Wow been busy in here, took me ages just to catch up.
I have a friend and her 4 month old here for the weekend. She is so much bigger then Logan.
I bought a box of 100 infants nappies at babies galore yesterday as I am down to the last 10 newborn. the box was $40.

So there is a size of Huggies between newborn and crawler? I thought it looked like a big leap in size.
I don't have a sling but have been meaning to get one. Unfortunately the car decided to break down when DH was on the way home from work on friday so we are a bit housebound this weekend.
My blood sugar is o.k but not great. I have to go in for the GTT next wednesday so I guess I will find out soon enough.
I spoke to a lady from Kimberley Clark and she confirmed my thoughts - the hospital had smaller huggies than the 'newborn' ones U buy from the store. The lady said that they make two lines because some newborns are even too small for the small size. They do not sell them though. Apparently the infant i think it is is from 4-6kg and the newborn nappies are up to 5kg. I haven't cracked open the larger bag of nappies to have a look at them yet, but you think there is a big jump Artechim? mmmm
there have been some red lines around T's leg and i told DH not to put the nappy on too tight. I wonder if she is growing out of them.
Ikea - just bought some face washers pack of 10 for $4.95 - figure they'll be good for burping moments and to keep in the nappy bag to wet for those JIC moments.
Is it just me or do you little ones find that weeing on the changetable a good idea once you have used a cold wipe to wipe their bottom? T is doing this frequently lately.
SupaB, I noticed the difference between the newborn (up to 5kg) and the crawler (6-11kg). W is gettting too big for the newborn, but isn't big enough for the crawler. I guess the infant size fills the gap for 5-6kg.
W used the change table opportunity to wee and poo almost every nappy change to start with. It still happens but with less frequency now.

Everyone except me has come down with a dreadful head cold...we are officially the house of snot! Poor Broni is the worst atm and therefore lots of sleepless nights and constant whinging...thank god for chewable panadol!! :pray:
Afew nights ago Jasmin had her first arsenic hour...well actually...it lasted for 5hrs! We finally figured out that it was from the garlic in my lunch :( Poor thing was pooing like there was no tomorrow and it had a very distinctive smell. It took a cpl of days to get fully out of her system, so we had a few rough feeds and several hours of screaming along the way. Then the poor little bug gets a head full of snot!
I've done a little bit of work over the past few weeks, but i work for myself so i can slot it in when it suits me.
Yes, we've DTD a few times now with no problems. I had no problems with my labour and no tears/stitches, so i was ready to go once my lochia had finished. The thing i always worry about is whether it still feels the same as before....ie not any looser!!!:lol: But i'm a mad pelvic floor exerciser, so i think i've got it all under control...and my partner assures me its all in good order down there lol. Falling preg again is also another worry, but i'm taking the mini pill so fingers crossed thats enough.
Ok well thats all i have time for atm...Jasmin is wriggling in my arms here. bbl to catch up some more...

Re: DTD we have not done it yet but I went out and bought some condoms yesterday. Dont want anymore suprises. I have to book DH in for the snip for next month. I am not really sad about not having anymore babies as I think for me 3 is enough and feel truley blessed to have them.
Olivia is chucking as well. I have also bought the next size up in nappies the newborn ones are just starting to get tight on her.

Gracie - i remember when Jess was a baby, that the midwives confused me as well. I was getting so stressed worrying about how long she was feeding on each side. (i had a book where i would write absolutely everything down) It got a little better with Zoe, but with Hannah i find i'm much more relaxed because i let her tell me when she is hungry and whether she's had enough. I'm glad that it's all working out for you both now :)
Supa- Hannah loves to wee when her nappy is off. I especially like it when she does it while Daddy is changing her nappy hehe.
Ele- hope the family's snotfest comes to a halt really quickly ( hope you don't get it either)
Well, yesterday i got my haircut and had it all taken off. I've got a nice short style now that i don't have to do anything with - except run my fingers through it. Washing my hair this morning was wonderful.
I've got Hannah in the Hab right now, as she wanted to go to sleep and i've got to tidy the house (should be doing that now actually)

no news really on this front but thanks for asking Gracie! ;) Marydean is going to post for me when junior finally arrives. Heh heh!! Same old semi-painful contractions story, a bit more weird mucus today (another pre-show warm-up band?? ROFL), frantic cleaning (baby shower may have had something to do witht hat though), little sleep again... mega-emotional... craving chocolate... feeling a bit nauseated (possibly from chocolate)... sound familiar?? hey, within 3.5 weeks at least something should have happened! Though if my nose was anything to go I'd be saying the "show" had well and truly started! SOOO much snot so Jazmum and 1127, I guess we could start a snot collective :lol:
Renee I'm so sorry but we forgot to take any piccies at the baby shower today!! Will have to make it up to you ;) We were too busy enjoying ourselves sitting around drinking tea & eating instead... a small group of my best girlies & close family. Got SPOILED: a rocker, carrier, playmat, toys, useful baby items, funky clothing... the baby room is looking well and truly furnished now. I am ALMOST at the stage of thinking that the baby can safely arrive now and it'll all be good! (although a few weeks for leisure would be nice!! just need to be able to relax and sleep - and do the sodding TAX) Reading everyone's posts post-labour and in the early weeks is so helpful...
Take care everyone - Sherie I'll ask the ob tomorrow about which way they measure engagement in the practice. From the sensations I've been getting I suspect it's 4/5 below not above! Plus I did an Ella-style DIY and all I could feel was a VERY hard bony object pressing on the front of my vaginal wall - couldn't even get up towards my cervix - which I am assuming was the little one's noggin.
OMG Queenie - i just saw your ticker - YOU ARE FULL TERM!!!! wow wow wow wow wow so exciting and from what you are saying I think it is all going to happen soonish...
I know Pregpan - I just updated the pic and then looked at the days left and thought OMG - it really has flown... then again the contractions settled right down again so NFI! hey sounds like EVERYONE's labour!! I guess we just have to wait and see as relaxedly as possible and just enjoy this last bit (she says having been awake since 5am AGAIN ROFL). Maybe I should try channelling your cervix and invoking the labour gods... or just sit on my a$$ and try to do a jigsaw?? or maybe the quiche was the magic ticket!
SupaB one task I have set myself is to collate some recipes so I will email you soon! hopefully making the Christmas cake this week...
oh - and did anyone else's boobenheimers get REALLY sore in the last few weeks? I have started wearing a croptop to bed which means yet ANOTHER thing I have to remember to pick up off the bedroom floor and stuff in the labour bag...

Queenie, sooo glad you enjoyed your baby shower yesterday - sounds like you were spoiled in the manner you deserve! Try not to make yourself mad wondering about every little twinge, hun, you WILL know when it's the real thing! Prolly about 15 mins after you sit down to do the tax, hehee!
Jazmum, sounds like you've been giving the HAB a real work out - I haven't tried mine yet (bit scary with the wound infection and all) but had a decent long walk yesterday and came home with a sore back but no wound pain so we'll give it a try today!
Gracie, I breathed a big sigh of relief for you when I read you're post, you've turned a corner when you stop agonising over all the nurses say-so and start trusting your own sense of what you need to do and not do - this is one of the great secrets of happy mothering! :)
Sherie, well I didn't find a non-egg-separating recipe but DH whisked the egg whites for me and the pudding was delish! I have a teensy lemon tree in a pot with four more lemons on it...guess what they'll be used for!
Very extremely happy to report that we finally made it out to Floriade yesterday (and not a moment too soon as it was the last day LOL). Luckily not all the tulips were dead, DH brought a foldup chair so I could have a couple of extra sit-downs, and it was a gorgeous day. Hard to tell who was the most pooped when we got home - MD or Elisabeth!
Anyone else still getting up umpteen times a night?...we've been having a 1.00 3.30 and 6.00 pattern which has not yet evolved into longer stints *yawn*.
MD - I totally have to get upa few times in the night - i do a feed between 12.30 and 1.30, then 3.30ish and then 5.30ish.... hmmm do you think he will drop a feed?
have been trying the last few days to get him to take 2 sides, as i thought this may makw him drag out feeds more - say 3 hourly in day (he feeds every 2 hrs or so sometimes) - i am not sure it is working, he doesnt seem to be wanting the 2nd side often so i guess this is ok...but i am still trying to drag out feeds a bit... i feel like a slave to his feeding!
we are starting Gymbaroo today - i cant beieve i am taking him to a 'class' at 4 weeks... i think it is a mix of physical stuff i do with him (games), music and play - i am doing it also to meet some more new mums (it is for non mobile babies) and i hope he enjoys it - i dont mind if he sleeps thru it at the start!
we had a bit of a milestone yest - noah was on his playmat and he stretched out to grab the toy we have hanging off it, and now he keeps doing it - amazing!!!!
we went to a wedding yesterday - was beautiful and Noah was soooo good!!
ETA - Queenie - i wanted to go on all 4s originally, I ended up in a position that was similar - kind of like a reclined all 4s - was on the bed but the bed was more upright to help gravity and i had legs right back - being held back (way back near my head it felt like - by midwife and DH... i was meant to hold thighs as well i think but i kept grbbing some bar behind my head... the midwife showed me this position as i liked all 4s but it was hurting my knees... hmmn not sure i described that so well but i do recommend the position!

Well I am starting my diet today and start weight watchers on wednesday. I have to get rid of all this chub. I had an ok weekend yesterday the garage door stopped working so today I am waiting for a man to come and fix it. I hope we dont have any storms today as my car is outside.

Pregpan -I have to wake once during the night, usually at about 2:30am. It takes me about an hour to get back to bed. Hannah is a couple of weeks older than Noah, so it might happen soon for you. I hope you had fun at Gymbaroo today.
Leanne- i should really join you on the WW diet. My DH and i did it together (we just bought the recipe books and did it ourselves at home) after Zoe was born, and i lost a lot of weight. I'm too hooked on my cup of tea and bikkies at the moment though.
I bought some Baby Love nappies today - Infant nappies for 4-8kg - packet of 48 for $16. I haven't used them yet, so i'll try them next nappy change and see how they go.
Oh god. Dwayne was just telling me last night how much he loves having a son. He then went on to tell me he wants to start trying for a 2nd when Rory is crawling! WHhhhhaaaat!

Leanne and Jaz, I'm going to join up with WW again too - me size is getting me down a little ATM. I have had great success with it before so I know it works for me at least.
Queenie, god I wish I looked as good as that when I was at term. And you will know the 'real thing' when it happens - they are quite unlike BH's. My boobs got sore towards the end too and felt very heavy. I have always given birth in a semi reclined position and bring my knees up to my chest when pushing and ten relax them in between contractions. For the first part of labour I keep as active as I can.
Marydean, I would like to go to floriade one year. I really liked the theme for this year. I wish our lemon tree only grew 4 lemons LOL - we had so many we had no idea how to use them all. I juiced a lot and froze the juice in portions so we'll always have juice handy, make cakes and lemon cordials, a meringue and preserved a few too.
Pregpan, what did you end up wearing to the wedding? I have no idea when Noah will drop a feed, but he must be getting plenty from the one breast to not need the other. Soon he will be having another growth spurt around 6wks so he may want more then.
Alister had a great night last night - went from his last feed at 8pm and woke up at 5am this morning. I couldn't believe it when I looked at the clock. I think it was a one off though due to him not having his usual amount of sleep during the day yesterday. I have these little bonds pants on him today and DH reckons they make him look like a Russian gymnast LOL. I took a pic and I'll post it later.
ETA - Renee, tell him he's having the next one LOL - that might put a damper on it. Or you hope that Rory doesn't start crawling for a long time ;)

I cant get Rory to sleep over 4 hours during the night. I know I shouldnt be complaining though because he is 4 hourly on the dot and goes straight back down. If I feed him more will he sleep for longer or just spew it back up??? Or will he just start to go longer as he gets older?? He does sleep quite a bit during the day.
Renee - I fell pregnant with Zoe when Jess was 9 months old. (we were trying) My DH was keen to have a small age gap, i wasn't as keen at the time, but i am so glad that we did. The girls are the best of friends. I think Rory will just sleep for longer as he gets older. I tried feeding Hannah later at night, but she still wakes at around the same time.

I think Rory will just go at his own pace. I give Alister more at night if he wants it, but it doesn't alter the length of sleep for him. Sometimes he will sleep for longer even if he doesn't have as much too.
Jaz, we had close age gaps with the older three. I was 8wks pg by their first birthdays, except for Paige so it was weird not to be pg for her 1st birthday LOL. And they are good mates too.
OMG you are freaking me out with all this talk of next pregnancies, when I have just spent an hour googling my contraceptive options to tide me over until permanent measures can be taken!!!
Sherie - Interesting what you say about the feeding not really relating to how long they sleep at night - that must be one of those urban myths.
I'm wondering about Mbear too - really hope everything's ok there!
Pregpan - hope you enjoy your Gymbaroo, sounds like you're doing all sorts to get yourself a good social network going. PM me if you ever want to hook up for a coffee ... I'll be out and about independently in a couple of weeks (FINALLY)! I'm sure Noah will stretch out between feeds - eventually - it's just a case of when - when they're good and ready to I think!
Leanne, good on you for starting WW, I'm going back to my dietician next week (I *still* don't know how much I weigh post baby, I'm thinking those pink timtams haven't helped LOL).
Feeding at night- Olivia feeds around 7.30 or 8.00pm then around 11.30 or 12.30 some time even 1.30 then again around 4.30 5.00 am.
Renee- Rory should start sleeping longer when he gets a bit older but then again all babies are different. Olivia is so different to the boys. I remember the boys being so much better.
Sherie & Jaz- Did you find it hard having babies so close together when they are young. I am finding it hard having 2 year olds and Olivia. I know it will get easier.
OK: Sherie you were right - the ob measures how many 5ths palpable so the baby was only 1/5 engaged last week! I'd been so proud! :cryinglaugh: BUT it is measuring 2/5 today (i.e. 3/5 engaged) so at least there's a bit of action... Jaz the thing that had me wondering was that the contractions DID feel diff to BH - building in intensity and with pain! in fact, as I type - but they are still sporadic and tend to bugger off after a bit. My belly DOES look really weird during - all bunched up on the right hand side around where the baby is like some form of mutant melon. But hey, at least my ute is revving up! No rush.
Renee - wow, sounds very soon, but it is lovely seeing so many babies close together!
Leanne - I don't remember it being a difficult time, but then again i didn't have 2 toddlers to deal with. You must be a very busy lady!!!
I think I need to look at WW or something too as all the flab is getting me down. I am getting annoyed at not fitting anything but don't want to buy clothes at this size. I don't have much appetite and I am still having waves of nausea when I am breast feeding which doesn't help much. I only really want to eat milkshakes and Ice-cream.
I am worried about Ella, sounded like she was having a hard time when she posted the other day and she hasn't been back. Hope she is o.k.
Will is sleeping at night usually from around 9.30-12.30 then 1-4 then 4.30-7am. He is actually sleeping today, poor little thing has big black rings around his eyes because he is so tired but I usually can't get him to sleep more than a few hours during the day.
I think we are going to start trying for #2 when Will turns one, so hopefully it would be around two years difference in age.
Arte, I hear you on not wanting to buy clothes to fit properly. I have a few things, but nothing *good* if we have to go out anywhere. I am going to buy at least one outfit though just to get me by.
Leanne, It wasn't too bad when I had Erin as Lindsay was a very easy going kid and didn't give me much trouble at all. Plus he had himself in a really great routine that fitted nicely with Erin. When I had Paige on the other hand LOL, Erin was at that stage where she seemed like two kids sometimes ;) She was into everything and I had some pretty trying times, but thankfully Paige was a brilliant baby and slept alot of during the day so it worked out OK. The best thing about it was I could get them to have sleeps at the same time and I didn't lose out on much sleep myself.
Queenie, sorry hun, that would have been a bit deflating - I shouldn't have said anything. But at least things are on the downhill run so to speak ;)
Marydean, we have an appoinment on Thursday to discuss permanent solutions too. It's also my post natal check up.
Comparing all my kids and their feeding patterns, Alister and Paige have been the best in terms of night feeds because they both only do the one feed, but Erin was a classic every 2hr feeder and Lindsay was between 3-4hrs. So far the older three were all doing 12hrs overnight by 6-7wks, and I am really hoping that Alister follows suit, but if he keeps the same feeding pattern for a while that wont be so bad either. He has picked up an extra day feed now that he is awake during the day for longer, so he has 6 feeds now - with one short sleep and one long sleep.

OooOO Ladies I am having my first night out in Nov!! Me and the girls are going to a Hypnotist show in the city. My first time going out without my little Rory. I havent been without him since he was born. I havent even popped down the shop without him!!!!
oh dear girls, I had a curry yesterday and poor DD is suffering today, she has so much wind, spewing and letting off. I feel terrible for her and she keeps crying and crying - been awake for hours now.
Does anyone have any remedy for her?

Yuk. I was just holding Will waiting for a bus and he spewed all over me. Now I have to wait an hour for the next bus to come along.
Supa and Arte - I went for Indian a week or 2 ago and Noah was quite upset that night and the following day - I think it was the spice - so I am now avoiding it for a while - not easy as I love spicy food... sorry I dont know any remedies... for me I just had to wait out the time...

All well here - Noah had an extremely disturbed night, i think he had some wind and then even when that was 'cleared' so to speak he just wanted to be up with mummy and sleep on my chest - gorgeous but tiring.. i was up most of the night... we dont have much planned today - an old friend from school who now lives in Scotland is in town so we are meeting up for a walk or coffee this afternoon and that's it so I think we will take it easy... I may get her over here for coffee if he isnt more settled later... Gymbaroo was wonderful yesterday - he loved it!!! And even at 4 weeks most of the things we could do together which was great... for me it was excellent as it gave me some things to do with him play wise - I havebeen making things up but it is hard to think of things to 'do' with a newborn and he is getting more active and alert and seems to want to do things so this was great. I am looking fwd to next week already!
DD has been up since 6! She catnapped for 15 minutes, but that's all. I'm really missing my morning nap.
With the HAB can bubs be in it swaddled up? We have a baby bjorn, but I'm worried if I put her in that and she falls asleep, because she isn't swaddled she will wake up again when I take her out. My upper back is so sore from lugging her around all morning. DH wanted the baby bjorn, so it is all sized up for him and it seems tricky to make it fit me.
I hope Ella is OK, she didn't sound happy in her last post. With my massive cracks, the thing that made the biggest difference was feeding lying down for 2 days. The change of position made a huge difference and they healed up straight away.
Well I still have that lump under my arm. Went to the doctor on Friday who gave me an ultrasound referral (go in tomorrow), but he also found another one on the other boobie!! And that one hasn't gone either, so I have to get both sides checked out. I asked him what they could do if it is blocked ducts that won't clear themselves and he had no idea. That article Sherie linked too talked about therapeutic ultrasound, so I have left a message with the nurse asking if she knows anything or if I can talk to the LC.
Pregpan - when do you do a nappy change in relation to feeds? We do it after the first side, so she wakes up and is interested in the second side, otherwise she wouldn't go on at all. DD is typically 4 hours between feeds, but who knows if that is related to how much she gets to drink!
Bit worried about these Indian stories - I got a curry out of the freezer last night for tonight's dinner. Sounds like I might have an unsettled night ahead of me!
Arte - bummer about the change of clothes, what a pain! They never seem to spew on you when you have a cloth covering yourself do they??
Sherie - wow, 12 hr sleeps at 6 wks!! I am so jealous. I am really struggling with the sleep deprivation still and I have it so easy compared to some of you others. 4 hr feeds, sometimes longer, no other kiddies to look after, DH helps out heaps around the house.
MD - I can second the recommendation for Stephanies in Kingston. That's where I'll be heading when I next make it up to Canberra.

We went to the pead yesterday for Logan's 6 week check up, all is fantastic and Dr very happy with his progress. I am off to the OB for my 6 week check up this afternoon.
Found DH has to go away for work on Thursday. He has a mate here this week so I am hoping he will be gone before then, he is a nice guy but I dont really know him and it will be weird having him here with out DH. We are flying to Sydney on Friday night and DH will be cutting it close to make the flight, I may have to go on my own.
I have a quick question. Logan started feeding every 2 or so hours for the last couple of weeks, I put it down to the heat. He is also wasnt sleeping very much durring the day. I started to worry about my supply and if he was getting enough so I gave him a bottle of formula on Friday afternoon. He had the full bottle (he had had a BF 2.5 hours earlier) and went to sleep. Woke up 4 hours later for a feed. I aslo did this on Saturday and the same thing happened. Do you think he is not getting enough from me?
Katie hun, please don't think that you don't have enough milk for Logan. Remember that formula is harder for babies to digest, particularly if they are BF and it stays in their belly for longer, meaning they often sleep longer or are content for longer. BM is a lot easier for them to digest, so they often need more feeds sometimes - it is completely normal for a BF baby to feed up to 12 times a day - even if it is exhausting for us. Despite not sleeping, is he reasonably content between feeds? My second was a very frequent feeder and grizzled a lot between feeds when she wasn't sleeping and eventually my milk did run out (but this was due to me being under a lot of stress at the time) and when on formula she didn't change at all - still was grizzly so it was just her temperament. You have done so well to establish BF and I would hate for you to be lulled into a false sense of security by the formula feeds and lose the BF relationship. And the more he feeds the more you make, but in saying that, you are the only one who knows your baby best.
Cally, gosh I hope they can sort the lumps out for you. I assume that the 2nd one is painless if you didn't know it was there? I thank my lucky stars every day that I have always had great sleepers. Mind you, i didn't get 12hrs sleep, it was great to have time to myself/ourselves at night.
Pregpan, I'm glad you liked gymbaroo, it will be a great social network for you. I wish we had stuff like that out here, we really miss out on a lot. Don't you just love it when they want to cuddle all night? When mine were like that I would lay on the lounge with them and at least I could doze and they were happy being held.
Arte and Supa, I know some BF mums will 'pump and dump' if they know they are having something that will upset bubs, but you have to have some EMB for them instead though.
Renee, Lindsay was 6mths old before I left him anywhere LOL, it was so strange being somewhere without him too. That is one thing FF makes easier though, we can leave them with other people for a while kwim?

I have a tired little man here this morning. He hasn't had a sleep since he woke up at 8 and he is nodding off, but can't quite get there kwim? He is happy enough though, but I think I will have to give him cuddles to sleep soon or he will be way over tired.

Pregpan - its SO good to hear its not just me being foolish with the curry! I love curry too and totally forgot it may affect her. My mum said once she had like a half punnet of strawberries and i screamed for the day or two also.

I just fed DD and she had like only 15-20 mins and fell asleep and there was NO waking her, similar to earlier this morning. Will my milk dry up because of this?
What a day yesterday. Poor DD was crying nearly for 8 hrs and was inconsolable (sp?) except for b/feeding. I am feeling a bit like i have broken my routine with her - i must be hard-nosed hey. She had so many feeds yesterday and no sleep, i am amazed she only slept for 5 hrs last night.
I want to apologise for my selfish posts recently, I think tiredness & grumpiness has set in. :doh:

super stressed out today :cry:
i'm not sure if it's just that stuff has piled on me the last few days or whether its the onset of PND....could be either or both.
Broni has been a super-sook lately and is constantly whining and whinging all day. She has to fight and argue against everything i want her to do which doesn't help either....plus she's always asking for daddy...."where's daddddyyyyyyyyy?"....even though she knows he's at work....she whines it allllll day. Totally getting on my nerves! Jasmin is also a bit funny with her feeding atm. I'm trying to get her used to bottle feeding i will be working a lot between now and xmas and she will need to be looked after by someone else other than me. She's been struggling with it, but seems to be getting the hang of it the last day or so. But....she's also been a bit difficult....lots of crying....lots of little feeds/naps instead of her big ones. Probably a growth spurt....and most likely picking up on my stress too.
I had a huge screaming match with my partner last night. It didn't last too long but it was a 9.5 on the richter scale. I had 2 screaming kids....the dinner dishes were crusting over and piled up in the sink....the bath needed to be run and the garbage put out.....and he toddles off after eating into the garage to play with his new wood-cutting saw :wall: Meanwhile, i was desperate for a shower and an early night...not to mention a break from the kids. He came in a couple of times, just for a few minutes.....but was out there until about 9.30 until i cracked it. Then of course, it's all my fault for not asking for help! Jasmin's screams were almost window shattering so i dunno how he didn't figure it out for himself :doh: Anyway....he's not speaking to me now (great conflict resolution skills) and he slept on the spare mattress in another room.
Guess we'll see what happens when he gets home this evening...
Thanks Sherie. Yesterday I decided to try and change the way I feed a little and am trying to get him to take both sides at each feed so he is fuller for longer. I have a feeling he was just getting a little lazy and I was putting the bb away to quickly. He is happy between feeds, putting on weight and overall thriving. Think I was just having a moment of self doubt.
Supa your day yesterday sounds terrible, I hope your dd is doing better today. No need to apologise for your posts. We all understand what it is like.
ETA Eleven we were posting at the same time, I hope things are better at home tonight.
