Renee, you norti girl for posting at work ;) When is your concert?
Arte, I reckon you would need to put those seats in the normal bath, the baby bath might not be wide enough? I reckon I need one of those, Alister likes to sit up in the bath and play with toys and my arm gets tired holding him.
I am trying to figure out how to upload to you tube. I took a small movie of Alister on my camera and want to show you guys.
-
Oh far out I'm behind big time again! :)
Renee - Her daddy did that fateline sticker on her forehead!!! He is such a meanie. That was when I was doing up labels for all her gear to take to day care. How are you going with work? You are lucky that you can leave Rory with his grandma. Enjoy your holiday you lucky girl!!
Sherie - I've never used you tube myself so sorry no help there. I hope you figure it out because I'd love to see little Alister!
Katie & Arte - Sounds like you two had a great day, good on you!
Noni - Oh no what a shame that DP lost his job! I hope he can find another soon enough. Oh nooo dont tell me that potato and gravy has chicken fat in it haha its so good though!
Bilby1 - Hang in there!! Is she actually waking for feeds or just out of habit now?
Hayley - Wow you have a great caring GP! How nice of her to set aside time to call you.
Marydean - Yay for Elisabeth sleeping!
Jazmum - I hope starting Hannah on solids goes well for you. Isnt it weird, we have one bub who is supposedly over the normal weight and one below - all babies are different, I dont understand?
Wow seems like many people are starting their bubs on solids. I'm nervous about venturing down the solids path...I bought some farex stuff last night but I think I am waiting till she is 5/6 mths or at least showing an interest. Also I dont think Maddie has figured out how to use her tounge yet iykwim, she often still accidently pushes her bottle out of her mouth with her tongue.
I had a talk to my SIL today. She was still a bit upset about baby Spencer, apparently when he came out he was blue like no tomorrow. She said she was terrifed that she was going to lose him and says its going to take her awhile to get over it. OMG I almost cried. Other than that she is doing fine and is already going home tomorrow. She is bottle feeding and he is feeding well, so really no need for her to be in the hospital any longer.
-
Art & Katie ~ I'm glad you girls had fun! Are you going to do it again?! I hope so, I'd really love to meet up too :) Scarlet's temp has gone down but she's still being very clingy & sooky - I'm sure she'll be fine tomorrow. lol @ Will looking at Logan.
Hm, MD you just reminded me that my wonder weeks book is still not here, Thanks i completely forgot i ordered it, I will have to see whats going on.
I had soooo much more to write but i'm doing 5 things at once ~ Catch up with you all tomorrow!
ETA: WOW Art! Will can sit up on his own!?!
-
Hayley, would you ever suggest that your SIL join up here? I completely understand if you don't, but she might benefit from being able to talk about it. Alister wasn't that blue when he was born, but by god it gave me a fright. I'm going to need heaps of time to upload it, its a big file and I only have dial up.
Arte, I uploaded similar pics tonight of Alister too LOL. Will certainly is a clever boy sitting up so well.
Rach, I'll jump on the developmental stage bandwagon too LOL. Fingers crossed she is past it soon for you.
I honestly don't know how Alister would go if I tried some rice cereal, but I am really nervous about allergies with him, so I reckon the April school holidays will be a good time to start - he'll be nearly 7mths then, but if he looks like he needs it earlier then I will try a little.
-
oh guys... I KNOW i should know this but.. What is a normal temp for a baby? I've completely forgotten.
-
LP I am not 100% sure but I think it is 36.5 to 37.5 (above would be a high temp). I would check my thermometer but it is in Logans room and he is asleep. If your concerned ring the 1300 Dr number.
-
I think if its anything above 38 its too high. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Sherie - I will suggest that she joins up here, but she is a busy girl. She is planning on going back to work 4 days a wk when he is 6 wks old, but I'm wondering whether she is going to change her mind now that she has her little man - its not like they need the money. In the meantime she said she is going to call me later in the wk when things have settled down to 'de brief'. I'm so glad I have someone to chat to on the ph about child birth!!! I never said anything to her while she was pregnant because I didnt want to worry her, but the first thing she said to me, OMG it hurt!!! haha.
-
Hayley its great that she has you to talk to. Joining here would be great for her, I dont know what I would do without Belly Belly.
-
I think it is 38deg? Have you given her any panadol LP? Or tried a tepid bath if she is awake.
Hayley, she might change her mind, 6 wks goes by so fast, it will be here before she knows it.
-
Hi ladies, hope everyone is happy and healthy.
Its been a while since I last log in. I think I missed two whole thread at least :p
Life has been quite busy around here with DH moving to a different job. He used to be able to come home for lunch, but now the new office is quite far.
So he can only see William first thing in the morning and really late at night.
Since new year William has started to roll over both ways ... so no more quiet time for mum LOL. He has also cut one tooth - the bottom one. Funny to see the white tiny bits whenever he laughs. Hope he wont ever bite when BF
Another thing is, he is bald now :) We shaved his head last week. Its sort of a tradition in DH family and they usually do it before bub turns one month old.
With hair, I am losing heaps. Even DH noticed that and told me to ask the GP. But I think it would be useless, gp would probably say its normal
With poo, he is still having at least 4-5 per day. Still lots of nappy changes for us LOL
Weight, he is 6.9kg and 63cm. Not big compared to other bubs in this thread, but still looks chubby to me :)
LP - congrats on the course. Wow, Scarlet is going to be a tall girl Hope she bounces back quickly from the needles. W hasnt had the 4th month one, he was really unsettled last time
Noni, sorry about your DH. Hope he will find a good job soon. How is the solid going on, does it take a long time to prepare everyday?
Hayley - congrats on being an auntie! I am so happy for you. What a drama, thank goodness everything's okay. Poor your SIL, hope she gets over it soon. It broke my heart reading your post, cause I just watched video when W was born.
Sherie - good luck with the nick and stitch. Btw, what did you put on Alister skin last time? W has a rash around his cheeks, first I thought its just teething rash. It might be eczema though, cause I can see similar condition on his tummy as well :(
Btw cant wait to see Alister in action
MD - yay on E sleeping well
Katie & Arte - glad you guys had a wonderful time. Did you take photos of Will & Logan? Arte, Will is such a cutie and sitting down already!
Pregpan - we use car seat from the very beginning. Check toys r us, they sometimes have good bargain for safe n sound
Renee - Phuket sounds great. Ohhh no, now I am craving KFC popcorn chicken & twister LOL. Yay on Rory rolling!
ETA - LP I think above 37.7 is considered high. Try google it though
-
Hi everyone! I haven't posted in this thread before so ima jump right in.
What a little angel bub was today! I was having problems getting her to sleep at a decent hour, she'd go down any time from 10 30pm to 12 30pm for her final sleep. So when she woke up at 8:30am today i got her out of bed even though I knew she'd go back down in half an hour anyway, and I kept her up through her early evening nap and began her bedtime routine (bath, massage, feed, wrap) at 9pm. She was asleep by 9:40pm and hasn't woken up yet (its now 12:22am). Rock on!! :D
-
Arte, I 'think' they're best in the big bath, but I'm thinking of getting one and trying her out in the laundry sink, less bending.
Renee, do it, hun, EAT the KFC! Just get a small serve... Yep the book arrived less than 24hrs after I "buyitnow"ed!! Fantastic if you ask me, I'm already getting Zenner, long way to go though!
Hayley, I read on a website just yesterday you can now get 3 medicare-funded counselling sessions to do with any aspect of a current pg or a pg you had within the last 12 mths. She would need to see her dr but she could get a referral to a psychologist for a few sessions. Might help...I could've done with some formal counselling after my first DD was born! I'm sure talking with you will help her in the first instance, she really needs to get her feelings out and deal with the horrible what-ifs in order to move on. xxx
Agnes LOL tell me about the bald head shaving thing...why? I bet he looks funny though
Better go and jump in the shower while E is asleep, BBL to check new photos and look for Sherie's vid on Youtube!
ETA Welcome Baby Socks - rock on! Love it when they sleep when they're supposed to, hope it's the start of a much better pattern for you!
-
got some rescue remedy today heard it helps with anxiety gonna try it for my fear of flying problem wish me luck :)
regards to the gravy having chicken fat in it.. theres nothing wrong with that, thats how u make nice gravy dnt go off it just coz of that the only reason i mentioned it was because i saw ppl feeding it to their babies (eg 6mths old or so) and in my opinion thats wrong!!!
agnes - it dosnt take that long to prepare coz she dosnt really eat much i boil up some fruit or veges and puree them in the food processor and then i devide it up and freeze in these little food pots i have so theres like 3 serves in the freezer and i just alternate between veges and fruit each day.. if i want it to have rice cereal etc i just add that when i defrost it..
welcome baby socks!!
md n haley - you can get 6 medicare funded phsychiatrist visits too for whatever reason if ur friend needs em
-
Noni, I used rescue remedy on my cat and dog when they came over here and I am about to start using it for the trip back. It seemed to work very well.
Yesterday Will wasn't really sitting, more balancing for a few seconds but as soon as he moved it was all over. Now today he can sit for about a minute at a time and he can move his head and arms around while staying up. It is amazing how quickly he learned how to do it! What is the definition of a baby sitting? Is it when they can do it without using their arms to prop themselves up?
-
arte - yeah i heard it can be used on animals, bubbies too! i think if they can sit by themselves without assistance from someone or something other than themselves thats sitting :)
-
I'd be claiming it as sitting up art - lol - Scarlet is not even close to being able to that... What a clever boy!
Does the KFC gravy have chicken fat in it? I thought it would just be packet stuff, Like the potato..lol.. ew i hate KFC potato & gravy... Hm, I definately wouldn't feed it to Scarlet at all! let alone at 6mnths, It's pretty salty (to me, anyway).
Noni ~ I hope the rescue remedy works!
Hi baby socks, I would call you BS as they call me LP but i don't think that would be very nice! LOL
Aurelia is a v. pretty name :) What do you use for your massage time?
Hayley ~ I ♥ Your new ticker pic, Maddie is so cute! & you're so lucky she still fits in the kitchen sink. LOL.
ETA: BIG HIGH 5 TO MD & SHERIE! School holidays are almost over! WHooHoo.. hehe!
-
Noni I use RR for flying anxiety and it helps. I use the spray as I find it easier. Hope DP gets in a better mood soon...
Hayley, when S came out she was blue and floppy, and it did take some minutes for her to breathe. It's only in the last few weeks I've started playing it over in my head and as MD said it's important to be allowed to get past the "what ifs" (bloody good point MD). If anything I feel guilty for not being more concerned at the time but tbh I think I was in shock from the speed of the birth as well as the fact that she wasn't breathing. I do remember being absolutely convinced that everything would be OK at the time though: blinding faith, but DH admitted later he was pretty anxious. One of the nicest things the midwife did was come back into the room again after we were all settled and hold my hand and debrief with me, even though I didn't think I needed it at the time. I didn't really think about it until later. Having it explained that this wasn't uncommon also helped. Is there anyone at the hospy she can call to go over it with? Better to go through this sooner rather than later.
hi pregpan - glad to hear you are doing well.
YAy for your meetup katie & Arte!
hi baby socks - gorgeous baby name!
hi everyone else - talk later
-
queenie - thats nice that u got to debreif with the midwife!! i didnt lol i think it would have been helpful though as u said maybe a little later when u start thinking aboutit more... Ashas heart rate was going from 160 - 20 during contractions and we were rushed out of the birth centre to have a test where they *****ed her head to test her blood for oxygen i still have lots of what ifs but it is getting better...
lp - kfc potato and gravy is packet powder potato that u mix up with water and gravy mixture thats mixed with water and chicken "drippings" that drip off the chicken whilst its cooking and catch in a container underneath and becomes this hard chickeny fatty grease that they break up and mix in with their gravy lol.. sure turns you off when u first see it being made but u get over it lol...
-
hi lovely ladies! i've missed so much
lewis is being super clingy velcro boy atm and it's doing my head in. typing with one finger. he won't even let me go to the toilet without crying...
he's 66cm long and 7.6kg now.
katie and arte- glad your meet up went well. i wish we could all meet up for coffee....
does anyone else's bubs poo and vomit at the same time? lewis is a waste machine! oh, and then he laughs. he's such a boy!
-
Hi Gracie. How is your NYBT going? I have been trying quite hard over the last 6 weeks but only managed to lose 1.5kg, then it has all come back over the last two days! I haven't even been naughty so I am a bit discouraged at the moment.
Is Lewis doing the 3 month growth spurt thing? I know we went through a rather rough clingy patch around then. Will he cling to your DP to give you a break? Got everything planned for your proposal lol?
-
Some of you younger ladies (cos I'm so old, hahaha me and Jazmum, oooooooold LOL) won't remember the case about 10 yrs ago where a baby DIED in Victoria because its (drug-addicted I think) parents fed it nothing but KFC potato and gravy, poor thing had kidney failure.
But I agree Noni, the fat is what makes the gravy yummy. Not worth having without it IMO.
LP we've got another 2 full weeks of school hols here - that's ok, because my project is nearly finished so we won't be having boring stay at home time all week long! LOL Promised DD1 we'd make all of her Belville lego next week so she has Belville world to play with. She'll insist on having all the good stuff and I'll be left with the ppl missing hands, etc, and no treasure to speak of LOL.
Arte, wow on the sitting, E is still bendy in the middle LOL. He'll have lots of tricks to show off when you get home!
Gracie, I can (thankfully say) the voms and poos happen at seperate times, though she has a tendency to let rip with really bad wind - you think you've got to change her but nope - phantom poo! LOL Hope you get some time by yourself, the clinginess is really hard.
Queenie, that's great you got to debrief. You can always go back and talk further with them if you need to.
Well I went to the physio yesterday (sloppy pelvis STILL) and today I was waddling again at the shops...(!) Very sore too. Who would've thought ... it has put an end to my speculation about a 3rd baby though. Just gotta be thankful for what we've got, I think.
-
Oh Marydean, I wish you weren't still suffering with the effects of SPD. maybe you might think about it again in a few months.
Gracie, Lewis is diong so well hun. A doesn't poo and vomit at the same time though thankfully, but his farts are a bit dodgy sometimes and I have to check LOL. Hopefully Lewis will be past his clingy stage soon.
Hi Queenie! Is Miss S still on the improve? I had a de-brief of sorts with my midwife too - it's great to go over it all with someone like that and reflect on different things that happen.
Noni, there ain't much of the chicken that doens't get used at KFC LOL. I knew about the chicken fat in the gravy for ages, but it still tastes good to me - when we have a roast I use dripping to make the gravy.
Hi Baby Socks! Glad you made your way here. Have you been able to catch up on sleep today?
LP, are the big girls looking forward to starting school?
Still not much happening here. Still the same miserable weather. I went through all of Lindsay's old things to see if there was anything worth keeping for Alister, but so much of it has just gone either really yellow, or the elastic has perished, so I can't keep much at all. Luckily it was most of the cheaper stuff that I am getting rid of. So now I have heaps more room to store stuff now.
-
am making a vege lasagne tonight its a ww recipe let u know how it goes :) had a shocking few days on ww pulling it all back together today lol desperate to lose atleast .6 this week because i'll make it to my goal (the one that they set me thats right at the top of the healthy weight range) of 62kgs.. its been really rainy here so its hard to take the stroller out for a walk... since dp lost his job and he can be home i am gonna download a free 3 day pass to the gym up the road and go try out a class or two before my weigh in in hope it will do something!!!
oh md - thats sooo sad :( that poor little bubby you see imo the ppl at kfc should have tried (they may have idk) to tell them otherwise u know like u can buy a tin of food at woolworths for x amount potato and gravy really isnt nutritionally suitable..
sherie - i like the potato and gravy too just whats in it makes me question ppl who let their bubbies eat it thats all.. oh and re the yellow thing i heard a good wash and sticking them out in the sun (if we ever get any again) is a good remedy for that havnt tried it myself though..
-
Hi everyone - short post, DH has taken K for a walk to try and get her to have a sleep so I am supposed to be starting dinner. She has refused the afternoon nap today and yesterday.
We had a nice day, popped into town, got some new books for her at the library and went out for lunch. She was very good, just sat on our laps and looked around.
Great photos Arte and Sherie - K is nowhere near sitting.
Welcome Baby Socks
-
Noni I believe the police interviewed the ppl working at KFC but no one twigged. They lived up the road from the KFC and would buy it and take it home with them. It's terrible that something like that can happen and no one notices!
Sherie, did you get my PM? Just letting the 3rd baby decision settle for now. I feel a bit as if I'd be inviting disaster to try for a third when the Universe has already blessed us with a 2nd which for a long time I never thought I'd have. Just because 2 is good, 3 is not necessarily better!
-
thats sooo heartbreaking md!! suppose if they never see them feeding the baby the potato and gravy they just assume its two drug addicts who really like potato and gravy :(
-
thanks for your encouraging words girls about lewis' clinginess! it really is doing my head in. i've managed to put him the swing atm just so i can have a minute to myself.
arte- the nybc is not going too good. i went really well for a week or so but then i went out for breakfast one day and it tasted so good and it kind of all went downhill from there. it's just so much harder to be healthy iykwim? especially when i'm so tired, not getting much sleep and lewis is awake and clingy all day long. it's very hard to do the exercise that i need to do to lose this weight. i wish i hadn't eaten so much red rooster when i was pg lol! anyway, i haven't weighed myself yet but i've joined a fitness studio and i have my initial consultation on monday where they will do my weights, measurements etc. and work out a bit of a plan so i guess i'll just take it from there. would love to lose 10kg but i'd even just be happy with 5kg as a start iykwim?
the proposal is not happening...lol...i still reckon it's his bl88dy job! i do enough for him i reckon, i'm not doing the proposing as well! i guess he did move states for me..but still...i reckon he needs to get off his butt and do some proposing!!
lp- i forgot to say back there congrats on your course. we all knew you were talented. your paintings are unbelievable. i reckon you should set up a website and sell some online. i'll buy one!
re the kfc potato and gravy. i used to work at kfc in high school and the gravy is the melted fat taken from the bottom of the cookers mixed with a little bit of powder. not good for you at all...but nothing from kfc really is, i think that's the attraction of kfc...it's so bad that it's good!
-
Welll we had a good day at the shops today. Grandma spent a bomb at pumpkin patch, lucky Maddie. I bought Maddie a small Australia day flag to hold for Aus day (obviously!). Has anyone seen baby aus day onesies or t-shirts anywhere?
Gracie - Lewis will get over his clinginess soon enough. I'm sure they all go through the clingy stage, Maddie is just starting to cling to me a bit more now days. She even cries at DP sometimes. I'm still waiting for a proposal as well!! I would love to get married tomorrow. Speaking of exercise, I'm going to try to get to a body combat class tomorrow. I used to do it heaps before I was pregnant, I am soooo unfit now so I think I'm going to struggle through it! Good luck with your exercise plan.
Marydean - OMG thats disgusting the poor bub!! Yuck I wont be eating KFC potato and gravy myself now that I know whats in it, let along feeding it to Maddie. Thanks for your advice regarding the counselling sessions, I will definately mention it to her. I can imagine how something like that could stick in your mind for awhile, all the what ifs. It will do her good to talk about it and get it outta her system. Oh no sorry to hear about your pelvis...and you have two beautiful daughters and two is a nice number I think. If for some reason I couldnt have any more than 1, I'd be dissapointed, but so thankful for the one that I have if you know what I'm trying to say (i'm not being rude and saying be thankful, more trying to say you are so lucky...oh god I cant explain I hope you know what i mean!!!!)
Cally - Maddie is no where near sitting either! I hope you got her to sleep. :)
Noni - Have fun at the gym!
Queenie - Wow so nice of the midwife to talk the birth over with you. I think I needed something like that. DP and I had a big talk though, and he went through things I couldnt remember with me. Talking really does make you feel so much better. How is S going with her clicky hip?
Hayley - Aw thanks I love the pic too (thought it was about time I updated), she has a bigger cleavage than mummy!Maddie only just fits in the sink!!! I really need to move her to the laundry or the actual bath. The kitchen sink is just so easy hehe! No I am planning on getting a bath seat soon.
Baby socks - Well done on the routine woo hoo!!
Agnes - I sympathise with you about daddy only seeing bubs early in the morning and late at night. It sucks for DP, he wishes he had more time with her. Will sounds like he is doing really well, yay a toothie!! Wow did you film Will's birth? How amazing! One thing I regret about my birth is that I never had photos of me labouring & walking up and down steps trying to bring on contractions. Next time I guess.
Has anyone's bub ever had like a rattling chest? Ha that sounds a bit strange, but for the past few days Maddie has been sounding a bit blocked up in the chest, when I put my ear to her back with each breath she sounds a bit rattly - like she has a cold. I can even feel it when I'm holding her. She doesnt have a runny nose, high temp and hasnt been upset so I'm wondering if the milk has just been collecting on her chest and making her gunky iykwim. Does anyone have any advice, should I be taking her to the doc?
-
was having a little anxiety over the upcoming trip so decided to try the rescue remedy, its strange deffinately done something though i mean i dnt feel completely at ease but much better iykwim? tastes like wine though not a plus for me haha
haley - id take her to the doc just to be on the safe side sounds like everything is going well but if it is the beginning of something itd be much easier if u cought it now :)
gracie - *snap* i worked at kfc as a teen too and maccas lol shame!!! i think ur right about the thing that draws you in is the fact you know its sooo bad lol
-
Hayley, no you're not being rude I understand exactly what you're saying, it's about understanding how blessed I am already. Which is how i feel
-
hayley- maddie is the cutest little thing in that kitchen sink. i hope you're right about lewis and his clingyness. he is in love with me!!!
noni- can't believe you worked at maccas as well! my dp worked at maccas. did you ever pick up boys in the drive through??? i did lol
well, speaking of the whole - having 2 thing (md!!!), dp and i have been being a bit stupid with the contraception thing. i went on the mini pill for a bit but it started giving me massive headaches at night so i went off it. then we decided to just withdraw for a while (not great, i know, but we don't dtd very often...)
but the last few times we've just done nothing....i know, i know, we're playing with fire. i am still bfing a lot and i haven't had af yet...and our attitude is..if it happens, it happens. i know it would be super hectic but part of me thinks it would be kind of cool to have 2 close together and get it over and done with while we're doing well financially and there's no pressure on me to work. i also think there's value in the kids being close and always having a 'friend'. do you guys think i'm crazy? what is your honest opinion?
md- sounds like you've made your decision to have 2, and what a beautiful 2 they are!
-
LOL Gracie, you might get burnt carrying on like that ;) If you don't have any problems with getting a nice surprise then I reckon thats great. it is so hard to know when the right time to have another one is.
Hayley, some kids can get a bit congested from having milk and they get really phlegmy, but have you been keeping her under air con a lot lately? Alister had a few bad nights (Wednesday was really bad) where he was really congested and blocked up and it was just from being under the air con. he is OK now and has cleared it all.
Noni, hows the head hun? How much of that stuff do you need to have?
I forgot to say hello to Agnes before too! Long time no see hun.
Someone asked earlier what I did for Alisters skin (was it you Agnes?) and all I use is Alpha Keri oil in his bath (every 2 days) and some cortisone cream, but I only use it once a week now since learning that it isn't suitable for long term use or children.
Alister is far from being able to sit up - he only does it in his rocker chair because of the way his bum fits in it LOL.
-
Gracie, we have been doing exactly the same as you re contraceptives. I also don't have AF back and we don't DTD very often. I am a little worried at the moment though - DTD the other night, then noticed EWCM the next two days along with a massive headache that I vaguely remember getting around ovulation. That scared me into being a little more careful I think. I would love to have them really close, just don't think I could manage with a bub and morning sickness.
Sherie, your photos of Mr A are very cute, he is still grinning as he hits the ground lol. There must be no stopping him now if he can topple out of his rocker and then roll where ever he pleases.
Haley, your ticker pic is very cute
We got W a big boy seat for the bath tonight, he seemed to enjoy it. Very tired, up every 1-2 hours last night. Hoping for better tonight.
-
Arte, does the seat have suction cups on the bottom of it? and do you wash him first and pop him in for a play? I've often looked at those but never bothered buying one. Yeah he was smiliing as he hit the ground LOL. I was sitting in front of him taking pics and he was smiling away and then he just went over.
-
Sherie, it does have suction pads. DH does bathtime but I think he just stuck him in it and poured the water over him. We could manage without one but DH likes to have both hands free (think he worries about W being too slippery to keep hold of)
-
lol gracie - pick up boys in the drive through i wasnt confident enough or good looking enough for that!!! wow @ the if it happens it happens thing i mean for me i cant even think about it but for some ppl yeah it works really well.. go with what feels right hun if thats what you want then yeah it will be hectic but very rewarding :)
sherie - rescue remedy is just a natural thing it does have a small percentage of alcohol but not enough to do anything lol... i feel alot better after having it its just two sprays on the tounge i assume when faced with the actual fear it wouldnt be as good.. the reason i got it though is because i was perscribed valium to help me which i will probably need for the flight but i dnt want to be taking it for two weeks in the lead up iykwim so i thought id try this stuff so far so good we will see...
arte - hope you get your better night tonight sending sleepy bubba vibes your way!!!
-
evening everyone,
To all those with new pics and ticker...just gorgeous. We really have a great looking bunch of babies dont we.
I tape ER each week and just watched last weeks episode, I think it has made me feel really emotional... no idea why though lol. I feel emotional in a good way though, I feel so lucky. I have such a wonderful life, I married the most awesome man on the planet, have a beautiful home and the most perfect little baby in the whole entire universe as well as a fantatsic family.....life is great!
Gracie we are using condoms but we have a had a few chats about when to have number two. We are thinking maybe after Logan turns 1 we will start TTC, will have to wait and see as it is a while off yet. I am like you though and figure if it happens sooner then its all good.
Hayley Logan gets a bit of a rattle in his chest, the Dr had a listen and said it is nothing to worry about unless he has a fever or is generally unhappy too. If it will put your mind at ease though then go and see the Dr.
Arte we are thinking about getting one of the bath seats too, I think Logan will love it.
MD sorry to hear your pelvis is still giving you troubles, I hope it gets sorted out quickly.
Sherie that pic of Alister falling is hillarious and lol at him laughing while falling... to cute.
I hope you all are having a fab weekend. Who has plans for next weekend anything exciting?
-
hi everyone
logging on a little late, and i've enjoyed reading all of your posts, but too tired to respond to all.
Hi to bilby, baby socks and welcome back agnes :)
gracie - i was reading somewhere today about using breastfeeding as a form of contraception. it said that while you are exlusively breastfeeding and there is no more than 4 hours between feeds that you are fairly safe. I fell pregnant with Zoe when Jess was 9 months and that has worked out well for us. I'm thinking now that a 4th would be nice - a playmate for Hannah, but i think i'll wait until she is walking around and getting into mischief before i make that decision. I don't think dh is keen to go for a 4th though.
does anyone else cry when they watch shows of babies being born? i've seen a few lately on the discovery health channel, and i cry everytime!!! brings back wonderful memories of birthing my beautiful girls :)
noni - i hope that the spray helps :) maybe turn the tv off in the lead - up to your flight, so you don't catch any movie previews or new items ;)
hi sherie, hi arte - i see you're both still awake eta hi katie
does anyone sterilise by just using the boiling method? did anyone read in this months issue of Practical Parenting with regards to sterilising?
I'd best go to beddiebyes now, as i have a feeling Hannah is going to wake up a couple of times tonight.

Hi Jaz! Oooooh I am norti and don't sterlise anymore - hot soapy water is the go here. I haven't brought a PP mag in ages. I always get choked up when I see a baby being born - it's worse when it's a real birth and not a dramatised one on a show.
Katie, DH is working over the long weekend, so we don't have any plans. We may be going out to a friends place on Wednesday though, but not sure at this stage.

Katie - Aww that is so beautiful! I'm glad that you are loving life! :)
Sherie - Oh the air con! Never thought of that. Yes we have had a few hot days here and she has been in the air con. Also I noticed at day care the air con is really cold which I thought was a bit unusual. I'm going to watch her for the next day or so and see how she goes. I have to work Mon & Tues so if she gets worse, too bad I have to call and say I wont be in!!
Gracie - Thats so cute that Lewis loves you so much! He will get over it, in the meantime enjoy the extra cuddles and loving because once he is a teenager it will be uncool to hug mum! (I know its yrs away but my parents always say that time has gone so fast with us girls) I definately dont think that its a bad idea having bubs so close together, they will grow up together and that will be really nice. I havent started on my pill yet because it scares me, but lately we rarely dtd anyway. I can say though that I want Maddie to be at least 2 when the next one arrives hehe.
Arte - I must get one of those bath seats for my chubba, she needs to graduate to the big girls bath.
Noni - Thanks for your advice re Maddies rattly chest - if it doesnt improve within the next couple of days I'll def go to the doc. At the moment she is happy and her usual self so I'm not overly worried, but I'm really keeping an eye on her. My sister suffers from bad anxiety and that rescue remedy does wonders for her.
