I know its hard isn't it. Is she into dolls or that sorta thing? cause lots variety there. Ash has a baby born and Baby Annabelle which she loves. We thinking getting Ash a little scooter cause she always comments when she sees otehr kids on them.
No idea Chrissy sorry. Jett is just getting a few transformers, a scooter and Cars duplo.
For christmas, they are getting one or two things each and a combined present (a bookshelf with blackboard that folds out to a table with a train track painted on it, comes with a 70pc train set.)
Next yr I have no freakin clue what we'll give them because we are all boy-toyed out
I got Vy some cleaning set and small clothes line form Audi, a pram with another doll and a dora dress, thomas the tank pants set and a kick up the bum if her attitude doesnt change we go to QLD just over a week later so I cant wait to celebrate it up there.
Enrolled Vy into 3 yo kinder today...wish they would take her when she actually does turn 3.
We were thinking about getting everyone to pitch in for a trampoline for Christmas but not sure. Riv's getting into the small amount of Duplo at mum and dad's, so we're considering that for his birthday.
What's she into Chrissy?
We're going to be booked in for speech therapy with Riv, the waiting list is 4 months, but we might get in a bit sooner being lower income (who knew that could be a good thing? ). The MCHN said he probably was just a bit reluctant and would be fine, but gave me the option to book in if I wanted to double check, and I do - I think he lacks confidence, he's a perfectionist and won't do something if he doesn't think he can do it perfect the first time, but I'm sure they've dealt with those before and can give me some ideas.
I'm booked in too Nelle. Been waiting a while but in for the end od August, as J speaks a million words, and sentances but they are still not 100% clear. I will let you know what it is like after I go.
Ok girls need some serious advice. I played netball tonight, and my pelvic floor is screwed. I do exercises every day, but it is not improving. Any advice/ tips to help strengthen it up?
Perhaps you need to get that thing (I know, super specific and helpful ) that you stick up and hold it in? Please, someone else know what I am talking about! Otherwise maybe who would you see about that? A physio? Gyno? That sucks though Meg, I hope you can work something out.
Nelle- That doesn't come out sounding too god, lol, something you stick up and hold it in! Going to speech won't hurt, they can be quite good on giving you tips. When my nephew went to speech I was quite surprised at all the different things they worked on it was really good for him.
Meg- Hmm good question, I'm slack on my pelvic floor exercises anyways! Maybe ask a physio? I know after labour we had a physio session about different prenatal exercises including focusing on pelvic floor. You could just go to one appt and get them to give you a variety exercises or try googling?
AnnaT- How is everything with you? Any housing showing up? Is your ex down in sydney yet? Could he help you out?
My birthday monday, woohoo. I gave Df list of my birthday expectations, not gifts but what I wanted like a cake with candles, a made card from Ash, nice dinner, well he must've listned cause apparantly he's organised a friend to babysit mon from 5:30-7:30 so we can go out.
That sounds great Shell, I like when we don't expect them to mind read, but give them just a bit of guidance - I always feel a bit more confidant about having a good time that way.
Hope it's a great time!
meg, not sure what excesises you do, but i find, yoga and pliates type of deep tummy ones work well for me, mind you i have had 7 kids, and when i go to the gym, i always were a pad just in case, but the more i do the yoga pilates deep tummy ones i dont actaully need a pad
yes was thinking of a trampoline, but i might wait for xmas for that one, i actually have spent 1500 in castle hampers, and they do gift vouchers to toys r us, so i think i will use that money for a big combined pressy for both caity and laim...she likes dora, but has a doll, she has a toy stroller, but doesnt put dolls in it, she puts liam in it and wheels him around the house..maybe some sort of bike scooter thing then.
We have a trampoline for the girls, and they love it. It's fantastic when kids come over as well. Ours is a 12 foot (I think), so pretty big.
This year, Nina is getting a dolls house for her b'day, and a 3 wheel scooter for Christmas, and Emily is getting a doll for Christmas. Nina got a doll for her 2nd Christmas, so I wanted to keep the tradition. I got the same doll for Emily that I got for Nina, just a different colour.
meg - like Chrissy said, Yoga and Pilates is great for that type of thing. There are medical procedures that you can get done later in life if it's still an issue.
nelle - that's great that you've put your name down for speech therapy. You'll have to keep us up to date on his progress. I went to speech therapy when I was 4, and so did Heath.
Jack is gettina tramp for xmas put it on layby at target sales
he is hopefully getting a timber train set for his bday, Ikea have a real good one well it looks good in catalogue and online so going to check it out when we are down there next week
MM i have no idea! I was going to replace the plastic crap kitchen with a wooden one and with reall good lifelike beaters and mixes. Combined present but with millana at school 5 days a week ruby would get more use... So not sure.
Ruby has a bday soon. I got her a duplex set in dora/deiago. A dora dancing doll, a tinkerbell laptop and a tiger cub to feed.lol And i will probably make her a doll. Presents that millana has that they already fight over...
I still havnt organised a party...everyone keeps asking but totally disorganised.
Meg.Pelvic fllor exercies. Do a wee and half way through hold for 5 secs, then repeat. Do it everytime u do a wee. Also what chrissy suggests.
FIL passed away last night. Its sad but also a blessing in a way as now he is in peace. Last time I saw him (mon) he just looked absolutely terrible. Thankfully he wasn't it pain, they were giving him regualr morphine but I think more cause he was getting bit agitated and restless.
He fought it for as long as he could.
