MM - why do grandparents insist on feeding bubs yucky food - they don't know what they're missing!! MIL has asked a few times if K has had ice cream yet. Last time I flat out said 'she won't be having anything unhealthy for a while because I don't want her to develop her fathers bad eating habits'. (He can eat a family size block of chocolate between the supermarket and home). Must admit that I haven't wanted to leave K with MIL by herself now she is on solids as I'm not 100% sure she won't slip something extra in her lunch. Although she knows that DH would have a go at here if we found out.
Maybe we call the ****tail frankfurts 'little boys' because we had all girls in our family. That was just what mum called them (she was from SA, need MD to come back and tell us if that is what they are over there).
Think I have a coldsore. Not impressed. Will be very hard to keep it away from K if I haven't already given it to her.

arte - yes she had a miscarriage last November. Her fiance has a 5 year old boy that lives with them, but this will be her first.
Cally - my dh is total opposite - he will happily pay for someone else to do something if it means he can relax lol.
mm - i give Hannah Children's Inner health. Just a smidgen of powder on the edge of a spoon. You just buy it from the chemist. Does Maddie eat yoghurt? that can help as well. Poor little thing, she's not having a good run of late is she.
re the mother-in-laws - this is the time when you get dh to tell her that if she doesn't listen to you and follow your rules, you won't leave bubs with her.
a friend of mine was having issues with her MIL sticking her nose in - one day she'd had enough and told her to leave the house. MIL has respected her wishes ever since!

JaZMum: ohhh congrats to your sis! how exciting! i LOVE it when i find out people are having bubs! it's such a fantastic time. it's times like this that i wish i wasnt an only child as then i could also maybe of been an aunty one day.
I guess when talking about the joys of the 'outlaws' we are pretty lucky as all our family is really far away. this has benefits, but can also be a bit lonely. i remember when Leila was born all i wanted was my mum around the corner to go and visit.
Ozstar: dont you just love the way the kids know when we are about to do something for ourselves...leila is especially adept at waking up just when the food/coffee arrives!
MM: yeah that's a great question about the antibiotics. us adults have probiotics to take...i guess as JaZmum said, yoghurt might help...
Arte: LOL at Wil playing the water! Leila is always making a bee line for Stella's bowls...she also loves chewing on her gross toys...eewwwww.
Sherie: i hope that L gets better soon. especially with hols coming! do you guys have any plans for the break?
Cally: i am impressed that your DH can fix cars!! my DH is flat out knowing how to turn on the TV! we spend a fortune in maintenance and middlemen!
Have to put it out there that yes, in QLD we call 'em cheerios. when i saw the ads for the cereal i was like WT??? as young kids we used to be given them for free by the butcher when mum bought the weeks meat. BIG treat! we used to eat them then and there, but a few years ago the health dept told business that they couldnt do it anymore as it was considered 'raw' meat.
Clare - the other day when i was at Woolies, the lady in the deli offered me a cheerio to give to Hannah. I didn't take it though. She really enjoyed eating the cooked one she had the other day though. I don't know what's in them, and not sure i want to know either lol.
