was wondering why i hadn't had any updates...duh a new thread!!! i'm giving up trying to do personals for everyone all the time, i will just do a few each time.
jen i was wondering where you were!! hope you get some more sleep. Don't say that about the two kids, we're thinking of TTC number 2 in four months time!! Yikes. Maybe we should wait a bit longer...
liberty had her needles today and did great. she just screamed in her sleep before, hope she's not having a nightmare about them.
Aside from that in the last few weeks she's been whinging heaps and so she's being handed back to me all the time and i'm not having much computer/me time.
yay my fluffy mail showed up. one lot was super awesome condition - never been worn. 2 abby gros and a nappylicious for $30 including express post!! WOW!! The other was not in flash condition but a good chance to try out chloes toes and twinkle-lily fitted. The lady gave me back my postage money as it was supposed to be sent express post and she didn't post it for 2 weeks because she forgot about it and then she only sent it normal - she offered to refund it and when i saw the condition of the nappies I accepted the offer!!
mel sending u lots of big hugs. it must be so, so hard for you to handle 3 by yourself. i find it hard enough to organise one baby let alone 3 children. i hope your days get better really soon!
Packing is going very very slowly, we move on Monday. wait g2g baby awake.
I had 14 months between my first 2. Even though there was BAD days, most of the time it was fun. It is hard to start with but it gets easier the older they get. Now they are a breeze!! They play with eachother, they amuse eachother, they are helpful. Yes they fight and we still have bad days but they are mostly good
Kerry thanks for the birthday wish! I didn't even see the last 2 posts on page 1... DOH!
Gee sounds like a MacDonalds I don't wanna be at. Not overly fond of the place TBH Prefer subway lol That is great that Matthew is sleeping through! Gee can you get him to phone Ash and teach him!
Mumma22 I am so jealous!! I wanna be in HK lol I wanna go to DL... I WANT I WANT I WANT! hehe They love white babies over there. Especially blonde ones! And ones that smile lol Glad your having a good time!
Sorry about whinging about Dave. Sometimes I just don't know who to whinge too, all my friends are probably sick of hearing it, my mum just rants and it annoys me, and I am one who can't bottle it up... drives me up the wall! Tonight he has spent it txting me crap, saying he is taking me to court and i am an evil person because i wont let him in my house after the aggression he showed the other day PFT to him. Can't wait to move outta here. Gonna talk to the boys dad about moving to Vic so fingers crossed!
Ashton is being a cranky pants! Today he fed fed fed fed and fed. He isn't well either which isn't helping but I need to pump a bottle!! I have swimming tomorrow and am stressing out cos I accidentally left the milk I pumped... a WHOLE BOTTLES worth, on the table this morning and went out! Needless to say when I discovered it tonight it had been out for about 8 hours What a waste!!
I was wonder why I had seen any posts... oops new thread.
Hope everyone is well, from what I can see men, sleep & whinging has been testing you all lately it's kind of a sucky time this but it will get easier soon
Madeleine too has been complaining all day long, its driving me bonkers, her problem is more wanting to be held all the time, but we are renovating the house so really can't. She starts childcare in 3 mths, so that will be interesting.
Madeleine had her follow up at the doctors for her cough & he told me nothing could be done, so I got a second opinion from my CHN & well lets say shes so much better now, although whilst treating her I had to hold her upside down by her hip & bang at her ribs... freaked me right out.
Lauren, how great I would definately say have them close together. There is 9yrs diff between my two and that's nice but when they are older they will be completely diff. I wish I could have had them closer but I'm trying to convince DH to rush in a 3rd so I don't have 2 only children if you know what I mean.
Jo, I gave up the zantac with madeleine at 4.5mths, I found she wasn't screaming in pain anymore so thought I would stop & she has been fine since.
Missy, Sorry to hear, being a single mum is so hard I see my mum go through it with the girls & I think you are so strong to do what you do.
Hi girls, sorry long time no post this kinder year is going to kill me!!!! I am tired by the start of the week by the end of the week just shoot me. Today DH got home late, and then was going out to do some work......I just burst into tears, needless to say he decided maybe staying in was a good idea. I desperatly need some me time, some family time away, someone to come and stay here... I don't know, something different.
AND TEA TONIGHT IS NOTHING , NO_ONE KNOWS THIS YET!!! GUESS THAT'S WHY TAKEAWAY WAS INVENTED.
Sue, sorry you are having such a hard time. A support group sounds like a great idea, maybe you have to make the time. I find that I waste a lot of time, I think I need to sit an write a plan for my day, at the moment it feels like I am wasteing my life. I hope it does'nt feel like that when my number is up???? Th edays are flying by and I get nothing acheived, welll a bit older, that's it. Not a great feeling. I am still wrapping Poppy, if I don't she flings her arms arou8nd and gets really upset, when I wrap her she smiles and goes straight to sleep, not sure how long I should do it for though.
Kerry, happy that you are having a good time. Must be really nice to have that support from your mum.
Lauren, TTC when you decided you would, I'm not sure there is a perfect time.
Mummatwo, it is so hard to get on here, sometimes I wonder if I should take a break and try to catch up on my life!!! Whatever that means.... I find it stresses me out when I get on here, cause there are so many places I want to go and people who I really should catch up with, but i rarely seem to get there now, gee I hope they understand!!!
Missymoo, tough gig...Men!!!! Hopefully you raise your boys to be more considerate, I am trying to get Gabe used to being hen pecked now not that he has much of a chance with all sisters.
Hi to everyone who I missed< ithink I'II take Laurens approach.
MMMMWWWAAAHHH Luv ya all though
Hello everyone!! This have been really crazy around here, been under a bit of stress but things look like they are working out. But I'll probably still be going back to work as well as helping Dh run the business so I may be on here less and less as time goes on.
Ashlyn has been sleeping pretty well. She went from waking every 1 - 3 hrs to suddenly sleeping through. Though last night she was back to her old tricks. Hopefully she's back to sleeping tonight.
Pam, I hear you, sometimes the thought of cooking at the end of the day is just too much. We ended up eating out tonight. I don't know how you do it with older children as well.
CJ, Glad Madeleine is feeling better. That must have been scarey having to hold her like that.
Mel, Happy Birthday, sorry I'm so late with it. Sounds like you've done the right thing ending it with Dave, you've given him enough chances. How does Ashton like his swimming lessons?
Lauren, don't think there is a perfect time when TTC, 3 years apart is hard as well because there is no chance for rests during the day.
Jen, wow nathan is crawling. That's got to be fun. Does he go far or is he still getting the hang of it?
Hello to everyone I've missed! Hope you are all well.
Hi everyone,
Hope everyone is coping well.
Emme had her 6 month needles on Tuesday and she was an absolute angel. I swear she does not feel pain as she only ever gives one tiny cry and stops the second I pick her up. Anyway I had her flu vac done at the same time rather than drag it out by having it done another time ( apparently this flu is going to be a killer one so all 6 month to 4 yr olds are free) and as the doctor was busy the nurse had to do them seperately. So after the 1st one she looked at us as if to say "When are you doing it?", same with the flu vac on the other leg, then as usual it was only 1 two second cry with the 3rd injection which was the one the nurse said had the 'stingy' vac. I am such a lucky mum, as I was expecting my kids to be like my nephews and nieces who freaked out over injections.
Anyway I'm going to enrol Bella in daycare for 1 or 2 days a week to get her ready for kindy next year (already ) and I might think about doing a few hours of work later on in the year as I will need a bit more money with the way rents are.
I'm also looking for a good area for Bella to go to kindy in next year, so I will probably be moving again later on in the year but after that will hope to stay on long term.
Mel - Hey Happy BDay to you too! It must be us Piceans who always leave our hearts on our sleeves! I so feel for you honey. After the dramas I've been going through with my ex, he had me convinced that maybe he had changed his tune, but he said something the other day that has made me start doubting him again. It was refering to one of the items we bought when we were together (which I have) as his. When I corrected him and said no it's 'ours', he said "Don't even get me started on that". Which has got me thinking he's still not changed one bit.
What's even worse is that I have had to start from scratch again buying a microwave, Tv, even lounge & bed sheets, while he still has all the ones which we bought when we were together. I am thinking the only way we could ever reconcile is if I request that we go to counselling, and that he mades a real effort.
Anyway enough of my woes. tommorrow is another day.
All our best wishes.
Natalie, Bella & Emme
Captian, oh he is getting around just fine! He crawls all over the house, he does the comando crawl. I still consider that crawling as blake did that from 4 months till about 10 months and then 3 months later he started walking.
N is due for his 6 months shots today - i think i will be skipping this appointment!
Candy Jay I am glad Mad is better!! How horrible having to hold her upside down
Pam I feel your pain with Kinda. Today I cancelled Kinda. Jaidan goes for 4 half days, from 8.50am till 12.30. I have to be up at 6 to get all the kids ready to go as it's a half hour walk, all uphill from here. So 2 hours of walking a day, 4 days a week... My monday night I am buggered and Tuesday I have to drag myself out of bed. I am sick atm though, and yesterday I had 2 asthma attacks walking Jaidan in the cold rain so today I told him mummy was too sick Felt bad but I really couldn't deal with it today, I feel so crap!
Captain I am jealous!! Ash still wakes at 12, then 3 then 5 then 6.30-7. Enjoy the sleeping through lol Both the other boys were sleeping through by now but not Ash, they were also bottle fed by now too so maybe that's why? Ash isn't doing swimming lessons, Jaidan is. I am supposed to take him but can't take Ash as it's one adult per child so was supposed to leave him with mum. But he ended up in hospital Wed night so I didn't take Jaidan to swimming, was too worried about leaving him.
Gosh Nat what a good little miss you have!! I hope Ash is so brave with his 6 month needles!! I might get him the flu shot too if it's gonna be bad, and Chase while I am at it. Hope Bella goes well at daycare I have Jaidan in one day a week and Chase in 2 days a week at Family Day Care. It is so much cheaper and the carer is lovely, she only has 2 others on the days the boys are in so that is good Lots of one on one time. They love it too!
Well while I was typing this Ashton did a new trick!! He was on his back, he rolled to his tummy, then SAT UP! He has been trying for about the last 4 weeks and HE DID IT OMGOMG lol I am so excited. He is growing up too fast He is into EVERYTHING now he is crawling... I can't even sit here for 5 minutes without having to remove him from somewhere or take something off him haha he likes to eat paper...
OMG I felt so bad last night. Ashton sleeps with me, and on his side of the bed is one of those bed rails, the ones that sit on top of the mattress. I got up in the middle of the night and for some reason I got back into bed on that side. Well I woke up to a thump and a cry OMG HE FELL OUT THE BED!! I was so upset He only cried for a minute then went back to sleep. Lucky I have 6 pillows but only sleep with 2 so there was a big pile of pillows on the floor that he landed on but still! I can't believe i got in on his side... I have NO idea why, I don't even remember doing it
Morning all. Just poking my head in here between trying to get some work done . Bella's teeth surely aren't that far off now, she has a really big red lump on her gum. I got her photos back, oooh, they are so cute, now to find somewhere to hang them .
I have been super busy organising DS's speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychologist appointments and also his new school. So very tiring cause I have no support from my family or even ds' dad. My mum keeps telling me that he hasn't got Asperger's and that he is just daft *sighs* and XH only cares about me paying for an expensive school so that it fits their image. I did have a bit of a cry yesterday, we went for the first appointment with the OT and she said I had to stay for it, but I had Bella cause I don't have anyone to look after her, then the cheek of the OT to tell me that they provide child care at extra cost....WTF, I am already paying $140 and hour for her and then $110 for psych and they think he needs this on a weekly basis ...aaaah sorry for the me me me post, but I was having some really scary thoughs last night.
Kerry - hope yr enjoying the holiday.
MM - your little one is just amazing. Bella is only just starting to roll around the floor now. I think she's gonna be like her daddy, ordering everyone around to get things for her while she sits back PML...
Pam - Yeah, I think that I need to join the special needs support here on BB, I'm just so overwhelmed atm. You so sound like me atm, I can see my life just being wasted right now. By the time I get to 50 ( that's if I make it lol ) I am going to have some huge regrets. I am not motivated enough to make changes right now.
Nat - How I wish Bella would take the jabs a bit easier, she screams like there's no tomorrow, prolly part of the reason that I put off having the needles for at least a month each time they come round.
Captain - So glad to hear that Ashlyn has starting sleeping better. Bella has an off night here or there, but she isn't sleeping right through the night at all. Still stirs and needs a feed at around 2am. The little poo goes to bed at about 6pm but takes a few hours of stirring to get into a real deep sleep - think she waits for me to come to bed and then has a good sleep.
sorry if i missed anyone, gotta run to sooky lala..
hi everyone, well the big move is tomorrow and the house isn't even finished being packed up yet. I think Liberty is cutting back on her sleeps, how many sleeps does your baby have?
I have had a really good week generosity wise, a few people have given me or sold me really, really cheap mcns just so I have enough so I don't have to wash twice a day. Just in time too as mum's not keen on me using my flats in her washing machine (they do leave a bit of lint about).
Nicambhar - i like reading people's me posts, so don't feel bad if you need to vent, i'm glad you trust us enough to vent to us. i think most of us would implode if it weren't for me-posts!! hope things work out with your son soon. I was tested for ADD and the works when I was at school but sometimes I really couldn't help but get in trouble as it felt like I just HAD to do it. I couldn't stand not doing some things that came into my head. Hard to explain. Obviously I've grown out of a lot of this and I hope your son does too. We're good ideas people, good at starting new projects and we don't often get bored!!
Mel - I hope you feel better, Liberty like to eat catalogues, chew cardboard boxes, etc. To stop her from doing this, my latest trick is to distract her with plastic ladles, she loves them.
Did you go to your appt Jen?
Natalie - fingers crossed when you get your k-rudd money you can afford ur tv, microwave, lounge and bed sheets and start afresh!! we've had secondhand stuff for years. ask around with friends, you never know who will have things that they want to get rid of. everything except our bed, sheets and undies is secondhand or given to us, oh and some of brett's clothes as its hard to buy men's clothes secondhand (most men hold onto their clothes forever). it's hard not having much money but its amazing what you can get by with!!
Just sitting here pumping and thought I'd better check in.
Lauren- Good luck with the move hun. I hope it goes smoothly and you can meet up with Sue when you are settled in Brissy.
Sue- I'm sorry you are having todeal with al this without the support of DS dad plus it being so expensive. Big hugs to you.
Mel- How's Ashton feeling after your trip to hossy, that would have been scary. Is he off his food now? Thanks for replying to my liner quest. I've been reading the cloth nappy thread...man I don't know half of what you girls are talking about! I'll pop in there soon and introduce myself. I'm really getting into the cloth. I've got a green kids pink cam one on its way and some other brands to try!
Nat- Good to see you here, yay Emme doing well with her needles. Em has hers tomorrow.
Captain- how is Ashlyns sleeping going?
Pam- hugs to you too! Def check out BLS its working really well for us.
CJ- wow to holding her upside down but at least it worked!!!
Kerry-I hope you are having a good time. We had Narelle and Maurice and the kids here last weekend. It was so nice to see them. The kids are getting so big! We might get to meet you soon. Nel said Kearly's birthday will be down there and she wants us to come.
Hi to anyone I missed.
Emily isn't quite in her cot yet, the bassinette is in the cot and she sleeps there, except for at night she is still in our room. Its too hard!!!!!!! Our car is still out of action and I'm feeling very house bound. It should be ready tomorrow or Tues.
I'm still pumping too. Everytime i think about stopping I get sad so I don't think I'm ready yet. I've been doing it for 6 months now!!!
EEJ that's great Once you start with cloth it is addictive. I have enough nappies to do a child care centre for a full day I swear lol It's rediculous. Trying to save up now to move so am attempting to stop buying... it's hard though. . . SOOOO many cute nappies!
Good on you for pumping! I have been trying so hard, at the moment I am on fenugreek to try and up my supply, doesn't seem to be having a HUGE difference but i'll give it a week Hope you get your car back soon! I don't drive so I wouldn't know the luxury lol Its busses and walking here!
Lauren good luck with the move tomorrow! Moving sucks! Last time I moved was with Jaidan who was 2 and Chase who was 1. It sucked big time. Going to have to move again soon too so not looking forward to that, though it will be great to get outta this house and into somewhere bigger. Only in a 2br unit here! Ashton has 4 sleeps during the day. 2 longish ones (2 hours usually) and 2 short ones (1 hour). He then goes to bed at 7pm and wakes between 12-2 for a feed, sometimes goes till 3.
Ashton is better thanks. He did go off his food and I just haven't really started him again. He had some peas and corn tonight which was funny wathcing him put one in, pull a face then shove another one in lol
Well he is now a pro at sitting. And crawling... which means he is into everything. Trying to eat everything. The boys are constantly grabbing things off him saying "no you can't have that you'll choke!" It's cute. Mind you with the sitting comes the falling back and banging the head Then comes the crying...
Today his dad came to visit and he crawled to him. POOEY! I shouldn't be annoyed lol but I wish he would crawl in a hole and leave us alone. yup I am that mean lol He is MY baby.
Wow! Erin, it would be great to meet you and see Emily!! I hope you are able to come down. It is an amazingly small world, really, isn't it! Narelle is just lovely and I adore her parents who live next door. I can't wait to see Ben and Ruby now!
Happy half birthday Ashton! Mel, you sound like you have your hands full! Love the image of the big brothers watching over what Ashton is trying to eat - v.cute.
Lauren, good luck with the move. Hope it goes well for you. My big move will come at the end of the year, maybe early next year, when I leave the central west and head to the coast. I try to avoid thinking about it!
Sue, that OT!! I would have felt like grabbing her by the throat! Insensitive ninny. You're an amazing mum who is doing her best to make sure her son gets the help he needs. Big hugs to you!!
Nat, I hadn't heard about the flu. I'll be asking for the vaccinations for that one too when I get back to Australia. For Matthew and me. Sorry, but your ex sounds like a real worry. Very egocentric. Hope you will be okay - wish I could help out.
Tenille, when do you go back to work? I'm starting to get panic attacks about how I'm going to manage going back to work full time next term. Separation anxiety is already setting in and we haven't even started!
Pam, hope you were able to get a bit of a rest over the weekend. Here in HK, all the westerners seems to have live in "helpers" (what they call nannies) - wouldn't that be amazing! My friend in Discovery Bay had a lovely helper who made us lunch and then played with my friend's baby and Matthew while we ate. Soooo good!
CJ, I'd have freaked out too to have to dole out that treatment. Hope Madeleine is over the whinges soon. I hear you on how wearing it is.
Jen, I'm arranging Matthew to get his immunisations when we get home to Australia. Matthew is also having two to three feeds during the night at the moment. Not sure if there's a growth spurt coming up or if it's because of the teething.
Well Ashlyn has her first tooth!! It came really fast and with only a little bit of grizzling, but now I think there is another one on the way. She actually had a temper tantrum last night which was funny. It was because I wouldn't give her a piece of fish (want give her whole pieces, I'm too paranoid about bones). She got so angry she actually screamed!
Kerry, I'm not offically back until 1st June, but we are just going through whether or not I will have to go back earlier. DH runs a home business and ideally I'll be able to take over the books and not go back to my job, but we'll have to wait and see. I might have to do both if I can get approval. It scares me too, the thought of going back and leaving my babies.
Mel, I love the older brothers being so protective. Danielle is the same and she always seems to repeat things I say, so cute. Glad Ashton is feeling better, I'm sure he'll be back on his food soon.
Lauren, good luck with the move, hope it all goes smoothly. Ashlyn has cut back on her sleeps too. She has 1 1/2hrs in the morning and same in the arvo, though she can go with less if we go out.
Erin, well done on pumping for so long! Hope you get your car soon, I hate been without my car, though at least the shops are walking distance.
Sue, How rude of that OT, what do they think people are made of money!?
Nat, Emme sounds like a brave girl! I've been thinking about getting the flu shots for both the girls.
Well it looks like my time is up, Ashlyn is waking. I'm surprised I got to type this much!!
Captain - Hooray for the tooth. Bella's are still up and down, so I just waiting for one to pop through. Her gums were really sore tonight and I could see the white dots so just that they hurry on through. Arabella loves her food too and chucks huge wobblies if we don't give her what we are having. we have been to sizzler a few times and she loves it.
MM - MCN's are definately addictive, I got 6 Itti Bitti's in the post Monday and got so excited LOL.
Kerry - ugggh, immunisations, we still haven't been for them. Well at least there is a 6 month break between them this time instead of 2. Yeah, so very upset over the OT, I felt like saying "yep no worries, I'll bend over and pluck out another couple of fifties"
eej - I still haven't put Bella in her cot, she is co-sleeping and I put her in the middle of the king size bed with pillows all around her. I am always checking her every 5 minutes and would get much more done when she's asleep if I didnt have to keep looking in on her. She isn't mobile yet, but I'm sure it won't be long.
Lauren - Hope the move is going well and we hear from you soon.
AFM, I have had the worst week ever. DS has just walked out and gone to live with his dad... the reason he gave me was that he didn't like having to be quiet when bella is asleep - remember even though he's 15 he has aspergers. Then the real reason, I think, is that his dad is pushing for him to start at his new school this week but I had him booked to start next term which is only weeks away - still unsure of what the hurry was but anyhows, XH has just filled him up with crap and confused him to the point that he couldn't even talk to my mum. Very sad cause I know that XH and his wife will just ram schooling down his throat and forget about his OT, speech and psych needs. Right now, I have decided I just need space from all 3 of my older children because the shiat that goes back and forth between XH's and my house is all too much.
DF, Bella and I did go on a night away up the coast over the weekend and it was so nice to relax a bit, even though it was very short. Funny, I think that deep down I knew I needed a get away to prepare myself for something bad.
Ok, enough of me raving on. Better run and clean up the kitchen.
Oh Sue I have replied in your other thread but will send more hugs your way.
Kerry I like the idea of a "helper" :-) Can I have one? Can't wait to meet you and Matthew!
Mel- I'm still waiting for my green kids one from buy for baby, what's the best way to contact the seller to check she got my address? I think I sent her a message and I emailed the adress that was on there but haven't heard back yet, I have never used the site before.
Em was good for her shots yest. Cried for only a few seconds. She has been a bit out of sorts today tho, not sure if that's why.
I have bought some amber beads has anyone used them before?
I'm also waiting on a Happy heiny's and a pretty bumwear one from another site.
