Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the warm welcome! I didn't get back in as DH and I have been having some issues, but all seems ok for now.. Just a lack of communication..

Kaz - hope the family starts getting back on track soon. It is so hard when you have a low immunity from one bug, cause you just get the next one, and it seems never ending. And missing fun events really sucks!

Saffi - We won't be getting the swine flu vax for DD. DH and I never considered it for ourselves either. I just don't feel enough research has been done.. We put our Xmas tree up and DD kept shoving decorations just on branches, but she had fun. And it is the 1st place she goes when she gets up or we get home too.

Mo - the cubby sounds great. We are thinking of something like that next year when DS can enjoy it too. But my parents have just split up, so we are taking the swing set as neither of them will have space for it. So hoping that is enough for DD in the meantime. I hope your DD is ok. Fingers crossed that it was only a virus or something that caused it!

Nic - how scary?? That must have been terifying. I am always so nervous taking both my kids on my own. I only ever take them to someone's house, that is about the level of my comfort cause DD is so fast and is only 2.

Boomba - I can't even get DD near Santa, not even screaming, so unfortunately not even going to attempt the photo this year. Not to mention how high my blood pressure goes just thinking of going to the shops.

Pish - men and drinking.. Must be a special gene. My DH got so drunk at DD's birthday party (he managed to hide it till everyone left though), and was so sick. No sympathy from here, but he did agree to getting a plastic climbing frame for DD, so I held him to it, LOL. At least your friend made mocktails for you!!

Willow - thanks for the congrats on DS. Still trying to get used to it myself, LOL.. I know I don't have a 2 yr old boy, bbut we are getting DD an overnight bag with wheels cause she tries to steel everyone's when they visit, and just some kids cooking stuff, and undies. More practical stuff. She got so many toys for her birthday and the family are getting her toys.

Julia - I think the teaset sounds great for a boy. My DS will be playing with that kind of stuff. My brothers, all older, were given stuff like that before I came along. But my 2nd eldest brother hates his son playing with girly stuff. No idea why. They need to learn life ettiquette somewhere.

Kellie - your DD sounds so much like my DD. The things they come out with!

Hope I didn't miss anyone.. But I never do posts like this, so don't get used to it, LOL..

AFU - DD has been very clingy today. Not sure if she is coming down with something or whether she just picked up on the fact that I was going somewhere today after dropping her off to daycare. She chucked one almighty tantrum which she has never done there before.

DD is a great big sister and is so helpful with DS. Apparently she even went into the nursery at daycare today to 'help out' as her room was short staffed. And she is moving up to pre-kindy early next year too, if I get her TT by then. They won't move her up until she is trained. But I am no hurry for either. She went a few times, and now asks for a nappy again, so will just wait another week and try again.
