Don't get too excited girls, after bloody 7 hours of contractions, getting more intense and like 4 mins apart everything stopped. Its so driving me nuts and puts me to tears. I can't keep getting no sleep all the time cause of this!

Hey - we are home. Tired but doing OK. Emilia was up on the hour evry hour last night!
J loves her so far. I hope it keeps going that way. He is being very attention seeking and loud today. DH has just taken him down to buy some groceries. My boobs are ROCK HARD and very sore at the moment.
I will come back an post another time about the birth.
    Take care all,

Shell - hugs to you hun, can you have a nice bath to try and relax, sending you lots of labour vibes, hope it is not too far away, it is such a bummer when you think something is happens and then boom it stops.

Meg - right at the beginning we had issues with Rylee in regards to not getting enough attention, but it is nearly three months and she is starting to get better. The only thing I can suggest is like what your DH is doing and take him out to do special 'big boy' things and you do special things with him when bubs is asleep. Finn woke up on the hour every hour for about 2 weeks I think, it gets better....bet its lovely to be home....

All well here, I took Finn to a chiropractor this morning to sort out his 'issues' so will see if we see any improvement, it is a work in progress and I will try anything at the moment.

Have a nice day, crossing my fingers we don't have a repeat of Black Saturday here in Victoria today...

Great to see you back Meg! I saw the FB pics too, Emilia is gorgeous. Hopefully those rock hard boobs will get Emilia cosy enough to sleep stretches before too long.

Aww Shell. You sound so frustrated. Will pray it happens soon.

No potty mouth here, because no words at all really! Just the occasional one to describe what he's doing, like clap or ssss for snake or coptah for when his helicopter. I think it just hasn't clicked that he can move his mouth to make different sounds and then add them together!

Meg - just the last three weeks, he has been screaming alot, arching his back, seems very uncomfortable and having 10 minute cat naps in the day, just extremely unhappy. Needs to be carried all the time just a very unhappy baby, so I took him to a baby chiro this morning - she said he has alot of tension in his neck, lower spine and head so did some gentle manipulation, apparantely this can happen alot with quick births.. anyway, along with this I just had an Amby Hammock delivered this morning that I hired and also a friend has lent me an automatic rocker that plays music to see if that will soothe him a bit too. I know alot of people think I am crazy taking a baby to a chiro but I will try anything and he does seem like he is in pain so we will see how we go, we have another appointment for Monday. Another thing I was going to say I did with Rylee was do a reward chart as her behaviour did deteriorate quite a bit with Finny arriving, so I just did really basic tasks for her - eat dinner, clean teeth, be good when I am breastfeeding, go to bed happy - and she got a sticker when she did them and was happy that she was getting that attention, I ordered it online from a company called pottytraining dot com dot au -

Anyway, sorry everyone i have blabbed on enough and bored you all. Sorry this post is all about me.

    Hope everyone is well.

Shell - that sucks butt. Hoping bub gets the hint and evacuates today/tonight!
Meg - welcome home! Emilia is just gorgeous! Cant wait to hear all about your birth.
    Hi Laurin!

Oh man. I just lost some plug and Ive been going #2's all bloody day, not badly but frequently. Also got some ouchy cramps and a backache. I will be majorly po'ed if this little booger comes before March 22nd. I do NOT want to miss out on my waterbirth when this is last bub for us. Otherwise I might have to have another one So he is on warning to stay where he is. I can do pre-labour or even early labour for the next 3wks but I am not having him now. Even Dh said 'Man you know he's gonna come before 38wks and you wont get the birth centre birth.....' lucky he was in the shower at the time or I would have belted him.

Stay put AnnaT's bubba!! on the other hand, you can arrive now Shell's baby!!

Laurin - You are not mad to take him to a chiro. My sis is an osteopath and treats babies all the time. In fact I will prob get her to give Emilia the once over. J had a very stiff neck as a newborn, and she fixed him right up.

Nelle - Words will come soon enough, then you will wish he never learnt to talk. Ok - better take my sore boobies off to feed

I dunno. I just noticed it. Not sure what it means.
Well this baby will only sleep if I am holding her. Night and day. Any advice girls? As J never did that.

What about a sling meg? would that help? I had a friend who's child was similar and she ended up getting a bassinet thingy that swings? cant remember but it looks like a stork to me.lol
Plus, she is only a newbe so she is probably wanting comfort in this strange world..hard i know with another young child to contend with.

Yeah - well she isn't even a week old yet, so need to give her a chance to get used to the world.

Yay to you Shell, huge congratulations to you on the birth of baby Emily, so happy for you

Thanks AJP for letting us know.

Meg - a sling is a great idea. The only way I can get Finn to sleep in the day is that a friend has lent me an automatic rocker, I can get a decent sleep out of him other than that it is 30 mins in the cot....but yeah, she is so new at this stage and the world is one big strange place to her, it is exhausting though especially with a toddler.
