I thought that we should have a little 'getting to know you' thingy in here. I'm sure a few of you 'due in September' girls already know each other well, but there's so many newbies and I'm interested to know more about each and every one of you. I'll start off.

I'm Jodi married to Heath for one year. We've been together for 4 years. Our first bub Nina was born on our first wedding anniversary! We live in Cairns. I've been here for 6 years now. Previously from Sunshine Coast. Also from Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Emerald and Brisbane (for those who know Qld) We have 2 properties, a house which we live in, and a unit as investment and have 2 gorgeous border collies. We plan on having 2 kiddies.

I think that's enough about me for now. Hopefully you girls don't mind sharing too.

Hi guys.

Well My name is Helen (duh!!!) I am 26 (just 22aug) and have been with DH for 9yrs come this May. We have just celebrated our third wedding anniversary, yesterday. I had Bella when I was 22 and we started trying for Eithan on our wedding night. I live in a northern suburb of Hobart. We have just brought a block of land in Lachlan and will be building a house next summer (hopefully). I have PCOS and am required to have a cs for all future births due to extensive damage from Bella which just recently has reared it's ugly head (a story for another day). My DH is 99% sure he doesnt want any more kids, I do want more so a bit of emotional issues for me there. Umm I have previously worked for Target, Qantas and for Commonwealth bank. I am not planning on going back to work for awhile and want to become a teacher so will probably be taking that on when my youngest is 8-10yrs old as a part time course. Although I am quite nervous as I will be a mature age student. I love camping and walking (when I can). Ummm not much more, hope that helps.

Sharleen-Wow you are just spinning my head, I still keep picturing the hi-5 girl. I would love to be part of the christmas chat but unfortunately due to taking out an extra 100k on our loan I wont be sending a present.

Shellbell-I dont feed in public, just a choice of mine as I dont like anyone to see my boob. I usually find a room or go back to the car a wind a blanket up in the side window. I usually park against a wall. Goodluck, you should google breastfeeding tops, and check them out they are quite discreet looking, plus you can get BF shawls aswell.

Rach-I have heard that pregnancy is good for fertility, maybe you have another miracle there??? Thanks for sharing your story of having children with me, it must have been a few hard years for you even sometimes now. Big hugs.

I'm hoping to get Eithan weighed finally next week. He still seems so tiny. The 000's are still fitting him easily.

Ok, about me... Weeeeell, I'm 27, and married to my gorgeous DH Scott who is 34 today (happy birthday!). We've been married two years in April 07. We live in a 4x2 on a biggish block in Alexander Heights over looking the Perth hills... of course, like most people, we've got a mortgage that keeps us out of trouble! lol. As well as our one skin kid, we have a bunch of furkids; 2 cats (a cream Burmese and a fawn-silver Abyssinian) and 2 dogs (a black Kelpie X and a nutcase liver German Shorthaired Pointer). I used to work for a temping company as a PA/EA for Government Departments and when I have spare time (prior to baby!) I do commissioned art works, calligraphy, cake decorating, dog training and I love to cook! We aren't planning on having any more kids, Xander took us so long to conceive and put a big strain on our marriage to do so (hormone tracking, temp taking, charting, clomid, miscarriage, balanced translocation yar-di-yarda).. but he was sooooo worth it!

Sh*t, sorry I've crapped on for so long! hehe. Better head off to bed as my little munchkin is sleeping so I guess I should be too.

My little life sotry goes like this......
I left home at 15 cause of lots of crappola. Lived on the streets for a while in Melbourne and saw alot of yucky things. Moved around and ended up in bundaberg with a lovely bloke who decided to leave me after my 21st for ANOTHER MAN. Mind you I was pg at the time (I aborted). I meet jed on the 6th of Decemeber 1996 and clicked with him straight away. So yes, we have been together for almost 10 years. Married 7 years last 18th of September. We have almost finished our extension (its only taken a year). Have 2 beautiful little men Nikolaus 6 and Wilhelm 4, a super gorgous little girl Vyolett of course and a fur baby Shrek who someone kindly dumped in are garden one night and we haven't been able to part with. I had a tubal reversal last year in october cause I felt like something was missing and cried when I saw other babies. We have no desire to have any other children, please shoot me if I come back in 6 months saying im clucky.. I love to cook my mums traditional german foods (Yes im German and a bit of a nazy in my house lol) and of course I love scrapbooking (it help to clear my mind). My hubby and kids come first and if anyone hurts them, they better look out. Ive done a bit of causual work, waitressing, working at a servo since Ive had the kids. I use to work for the Bank of Melbourne as a treasurer and i was also a buying manager at Cash Converters. Ive lived in SA, QLD, TAS, WA and here in VIC of course.
So now you know abit about me. HOpe to hell I haven't scared any of yo off ....lol
Suppose I better shower and prepare myself for today. I'll let you know how we go. Have a big headache already.

anna** - i think Nina is finally catching up to Xander, on Monday she was 5.25kg and is putting on heaps of weight lately. But she's a long way off Ambah yet!

helenp - Nina is still in 000's. Some brands aren't long enough for her, and some brands are.

sharleen - i'm still waiting on the birth certificate too. It took them a good month to debit our credit card

I think Nina's teeth are hurting her at night, last night was a fairly good night except she was a little unsettled, wanting lots of cuddles, and some panadol

what a night i had to sit on akira to hold her down just to get 1 drop of crap into her eye. then me and simon had a big fight cause all he did was sit on his fat bum and played a computer game. He didnt even give me a hand to get the kids ready for bed .

sharleen- she has only started up this year. as people keep sending there kids to kindy with all this illness. it drives me nuts.

my life story ,

my name is adele and im 23 yrs old. i have two wonderful kids akira who is 4 and riley. i met simon in 2000 when i was 17yrs old. left school two weeks before my exams (crazy idea) for a job as a manager at chicken treat. worked for a year. left in 2002 cause i had akira at the age of 18. i still lived at home with mum and dad then simon had to move back home so i had more room in my bedroom for akiras things.

i got engaged to simon on the christmas day in 2003. and we moved out together a month after lol. we have moved 5 times since beging together lol. i like to move around cant stay in one place for to long.

waiting to get married as i want to lose all my weight i have put on with these kids.

me and simon havehad alot of hard times together with him having bi-polar and him drinking alot. i dont really like talking about that just want to take each day at a time to see if it gets better.

I like this idea of getting to know each other.
Well my real name is Rochelle, been with my partner for 3 and half years, we been engaged for about a year but putting off the wedding for awhile, we want to save our money at the moment as we are planning to buy a house in July, sick of renting! We met on valentines day at one of those RSVP balls. I'm 28 and he is an oldie, 37. I'm a nurse, planning on going back to work in July part time, thats great thing with nursing can be very flexible on what you want to work. Matt is a maths teacher. We took 15 months to conceive Ashleigh, turned out Matt had a low sperm count due to some sort of inflammation, (maybe me punching him in the balls. LOL) Was easily fixed though with 2 weeks of antibiotics and then it only took us 3 months, if only we'd known the prob earlier!

Well i am 30.(just) Today is aaron and i wedding anniversary of 5yrs and i forgot.I always do! We have been together 9 yrs.We use to live in country towns both of us all our lives and have great memories from there.Hubby was a greenkeeper and me an enrolled nurse. I am now a stay at home mum until the girls are older and hubby now runs his own lawnmowing business. Millana came along in nov 2004 and ruby 7 weeks ago!!! So needless to say our life is hetic as you woul all know.
I love scrapping,reading,shopping,cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Sharleen that's fantastic about your house value. We had something similar. We bought a house in 2002 for $130k, did a little renovating and sold last year for $270k. We upgraded to a bigger and better house, and have since put in a pool and did up the patio. We also splashed out on some new cars. We bought a unit this year for only $160k and get $230p/w rent ... not bad hey!
My parents recently sold their house in Bundy and made a $100k profit too. Gotta love that property boom!!

Hi girls

Sorry havent been around, have been having a hard time lately and organising Julia's baptism for tomorrow also been flat out. Today shes so unsettled cause she slept from 10.30pm - 6.30am..wow...so im paying for it today im knackered and so stressed my excema has come all over my face nice NOT just in time for the baptism, lets hope I can cover it all up with foundation.

This getting to know each other is great. A bit about myself and our family... Jeffrey and I met in Aug 2002 at a pub he was so nice. We got on really well clicked straight away... We moved intogether in Feb 2003 and he proposed to me in June 2003 and we got married in March 2004. We were TTC for 14 months before seeing a specialist and unfortunately miscarried our first pregnancy and now are so blessed with our little Julia. DH is an Electronic engineer and I am a Personal Assistant. We know a lot of the same people through work as I worked at a company that is engineered based so at least 3 people that I worked with work at DH's work now..We want more than 1 child so wont be going back to work straigh away, but if DH wants to change jobs I can temp for a while and he can be SAHD so we can get some money in.. but I would like to be the SAHM. I dont miss work at all! LOL...We live in Sydney and love to travel to QLD on our holidays and also Melb and would love to go visit Adelaide again too.

Rachel (31) DH Jason (32) met over the phone Ocvt 1999, officialy a couple new years eve 1999, moved to Moura and in together April 2000, got enagage April 2001 married Oct 6 2001, started TTC straight away, ectopic m/c Oct 2002, Katy Rose s/b 21 weeks Sept 23 2003 both conceived naturally, started seeing RE Nov 2004, missed m/c March 2005 (3rd cycle clomid) m/c 10 weeks Nov 2005 (3rd cycle clomid) and fell pg with Jack Jan 2006 (2nd cycle clomid) so Jack is a very much wanted and long awaited baby, 5th pg 5 years of trying 5 years of marriage

lets see Jase is a instrament fitter/electrician for the explosive plant in Moura, I was a chef finished up when we moved here, went back to work for 7 months last year, we plan on trying for one more baby, in 6 months, love living here so quiet and peaceful and best of all no family LOL so thats us in a nut shell

here goes my story............i think im the oldest here, so it could be long!!!!

my real name is christine, which i hate, i prefer chrissy or chris, i am 36 years old, i left home at 17 to move in with my boyfreind craig (my hubby now), i grew up in sydney suburb of eastwood, and lived at wisemans ferry on the hawksberry river when i left home.
when i was about to turn 21, me and craig decided we would be married and instead of a 21st party we thought a engagement would be more appropriate.......a month before the party, i ran of with mark, ( gee i was a b**ch), i had 5 children with him joshua, jessica,sean, timothy & nicole, and miscarriaged 3 times in between kids, after nicole was born i decided to get my tubes tied as i probably would of ended up with a footy team if i didnt..........we brought a property on the south coast of nsw, right near bega, 45 acres, we lived on solar power, grew our own meat veges etc, i really loved that lifestyle, my parents thought i was mad!! we even drove around in a kombi paited with flowers and peace signs, we were real hippys i suppose, except i didnt smoke pot......hehehe.i was married in 1994,i put up with years of verbal and phyiscal abuse. and constantly sheltering in the womans refuge, as i had no family around me.
in feb 2002, i was on the net on the school freinds site, i searched for my old ex craig, and found him i emailed him, the next day we were talking on the phone, and within a week i was back in sydney back togather with him.........my parents were stoked they always loved craig and hated mark.......i gave my kids the option on who they wanted to live with and the girls said mum and the boys said dad.Me and craig married on 28 july03, and june 04 i hade my tubes reveresed to try for a baby, we miscarriaged twice and now we have caitlyn, Craig is an electrician and he is about to turn 43, he has 2 kids from a previos relationship, in which he gets them every2nd weekend and half holidays, i only get to see my boys in the school holidays as they still live near bega on the property so our kids ages are as of today are, 13,12,11,10,9,8,6weeks, we were the brady bunch before caityn came along 3 of each.........we live at lemon tree passage which is in port stephens, right on the water. i have an extremely smart dog called gearbox........yes you heard right, and a guinea pig called guiness. i have worked mainly behind the bar, but also worked in shops, and did a stint at the commonwealth bank, and also worked at bega cheese factory and i used to deliver the mail, in my GROOVY KOMBI,and often people would take a picture as they couldnt believe that i was aloud too.........i told you it would be long

Hi Girls,

Sorry I have been so slack. I have been reading the posts but finding it so hard to keep up. You girls sure do talk.

I don't like to brag but I have the most angelic baby here. Samuel has been going 10 hours overnight between feeds and between 5 and 6 hours during the day. I think his shortest one is 4 hours. He's a legend. He's such a contented baby and is happy to lie under his playmat when awake and when he gets tired we just wrap him up and put him back to sleep until the next feed. Sometimes he wakes up after a short time but we rock him back to sleep and he is happy. Makes life so much easier especially with the older two to deal with. We had him weighed last week and he has put on 1kg since birth up to 4.8kg so he is definetely getting enough to eat.

O.K here's my story. I'm 32 years old and met my hubby Adam when I was 21 so we've been together nearly 11 years. We both grew up in Newcastle. I met him when I had gone away on a camping trip with my brother and his friends. We have only been together about 6 months when he got offered a job in Port Hedland, WA. We were both living at home with our parents so packed ourselves up and moved over the other side of the country. We were in Port Hedland for nearly 7 years and had Kaitlyn in July 2001 and then Jamie in June 2003. 4 weeks after Jamie was born DH applied for and got a job back in Newcastle so back we came. We were married in October 2004 with both our precious children by our side. When we moved back to Newcastle we moved into an investment property that we had bought a couple of years before and never intended on living in so it was a bit squishy with the 4 of us. We subdivided the block of land that the house is on and built a two story, 4 bedroom house on the back of the block which we are living in now. I have always wanted 3 kids and felt that I was missing something. DH really only wanted 2 but after lots of convincing he came around to my way of thinking and our beautiful Samuel was conceived on New Years Eve 2005 and now our family is complete.

Gotta go I am being called. It's tucker time.
