celtic, it really is hard and im very lucky to be able to come back to it... i'll be tring to look for a part time job though thats for sure.
kim, that sounds like a lot of fun, the couple of times i have left lochie overnight killed me too....
trish, thats so cute that you were nesting.... i was big on the nesting with lachlan, i detolled his entire room about 3 weeks before he was due, lol.
amelia, no good about the fights, especially with new bub not far off.... hope it gets better
nerida, i was at the baby show yesterday aswell. i bought 12 new nappies so i more than doubled my mcn colection while i was there, was a whole lot of fun hehe... Lachlan is really good, he is so so so much fun at the moment. i hear a new word every day and he continually does stuff to impress us, we are laughing all day. he has a big range of words now too... its so much easier than guessing what he wants. im starting a little play group too for all those brisbane girls if you are interested. give me ideas and days if you want.
kaz, like i said before it was massively hard to work full time and full time mum. i have a new found respect for working mums thats for sure.
kellie, im houseworking today too, trying to catch up on the last four months worth, oops :P
mo, i have been watching your beautiful girls on FB. they are so cute!!!! i will start ttc in 12 months and hopefully ill get a girl...
amber, did you go to the baby show??? how many mcns do you have now?
anyways, thats all for now... will chat soon girlies
Kaz- congratulations on your pregnancy, sorry ive been away and just seen your ticker!
Saffi- we bought a phil & ted whe i was pg with Tyron. Seeings Nixon was only 18months old when Ty was born he was still in the pram all the time. its good because its not a side by side so fits everywhere, it does baby & toddler or 2 toddlers. Doesnt have a stack of storage though when u have 2 toddlers cause the basket becomes feet area.
Willow- wow 35weeks for you!
we went to melbourne for a trip, just me and the boys. I drove down on my own and all! it was great i caught up with lots of friends, went past my old house we built, went to my gf baby shower was the starting reason why i went, caught up with my old mums group and prem playgroup, an old neighbour etc. it was exhausting at times but i feel i accomplished a big acheivement!
my mum went down for a few days so actually drove back with us so was good to have someone else or i prob would have split the trip into 2 days.
kate- thats great u guys are talking ttc again! and 12months will come around pretty quick im sure!
kim- thats aweomse to get some help to have a weekend away how nice!
Saffi, I have the p&t E3 as well which is a older model but I love it esp when Ihad both the boys in it. I barely noticed that I was pushing 2 kids in it! It is really easy to fold down and very light as well. The thing about reviews is that is covers every ones opinions so you will get the bad ones with the good. What were some of the comments about it?
My oldest Cyndell is doing OK she has no voice so she is getting picked ona bit LOL and because she is whispering Kaleb keeps whispering at her back it is so cute.
Well I treid kaleb in the bottom bun tonight after his day sleeps were going so well in it. he played around for a bit but went to sleep OKish so I will keep it up I think and I will put the cot away thsi weekend! Very scarey my baby is growing up tooooooo quickly.
Hi everyone! Still getting over this cold which sucks! Had a pretty busy weekend, baby expo friday with Terri and her bump Bought some small nappies for nudge too cute! Then sunday was my best friends twins bdays! I cannot believe they are one! So was super tired by sunday night!
Was going to post this morning then you all went and did mammoth posts :P
Saffi Hope you feel better tomorrow! I personally dont like the P&T never had one but I dont like that fact that one baby has to stare at the others bum all day. We got a wheelie board for M to stand on and will use the sling alot for nudge! But if you like the P&T get it
Celtic there were crickets now they are gone :P How are you feeling ?
Kim lucky you a kid free weekend I still dont think I could leave M as much as i am dying for time alone with DH! good for you guys .
Kaz I hear you on indigestion and heartburn! I thought I managed to keep it away this time but no I have to have hard core stuff or else i cant sleep it gets that bad!
Kellie how are you beautiful? Hows T going?
amelia ahh gota love the fights with our DH we had a massive one the other week! More over how much time we don't get to spend together cause of the shop! Hope you work it out mwah
Mo hope the family gets better soon! Have you booked flights yet?
Willow hows things with you guys?
Nik sounds like your trip was great fun!
Paycyn hope your DD gets better soon! Good luck with getting DS into the bunk bed!
Kate have lots of nappies now
JuliaGood luck with the move hunny! Working on DH for that trip to see you
Willow - I can't believe you have the same bassinette too LOL! We all have such great taste . Where did you find sheets to fit? I have a couple of cotton sheets, but I'd like some flanelette ones because it will be SO cold. I also realised the person I bought it from threw in a mattress protector, bonus! You sound so organised now! Can you believe you'll be full-term in just over a week?
Mo - I hope you all start feeling better soon you poor things .
Misskate - It's so nice when they start talking more isn't it? It makes it much easier to know what they want. I made Joel breakfast the other day and as I brought it out K asked "Where's mine?" it was so funny!
Nic - Wow! I can't believe you drove all the way to Melbourne with the boys by yourself! If you're ever down again let me know, I'd love to meet you IRL
Paycyn - What a big boy Kaden is sleeping in the bunk bed! They grow up FAR too quickly!!
Amber - Sorry you are still sick . I'm glad you still managed to get out to the Expo, yay on the new nappies! How's Terri going these days? Tell her I said hi!
Well, I'd better go and throw some boys in the bath. I'm so tired today, I can't wait until they're in bed and I can have some peace and quiet!
I loved having a 24 hour child free break. Im comfortable leaving my babies over night/few days. I do miss them though, but you need a break now and then when your with them 24/7 and dont get out much.
Kim- How lovely I know you missed them but it's good to get some quality couple time too
Paycyn - I hope they feel better soon!
Trish- grats on the lovely bassinette , how's your back recovering from your nesting extravaganza? (I know I cant spell lol). Yep work knows I'm probably getting fired at the end of the year but oh well . It is very tiring Im lucky Ry is a really lovely docile child... minus the tantrum he's currently having because he can't run off with my drink (chocolate milk)
Amelia - *hugs* my mum always tells me it is easier to catch flies with honey than vinegar... I told her that's nice I prefer to kill the flies :P not really great relationship advise though. I hope things settle soon and he starts showing some appreciation.. have you thought about a sit down or perhaps some counselling if needed?
Kaz - Yep we are close , there seems to be a lot of people going back for more torment.. I mean joy.. haha jks. I'm feeling fine, just really tired, yourself?
Kellie- I think it's the repeatative nature you just get up, go to work, come home, repeat. I just keep thinking of the money and what I want to do with the house before bubs number 2. Probably be a SAHM again looks like they will fire me anyway so shall see!
Amber - Haha I thought everyone must have got lost... the crickets have been chased away that's for sure! Hope your snuffles are feeling better soon. I'm pretty good just really tired. Besides the snuffles how's everyone going?
I'm cooking a roast for a belated Yule celebration . No pressies this year will have to be more organised for Beltainne in October!
That's about it from me for now, wee man is changing between wanting to play and attention to wanting him time, I think he's working up to another tickle and chase session around the house... much to the displeasure of the cats hehe
I'm here and the move is over (until our 12 boxes of carpola arrive!)! I still don't have a computer at home, so my messages will be few and far between. Don't forget me though!
I'm sorry to hear about all the sickies out there.....winter is awful! I wouldn't know about that anymore! I don't think Singa's has seasons! It's just Hot & Muggy constantly.
Max travelled well on the plane, and has settled in well here.....he went to bed at 9pm tonight though, he was so tired! It's hard because their day's start late and end late....doesn't stop my boy waking at 6:30am still though!
I'll be back in a couple of days...don't talk TOO much!!!!
Julia great that the move went well for you now that unpacking and settling in. I moved back to NZ from Canberra nearly 4 yeras ago and it was stress to say the least esp wehn I went in Dec and didn't get any of my things till the end of january!!! And it all left on the shop before me!!!!!
Kaleb never want his changed he could be in poo up to his neck and he wouldn't care 1 little bit! He does tell me he has poos but then runs away from me quickly. He said a new word to day he said marsmello but it came out more like masmellow so cute. He was busy clapping int he car today then holding his arms over his head saying "YAY!!!" then "I did it" not to sure what he did but he was having fun all the same.
Anyway I hope everyone is well and that all the rpegnnacies are going fine atm and that any impending ones are getting ready to move into the big bad world!
Julia so glad you made it and Max behaved! You will have to pm your adress again and mobile number pregnant brain lost it
Celtic Oh my they would go nust together in a room by themsleves!
Mo how exciting P wants to come! But we will ahve to talk cause this may cause a problem wiht sleeping etc Hope M is better today and I am sure K will feed well tonight
Trish K is the cutest!
Saffi I feel the same wiht the wheelie board wiht M but we are not buying another pram as we have a bugaboo and it cost an arm and a leg :PGood luck wiht moving!
Paycyn Kaleb sounds like a real little cuite!
Not much happening here! Saw Pinky Mckay talk last night! How fantastic is she! I was in tears in some parts at what some "slepp" drs tell the mums to do but overall it was great!
Hee hee, I could really hear Grover when I read your "hello everybod-eeee!" Amber. How awesome you got to hear Pinky Mckay speak! How's the bump going, are you popping right out yet?
Paycyn - That's so cute that Kaleb was celebrating himself! I love the cute things they come out with
Julia - Woohoo on arriving safely in Singapore!!! Enjoy your new home, I can't wait to hear all about your upcoming adventures!
Saffi - I hope you're not doing any hard labour during the packing! Re: toilet training, I don't think K's ready yet. I have tried him on the potty and on the toddler toilet seat with a step thingy and he didn't like the feel of it, so I think it's a while off yet! Hopefully he will be easier than Joel was!
Celtic - LOL @ Ryan rolling over with his legs in the air! "Change me NOW mum!". I hope you are resting up as much as you can atm you poor love.
Mo - I hope today has been a bit better for you. These hard times won't last, I promise . Hopefully thinking about a trip to QLD will cheer you up and keep you going!
Willow - I did see that thread about the flannel sheets and thought "What the?". I used them with both my boys without realising there could be a problem. I still think I'd use them with this bub though!
All is going well here, I had a bit more energy today so have been busy getting things done. I can't seem to sit still and constantly think of new projects to tackle before the bub arrives! I'm actually running out of things to do LOL! I just wish the house would stay tidy for 5 minutes and I'd be a content woman .
The boys are going away again this weekend, leaving Friday night so I have another weekend all to myself, woohoo! I can't wait to have some sleep ins
Well, I'd better go put Joel to bed. He just got back from taking our dog to the vet with DH. Jasper (our dog ) has kennel cough, we thought it was improving, but then today he was sounding terrible again so DH took him to get some AB's. Hopefully he'll be feeling better soon the poor woofa. We've had him for 6 1/2 years and he's never been sick until now. It seems to be going around because my friend's dog up the road also has kennel cough. Anyway, that was a boring ramble wasn't it?!
Saffi- No they won't fire me on the fact I'm pregnant they will fire me based on the fact I won't be there 12 months by about 1 week to qualify for maternity leave so when I have the baby I will be fired on the fact I have no leave. It's a technicality and was brought in with all those work reforms to protect business from those evil mums that get jobs and pop babies! <insert sarcasm>
Amber - Haha, yes but at least they would tire each other out! . How are u feeling?
Trish - can I come live with you? Ryan can go with the boys!! Hehe. How are you feeling? Still got an energy kick or did that die pretty quick? I'm ok thanks just my throat still really hurts slight dry cough nothing major... just when you need to talk to stupids.. I mean students all day and a boss that doesn't listen to you so you need to repeat everything you say about 10 times the voice box ends up a bit crackly . I figured out a way to keep the house tidy for more than 5 minutes... be a single, childless woman with no animals... hahaha, other than that, doesn't happen .
Doesn't look like I'm going to make my EDD. Waters broke about an hour ago, called the hospital and they have told me to come in. PIL are on their way in to look after L and my mum is busy making a flight booking to be here asap.
Oh Saffi I am so glad I logged on to read your news before bed. Congrats and I wish you a safe and speedy labour. How exciting, you get to meet your bubba soon. I wish you all the best xx
