Yeah for getting your new car Nikki! Must be soo nice!

I'm in a bit of a state today...just over it all really. Having pains 5-8min apart heaps but they're just not going anywhere - managed a bit of a nap but I'm just so cranky. I think because of this Louis is being trying as well...urrgghh I just don't know how I'm going to get through potentially another week or more...

oh kristie, hang in there sweety,i guess in some ways you probably feel like you are overdue considering louis was 2 weeks early.i think we all thought you would have had bub by now.just try to enjoy the little time you have left with just you, micheal and louis.
it will be happening before you know it and then you will go through the emotion of feeling sad that you are not pregnant anymore.

    Thanks Nikki!

I know...I go from that feeling to one of just wishing it was all over! hehe. I think I would be coping better if I didn't have all the pains all the time constantly reminding me that it could happen anytime but isn't! hehe.
Dh and I have been playing some music this afternoon which has lifted my spirits - hehe. Showing our age with red hot chili peppers and pearl jam etc...Louis hasn't really knows what was going on but has happy dancing away with us anyway! LOL!
Just cooking roast for dinner and think I'll chill out before another early night...

Krisite hope you have a nice night LOL about you all dancing around in the loungeroom, thats something I would do. Dylan will be here before you know it so dont worry.
Nikki Yeah on the new car. How is the house?
Cindy sounds as though you are doing very well being a mother of 2. we all knew you would though.
Meg Not sure who would have her contact details?
Rachael hope you had a nice weekend.
    Melissa how are you doing?

Today has been great. Jordan slept in till 8am YEAH! so I got a sleep in aswell. We had a great play today but coped a few injuries. 2 lots of fingers james in doors and a cut chin from falling from walking. OH WELL he is ok, cuddles cured everything. I am so not used to him walking still, he looks so strange doing it.
We just went and showed him off to our friends, I am so proud of him.
Just cleaning up the house now, whilst Jamie makes more mess in the kitchen. He is cooking cadbury muffins YUM, with Jordand help so there will be plenty of chocolate everywhere.

Better go and put the clothes away so chat later.

Kristie, I've been sending you labour vibes all weekend. Seems like I've not been very helpful so far though. I really feel for you at the moment. It must be tough waiting out the last couple of weeks, esp when you thought (hoped!? LOL) you might go a week or two early. As you say, I guess this time is a great chance for you to enjoy some sleep and special time with your DH and Louis.

Tracey, Soooo proud of Jordan. What a clever boy. A whole new world has definitely opened up for him now. There have been soooooooo many more accidents in our house since Gustaf started walking. It makes things interesting. Cooking sounds like it would have been fun. Hope you took some photos... Yummm wish I could pop over to eat some of your DH's cooking.

Nikki, Congratulations on your new car. I'm very jealous! Hope you were able to have some relaxation time this weekend and that the whole weekend wasn't full of work (children, old house, new house etc).

Meg, I've been wondering about Missy to. Hopefully her silence is because she's caught up doing other fun things and/or away from a computer. I sent an email to Missy this evening. Haven't heard back so far. Will let you guys know if I hear anything.

Cindy, I hope little Charlotte is starting to feel less sleepy at meal times. It's a tough time trying to keep them awake to feed. I really remember that phase with Gus as though it were only yesterday. Hope you are getting some sleep and that your DH was able to help out lots over the weekend. Will he be able to take some time off work this week to?

Melissa, I've been thinking about you and sending you loads of positive healthy vibes. Hope your CT scan brings happy news and that you can get in to see your specialist asap so you don't have the worry of the unknown hanging over you for long. xx Big hugs xx

Hi Rachael, Linda, Missy, and everyone else. Hope you are all having a great weekend!

I'm feeling much better this evening - still a little achey and crampy but much improved from yesterday. We had a really nice day today. We spent the morning at Lollipop, a kids play gym. I thought Gus was going to explode he was soooooo deleriously excited. He literally ran wild for over 2 hours. There was a Little Tikes ride in car there which he completely monopolised once he got a bit tired from all the sliding, climbing, jumping and ball pit playing. Think I'll have to try to hire one of the little cars from the toy library. We've got so much plastic in our house these days that I don't think I can handle another big thing unless I'm sure it's more than a passing phase. Gus was soooo tired after all the activity that he slept almost four hours this afternoon. Soooo nice for DH and I as he normally only sleeps for 2 or 21/2 if we're lucky. We had a great time together without him. Think we'll have to make the play gym a regular Sunday morning thing so we get mummy and daddy time in the afternoon. It was so nice, we spent the afternoon curled up together enjoying the sensational weather, listening to music and chatting. Ahhhh soo needed after our tough week. Can't wait for my body to sort itself out so I can get back to BDing he he. That would have made the afternoon even better. LOL

I've decided I'm going to start to pay more attention to my health and fitness. I have let things slide quite a bit over the past few months. Really since Gussy started on his nasogastric feeds and my whole nighttime sleep became a bit non-existent. I still very much feel like I'm mothering a newborn in the sense that my sleep is soooo broken due to the kangaroo pump Gussy's hooked up to. It still alarms or he gets tangled in it or vomits or the the tubing needs flushing or the forumla replacing so I'm having to get up to him at least 8 times a night which means there's still no real chance for good long unbroken sleeps. But as he's not looking like eating anytime soon, this seems to be the way things are going to remain for a loooong while yet. I better get used to it and start to pull myself together a bit more. Tiredness is such an easy excuse not to get out and exercise or eat properly, but those things would probably actually make me feel a whole lot better. This miscarriage has made me think about a few things. Whilst I realise that I didn't do anything to "cause" it, I was probably not in the best shape for pregnancy (mentally or physically), so I'm going to work on changing that over the next couple of months before trying to get back on the proverbial horse. Aghhh this is turning into a HUGE post. Talk about blabber mouth. I'm probably typing this out in an effort to convince myself that I mean to commit to this...he he.

    Hi!

Thanks guys...Hopefully I'll feel better after my dr appointment tomorrow...even just to hear Dylans heartbeat will be great as he's definitely slowed up a lot in there and I'm only feeling him a few times in a day now...

Trace - Yeah on the sleep in and showing off Jordan! hehe. I'm glad he didn't hurt himself badly...mmmhhh choccy muffins...I have to hurry up and finish our easter eggs before dylan arrives cos there's no choccy after that until I get back to my pre p/g weight! hehe.

Kirsty - Good for you!! It can be hard to start with but I'm sure you'll feel great for eating well and getting in some exercise HOWEVER don't be too hard on yourself. You are so much on demand at the moment and with not much sleep you don't want to overdo it. I don't blame you for letting it all slide when you've got sooo much to do. I think you're a supermum for sure!!
Glad your feeling a bit better. You're afternoon with dh sounds like just what the dr ordered! Sounds like a great idea going to the play centre!

Well, going to watch some rove in a bit and then another early night!! Chat with you all tomorrow!
Thanks for listening to my whingeing as well...I'm know I'm pretty good at it at the moment! LOL!

Kirsty- sounds like your arvo with dh was exactly what you needed! sounds like you got a chance to do some thinking, you sound so motivating! Gus is a very lucky boy to have you as his mum you do such an amazing job with all of his needs!

Nikki- woohoo on the car! did you trade yours in? Alo wasasking how grant went with all the crap with the other one??

Tracey- poor jordan and his accidents! hows the baby making going?

Well al is back at work today so the fun starts now. I think my biggest problem is going to be keeping toris kisses for her sister under control! i went to the kitchen for a minute this morning and charlotte had peanut butter kiss marks all over her head!
So far charlotte seems like a better sleeper than tori was and the nurse weighed her yesterday and coz my milk came in so fast she has only lost 20gms!!

Kristie - hope to not see you in here & that you are off having Dylan instead!

Hi to everyone else. Sorry have been a bit MIA of late, been pretty busy.

We got our new Mac yesterday, I'm in love. Now I am just waiting on my new monitor to go with it.

Cindy your girls sound gorgeous! I guess you can rule out peanut allergies for now!

Kirtsy, good luck! I hope things go well. I am going to try hard to get back to the gyn this week. I had been going 3 times a week, but then owrk schedule all this out of hours stuff, so there went my gym time.

This week there is a lot less so I will have to be good. Not tonight though, off to visit Danni & Junior

Missy - I hope we hear from you soon, thinking of you.

Tracey, Jordan will be running before you know it! Heh heh...the fun starts now!

Nikki - After last season's BB I thought they would have taken it off air. Wonder what sort of house mates they are getting this season, they'd have to be more strict on the content than last year wouldn't they?

Kristy - Still don't know the results of the CT. Probably won't find out til I get an app for the specialist in Brisbane. I'm still very eager to find out what's going on. Been running senarios through my head on all the possibilities. I really need to find something to get this off my mind for a while.

Kristie - I hope everything is going well, and that the signs of slowing movements in Dylan, means he's just about ready to come out.

    Hi!

Thanks everyone!! A very uneventful appt...Good news is my bp is fine and bubba seems to have had a growth spurt as my tummy is measuring 37cm! Bubbas head is still not in my pelvis though...she thinks that he may be bobbing down in there when I'm sitting and walking though and thats whats giving me the bh.
She seems to think she'll be seeing me next Monday though...grrr.

Kirsty - What a great start!! Good on you!

Cindy - I'm so glad you guys are going so well!!! LOL on the peanut butter kisses! She's certainly a very affectionate little girl! Thats great she's only lost a little weight! Wow - you're so brave being on your own so quick! I'm sure you'll do great though! You always seem to have everything under control!! Let me know if you need anything though - I'm sure you've probably had enough visitors to last a lifetime but just give us a yell and I'll pop over, or pick up some shopping for you...It only take 20 ish minutes to head over!

Rachael - Hope work settles down for you soon! You sound like you've been doing really well with the gym though!!! Ooh let us know how Danni & Junior are going!!! How's Milo going?

Nikki - Yeah, I'll be watching BB - especially with a newborn to bf! hehehe. Don't think I'll get into tipping though....
How are you guys going with the houses??

Melissa - I think they just removed the adults only stuff last year...I suppose it's hard for them to keep it interesting without being too controversial??
I don't blame you for wanting some kind of answer to whats happening..the waiting is always the hardest!
    How's Benjamin going?

Chat later...I think I'll be settling in for an exciting arvo of t.v....dr phil...catch up...days of our lives...omg my life is sooo exciting..I'm waiting for some more dvds from bigpond so at least I can watch something better! hehe. Very tragic....

    Hi all

Well Im so sorry I havent been on in a while but as I told you Callum was in hospital.

It all started 2 weeks ago on a Sunday when Melissa was playing soccer she fell back and landed on her hand. So off to the childrens hospital we went. 5hr waiting and xrays they said she might have fractured her rist but it was hard to tell as it usually doesnt show up in any xray so they put it in a half cast just incase. Sunday night go her all settled and in bed by 9pm.

All was good until 1am Monday when Callum woke up crying, He was burning up. Temp was 38 so put him in bed with up and gave him a dose of panadol. Very restless night. He woke again at 4am and the same thing was happening. He had a temp of 38.2 and very upset. I thought it might have been his teeth. Woke again at 6am so up we got. DH didnt go to work as I was at the hospital with Melissa the day before and thought I might need a hand with Callum as he was up most of the night.

Well of to the Doc with DH and Callum. Doc took temp and it was 38.6 and checked his ears and throat and said all was fine. Just told up to keep an eye out for a rash. By now he wasnt drinking anything, water, bottle, duice nothing. I told dh im not waiting for a rash im taking him straight to the hospital. So arrived there at 11.30am and poor little Callum was so ill. Took about 20 mins for us to get in, wasnt to bad but the doc said his temp it high and he was starting to get dehidrated so she told us to try and get him to drink. But of cause he wouldnt, didnt evern want a water ice block. All he did was sleep on DH shoulder. So Doc came and told us they needed to take some bloods. I cried and cried. Dh went in with him as I was to upset. They tried to put the drip in his arm but they wouldnt get it in so they had to change arms. I stood outside the door but I think that made it worse as he was screaming and I ended up just going in and he was saying " mama mama" I tried so hard not to cry but just stayed where he could see me. They got the drip in and took bloods. So now we had to wait. They said it would take 2 hrs.

In the meantime we were told to cry to get him to wee in a cup as they needed a sample. Well we wasnt weeing and after 1 hr said they were going to put a caffiter (not sure how to spell it ) in but my DH had gone for abit of a break so I was left alone. I had to be strong but wasnt. Callum screamed again, I cried again and in the end his little bladder was empty and so that didnt work. I felt so sorry for my bubba and felt usless. So by the time he had to wee, he did but screamed as it hurt to wee. This went on for 4 hrs as he would cry when he weed.

Doc's came back with it be bacterial and they were talking spinal tape. I almost lost it. I couldnt believe my little boy was so happy the day before and now was going to have to go through that. His temp by now was going up as the panadol was not working. So 1hr after giving the pan they also gave him nurofen to get the temp down. It worked as it was not 39. All he did was sleep.

10.30 pm that night they said we would get a bed for him soon. Dh went home and I stayed. 3am we finally got a bed. So up to the ward we went. By 4am I finally got to go to sleep but was up again at 6am as his temp went up. The docs came and told me that it was bacterial it was viral and would probably be his toncels. I was starting to get ****ed off...as no one was really sure what was going on. So Monday was a long day and he was still getting the high temps and all he was doing was sleeping. Monday night doc came and told me he thought he would be able to go home on Tuesday. The clamped the drip and told me to offer water or bottles. He took one sip and I thought great he will drink but by tuesday afternoon when the doc said I could go home he wasnt drinking again and the doc said I had to try to get him to. Well you can only do so much to get your baby to drink. He just didnt want it. I told the doc im not going home if he isnt drinking so the doc said ok stay another night. Well Tuesday night at 11pm I woke up to the nurse pulling on my arm saying she is calling the doc as his temp was 39.6 and his heart beat was rasing. OH MY GOD I called my DH and was crying as Callum just was laying there in just a nappy and singlet very pink and flushed and breathing so heavy. All I was thinking was " im going to loose him" I couldnt help it. The doc came and told me that they will do more bloods and that he needed the drip to be put back on as he was dehidrated again. So they put the dip back on and I think they did more test I cant remember as I was such a mess. The rest of the night he slept. He Woke up Wednesday morning so different. He wanted to eat and drink. [email protected] me and was a totally different kid. I huged him and kissed him so much. The doc came and told me it was viral and there was nothing they could give him. They sent us home Wednesday night and of cause when we got home he got another temp of 38.4 but that was the last one. Thank God!!

Thursday they sent out a nurse to check on him and she was happy enough athough he wasnt drinking the most but as long as he was she was happy. So thats what was happening with me. Friday just tried to keep him quiet and take care of him and the weekend dh looked after him for me so I could rest. Monday packed as I wanted to get away for abit so packed for mums house up the central coast and went up there Tuesday after taking Melissa back to the hospital to get her arm checked. All was ok and she is fine and happy as she can play soccer again.

I just got back from mums today and thought opps you ladies were worried and im sorry for not letting you know what was happening. Im sorry.
Thanks so much for your concerns. xxxxxxxxx
I just hope I never have to see my baby go through anything like that again!!!!

    Hi!

Oh Missy you poor thing!! What an ordeal. I can't imagine how scary that must have been for you. I've just had tears reading...I'm sooo glad everything is ok with your little Callum! Sounds like it was a great idea to get away and have some time out! Geez, I can't believe it happened after spending time in the hospital with Melissa as well - glad her hands better as well...
    Big big hugs!
