My appointment went fine, Im sorry yours didnt Maz. You know Ive never heard this baby's heartbeat and I only heard Jett's once? I wonder why some Drs are doppler happy and others arent. Awesome score on the seats though!
Im all booked in to hospital now. The midwives there seem really lovely and were already joking about having to deliver bub in the carpark hehehe They are pretty much as supportive as my last hospital was but the bonus is they actually encourage skin to skin contact literally straight after birth. My hosp in Perth didnt allow it and esp not in my circumstances with the pre eclampsia but they assured me here that unless bub isnt breathing or Im seriously not well there wont be a problem, and even if there is they will do s2s contact as soon as possible. They wont even take bub off you to weigh them/give injections until youve had a cuddle and a breastfeed! I didnt breastfeed Jett until 4 hours after birth because no one said anything to me. Im super looking forward to delivering there now.
I sucked it up and booked Jett into 'kindy' on Fridays from 9am-2pm. I wanted Thursdays but they have a limit of 4 kids under 3yo on any day so Fridays there was only 2 others. Means the carers arent swamped with kids who cant walk/go potty etc. The lady seemed really nice and was understanding of my silly worries. She said to pop in and have a look beforehand and I can always ease into graduallywith 1 hour, then 2 hours, then 3 etc.
Hi all,
Ness- big hugs to you. Is it your first fine cause if so as someone else mentioned just write to them and tell them how good you are usually and you made stupid mistake and tell them how you obey limits normally cause they're so important, stuff like that and they should let you off with a warning.
AnnaT- Thats great your appt went well, sounds like a good place. And yay on booking Jett into a kindy, I been thinking lately I should pop Ash into occasional care sometime just to get a break or few hours to myself, go shopping or something.
Nelle- I love it how River can just lie down and decide to nap anywhere. Ash has to be put in cot or she won't sleep.
Maz- Big hugs, try not worry, you prolly have a cheeky bub who just doesn't want to lie in a posi where they can find it!
Anna**- I recommend boob job, lol, I could recommend good surgeon here in melb. I have heard boobs can get smaller after BF. I'm starting to think i should've got larger implants cause I loved the size I had when I had heaps of milk, they feel all squishy now.
Annie- Does your sister still live in Sydney? It'll be great for you to see her again, enjoy!
I been so slack today done nothing! i always tired day after work, altho working sundays pretty good, get paid time and half plus it usually not as busy as during week.
Quick question, anyone still BF? Sounds like heaps weaning going on so just wondering who is still going, we still going most days, I just give formula when I'm at work or need break or whatever.
I'm still breastfeeding! When River wakes up, when he goes to bed, and one in the middle of the night (we're going to cut that one at some stage I think). What kind of implants do you have Shell? Have you had any trouble with them? I think my boobs are getting smaller too. Hate to think what they'll be like once I've done feeding all my children.
yeah, my boobs are a pretty sad case as welll.....oh well all for a good cause I guess. AS soon as I stopped bfind they deflated. Shocker night here Rylee was awake from 12 am - 3 am - now DH tells me it is all my fault and I spoilt her by getting up to her all the time....
Gotta go and have a coffee and try and cheer up
Have a good one
Laurin
Laurin - Sorry you had a shocker night. Hopefully tonight will be better.
Maz - You have just gotta try not to worry - easier said than done. It will be fine though.
Shell - I am still breastfeeding, first thing in the morning, and last thing before James goes to bed, and sometimes I will feed at lunch time, and sometimes I will give formula - all depends. I had stopped the lunch feed, but when he got sick I started it up again. I actually don't want to give up the feeding yet. I will prob feed till January when I go back to work.
Nelle - are you going to tandem feed, or ween before the next bub?
Helen - Hope you get a rest.
Ness - Fingers crossed that you get the fine at least reduced.
AnnaT - I am sure he will have a blast at kindy.
Not much to report here. Visited my grandparents this arvo, and James has just gone down in his cot for a rest.
I too am really tired today. I have only packed 2 boxes today. I am a but overwhelmed with the packing. It seems never ending!!! - and how do you fully pack when you are still using stuff??? I had myself a snooze this morning while James was asleep. I must have slept for about an hour. That is so not like me - I never sleep during the day! I haven't even made the bed today. Also trying to use everything up from the freezer, so it is homemade pizza on pitta bread tonight!
packing sucks bigtime doesn't it Meg - moving house is rated as one of the most stressful things in life (I think with divorce, death, getting married, having a bub) so you have every right to feel overwhelmed. And, there is always so much stuff that you have to leave until the last minute as you are using it.
Meg- I'm not moving for another 5 weeks and I'm already stressing, as you said there'll be all the stuff you still use esp for bubs.
Laurin- Give Dh of yours a good slap! What would he prefer you to do? leave her screaming? Men sometimes can be insensitive they should be supportive instead. Hope you have a better night tonight.
Ness- Hopefully the letter does the trick, no harm in trying, hopefully you'll get someone who has a heart and understands.
Nelle- I've got silicone ones, they meant to be pretty safe these days, even if you use a saw to cut them they can't leak. (Thats what surgeon tells me don't know why my boobs would be sawn off!) I've been lucky with them, no probs at all, even BF came easy and I was bit worried bout that.
Vixstar.. i keep forgetting youre so close! We'll have to do coffee sometime!!
Anna**.. my boobs are smaller than they were pre-pregnancy.. and i only breastfed for 9 days.. i used to be a nice C.. now im a B..
Maz.. aww :hugs: bubs was probably just laying in a funny position. Jesse measured 1 week ahead throughout his pregnancy.
Meg.. yummoooo i love homemade pizza!!!! I guess you just pack things you know you wont need or could do without. I hate packing.. will hate it when we move next we have so much stuff!
My homemade pizza was yummmmmo! I noticed that there are heaps of chicken fillets in my freezer. Anyone got any good recipes?
I am having an early night. Feel lousy. I have a headache. I think I can feel my stress levels building up with every box I pack. Doesn't help that Tim won't be home till Friday, so I am packing on my own. I can't leave half open boxes around either as James can get into things.
I get my Thyroid results tomorrow morning.
Belle - how are you? It has been a while since we have heard from you. How are the new meds going?
Oh... how I wish I was a B cup! Actually a B cup looks pretty big on me as I'm normally only an A cup anyway (but now I'm not even that *boo hoo*).
Shell, I've been thinking of a boob job once I'm done having kids/breastfeeding - I'm still hanging onto the vague hope that the next bub may bring bigger boobs that stay! I've seen your pics, your boobs are huge woman... and you want them bigger????
Nelle - How's your milk supply holding up with the pregnancy?
Maz - Hon, you ok? Sorry to hear the scan was less than wonderful... don't stress too much as sonographers sometimes do find it hard to get a heartbeat in early pregnancy through the abdomen (you normally get a dildo cam at your stage of pregnancy)
AnnaT - Your hospy sounds nice. If you ever move back to Perth and have a bub here, make sure you book in at the family birth centre that I went to as it has everything that you are wishing for in labour!
Laurin - Sorry to hear about your shocker night. Little Rylee just doesnt like sleeping much does she. I really feel for you as I know what you are going through right now
Meg - I'm one of those weirdos that actually doesn't mind moving house. I see it as a great excuse for a spring clean ie I tend to throw out a lot of stuff whenever I shift house and de-clutter (we sell and move every couple of years). Just pack what you know you don't need in boxes. Even kitchen plates etc can be mostly packed - just leave 2 plates, 2 bowls, etc and pack the rest leaving the boxes open so you can just pop them in before you shift. The last few nights before I move and nearly always 'takeaway' food days or frozen lean cuisine etc. I'll pm you a link to a 'moving timetable' that might help a bit.
Ok, 'nuff typing now, better go read up a bit. Oh,... and where is Bel?
Hey just out of interest what are your bubs nap times during the day and for how long - are they down to one nap, rylee had a very quick half hour nap at 11.30 am and now she has fallen asleep having her tea - when she has a late nap she won't go to bed till about 10 pm - I am dreading tonight
Meg.. i have a very yummy sweet and sour chicken receipe we make all the time. Let me know if youre interested.
Laurin.. Jesse still generally has 2 naps.. sometimes its only 1 but we try for 2. Morning nap is usually between 10.30-11am then wakes anywhere from 11.30-1pm. His afternoon nap is usually at about 3-4pm and usually sleeps until 5-5.30pm when we wake him for dinner. He goes down at 7.30pmish for night. Sometimes he wont sleep in his afternoon nap.. just play in his bed.. if hes still awake arount 5pm ill just bring him back out. But i guess all bubs are different. Could you perhaps try and get her to sleep a little earlier in the mornings so that then she'll sleep a little earlier in the afternoon. Or if not, try and stretch her morning nap out the more 12pm (give lunch earlier).. so then hopefully with the 1 nap she'll sleep an hour or 2 and that will be enough? Its hard that transition from 1 to 2 naps when 2 is too much and 1 isnt enough.
Jesse's starting to let go all the time now and stand on his own. He still doesnt say anything other than bub bub bub bub.. even though i drill into him mum mum or dad dad..
Ash is still into throwing things into the bin, mainly pulling magnets off fridge and putting them in!
On a good note, last night she woke as usual at 11:30 but settled herself without a feed and slept til 7am! So she skipped her 4:30 wake-up also. So I am hoping she just stops all together waking at 11:30. Its the worst time to be woken cause I've just gotten off to sleep.
Laurin- It varies here depending on what time Ash gets up and what time she goes down for her first nap. Some days I do try stretch the morning out a bit longer if I know I won't get 2 in. yesterday though she only decided to nap for half hour and that was it, its not so bad if she does a 1.5 hr nap.
Meg- Good luck with the test results, its about time they tell you whats going on, you've been waiting ages. What time is your appt?
Anna**- I def recommend after all your bubs get the boob job, seriously it may be expensive but it is the best money I have ever spent, it made buying clothes so much more enjoyable and made me feel so much better about my body.
Got mums group this arvo and might pop into Df work with Ash seeing as they haven't seen her for months.
shell - what bra size are you now? And what were you before?
I was a D before Nina, got to an E while pg & b/f, now back to a D-DD. I can't see them reducing any more.
I've had a horrible migraine last night. Heath had to go into town at 10.30 last night to get me some medication. I feel like a walking zombie today. And Nina has the sniffles and is a real turd last night and this morning. I don't know how single mothers cope. I'm struggling to cope and I have a husband and family! (although they are all at work today).
laurin - Nina has one sleep a day usually, and that's at around 11-1. If she has a morning nap, then she'll have an afternoon nap, but is like Rylee, and is an evil child at night lol
woohoo on Jesse standing on his own! It won't be long and he'll be saying mum & dad!
Nina is cutting another 2 teeth, at the bottom. Maybe that's why she's so evil the past 24 hours?
maz - I'm sure everything is a-ok with bubby. Remember early on, I think your first ultrasound. They said Mr Squiggles was buried deep down. Maybe she/he still is, and that's why they can't pick up on the heartbeat.
meg - good luck with your results. Let us know how you go.
annat - Jett is going to love kindy! You'll shed a few tears, but that's to be expected. I still get all teary when I drop Nina off. I'd love to stay home with her, but I see how much fun she is having. She starts squealing with excitement as soon as we pull into the driveway lol
Jodi.. oh you poor thing, i know what those terrible migrains are like! Hope Nina wakes up a happy girl from her morning nap for you. Have a day on the couch if you can.
Shell.. oh woooo on ash sleeping through!!!!!!!!!!
Jesse has worked out how to push drinks out of his mouth. He'll take a mouthful or water or milk then open his mouth and let it roll out. This morning he's now worked out how to do it with his food (weatbix). He can be a cheaky lil bugger sometimes
