep to go until my scan! I'm so excited!! It's so early in the morning though and I have to drag the two boys out of bed so they can come to the hospital with us. My mum will watch them in the foyer, then she has to run off so it will be a tight squeeze to get the scan done on time! This pregnancy has gone SO fast, but the last 24 hours leading up to the scan are dragging LOL!
Mo - I'm glad Cookie is still going well. That BF'ing class sounds great, I hope you learn lots and come away feeling confident within yourself :)
Kellie - Lots of people are voting pink for me! I'm sure it's because I have two boys already! All I know is that I'm having a baby LOL!
Kim - Thanks for wishing me luck! I'm glad Jasmine is still going well :). I'd love to go to the meet up, but we have heaps to organise before we go away the following weekend. Hopefully another date will be arranged so we can go too.
Willow - I think I'll have a few stalkers tomorrow LOL! I'll make sure I announce it in my gender thread first, but I'll definitely post in here next! Man I hope this baby has it's legs uncrossed, I'll be sooo disappointed otherwise!
Saffi - K can't jump yet, but I also haven't tried to teach him or encourage him too yet! Can L jump?
Dragonbub - I'm glad to hear Caden is back to being an angel for you! I'm still waiting on Kieran to put his wings back on, he's still teething LOL!
Amber - We miss you! I hope your computer gets fixed soon!
Hope you're all well :D
-
Kim - I am not going to the meet up on Saturday. I am being taken to Hawthorn for a birthday surprise! Apparently its for a couple of hours and I am getting dropped off there, so not sure what this is all about!
Mo - I will trade you a 3 year old for an 18 month old. Seriously, Maddy would be an angel compared to Mia at the moment I am sure! Terrible 2's nuh uh ... Terrible 3's more like it!
Kel - No I havent as yet. I need to though, Tay is chewing on anything she can get her hands on, especially loves my car keys at the moment.
Saffi - I havent had Tay jumping yet, she is a climber though. Funny how different they can be from their siblings. Tay is a biter as well, Mia was neither of those things!
Julia - I read on facebook you seen a newborn and are cluckyyyyyyyyyyyy! LOL. Are you sure you can wait until Singapore?
Amber - sorry you are without a pc ... I know your pain! Feels like your right arm has been ripped off!
So all is cool here. We have had big dramas with Mia going to bed of late. She has stopped her day sleep and we struggle to have her in bed at night by 10 and that is early. Bedtime is usually a tantrum, screaming, kicking and hitting. It all started when she got rid of her dummy and she has been driving us batty. We finally relented and brought her a sleep dummy! Last night it worked a treat. Everyone was telling me not to give it back to her, but seriously, its just not worth having a really unhappy child by not letting her have one. I just cant believe so far that is all the problem was. Oh the other thing we have done is brought her a water bottle to spray the scary things in her room before sleep time. That worked well and she didnt say she was scared once last night!
Poor Tay was a bit sick last night. Eating dinner and she vomited, lovely and the meal kind of ended there lol. She was sick all night and then at around midnight a big chunk of meat come out. I wonder if that was her problem, as she is fine since then. Bit grizzly but that is the teeth I am sure!
We have been kindy shopping today, OMG, cant believe its so hard. We have been to see 3 and so far the one in narre north is winning. But even if you choose one you like you are not guaranteed to get it. So I have to find 2 others that are as good to put on my preferences for enrolment.
Hope you are all well. Nice day today!

Good luck in Singapore Julia ... hope it turns out to be great for all of you.
Trish - good luck with your scan x
-
Mo & Kim - just in case you come here before playgroup and dont see the facebook message, I forgot to tell you that we take a piece of fruit for each of our kids that are at that stage. Then we cut it up and combine it for the kids morning tea! I think I forgot to tell you about that!
-
Hi all!
Just popping in to let you know we're having a little girl!!! Yay, we are so excited! She is doing really well, but she's an active little thing and made it hard for the sonographers to measure her LOL! I was lucky to have two experienced sonographers and they both said without a doubt it's a girl so I'm feeling pretty confident :D. I can't wait to go and buy some pink stuff!
I'll BBL, but I just wanted to let you all know :)
-
Congrats on your Princess Trish
-
Congrats again Trish!! I soooo knew you were having a girl from the minute you told me you were prg!
Soooo happy for you, little girls are just divine and she'll be the perfect addition to your family
-
Huge congrats again Trish, i'm so happy for you.
Julia enjoy your weekend ion Singapore, can't wait to hear about it.
Kaz thank-you for inviting me today, Maddi had a good time.
-
Yay Trish! Congrats on your little princess!!!!! I knew it was a girl!
-
CONGRATS TRISH!!!! Perfect addition for your family.
-
Yay Trish. I have been thinking of you all day and wondering how you went. I am so happy for you.
Julia - have a great time. I LOVE Singapore. If you have a chance stop into Raffles for a Singapore Sling (I know sooooo touristy).
-
Trish - congratulations, you will love girl shopping! So many cute girly things around!
Mo - your more than welcome. I hope that you had a good time, Dakota is so so tiny! Gosh, you forget how small they were. You are doing so well being out and about, and look great! Well done on that!
Hi to everyone else. Just a quickie as the girls are in the dining room eating. So I better go back and supervise. We could have still been in bed if it wasnt for Miss Taygan ... she is an early riser, where as Mia and I would love to sleep in! OH well, its nearly the weekend.
-
Thanks for the congrats Kim, Willow, Mo, Kellie, Amelia (you and your DH guessed right LOL!), Saffi & Kaz! :D
DH & I are walking on air atm! We said last night that we feel like we hit the jackpot LOL! We would have been so happy with a little boy too, but it seems so nice that our last baby will be a girl. It will be so nice to experience life with both genders :). My MIL is SO excited, she has two boys and always regretted not going back to try for a girl (she reckons she would have had a third boy though LOL). She popped in last night with a cute teddy bear dressed in girly clothes for the baby, she seems more excited than us LOL! It was very sweet of her :)
Anyway, better go and get the boys brekky. Have a great day everyone!
-
Trish that great your MIL is so excited & what a cute gift she brought.
B/fing class went well, Cookie is almost back up to birth weight & the LC is very happy with how we are feeding. She did show me a few little things which have made a huge difference already so i'm feeling a lot more confident now.
Also brought MJ a amber teething necklace which i'm praying helps. She looks very cute wearing it & so far isn't trying to rip it off.
-
Hi ladies! Wow it has been a long time since I was in here! I saw on facebook that Trish was having a perfect pink bundle and then wondered why I haven't spoken to everyone is so long.... (My computer wont let me see new posts unless it has been ages coming on here and the laptop is just a pain, so that is the only reason, sorry all).
Trish - I couldn't be happier for you, she will definately make your family complete.
Julia - Have a great time in Singapore! Ah how lovely, I am completely jealous! ;)
Mo - Thats great to hear Cookie has put weight on so quickly. You must be a good milk maker! :) Great to hear you're more confident now with it all too.
A BIG hello to Amber, Kim, Willow, Kellie, Kazaraz,Saffi, Amelia and any one else I may have missed.
So a little update on us... Tiera has been teething terribly and been sick for a few weeks now which has not been fun at all!!! She's had a chest infection, runny nose, nappy rash, high temps, dribbling like crazy, whingey and miserable. The poor little munchkin. I haven't been to the gym in 3 weeks as she hasn't been well enough and has been very clingy. I hope all goes well and I'm back on Mon morning! Tiera has cut 7 teeth in a matter of two weeks, so no wonder she's been like this!!!
It feels like its been one thing after the other, Tiera being sick, DH's car breaking down, Tiera smashed our plazma and the dog has done some serious damage to his foot and we were told unless we could spend $3000 to fix him we'd have to put him down!!! Thank goodness now things are looking up... Tiera's getting better, got DH's car fixed, got the TV fixed (picked it up this afternoon) and the vet decided to do an experimental procedure on the dog at no cost to us, that so far seems to have been a succes. We wont know for another few weeks though, fingers crossed.
March seems to have dragged on for us as I'm sure April will too as so many of our friends have recently had bubbies (and some are still preg) and all we want is to finally start trying again for #2... May will be here soon! lol I wish I didn't have to be preg for 9 months, cuz I am really ready for another one right now. Kinda wish I had known that last year, would have dinfinately tried much much earlier! :D Anyways, its all good, all the more one on one time I have with my princess.
Well I really shouls be off. Time to start dinner. I will be back, sooner rather than lately, I promise.
Take care all
-
Hey ladies,
I too have been lurking due to stupid computer problems and not wanting to use my work laptop to post.
Pish - I hear you on the TTC#2 and readiness thing. I am not quite ready yet, and am also enjoying time with DS, but lots of gals are on there way or have already had their second, which makes me realise that it is only about 5 months or so away until we will be TTCing! Glad to hear things are looking up for you, WTG Tiera, 7 teeth in 2 weeks, that's gotta be a record
Trin - I bought Caden one of those teething necklaces, and I believe that it helps, if nothing else it distracts him and looks SOOO cute on him!
Trish - CONGRATS on the pink bits! That is so lovely. I hear you on the not being disappointed if it was a boy, but it must be like the icing on the cake huh?
Everyone else - HI!
As for us, we looked at a block today. Very nice, I think I am in love. We are really starting to get excited, and our dream is coming closer to reality. There was this cool park nearby with an awesome flying fox that goes on for ages on this long cable, ducks and waterfalls, bbqs and gasebos, sandpits and trees! We played for a while and felt right at home. Now...we just need to make an offer ...oh, and sell our house!
Caden is sick, cranky last night and today :( he has the flu, right before I was about to get him the flu shot! Not to worry, all the better for the immune system I s'pose.
Have a great weekend ladies and bubbas
-
Hey ladies,
How r u all?? Well moving to mackay was the worst thing we ever did cause DH has been made redundant this week cause of this stupid financial crisis that is going on. We decided about 2 months ago that we would move back to Brisbane at the end of this month to make sure this didn't happen but they bet us to it!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...................So now we have to break our lease here at this house and then re-rent in Brisbane which won't be hard cause my mum is a property manager but it is just the hassle of it all!! The house is all packed up besides the kitchen and our clothes, we I have packed most our clothes and I have just left out the weekly essentials with a few extras. DH is still working for his boss but now in the workshop but down to $30 per hour instead of $50 per hour!! Still money coming in so now so bad I suppose, but it doesn't help with rent of $550 per week!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so stressful!! Does help my new high blood pressure that I have. Okay enough about me, now to some personals.....
TRISH - So happy you have a pink bundle on the way.....DH must have a knack for picking these things cause this is the 3rd one he has got correct!! Have you gone out and bought a whole lot of pink stuff yet??
JULIA - Have a fantastic time in Singapore....God what I would do to go to Singapore!!
TIFF - Tiera broke the plasma!! Ohhhh no....how much did that cost you too fix??!! I know what you mean about one thing after another....just seems to never end!!
AMBER - Hope ur comp is fixed soon!! When do you have your first scan??
MO - Cookie is so cute.....How is M going with all you attention on someone else??
Well that is all I can remember for now....Sorry for the vent ladies!!
xx
-
Trish- congratulations on finding out you are baking a princess that is SO fantastic!!! glad all went well and she is nice and active for you!!
i know my MIL would go silly if we ever had a girl, cause we are her last chance, her DD1 cannot have children and DD2 has 2 boys and is done. so she had 4 grandsons i'd almost go as far to say if we had another & it was not a girl she'd be dissapointed.
Ty had another acco a few days ago. Pulled out tall standing mirror down ontop of himself. Got a huge shiner on his forehead but is so so lucky it wasnt worse. i thought he broke his hand cause it was squashed under when it fell. How on earth the glass or mirro didnt smash is a miracle and could have been fatal if it had. If he had of been 5cm to the right it would have fell directly on him and for certain would have knocked him out.
needless to say the mirror has been moved from the hall to our bedroom and the door is kept SHUT!
-
Monkey - sorry to hear about your dramas *hugs*. My DH was made redundant in December - Christmas Eve! It is not nice, and the payout doesn't go far. Perhaps there might be some additional compensation due to the extent of you moving? Might we worth talking to someone?
Nickers - kids can get up to such mischief can't they? I am glad he got away with just a shiner.
As for us, not much going on. Having a good weekend tho so far, had another look at "our block" that we want to put an offer in on and we still like it. Fingers crossed in the next few weeks we will be block owners...
-
DRAGONBUB - DH is going back to his old job cause they haven't replaced him as yet and have offered a pay rise which is even better. He worked/s for Star Track Express and they have a depot here in Mackay and they have a truck that hhas to go back to Brisbane for auction so DH is driving it back for FREE and FREE fuel too!! Better then paying $2k like we payed to get here.
-
Amelia that's great it wont cost you anything to move back home.
DB- Hope you get the block of land you want, sounds like a great area to raise your children.
Nic- So glad Ty wasn't seriously hurt. Must of been so scary for you.
Tiff-Not long till May now. Glad things are getting better for you now & poor Tiera cutting all those teeth so quickly.
Amber-How are going? I've missed you & hope now your comp is back you'll be posting more :)
Trish-How are things going with you?
Kaz-I hope you had a great birthday & the kids & Bruno spoiled you rotten!
Julia-How was your trip?
Saffi-Hope you, L & your little bundle are doing well. Have you got a named picked out yet?
Kellie & Willow hope you are your little ones are doing well.
AFU-Maddi is still giving us attitude but i think the necklace is helping her. She's actually calmed down a bit since she started wearing it.
Cookie is doing really well, she's gained 450g since leaving hossy, So i must be doing everything right with the b/fing!
-
Hi all.....BACK! (Mo you're really onto it!) Doesn't look like there's much to catch up on....COME ON GIRLIES!! Come back and spill your guts'! I'll BBL once my ten tonne of washing is finished with!
-
Hi girls!
IM BAAAACK!!!! yay!!!!
Well what a crappy week and its not ending :( I seem to be stuck in a big black sleepless hole that is not getting any better! Myles is feral, I cant seem to teach him to sleep all night, especially in a gentle way cause we dont do controlled crying or tough love, but its driving me insane! It makes me look like a bad mum and that letting your kid scream is the only way! I am desperate!
so I am putting in my order now for bub 2 to be a great sleeper! And an angel! What do you think my chances are hahaha! ZERO! lol!
Sorry for the downer am so over it sad lonely and defeated :(
Will try to come back and be happy! :)
-
Big hugs Amber . You sound exhausted you poor thing :(. I hope Myles settles down at night for you soon. How are you putting him down at night atm (eg. what's your usual routine)? What normally gets him to sleep? I'll try to put my head together with yours and try and find a lovely gentle way to settle him that works for you both.
Julia - I love your new ticker pic of Max, he's so cute!
Mo - WTG on Cookie's weight gain! You are doing a brilliant job :D
Amelia - That's awful about your DH's job :(. But it's awesome that he has another job to fall back on and how fantastic that it won't cost you anything to move! It's such a pain packing and moving though, and being pregnant must make it SO much harder.
Dragonbub - I hope you get that block, you sound so in love with it!
Nic - Thanks for the congrats :D. Wow, the pressure from you MIL really is on for you to have a girl next! Oh well, I have just proven it's not impossible ;). And to be even more encouraging, we didn't even sway for a girl, we just got lucky! Gosh, how scary about Tyron's accident! That would have scared the life out of me, I'm glad he's OK.
Tiff - Great to hear from you! I've been wondering where you've been. Sounds like things have been really full-on for you lately.
Not too much going on with me, I've been having fun buying pink clothes of course! I took the boys to a play centre this morning to catch up with a friend and K got soooo tired. He fell asleep in his stroller on the way back to the car and didn't wake up when I put him in his car seat! I put him in bed when we got home and he is still out to it over an hour later. He must have been exhausted!
I've been singing "Rock-a-bye Your Bear" to him lately and he now puts his finger to his mouth and says "shhh, shhh, shhh" when we get to that part, it's so cute! He absolutely loves music, he'll turn the stereo on and sit in front of it for ages rocking, clicking and looking through CD covers .
Have a great day everyone!
-
Trish, Thanks hun! It must be so fun buying girls clothes! I am so hoping we have a girl! Ok Myles sleeping habits where to start!!!!
Ok so we have dinner around 5:30 -6 then he has a bath, into our bedroom to be dressed which has happend since day one! Then we go outside to the lounge and he has a warm bottle of milk usually while watching the simpson so bad i know but at least he drink his milk, then he will want a breast feed when he is sleepy aso I will feed him and he will get sleepy or fall asleep, then he is into his big bed in our room as we cosleep! He will sleep some nights till after DH leaves which is usally midnight but that is a rarity. So when he wakes up he will whinge a bit , I have tried just patting him back to lseep but it doesnt work! And by this stage i am exhausted. So he comes into bed with me and has a breast feed sometimes for ages and i will try to roll him over and he screams! Its so hard! I am so tired to read books like the no cry sleep solution and they dont seem to cater for families like us! Argh i am at my wits end!
Sorry for the mammoth post! i have probably forgotten something! Oh yeah he is a terible sleeper! :)
-
Hi all
Been pretty busy doing not a lot at the moment.
Amber - sorry to hear that you are having probs with Mr M. Don't have any ideas for you as we have never co-slept and never BF to sleep beyond the very early days. I read the No cry sleep solution too - didn't think much of it TBH.
Nic - good to hear that Ty is only bruised. Things that seemed immovable only days ago these tots can now move with great ease. Every day L comes up with a new bruise somewhere.
Trish - I haven't been out buying lots of pink stuff yet. I did up an inventory of all L's grown out of clothes so I need to see what else I need for those early days.
How cute K sings along with you. L only needs to hear the In the Night Garden Music and he draws a circle on his hand with his finger. So cute!!
Mo - yeah going well. Thanks for asking. We have decided on a first name and narrowing down the first and second middle names.
Amelia - sounds like everything's going to work out for you both. How's your pregnancy going?
Hello to everyone I've missed.
AFM, actually I have been getting terrible indigestion for the last couple of days. Its like I am having a heart attack. I never experienced it with L so I can only hope that this is just a growth spurt and she will move down soon. Started taking antacid tablets but anyone got any swear by remedies?
-
Saffi I had shocking heartburn with Myles it would keep me up all night! I ended up using zantac but i have heard fruti tingle lollies help! I am hoping myles iwll start to sleep better soon! Thanks x
-
Saffi - Pregnancy is going well so far.....havent had any m/s at all, just real real tired. We find out the sex on the 7th of May so I can't wait.
-
Amber  I really feel for you, been there & done that with Maddi so many times.
The thing that worked for her was to wrap her nice & tightly. I would un-wrap her when i put her back in her cot but she usually sleep right through the night.
It was the only thing that worked when i moved her from my bed to the cot.
I Hope you find something that works for you both very very soon.
Saffi-Fruit Tingles worked great for me, Also milk & cutting back on all things citrus.
lol Amber fruit tingles work really well ;)
Trish- I love buying girl clothes, they have some of the cutest outfits out now.
Don't forget to buy headbands, they can really make an outfit!
-
Amber - Stupid question but have you tried the whole have something of yours with him so he can still smell you without you being there??
-
its not a stupid question Amelia :) We tried that when he was little and he just wants boob :( So it kinda makes it hard to try to offer nayhting else he just gets hysterical! I have tried letting him cry oonce but couldnt do it! I still wantt o co sleep but just would prefer him to not wake up so much lol! Thanks babex
Mo I dont think he would let me wrap him, I couldnt even wrap him when he first came home! Argh! What to do!
-
Fruit tingles!! I'll give them a go - have to be yummier than rennie tabs.
Got to go out and buy some headbands. They are so cute.
-
Saffi - Ugh, I hate heartburn! I have suffered with it for years (I have a hiatus hernia) and got it really bad with this pregnancy in the first tri. I use Mylanta which works really well for me. If you're having really bad chest pain, try sipping a fizzy drink to make you burp, this always helps me get a little relief (I used to get chest pain so bad I couldn't move or breathe deeply, mum would always run off to get me a fizzy drink :)). Stay away from caffeine (I'm sure you already are), tomato-based foods, citrus fruits, etc. Make sure you have an early-ish dinner so it has time to digest before you lie down to go to sleep at night. If it's giving you hell in bed, prop yourself up with pillows so you're not lying down flat. Hope that gives you some ideas :)
Amber - So does Myles sleep on a seperate mattress/bed when he first goes to bed at night? Or do you put him straight into your bed? (Sorry, just trying to get a picture!) Does he go to sleep by himself at first if he hasn't fallen asleep during his bottle? What time are you putting him to bed? Do you want to stop the o'night feeds? Would he respond if you are firm with him (I don't mean being heartless!) and say "No feeding, it's time for sleep now, go back to sleep". I agree with Saffi re: the No Cry Sleep Solution book. I read it when having probs with K and it wasn't much help at all for us sadly, it definitely doesn't have any fast solutions. But do read it by all means when you are feeling up to it. Oh, and don't write him off as a terrible sleeper! Some bubs just need a little guidance from mum to become a great sleeper :D.
Mo - Oooh, headbands! I don't have any yet LOL! *makes mental list for next shopping spree...*
-
Don't worry Amber you will find something that works for you both & being pregnant wont be helping how you feel. It wasn't too long ago i felt the same way you did it will get better i promise.
Also Maddi hated being wrapped, but now she'll come to me with a blanket & lay in the middle happily if she wants to be wrapped.
I find she usually wants to be wrapped if she's over-tired or just wants that feeling of being of hugged.
