Hi all... Just a quickie, need to go and pick up DS from a sleepover party. Man it's so hot here. Bella is in the "arctic" bedroom - LOL, she still needs to be swaddled for her sleeps so I have the temp at near freezing so she can be rugged up. I dipped her toes in the pool again before and might attempt to get her in there this afternoon - she has freaked each time I try to get her in.

Kerry - Oh how good are the ear thermo's. DF nearly had a fit when I sent him off to pay for it at the chemist ROTFL.

captain - I left the needles so late that the next lot are due in about 6 weeks - will have to get myself phsyched up for that.

    gotta run, baby crying

    Hi everyone,

Niamh, I am fine!!!! I am of to see a specialist on Tuesday to see what is going to be done about the lumps???? Hope things work out re you living situation sometime soon.
Glad Eireann is doing so well, i imagine you are enjoying buying girly things.

Mummatwo hi, long time no see. I hear you on loads of activities we are out every morning and busier next year with kinder for DS. Nath is doing great, my little chubba is not far behind weight wise.

Candy, I feel the same about my weightreally need to get it under contol hate the fat feeling!!!! i weighed myself the other day and have manged to put on 2 kilos???? i guess it's all the junk I have been getting into lately, I am thinking I might do lite and easy for a couple of months....Great when the babies start sleeping through, Poppy has been for a couple of weeks, I keep holding my breath thinking it's going to change anyday

NatB nice to see you, sorry to hear bout all the unheaval in your life, glad both your gorgeous girls are doing so well.

Kerry, I am going next week to get Poppy's immunisations done, I have them done in the evening then they sleep through the worst of it!!! Well it's worked with the others, so fingers crossed. Matthew is doing great, glad your DP sounds like he is coming around, do you think co-habitating could be on the cards????

Nic, swimming pool sounds fantastic, I am sure as the weather gets hotter and Bella gets older she will start to love the water. Poppy still hates the bath, so I am sure she would freak out as well. i think it's more about she does'nt like the feeling of not being secure...she loves beng wrapped and in the pouch, and wakes herself all the time if she is'nt, very over the top startle relflex

Captain only a little bit longer to wait before Ashlyn starts sleeping through, they say 70% of babies sleep through at 4 months that is 8-10hours so even is she does'nt go that long I am sure she will go longer than she is now.

Hi to all the girls I missed hope you are all going okay

Had Poppy weighed yesterday she is 5.7kgs and is 59.5cm long and head is 39cm, chubby but looks in proportion, she issleeping really well, we try to do last feed at around 8.30ish then to bed around 9.30 she was sleeping to 3.00am but has extended to 5.30 then the last 2 nights to 6.30am she really is my dream baby, the others were much older before they would sleep through. She is starting to really conect with the other kids, today she was staring at Gabe and when he looked at her she gave him the best smiles, he is so proud of his baby sister, he tells everyone that will listen how cute she is... Sophie loves her heaps as well, but wants to squeeze her at every opportunity, I know the feeling I could bear hug her as well and spend my life kissing her at every opportunity.
Anyway off to try and catch up with some other girlies on here.

Just added some photos of the three little kidlets, that were taken last weekend.

Well today I'm sure someone has swapped my baby! She's been sleeping all day . She's had three good naps and only took half an hour of sitting with my hand on her tummy to fall asleep tonight.I'm quietly hoping that we have a good sleep tonight. She seems so happy!! (Me too!)

Pam, 10 hrs sleep sounds magical. I know we'll get there because Danielle was the worst sleeper in the world and I did manage to get her to sleep through at 7 months. You sound like you're totally in love with Poppy, man it's such an amazing feeling!!!

Sue, I do the same thing with making the room cold so I can rug Ashlyn up. I love making her feel or cosy for bed.

Ashlyn is really growing, she takes after her Daddy. Last weigh in at 9 wks she was 6.2kg, which puts her over the top line on the chart. I think people are suprised when I say she is fully bf. She's 58cm long, so is quiet chubby. So cute. I've been trying to guess what colour her eyes are and I think they may stay blue. Danielle's were so dark right from the beginning we never doubted they would be brown. Will be fun to find out.

    Hope everyone is doing well!

I've been reading about all your bubs so I thought I would add some more information about Emme.
She's been holding her head up from the start, even in hospital the nurses were mentioning to me that she was always trying to hold her head up and look at everything. She's got an amazing grip on her and has been grabbing onto my hands, and handfuls of my hair, to keep me where she wants me.
She loves her bath, and the water in general, and is always kicking her feet madly and splashing with her hands. She's been in her big bath stand for around 3 weeks now and loves the freedom it gives her to kick more. I even took her down to the local pools for a dip last weekend, and she loved it, not one cry out of her. Bella was just the same, so they have lots of traits in common. She uses her bum to wriggle up and down, but I don't know' if she is doing this purposefully yet it just happens, but it means she's got alot of strength in those legs of hers.
Oh and she loves her dummy. For those of you with reflux bubs, one of the recommendations the doctors gave me was to get a dummy for her as it soothes babies with reflux. Apparently reflux bubs still give out 'sucking indicators', eg : turning towards you with mouth open. This happens even when they're full so you can overfeed them and increase the reflux & amount of feed coming back up. By giving them a dummy it satisfies their sucking urges, soothing them.
Bella has decided that Emme is her doll, which can be a bit scary especially when she decides she wants to take her somewhere. I always have to keep my eyes on them, especially as Bella is at that 2 yr old stage of "Go away!" and "No!" to everything.
Emme is almost sleeping all the way through the night now, and only wakes up for a feed if someone else disturbs her, so I am very lucky!
I've been seeing a bit more of their father since Emme's birth, and he helped me out alot through all the dramas I've had. I don't know if anything will come of it, or if he even wants anything to come out of it as we have been seperated for over 9 months now but I think I'm going to take each day slowly and see what comes. I'm a really big believer in not inviting drama into my life anymore as I think I've had my fill for the next year or 2!
Anyway I'm smelling a very full (and maybe explosive ) nappy is about to need changing so I'll love you and leave you for now.
    All our love,
    Natalie, Bella, and Emme!
P.S: Kell if you are reading this - the best of luck from me & my girls. May your special day be filled with love, laughter and memories for your family to cherish for a lifetime.

Kerry - ooooh thanks for the news, I am soooooo excited. I am going to skip off to the thread..

Nat - I so hope that you can possibly work things out together matey.

Mmmmwwwaaawww, I got Arabella's picture taken with santa at Myer today, it's in the gallery now. She just woke up as I was walking past so thought I would quickly plonk her on his lap - she looks so tiny in his arms LOL...
We got a massive storm this afternoon and thankgod my new car was under cover at a car park cause I didn't even know it was about to storm.

Gotta run and get some paperwork done and try to clean up a little. Bella has set up a nice little routine for night time now, she goes down at about 7pm and sleeps til around 1 - 3 am and has a quick feed and sleeps again til 6am. We then get up and she plays under her gym for about half an hour and then heads back for a sleep again. I feel so lucky..

Last week, I started bringing Matthew to bed with me and feeding him during the night in bed. Now he's turning up his nose at the bottle during the day and I'm having trouble getting him to sleep at night unless it's with me! Cheeky monkey. He gives me the biggest smiles when he wakes in the morning and is even smiling in his sleep. Very cute but I'll have to try getting him back into his bassinet at night or move him to the cot. I've also noticed the back of his head is quite flat so I'm trying to put him to sleep on his side all the time now. I wonder how long it will take to reshape his head? Any advice?

Yes, it's lovely news about Ang! Wish Matthew was sleeping as well as Arabella. How cute about the Santa picture! Love to get one like that with Matthew.

Nat, Emme sounds so gorgeous! Love to see a picture of her in the big bath stand. I'm going to have to look for something for Matthew, he really is getting too big for his bath tub. Good to hear that Emme and Bella's father has been able to help you through some dramas. Wise to take things slowly though. I'm the same with Matthew's father. We'll get through this time somehow.

Good luck for tomorrow at the specialist's, Pam!! Never thought to have the immunisations done in the evening (not that that would have been an option for this lot out here but something to consider for the four month ones as we should be living on the coast by then). Good idea!

Captain, hope the good sleeping pattern continues!

    Good morning

I've just had the craziest, busiest week. And can't rest today because I stupidly booked a tupperware party (well there are things I really need). Sleep still hasn't been great but we're plodding along.
Otherwise Ashlyn is a very happy bub. Lots of smiles and laughs and she is really talkative. We have lots of 'converstations.' It's so cute. Yesterday she said something in her baby talk and then laughed like she had just told a joke! Just melts my heart. She can roll from her back to side, but only when she's lying next to me looking for food, LOL.

Niamh, yay on the new house, it will be such a relief for you to get away from them. Hope Eireann doesn't get the chicken poxs.

NaeNae, hello, the nursery looks great.

Pam, how did Poppy recover from her jabs?

Candy, has the milk stopped yet? I was just talking to a friend who's going through the same thing. So far it's been 5wks and she still got some coming. Can't win, it's not there when you want it, doesn't go away when you don't need it.

Lee, I'm definately clucky for one more. I think I might have some trouble talking DH around though, because we will need a bigger house and probably car too.

Kell, the wedding photos look fantastic. Looks like it was a beautiful day.

Hi to everyone I've missed. Looks like Ashlyn doesn't want to sleep again and I've still got to tidy the whole house, argh!

    Hi girls,
Captain, I had to laugh Ashlyn can roll onto her side, but only when looking for food!! I love that she is laughing and your interaction with her, sounds so cute. Poppy can't laugh yet, lately she is'nt smiling as much???Maybe she is just bored with me, because when dad gets home, all is good?? She locks eyes with him and smiles and watches everything he does. Jabs have'nt been good, she was okay for the first 2 days, but has had a funny tummy, lots of pop offs, some mild vomiting and awful poo. Effects of the rotavirus.....
Hope you get loads of tupperwareorders and get all those things that you need

Niamh, glad things are starting to sort out on the rental front..They have a cheek to want you guys to get the place all cleaned up, good on you for standing up for yourself.PND, nope, just cheesed off!!!

See you on the 3rd Nae....

Waves to all you girls, hope you are having a great weekend.

Hi girls, just a quick one to say I'm still here. I am just so busy and pooped off with df and the kids atm. They are just lazy, ungreatfull sods. Won't go into it....
So annoyed, some more....LOL... my washing machine crapped itself this morning so I went and bought a washer dryer combo to save space and unpacked it and set it up only to find it's broken - agggghhhhhh, it was the last friggin one and the service centre said it will have to be ordered in, WTF and I going to do in the mean time .
I just about have christmas presents sorted out before the kids hol's start, not that the brats deserve anything the way they are behaving lately.
Arabella is getting soooo cute. She now weighs just under 5.5kg's and I feel every bit of it when she wants to be clingy. I finally got her in the pool and she loves it so we swim every afternoon now. It tires her out, yyeeeeeehaaaa. She is starting to cackle a bit too and has an enormous smile for anyone that wants to look at her.

Gotta run and clean the damned mess in the kitchen that the kids left for me - gosh I'm a whinger aren't I????

    Hope everyone is ok. xx

Welcome Lachiesmum, sorry to hear you had PND but how great you've worked through it. I had it with my 1st & wow it's hard.

Nicambhar, hope they get a replacement washer for you soon

Blackduckies, Madeleine didn't like the bath when she was younger, the CHN told me to put a cloth nappy or washer on her chest to keep her warm, after a few days she didn't mind it & now well I can barely get her out... & heaven forbid I don't give her a bath one day

Niahm, congrats on the getting a new place

Captain, had to laugh when you said Ashlyn rolls over for food, so cute. Madeleine to loves to talk, seems all day long, I love it, DH however misses out & isn't happy about it hehe.

In terms of my milk, it's been 1 week today since I've stopped & I have very little milk left. I did the rapid technic, which put me in a bit of discomfort for a few days, as I was walking around with rocks on my chest & expressing when I was lumpy or to full. Seems to have worked a treat. However, my mood ohh my took a turn for the worst & I have been so grumpy for the last few days with the hormonal inbalance I was experiencing.

I feel so much better now tho, I have a load of energy which is really helping my weight loss, not sure if my diet has helped stop my milk. Captain your poor friend 5 weeks.

I said in my last post that Madeleine was on the Karicare AR, it's so great how she;s keeping her meals down. She was constipated from it on the weekend & was in so much pain, after a bit of glycerine shes all better now. The Dr confirmed to leave her on it but to start making her drink water... that hasn't been to easy but we start her bottles with water only then switch to formula after she takes atleast 30 mls, hopefully she'll get used to it & take it soon in between her feeds. I'm sure she'll need it when the hot weather comes.

Better go, Madeleine has woken from her 40min nap, it's great she sleeps through the night but she's up all day wanting entertaining
