    Hi all

Gee, things have been quiet in here. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who's really, really, really busy. Whatever you're up to I hope you and your bubbies are well.

Been busy with work and family. The kids are great. We are finally over our colds. M is standing really well by herself now and she said mumma for the first time a few weeks ago. Still only got 6 teeth. Big news is she's pretty much sleeping through the night. Getting her down for the night is a nightmare, but once down she's asleep until 5/6am.

L's good. He's developing such a personality. Still TT. He has an accident usually once a week. He's talking more and more. Still very simple sentances but he understand's so much more.

Off now to feed M and hopefully put her down for the night.

    Morning everyone

Mo - haven't even thought about L's party yet. I am in the process of planning M's. We are having a morning tea with my MG. Its funny - all the kids invited are either L's friends (and age) or they are babies (less than 6 months old). Haven't decided on a theme.
kate - how are you doing? How's Lochie going?

AFU - M is now walking. Still a little unsteady on her feet but she is taking more steps everyday. I knew she'd be walking before her birthday.
The other news is that she has Hand Foot and Mouth disease. Its only a very mild case and she doesn't seem to be in any pain because of it. I also suspect that L has it but again if he does it's only very mild. Hopefully they will be well enough to go to DC tomorrow.

DH is on leave this week and today is my day off so we're thinking about going somewhere for a family fun day. Nothing much else happening with me. Hope everyone is doing ok. Stop lurking and come and say hello.

Hi everyone! Long time no speak, I've missed you all .

Saffi - Woohoo for M walking!!! I can't believe she's nearly one, this last year has flown! Enjoy your family day today

Misskate - How are you guys going?

Mo - How's things? A meet up at the children's farm is a great idea, it will be so great to all catch up and to see Amber again!! I'm going to the Berwick B&K market on the 25th of July, if you guys are going we'll have to try and catch up!

Hi to Amber, Willow, Julia, Kellie, Kaz and anyone else I have missed!!

I'm sick as a dog atm, I've got a chest and throat infection and feel absolutely shocking. DH took the last day and a half off to look after us all, but is back at work today. He has a sore throat now, I feel so bad that I've made him sick! Apart from that all is going well. Business is keeping me nice and busy as are the kids. Joel is back at school this week after the school holidays, it was nice having him home, but MAN it is so much busier with all three at home!

K is going great, his talking just gets better and better (as they all do), still not TT'd . He just isn't interested and I don't know what else I'm supposed to do! He is all excited about going to kinder next year, it will be interesting to see how he copes when I drop him off the first time. Joel was TERRIBLE! He used to scream and cry every time I left for the first few weeks (as you may recall?), it was heartbreaking. He always calmed down after I left and had a great time though! I'm dreading having to go through it all again with K. Fingers crossed he'll cope better.

Alana is going great, still a happy little chick. She's lots of fun, the boys love her to bits. She's trying to talk lots now and can say some new words like "dog", "woof woof" and "Joel" (all kids can say Joel easily for some reason haha!). When I say "yuck" she whispers loudly back "Yuh", so funny! Oh and she whispers "whassat?" a lot (not sure why she whispers LOL), I remember K used to say "What's that?" all the time too! I must say it a lot or something .

That's about all really! I'm feeling pretty flat atm, could use some cheering up I think! I'm sure once I'm over this cold and getting some decent sleep again I'll be back to my cheerful self.

Hope you guys are all well!

Sending you a big hug Trish!

Max is sick too....poor little thing will not stop coughing....got the runniest nose ever (which keeps getting smeared across his face - the snot that is!) and has an ear and throat infection....so is on antibiotics! I just hope it's all over and done with before we go back to Singa on the 26th.

Darcie is going well....she cries a lot more than Relaxy Maxy ever did, but she is pretty easy still. I think I got lucky! She looks nothing like me too....but at least Maxy does! The MIL just loves the fact that D doesn't resemble me at all....daft woman!

Max has started getting into the laptop as DH has now got webcam on his laptop so we have to 'see' daddy every morning and night. DH is late into work this morning though so it's driving me and maxy nuts waiting! Lucky darcie is still sleeping!

Mo havent even begun thinking about Max's birthday, but we will be having it in Singa this year so he wont have many friends to celebrate with. My mum is coming up hopefully so that will be the biggest present for him ever.

Saffi YAY for M walking....I'm so looking forward to seeing all those cute milestones again.....I don't think I enjoyed it enough with maxy.

Well thats it from me....Max wants to play music on the laptop now....we found a website that creates guitar riffs so he's entertained for a while! HA!

    Take care everyone
    xx

    hello all!
    gosh its been a while.
We are good, took the boys to the snow a few weeks ago. Ty was too young to go in any classes or anything, we did get him on some skies for a short time though!
he's not TT yet, hopefully in the next few months he'll start to show signs, ive enrolled him for preschool next yr but needs to be out of nappies. But that doesnt start till end Jan which is another 6m away.
Ty tells me he wants a Buzz cake so i guess iwill be having the same theme as we did for Nixon's 3rd birthday! prob gonna have it at the samwe place Nix had his too, just up the road there is a little play cafe.

    I hope everyone is well

Is anyone enrolling their little ones into 3 yr old Kinder? I've put M's name down & we should find out Sept if she got a place.

the names are all different in each state, prep, kindy etc it confuses me! But Ty will hopefully start preschool next year at the same place Nix goes to.
Ty will go 2 days a week (9-3) and Nix will go 3 days a week (9-3)
Took tyron to the ENT specialist last week, re his huge tonsils. Nix had his out when he was 2 1/2yrs, i think Tyrons will eventually come out but if wecan get him a bit older may be better.

    Hi lovely ladies!!!
I know I haven't been here in ages, (typical me hey?!) life is pretty busy around here with 2 children a DH n a business to run... Oh and a faulty computer!

Its funny you're all talking about preschool, T starts tomorrow!!! She'll be going 9-3/4 one day a week. I started her in family day care in late Aug last year as she just loved playing with kiddies and a couple of hours of a morning at play group or swimming just wasn't enough for her, but now its time to move on and get her into a more educational programme with some older kiddies to extend her learning further. I am REALLY nervous. We have been to a couple of play dates at the centre for a few hours at a time with me staying with her and everything has gone quite well, but she's by far the smallest of the kiddies so I'm a little worried she might get knocked about by accedent. The centre is fantastic, the teachers brilliant and the kids are well behaved for a bunch of 3-5 y/o's! T did start to play with the 'naughty boy' of the centre, but I gently nudged her towards the sweet little girls there so hopfully she will play with them! Tomorrow will be a long day for mumma here and will probably have some tears on the way home, but as long as she has a great day thats all I really care about!

So I have a Q if you don't mind..... How are your little people behaving lately??? T has really been pushing the boudaries lately. Don't get me wrong she can be really good, then other times she is just driving me up the wall with her squeeling, tanrums and and talking back in gibber gabber (that a friends little boy so kindly taught her to do!). I tried ignoring it until it gets over the top, I've tried time out which she stays sitting there for far too long cuz she just wont can't down and stop crying, I've tried talking to her calmly (which is what I attempt to do everytime and warn her before putting her into timeout), but I find myself getting cranky and sometimes shouting at her.... Not how I wanted to do the whole parenting thing at all!!! Lately I have been doing my best to take a deep breath before doing or saying anything just so I don't loose it with that horrible "STOP TIERA". What else can I do?? She has sooooooooooooo much energy. If we don't go out for several hours during the day it's as if she's going stir crazy, but she has free play inside or out. I don't feel as I should have to go out every single day, especially in winter with a NB.
So I wanting to know if it's the age factor, we really haven't gone through the 'terrible twos' up until recently, if it's something I'm doing wrong (apart from the shouting thing, I know thats terrible!). Can anyone steer me in the direction of any reading material to help get through the behavour, things I can try etc??

    Thanks IA ladies!

Tiff - there's a few posts around suggesting that it should be the terrible 3s rather than the terrible 2s. L pushes the boundaries too but fortunately for us counting to 3, and followed by time out if he doesn't comply seems to work for us, for now. Its so hard not to totally lose it sometimes.
Good luck for tomorrow. She'll love it and once you get used to the idea you'll love the time for just you and bubs.

Well M turned 1 on Thursday. We had a party for her with all of L's friends from MG. I guess they are her friends too as she sees them every week. Now thinking about L's party LOL.

Thought we had a breakthrough with L eating some carrott last night. So we tried again tonight and he gagged and spat it out and carried on. Oh well I'll perservere.

Nothing much else happening. Hope all the mummies, kiddies and bubbies are well.

Yeah thats what we do too, the counting to 3 then time out. Most of the time she'll stop what she's doing by 2, but she does start crying because she's had to stop or if she goes into time out she'll cry then too, so the 2 min she's meant to be there turns into 3 or 4 as she just wont settle down. The moment she does settle to praise her and give her a big cuddle, tell her why I put her there, she says sorry and I tell her I love her.... Super nanny style! lol I would really like less tears throughout the day, but it might just be a matter of time and getting through these terrible 3's (close enough! :-) )
Happy belated birthday Miss Imogen! I hope you all had a great day!

Maddi can be such a terror, but 20% of the time she can be so sweet.

Maddi is so excited about her party, all she talks about is what kinda Tinkerbell stuff she wants lol
We got her a wooden nursery, dolls, Tinkerbell stuff & play food. Her Nana's got her a plastic kitchen & one of her Aunties got her a Tinkerbell outfit.
