Amelia - Awww... It sux when your down in the dumps.. I hope everything picks up for you soon.. Your poor friend! I know its hard to find the right words but sounds like your just being there is helping her anyway...
I already try to brush both my 2's teeth twice a day... Some days yes I forget in the morning but never forget at night... Havent thought about the dentist though... I think I will wait a bit longer for that, I cant see either of my 2 letting a Dentist get close enough to look in their mouths! LOL
Yes we do plan on another one... Were going to start tryina at the end of the year but I was thinking about it a bit recently and got scared thinking "****!! The end of the year is only a few months away!" LOL.. I dont think I feel ready enough for 3 yet..> Will see how we feel when the time comes but Im thinking we will probably leave trying until mid next year.
Oooo Hannah or Harrison!! I like them both! Its soooo exciting! You know what your having dont you but your not sharing??? Im SOOOOOO guessing girl for you!
Becky- Im the same as you, i was hoping to maybe start trying between sept-dec this year but a few days ago was thinking wow thats like 2-3months away and i dont think im quiet ready for that yet! maybe sept-dec next year!
I love the partylite candles, they smell soooo nice, glad your havign fun and earning some extra $$ too!
Willow- tomorrow is your due date, wow! I hope you dont have to wait too much longer to meet your new little bundle, cant wait to hear!
Amelia - I love both names. I think I posted about middle names over in the Baby names thread.
As for your friend the best thing you can do is just to be there for her, if she wants to talk, cry, forget, whatever.
I am not sure what L makes of my belly. I ask him where the baby is and he pats my tummy, but I also say where's mummy's tummy and he pats it. I don't think at his age there is much I can do to prepare him. One thing I am going to do is have a present for each day he visits us in the hospital. Nothing big just a book here, a toy car there etc. I read that making a fuss over the toddler in preference of the baby is a way to help them adjust and not feel displaced.
Teeth. We have had a hard time getting to brush L's teeth. We have tried different brushes, different flavour pastes, holding him down, letting him do it himself etc. At the moment he has an electric brush which he uses in the bath at night. I have heard its recommended the first dentist visit at 12 months. My SD is a dentist so I am hanging out for when he visits next to at least have a quick look (if L cooperates). Becky - how are you? I had wondered where you had got to.
Another baby, how exciting. I think you'll know when the time is right.
L is at daycare 4 days a week (2 at the old centre and 2 at a new centre near our new home). Plan is that we will build up to 4 days at the new centre. He will stay in daycare while I am off on Mat Leave. I know that I couldn't cope with 2 young-uns at home. Besides these daycare places are hard to get and I don't want to lose them and also he does enjoy daycare and being with his little friends.
Had a relaxing day at home. Had a mid morning nap and then unpacking boxes and some housework in the afternoon. Also did some baby related things in starting to get my hossy bag ready. Tomorrow I plan to unpack some more boxes and more housework. Might also have a nap.
Becky - I do PartyLite as well.....Well I did till December last yr when we moved to Mackay but now we are back I am going to try and get back into it once bubs arrives.
Hahahah do you Amelia? Thats funny! We might end up at some conferences and training days together if you start it up again! LOL.. Im very much enjoying it, its just hard getting started and getting your client base etc...
K still has diarrhea, but it seems to be easing up a bit over the past two days. When I got him up on Monday morning he'd had an attack sometime overnight and it was soaked through everything, ewwww. I felt bad I hadn't known earlier. Then he woke up at 3am yesterday morning crying and when I went to check on him he'd vomitted, the poor little man. Not fun cleaning it up at that time of the morning either! This morning was another diarrhea episode which must have happened not long before he woke up for the day, so more cleaning up and washing to be done! He does seem a bit better today though, he had 2 1/2 pieces of toast and a banana for breakfast (this is a record for him LOL) so I'm guessing his appetite is coming back.
I took him to the GP this morning and they want to get his poo checked in case it's a bacterial thing, but I have to go to the pathology later because when we were there earlier the queue was huge and there were people coughing and spluttering everywhere. I'm not keen on catching swine flu atm!
Apart from that all is good . I'll be back a bit later for personals, K is in my shop crying over something so I'd better go see what the problem is...
OK, I'm back! I sample of K's poo (ewwww!) is on it's way to the lab LOL! Luckily we didn't have to wait long to be seen, I am so paranoid about catching someone's cold/flu while we wait. We get the results in a few days. I've been a bit worried about him because his temperature has been quite low (around 35.1 degrees) which can be a sign of dehydration, his hands were blue this morning. But the GP didn't sound terribly concerned (though he was one of those bulk billing GPs who rush you out the door ).
Amelia - Sorry to hear about your friend's bub, it must be so difficult for her. I'm sure she appreciates your support.
Saffi - I reckon all that unpacking will bring your little girl into the world soon . I'm glad you have been taking naps when you can, make the most of it now!
Nic - Oooh, good luck when you do decide to TTC! If you do fall pg later in the year, don't forget you have 9 months to get used to the idea of #3 . I'll be able to tell you what it's like to have three by then, I might put you off LOL!
Becky - I am so jealous you got to hang out with Amber and Myles! I wish I lived in sunny QLD so I could tag along LOL! It was great catching up with you on FB
Mo - I'm glad Kodi coped well with her needles, I'm dreading having to go through it all again! I'm sure her head is just fine
Hi to everyone else! I hope you are all going well
Trish i hope everything with Kodi's head works out. I'm hoping it's just going through a slow growth phase, but i can't help but worry about.
We get it measured in 3 weeks time so hopefully she'll be back above average & not in the 30th percentile again.
Also hope K feels better soon poor little guy from M to K.
My mum is doing really well, they have dropped some of meds which is really good news. She's talking, eating, walking again & the best part of it is she is happy once again. It's so nice to walk in & see her smile at us.
I'll be back later for personals, need to go pick Phil up from work.
OK .. I am such a slacker lately, I know! I blame pregnancy, because I just have the can't be bothered's most of the time. That said, about a week ago my morning / all day sickness seemed to end. It is great. I am still tired, but that is to be expected. I get an afternoon nap in when I can! The only thing that has made me a bit sick is the meat we brought at the butcher's that had hair in it. Do you think I can get that off of my mind when I think about eating anything? LOL, weird pregnancy brain! My girls are going well, Tay is having a bit of a SOL day today (**** on the liver)! Not sure what is the go, but Mia has copped it a fair bit. My parents think it is funny and payback for what Mia gives Tay. It is not so funny when you are constantly refereeing though!
Now to personals ....
Mo - Great to see you today! Maddy reminds me so much of Mia when Tay was a baby. I think the baby suddenly because this thing that makes noise and needs more attention, and the older one's just do not like it! Mia is a lot better now, but they still fight and hit and I think that is all part of being sibling's! When someone knows how to get them to stop and be nice to each, please let me in on that secret! Dakota is so much like you, love her hair!
Trish - I am starting to feel better ... yay! I had a scan yesterday to check the bub was ok, as we found out that Mia may have had slap cheek last week. We had no idea, but her cheeks were red raw and she was out of sorts and then a friends kid has it and she was with him ... so the penny dropped. We all got checked and the kids have no symptoms now, the DR said if she had it, it was probably a mild case. She said it is not good news for me, as it can be serious in pregnancy under 20 weeks. So added onto my lower right side pains, I freaked out and was not going to feel ok until I seen the little bub's beating heart. It is an active little thing, having a great float around and a wave! It is amazing how in love you can be with that little thing and proud .. I know that sounds weird. But what a great experience to see everything ok on the screen! Now I am convinced it is another girl as the hear rate was 147 which is similar to both girls. I know it is an old wive's tale! We are going to find out the sex I think, we are having second thoughts!
Saffi - The movie's were a disaster, Tay kinda ruined it for everyone with her yelling, screaming, running around and lack of ability to sit down! MIa also lost it about 3/4 of the way through, which is not normal as when I have been with just her she has been great. So we left before the end and I said they are not going back until they can pay for it themselve's, and then they can waste their own money LOL!
Willow - Been thinking about you and wondering how everything is! Cannot wait to hear of the arrival of bub! So exciting when we all start having the babies we have talked about for so long! Trish you are not far behind, bet you are counting down the days as well!
I was meant to say Trish and Saffi I bet you are counting down the days, sorry girls! I am losing it seriously. The things I am doing, saying and forgetting! I think after the baby is born down the track I might need to do a course, some work or something to stimulate my brain! I am finding I am getting more stupid the more kids I have
Oh and Becky we have our first names picked but not second ... that is hard this time! But at least the bub will have a first name ... I will keep that bit a surprise, because if we find out what we are having I will tell you guys and you won't have any surprise at all! I am thinking about telling everyone the sex and I am also not sure I want to do that either. There are so few surprise's in life these days, and I would want it to be a surprise for my family but after my sister told me what she was having both time's I figure I owe her!
OK, I hope that is my last post, I keep thinking of things!
Ohhhh I got big news that will be happening once the kiddies are in school................I am going back to school and doing a Bachelor of Midwifery. YAY for me. Kaz's post reminded me of our decision!! Lol.

hi everyone
sorry I've not been posting, I have been so busy with everything the last few weeks, working 3 days doesnt help either!
Kaz - glad to hear your scan went well, I bet it was wonderful seeing little bub floating around
Willow, Saffi and Trish - the countdown is on!!!! Cant wait to hear some BA's!
Trish - glad to hear K is getting better, I'm sure his sample will come back all fine
Becky/Amelia - what is partylite?
Becky - I'm not pregnant either.... although I am seriously getting clucky at the moment, so who knows how long it will be! I'm hoping when i decide I'm ready it will happen quickly like it did last time!
Amelia - love the names you have picked out, so cute! Thats very exciting news about doing midwifery!
Amber - love your names too! Eloise is so pretty! I have a feeling you dont need to worry about boy names cause it will be a pink bundle! I bet you would make a great doula too, you have such a supportive nature
Mo - glad to hear your mum is going well, that must be a relief for you
AFU - we are all better now which is good. Contemplating tackling the Target toy sale tomorrow, I'd really like to go without Tahlia when DH gets home but I'm worried what I want will be gone by then!
Hi to everyone else! Hope you are all well and that our almost terrible 2's are behaving and sleeping well!
AMBER - I didn't go for my OP in high school, the course I am doing is for undergrad's at Griffith so it incorporates all the extra stuff I need and it does include just the standard nursing certificate.
KELLIE - PartyLite is candles and ornaments. Google them....they have some real gorgeous stuff and awesome smelling candles. All their candles are non-toxic too so if a child or dog eats them there is no harm and also the melting wax doesn't burn so if a little one tips over a candle and gets waz on themselves it doesn't burn!! The candles are actually impreganated with the scents so you will smell them through out the whole burning unlike other ones where they are just dipped in the scent. Great products. Okay I have said enough now!! Lol.
NERIDA - How long off work are you going to have with this bub??
Amelia good luck hun i only ask cause my friend is having to cmplete nursing before she can even apply for midwifery! Hope you enjoy it I wuld love to do it but dont have the brains lol! Kelli good luck at the sales. I am staying away again
