It's weird isn't it. We don't have water restrictions up here. We get so much rain each year that we don't need it. If I could send some your way, I certainly would. I'm over it!

hi girls
nessa..wow not long now girl, i cant imagine how your coping with all that hot weather in adelaide, we have had a very mild summer this year.
caddie..hope you dont get that sick hun.
anna..lovely to hear from you, how is your dog now?
jodi..im not 100% on that question, but i reckon liam has dropped down as i have been in so much pain in my lower back these last couple of days, and last night i was up every 45minutes to wee, it drove me batty
shell..i have only heard of all the bad media from tiger airlines, so i really dont know, but i hope you start feeling better soon.
caity is alot better now, and last night was the first night she didnt spew all over her bed, so im gonna catch up on some well deserved r&r when she has her lunchtime nap. The kids have just finished there sat jobs....dishes, vacum, wash walls in kitchen and scrub the kitcen floor......gee there is a good side to them growing up:D
chrissy - now that your kids have finished their duties at your place, can you send them up this way. I have a few jobs around here that will keep them busy :D
How are all the aches and pains going. You getting some relief? Obviously not though, if you were up every 45 min peeing! Are you at the stage that rolling over in bed, or simply getting out of bed takes a huge amount of energy out of you, and you hope that the feeling of needing to pee might go away if you lay there long enough (or is that just me who wishes that would happen )
My next GP app is after Easter, so I'll be interested to see where Emily is. She's definitely sitting very low, but I just can't shake the thought that it's her bum sitting in my pelvis. God I hope not. She's been such a good girl since 18 weeks, being head down. All I need is for that to happen.
ETA: I just noticed I'm 31 weeks today! woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jodi..that sounds exactly how im feeling, we have a 2 story house and as soon as i walk upstairs, im puffing like i have run a marathon, and i have to sit to rest as soon as im there, the other day i was on the verge of collapsing as i was so weak and puffed, so i have to watch that.
Just popping on quickly, at mum and dads, stealing their evaporative coolness. :p Our aircon's a bit overwhelmed!
How hot is it! Unbelievable.
By the way, if you ever start to wonder about Maz, check the cloth nappy chatter - she seems to only have time to post in one place at a time, when you guys start to wonder, she's just posted in cloth nappies, and when the cloth nappy people start to wonder, she's just posted in here! :p So she's around, for sure, just a busy bee I guess!
Ick, off to get an icypole or something.
chrissy - I was talking to a lady at the shops today who had 2 kids with her and was 39 weeks pg. Her belly was around the same size as mine, so I was a little surprised to hear she only had a week to go. But we got talking, and it turns out she already has 6 kids, and this is her 7th (not including one she miscarried). Heath and I almost fell over!! I thought of you straight away. I really don't know how she and you do it. Her kids ranged from 2 to 16 (I think that's what she said).
nelle - enjoy your icy pole!! How are you travelling along?
Nina is full of energy today. The 14.5 hour sleep last night must have done her good. She and Heath and racing each other up the hall, to see who can reach mummy first!!
We had her in a pair of overalls today, and she looked so cute, and grown up. I took a pic, dunno how it turned out, but I'll upload it to show you all how much she's grown up the past few weeks.
Time to get a milo, I'm craving one ATM.
Guys, forgot to let you know that my brother and his girlfriend had their first baby in Feb, a little boy named Kye Stephen.
Talking about lots of kids, my SIL is pregnant with her 6th baby. Her youngest is 19mths old and her youngest is 8 1/2. They say this is their last baby, but I cant see that happening.LOL.
Anyways Eithan has a burnt bum from poohey nappies, other than that we are coasting along reasonably.
Love

Laurin
Hi girls, MAZ thanks for posting.
We had to take Julia to hospital last night, poor chicken wasnt well all day and slept for 4 hours in arvo and didnt want to get out of bed so unlike her, took her temp was 38.5 and gave her panadol but she thew it up so we took her to emergency, her temp there was 39.5 very worrying so they gave her nurofen and kept watch, the wouldnt drink water or milk so was very worrying about dehydration, they wanted bloods and urine she was very brave but she wouldnt wee for hours so at 12.30am they had to use a catheter, poor girl, I couldnt look she was so brave. Bloods came back with infection so until they test the urine properly should be today they cant tell us what kind of infection she has, she also has a sore through, so at the moment they are thinking viral as the quick dip test on the urine was ok so not a UTI they think they they have to make sure. They let us go home at 1.30am in the morning but her temps are still high 38.5 even with panadola and nurofen. Please think of Julia girls. Hope she recovers quickly and soon. She has eating little bit of banana and raisin bread her two favourites and has some sips of water which is great improvement. So just waiting on test results and see whether we have to bring her back to hospital or not for antibiotics.
Bel

Belle- oh poor Julia. I'll be thinking of her, such a worry when they are sick. if the blood tests showed an infection they should also show what type (such as what is growing not where it is) and then usually sensitivitie results follow which is where they find out what antibiotics can fight it and what won't. So hopefully they'll sort it all out today.
Laurin- I'm not too bad today, just sniffly and bit of cough. when is your Dh back next?
Maz- You do sound busy. Let us know how Mats appt's go this week. Lol at him rolling in the bassinet, he is cheeky one! I never did get that pattern , god knows where in the world it is now! I ended up buying one and thats what I've been sewing (still going)
HelenP- Congrats to your bro. How are they going with there new little bubba? Have your chest pains settled?
Chrissy- We're in a 2 story place too and i get puffy now going up and down! I worry how I'll be when pregnant again.
Nelle- How you coping in the heat today? I'm so thankful we have aircon!
We've been quite productive today cleaning here but now both Df and I have exhausted ourselves, he is having nap while Ash is in bed.
Thank god Ash is sleeping today she wouldn't have nap yesterday way too wound up so of course last night she was getting very cranky.
awww Belle both you and Julia are very brave, it is so hard to see them when they are sick and they look so vulnerable, praying for you!!!
Roll on cool change....
belle - That's awful about Julia. I really hope she recovers soon. How has she been today? Please keep us updated as much as you're able to. :grouphug:
Yep my SIL childrens ages are close, 8 1/2, 6 1/2, 5, 3 1/2, 1 1/2and bub due in Aug.
Belle-I really hope Julia is doing better, poor little chook and such a worry for you guys.
My heart is a lot better. Havent noticed any more chest pains which is good.
Went to a country show yesterday. We had a great time. Leith and I got dressed up in those sumo suit things and had a wrestle. I must admit though it was all one sided, I had no chance against Leith. I now know what a beetle feels like stuck on its back as that is what kept happening to me.:cryinglaugh:
Anyways better go.
Love
thanks girls, any ideas on how to keep temp down? her temp is back up to 39.9. We just have popped her in a coolish bath...poor child. I feel so helpless...
belle - panadol every 4 hours, cool washer on her forehead, cool bath, plenty of water. Don't hesitate to take her back up to emergency if her temp doesn't go down during the night.
Fingers crossed this works.
helen - pmsl!! I'm having thoughts of you being stuck on your back. Glad you had a good time. And that's great news that you haven't had any chest pains lately.
Belle hope julia gets better soon. I find the combination of panadol and then half hr later nurofen helped lower it for ruby. You poor thing, its horrible having our kids unwell.
Helen had to laugh! Sumo suits sound like such fun! Glad your heart is feeling a little better.
Maz goodluck at all your appointments for your boys.Your such a good mum. You should get mother of the year!
Ive been at a coeliacs expo all day.Kid free! It was great and tried so many yummy gluten free foods. They also had this machine from germany (i want one) that basically does everything! Made rissotto in 16mins,a sorbet in 2 min. Does custard, icecream, cooks meals. But at $1800 dollars id have to give aron lots of favours.lol
Ruby has had not had a sleep all day. But believe it or not she is running around. Oh dear.lol
Thanks girls gave her nurofen and bath settled her a bit, just tried to take her temp and she stuck the ear themometer in her mouth sigh and sucked the metal bit, im so worried, it should be ok shouldnt it? wouldnt be poisenous for her? im beside myself. We didnt have any more plastic ear cover things that go over the themometer.
Belle, if you are worried maybe call the hospital where you were at and tell them whats going on, see if they have all her results back from the tests she had.
Don't worry bout the thermometer it won't poison her. Those plastic covers are more to just protect passing anything from one person to the next when using it.
shell thanks hon so it doesnt matter she was sucking the metal bit?
Im so scared doesnt help my PND
Oh Belle I hope Julia bounces back soon. Just remember that a fever is her way of fighting off an infection - so in a way, it's a handy defence mechanism. If you do bath her, don't make it too cool as it can send the temp up even higher. Ear wax wont harm her, just taste gross - I'm assuming you are using one of the newer digital thermometers? It's only the really old style ones (the glass ones with the mercury bulb) that can be a problem - and that is only if they break. The digital ones are safe hon.
thanks Anna yep its a ear themometer a newish one digital... so hopefully ok. shes sleeping now so will check her temp again at 10.30pm when I go to bed and give her panadol.
I hope she has a good night belle. I forgot about the panadol and nurofen like caddie suggested. That should do the trick. Hopefully you're handling all this ok belle. I know it must be hard on you too. Try not to worry too much about it though. She will be ok. You're doing a fantastic job with her. Is Jeffrey around to help?
maz - completely missed your post, ooooopsie! :D
Good luck this week with Mateauz's appointments. He's a big boy now, in a cot  Glad to hear the b/f is still going strong for the two of you.
How were Whilelm's appointments? Is everything ok, or were they sort of routine appointments?
Nina has been such a good little girl since we discovered the ear infection a week ago and treated it. It's great having our little princess back to normal. She's certainly got her appetite back too. You should have seen the amount of vegies and meat she ate at dinner, little piggy she is! Whenever I tell her it's lunch or dinner, she goes into the kitchen saying 'yum yum' and looks in the pantry.
Belle, hugs mate. The thermometer thing should be fine - even if it's a mercury one it should be fine because it's not broken. And to further ease your mind, my little sis bit into a mercury thermometer when she was little and it went everywhere! And she's fine. A bit silly and absent minded but apparently that has nothing to do with the thermometer. :p
Sorry, I can't possibly catch up with you guys, on mum and dad's slower net, plus their computer chair's pretty uncomfy!! Dad made me a coffee and it's going to make the baby a bit nuts, but he'd already made it! Ah well.
Helen, had a good giggle at the thought of you on your back like a beetle! Those suits are just so fun aren't they.
Anna, I gasped when I read about your dog, hope it's okay.
Maz, thinking of you guys with all your tests and appts - please please keep us posted, and as if you're you you you, it's all about balance - you mostly show an interest in others, so we know you care! Which entitles you to a me me me post, because we share each others journeys! We all know that's how it works here!
(By the way, mum's very proud of Mateauz for rolling so early! :p You can tell him 'Aunty Mrs Nelle's Mum' says hurrah.)
Caddie, is that the Thermomix machine or something? Like a spaceship that goes in your kitchen?? That's grouse you got to see one in real life!!! They sound amazing (if not pricey, you're right!).
Anyway, had enough, this chair is uncomfy, and now mum and I are talking about the Thermomix! :p Love to all you guys I didn't mention (and there's a LOT of you!)
Bring on the cool change...
belle,
i found out from a friend today that if you give them a bit of lemonade that it helps with the high temps as the wch here in adelaide have told her to do it with her little one. it just an idea. hope she getts better soon
Adele
Thanks Adele, yeah they gave us lemonade icypole last night for Julia she licked it twice but thats it...but your right I will try again tomorrow morning with some lemonade.. good idea.
Nelle - thanks mate, you put a smile on my face.
Jodi - thanks too mate, yeah JEffrey around but tomorrow goes back to work, not taking Julia to daycare tomorrow will be home with her.
Belle - how is Julia this morning - how was she through the night - hope her temperature is on its way down...let us know how you both are.
Laurin xxx
Maz-When is the appointment for the boys? I hope that all goes well.
Belle-If she is having trouble keeping her fluids up, have you thought of getting her some electrolyte icypoles. When Eithan was really sick he had these, plus we put some unfrozen ones into his drink bottle. It really helps if they are dehydrated.
Ummmm I forget so quickly what you guys have said.
Oh Leith and I are TTC.
Love
Yay Helen
Maz, the relac isnt going so well BUT I am starting to have my odd leaking moments. Its hard to try and have him on the boob 24/7 with the inlaws here so Im going to give it one last crack after they leave when I can have him suck on the boob all the time without an audience and see what happens.
Im lurking :)
(My baby boy is 3mths old next week - holy moly!)
Belle- Is Julia any better this morn? How'd she go overnight?
AnnaT- Omg, nearly 3 months already! The time has flown. Good luck with the BF, if you feel uncomfotable with audience could you just go off somewhere quietly or put something over to cover yourself?
HelenP- Ooh good luck with ttc. I had to laugh at your beetle description I had this image of you flailing qround on your back!
Jodi- i wish Ash was that good an eater!
Anna- How is your poor little dog going? Recovering well?
Caddie- wow I wouldn't mind one of those machines. Sounds fantastic.
bring on winter I say, had enough of this weather.
Hi girls
She was no better this morning took her to the doc at 9am and just got back home now. Shes got tonsilitis on top of this viral infection, shes not a well bubba. Just given her Nurofen and shes sleeping, when she wakes up will give her her antibiotics. Me im not well either got the viral infection too :(
Thanks to those who have given their support during this time, I really appreicate it girls.
Belle- Glad to hear they have started her on anti-biotics she will feel sooo much better once she starts them. Didn't the hospital check her throat? I wouldv'e thought they would've started her on AB's if her bloods showed an infection.
Belle -hope the ABs are kicking in and she is perking up a bit.....hope you are being kind to yourself to - it is hard work looking after a sick bub. Hopefully by tomorrow morning you will see a huge improvement.
Shell - I agree - bring on winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!11

Hey Jodi, I look forward to meeting you and your gorgeous girls soon  ;)
Does that mean you are moving up that way AnnaT or is it holiday?
We're being posted to Townsville.
On one hand Im sad because I have to leave my friends here that are moving to Sydney and I wont get to see my friends in Syd for ages yet but Im also excited because I hear Townsville is really nice and I LOVE hot weather.
Just waiting on confirmation so I can get our moving organised. I'll be heading up there in may sometimes and Ry will follow by July.
woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We've got a few friends in Townsville so we're always going there. When do you move?
Haven't had a chance to read up on any other posts yet, Heath and Nina are demanding dinner
ETA:
helen - best of luck with TTC, hopefully it's a quick journey for you both.
belle - poor Julia, and you. How is she now? And how are you? Try and rest whenever you can. And keep up the fluids for yourself as well.
just a quicky....just wishing belle and julia all the best , and hoping you are both feeling a lot better tonight, and that you recover enough for your weekend away. :hugs:
By the first week in June Im hoping. Ry will follow on a few weeks later.
maz...goodluck with Wilhelms and Mateauz appointments this week.
