Rebecca - Aww, hugs to you. There is no way you are a bad mother! It is obvious you care very much about Caitlyn. Like Ange said, sometimes babies just cry. If she keeps it up for more than a couple of days, maybe get her checked out in case there is something making her cry (like reflux, colic, etc...). That way you may be able to solve things and get your sanity back. I totally sympathise, Joel used to scream and cry during the day unless I held him. We discovered at 10 weeks (10 LONG weeks!) that he had a dislocated shoulder (birth injury that was never picked up). I was a teary, tired mess by the time we found out. We got him fixed up and it all worked out. We did end up using a baby hammock though because the motion really helped settle him. Have you got a sling you can carry her in to keep your hands free for a little while? Hope you get some peace soon.
Ange - Your comments could have come straight out of my mouth! I think I will have to invest in a new wetsuit as I doubt I'll ever fit into my old ones again. I am not a good surfer, I just go out for the fun of it (gotta love the white wash). I have a mini-mal so at least I get to stand up on the odd occasion I get to go out. We have foam surf boards for our two boys, we can't wait until we can teach them. How funny would we all look going out surfing together!
