Well I clearly got a bit distracted and didn't get to come back!

Hope you all had a great day yesterday. Ours was great. A bit of a battle with the afternoon downpour but it passed quickly. Max was great and had his little friend Luella to play with which kept him going all night (then he promptly crashed at about 10pm)

Food was delicious but missed the company of the close family! Next year maybe huh!?

    Hi everyone

How did everyone survive Christmas? Ours was very busy. The morning was great watching L go from one present to the next. The house is totally covered with toys from one end to the other. We had lunch here with the ILs and friends and had a 6yo, 2yo, 1yo and a 4month old attending. L didn't sleep all day and has only just come down from the sugar high! Glad its over.

Julia - glad you all had a good day. Next year you'll have a 3yo and a bub - you'll be in for a full-on day. Hope your family can join you next year.

Off to day 2 of the sales. Went out by myself yesterday while DH minded the kids. He then went to a movie in the afternoon which was fair.

Hope everyone is having a good time.

Hi Girls ... Merry Christmas ... sorry I am late, so busy! It sounds like everyone had a fabulous day with their families and the kidlets made it extra special! We had a great year staying home and having the inlaws over. It was just nice to not rush anywhere, even did not find it stressful cooking lunch and then DH did all the dishes by himself when I had an after catnap ... yay!

I think all of the work, shopping and lack of sleep leading up to and around christmas has caught up with me as I am buggered. I am under strict orders today to do nothing and relax! Not hard as I have been up since early vomiting, seems to have stopped now fingers crossed. Not sure what that was about, but I had cramping as well (constipation sorry for TMI) so it might have been a results of that? I keep thinking can this happen in labour? But having only gone into false labour with Mia twice before being induced and experiencing contractions, I have not much idea. I figure if I get constant pains that are coming and going and get intense like they did when I experienced contractions way back then I will know its time! I am just waiting and half expecting my waters to break this time ... not sure why, just feels sooooooooooo different this pregnancy, maybe a boy thing? DH is convinced I will go early, so we will see if he is right. The countdown is on though hey, 33 weeks for me yesterday, which means 6 weeks and 1 day until my planned c section ... or maybe a bit earlier depending on how I am travelling! Yay I think

Saffi - How was L the next day? We found Mia was full on and lots of tantrums the next day, weird. Tay has been pretty good and cruisy really.

Julia - This was my first ever christmas without seeing my family, it was a bit strange, but I coped fine .. yay. Hopefully you get your wish and have more family around you next year!

Willow - Thanks for the christmas wishes, hope that you also had a fantastic day x

Amber - Hope you guys had a fabulous day as well!

Mo - Merry christmas .. are you guys still away and when do you come back to VIC? I am sure you are having a blast with your family!

Saffi - Merry Christmas ... recent pain was all due to a UTI that had started heading towards my kdneys. Two iv's and iv antibiotics and oral antibiotics and I hope that I am on the mend!

Kellie - When I read your post about staying off of the roads I thought how true ... we were leaving DH's parents christmas night and a guy across the road was so drunk he was lying on the ground, he somehow managed to get up and get in his car and drive off. I thought to myself he is the type of person to ruin everyone's year ... unbelievable! How are you feeling?

Pish - Congrat's on T and the undies, Tay has no idea! She loves the concept though of wearing knickers!

Trish - How was your christmas? When do you leave for INverloch, that will be a nice break for you, first one as a family of 5?

OK if I have missed anyone I am really really sorry. I hope you are all well. What is everyone's plans for NY's? We have none at the moment ... probably should get onto that!

    x

    Hi everyone!

It's been so busy around here I haven't had time to pop in and wish you all a merry Christmas! I hope you all had a great day. We had a nice, quiet one at our house. We only had MIL and FIL over for lunch and my mum and step-dad popped in for a while. It was so much fun watching the boys open their presents from Santa. K slept in and I was dying for him to get up LOL! K loved his wheelbarrow, he put all his presents in and and wheeled it around for the whole day .

K's speech has really picked up a notch in the past week and he's putting lots of sentences together, it's so adorable! Joel was reading a book he got for Christmas and K said "Where's my book? Where's my book gone?" and gave hand gestures. I burst out laughing and he strutted off thinking he was so funny. Today I was changing his nappy and he said "Mummy, my poo stinks" . He's just the cutest little man, such a character with a huge sense of humour.

We are leaving on Wednesday for Inverloch and will be back on Saturday or Sunday. We'll have New Years there, but I will be sleeping through it LOL!

Kaz - Wow, not long until your little man arrives!!! Have you chosen a name for him yet? You make sure you follow orders and put your feet up!

Saffi - I hear you on the toys spread all over the house. The boys seriously got FAR too much stuff thanks to MIL, who bought two of everything!

Julia - Glad you had a great Christmas . It must have been strange not having your family around, but you still had your own cute family . Thanks for your lovely comments about my kids . I love looking at your photos of Max on FB, he is such a little charmer!

Willow - Hope you had a great Christmas! You still haven't forwarded my your bank account details!! Send them to me when you get the chance

Amber - Hope you guys had a great Christmas too!

Mo - How did the girls go with Christmas at your place? I bet they got spoilt!!

Kellie - How are you going? Hope you've been buying lots of blue stuff! Have you picked out a name yet?

Tiff - Woohoo for Tiera being in undies!! What a big girl!!

Hey Trish, your Christmas sounds great. First time we had stayed home this year and like you guys, we just enjoyed spending the day together and watching the girls enjoy their presents. Our favourite is seeing Tay on the gimungus trampoline, she runs around the edge and resembles an emu ... sticking her head out, priceless. We all sit on it and the kids bounce around us, whilst DH and I have goal shooting comps. Who would have thought we could have so much fun ... :woot:!

I am with you about New Years .. we have no plans and I think DH is pretty adament on keeping it that way. I am seriously unphased about the whole thing and will not care to be sound asleep when the clock strikes midnight tomorrow night. I am sure there will be plenty of party people to make up for my lack of party spirit!

Babies name is all sorted Trish ... if you know me well you would know my name, we have had the same one picked since I was pregnant with Mia. But on the flipside, you only have just under 6 weeks until you get to find out as well. I was only thinking that by the time next payday hits (we are paid monthly), I will have less than three weeks to go before the baby arrives. Scary!

Hope everyone is well, so quiet in here of late. Busy mummies I am guessing x

Just popping on quickly, we got home yesterday had a nice trip & it was great finally meeting my little nephew.
The girls got spoil rotten & Phil even got me a beautiful necklace.
On the downside my Mum no longer remembers who i am, which is very upsetting. She only know of me as a friend who sees her once a week

1 more thing Kodi is now standing for a few seconds by herself, She's even trying to get to the standing position from the floor.

Will bbl once the girls are asleep.

    Hello everone

Mo- yay for Kodi standing. She'll be walking before you know it. Sorry to hear about your Mum.
Kaz - I think there'd be a few peope in here wishing for better health in 2010 (you included LOL
Trish - we actually packed away some toys this week. So far L hasn't noticed they're gone.

Just saw the most beautiful thing. L saw our next door neighbour Charlie (2yo) on his deck. L runs out and yells "hello Charlie" and waves. Charlie then waves back. Its moments like these that I really love.

No plans for NYE here. If I make it to midnight and I'm still awake I'll be very surprised. Mind you I might be awake having to feed M.

Here's hoping for a safe and prosperous 2010 and I hope all your dreams and resolutions come true.

OK, so its some ungodly hour and I cannot sleep. I am in so much pain, my hips and lower back are killing me. I have just had my second bath for the night and popped my second lot of pain meds. It is so hot and stuffy in my house, which is only adding to my discomfort. On a positive front we are now in 2010 and only really have this month of Jan to go until the bubs arrives. So I am hoping when I go see my doctor on Monday, we can rediscuss bringing baby v into the world a bit earlier as I really cannot handle this pain and lack of sleep anymore. Worst case scenario, I have 5 weeks and 3 days to go, best cast scenario they bring bubs on a week earlier on the 1st or 3rd of Feb and I have 4 weeks and 3 days or 4 weeks and 5 days to go. I am becoming a bit focused on that 4 week mark, as seriously seriously just want to get my body back to some kind of normal.

Anyway I am going to open the back doors and hopefully cool this house down a bit. Only doing it cause my DH is in bed with Tay to try and give me as much SPACE as possible to rest. So off to do that and attempt again to get some rest. I am sure you are all getting sick of my whinging ... I am so not a good pregnant person and I think I could be more rational about it all if I could just sleep! Argh!

Happy New Years girls, promise in 2010 (after the baby is born) I will keep my whinging to a minimum xxx

Our holiday was good, it was so nice spending Christmas with my sister, niece & nephews.
We had a pretty good drive, both girls did better than we thought, tho next time we will most likely fly. Much less stressful!.
We never made it to QLD as Phil's step grandpa passed away Dec 22nd from cancer. At least he isn't in pain anymore.

Maddi is my little parrot, she's always telling Kodi "In a minute" when K wants her toy & "Kodi be a good girl". She basically replaces Maddi with Kodi it's quite funny hearing her talk to Kodi in the same way i talk to her.
K is doing great no more shaking episodes & is growing up way to fast. I can't believe she'll be 1 in 3 months.

As for my Mum it's heartbreaking that she doesn't remember me, i called the nursing home on Christmas day & she keep saying she has no daughters etc... I spent most of Christmas night crying.
I knew it would happen, but you just can't imagine how much it hurts till it happens.

Kellie, Sounds like you have had a ball this week. I know what you mean by being pregnant in the heat. I hated it with Kodi.

Kaz i hope your feeling better today. FIngers crossed that the Dr's bring baby V into the world a week earlier for you.

Saffi how is Immi doing? Is L loving being a big brother?

Trish hope you guys are having a lovely time away.

Amber, Willow, Julia, Tiff & anyone else i missed i hope your doing well

Mo - I can only imagine how you must be feeling. No consolation to say at least your Mum is not aware.

L loves being a big brother I think. He is very attentive towards M and gives her kisses and cuddles. L is being a parrot too. He is copying a lot of whay DH says. Its so funny.

M is going well. She's almost 5 months and we intend to start solids at 6 months. No teeth as yet. Still not a great sleeper and her night sleeps have regressed lately. I'm wondering if I should do some sleep training with her. With any luck she'll be starting daycare in March and I am wondering if I should have some kind of sleep routine established by then.

    Hi Girls

    Sorry I've been IMA

Christmas as you know went well, but I found out boxing day that a friend of mine from school passed away on Christmas Eve from a heart attack (she had a heart condition and pacemaker). Saddest thing is that she had a little boy who will only be 2 this year. It breaks my heart that she doesn't get to witness the joys we get to witness

We went to Kuala lumpur for New Years...very quick and sudden decision. We left on Thursday, the day I got another cold! So NYE night I stayed in the hotel room, coughing and spluttering with a very tired little monkey.....did wake up for some fireworks though! We met up with some perth friends there too. It was so nice to have some familiarity from home! Max was really good till he caught my cold and now he's coughing, spluttering and spewing up the plegm he keeps swallowing! Arrrrgh! There's my whinge....don't feel bad Kaz!!

Mo I'm really sorry to hear about your Mum. I don't understand personally, but I know my dad went through the same thing with his dad. My granddad thought my dad was his brother. My dad really loved his dad. It was very sad for him. Hugs babe. Cant' believe K is going to be 1 in 3 months. That is completely nutso! Max is a parrot too....but more with manners than anything....everything is "no thank you, yes please, bless you" and if he sneezes and I say bless you, he says "thanks"! I wanna eat him up...STILL

Kellie What kinds of names do you like, old fashioned? Modern? What names DON'T you like....give us something to work with Can a prize go to the winner!!!!!

Kaz Hang in there Honey....you've come so far with all this pain and suffering! You can do it

Saffi Shoulda, woulda, coulda! M will get there with her sleeps. Unless it's a megga deal for you, I wouldn't fix it just coz of day care! But hey, that's just me :P

Well, gotta go....Im sick of having the cricket on in the background with DH asleep in front of it! Take care and Happy New Year to every single one of you!!! xo

Mo - hugs to you, must be very hard. My mum is going through the same thing with her mother at the moment too, its very sad

Saffi - I agree with Julia, I wouldnt do sleep training cause of child care but its up to you! I did sleep training with Tahlia and it all went in one ear and out the other anyway! This time around I am just going to follow my instincts and do what I think is right, not what everyone else tells me is right!

Julia - sorry to hear your feeling sick. The prize for the winner can be bragging right... lol! Don't really have a preference for old fashioned or modern, just want something that has only one spelling (I remember years of correcting kelly) and is relatively easy to say. So far we like Ryan, Logan, Lewis and Wade, but we're not 100% convinced on any of them. Have you got any names picked?

Kellie We've got Abigail, Tabitha, Madeleine, Jemima and Darcie (madeleine winning for me ATM) but I think it will be a wait and see kind of thing! I think I'm going to have my grandmothers name as the middle name which is Eladia (spanish so it's said Elathia). For some reason I just keep thinking of Matthew for you....weird!

For round 2 of boys names for us, we had Jacob, Felix, and Angus....with my Dad's name Robert as middle name!

Naming a kid is a tough gig!
