YAY Rainy!!! Great news, hope the sickness passes soon.
MD - welcome back, glad that you got something out of QE2 and are feeling better about DH going away.

Marydean, you're so right - its a small price to pay in the overall scheme of things isn't it? Miss E is soooo clever! I bet the staff just loved her.
Clare, never say never about another baby - you just don't know what the planets have in store for youI know several women who were told they couldn't at all or couldn't have more than one and they all have several babies.
Jaz, I think so too LOL you and I will be the ones sitting in the corner growing feathers and quietly going 'cluck cluck cluck' LMAO.
G, I agree with MD, fairy overkill at this age - you have no idea how many sets of fairy wings/wands/tutus these girls have had. I second MD's idea of either a tape/cd player or even a read-along book with the CD. The girls have a few fairy ones like that (they have to be Shirley Barber's fairys too) and that I can handle because they are divine books.
H, how is Maddy today?
Pregpan, how are you feeling today?
hi all
thanks for asking - feeling quite a bit better today - lucky as we have a 2 yr old bday party to go to... cant really be bothered to tell you the truth.
kathmandu is having a sale and we are off to buy their baby carrier - think it will be good for doing some nice walks (like mt ainslie and red hill for the canberra knowledge ppl) and to take oseas...
i meanto to say MM N hasnt had antibiotics but i have been giving him inner health the last month since the gastro - i asked our gp about it as it said from 1 yr and he said just give a bit less than the dose (so i give about 1/4 tsp) as N is quite big!! (i forget how big maddie is) - i am sure it woul dbe ok for her. also you can buy live bio yoghurt which is what i have been using and adding fruit to it. thanks for the recipe - the bake went down a treat last night!!! i reckon you could add other vegies to it too like sweet pot or pot - yum!! i made a coconat bread this morning - delicious! we bought a coffee machine in the sales ( see a trend here) and so we had a delicious cafe style breakfast here in the homestead this morning.
N seems to have a little bit of nappy rash - the 1st time ever... i am using the weleda stuff so hope it clears soon/
Raniy - was my cousins daughter 3rd bday last weekend (when we went to syd) i bought her a scooter - it lights up when you ride it - it was on sale at toys r us for about $30 i think (i forget what your budget was). i also bought some other 3 yr olds (boy twins) a whole heaps of arts stuff the other week - i like the idea of something creative for them - paints, art paper, colouring books, play dough - you can get heaps of it for not too muich $$ - and the mum def commenred to me that it was a great pres and she can encourage some quiet play as well... so theres an idea from a novice!!
congratulations Gracie!!!!!!!!
thanks so much for all your congratulations girls. it's put such a smile on my dial
now, when i found out i was first pg i really wanted it to be another boy. i have no idea why, i guess i just thought it would be cool for lewis to have a brother...and i thought 2 boys would be so darn cute.
but then today we took the dog and lewis to the park and there was this other couple there with the most gorgeous little 3yo girl there called annabell (how cute is that name?).
anyway, she was running around with my dog and throwing the ball to her and kissing lewis and i thought....i think i want a girl! so she can share my love of animals and we can do girly stuff together. so gorgeous!!
anyway, thanks for all your tips about the pressie.
sherie- i've found heaps of the shirley barber books at an online bookshop. i'm so confused but i'm narrowing it down. they look fantastic. little girls love unicorns right?
Well, 5 inches of snow turns into a lot of watery mush. We are trying to move house this weekend. My brother came up to help and ended up being stranded here for the night. The roads finally opened about 3pm so DH has gone to get the last load of our stuff. It is hard to move with a baby. I can't do a lot to help because someone needs to be watching him all the time.
H, it isn't actually that cold when it snows. It is worse when it is windy with icy rain. I put Will in his snow suit and let him play in it but he didn't seem overly impressed.
Rainy, do they show 'In the night garden' over there? It is all the craze with 3 year olds here, my niece wanted all the toys for her 3rd birthday. It is a horrid show. W likes it. I wasn't going to say because I thought you wanted a boy, but my feeling is that you are having a baby girl.
MD, the roads around here get closed to all vehicles. DH tried to go the back way this morning but there was a massive slip blocking both lanes so they waited an hour for someone to come but no one showed so they came home again. How did the baptism go? Bet E looked adorable.
Hi Girls!!
it seems we have all been busy bees this weekend!!
Rainy: IKWYM! i sometimes think it would be lovely to have another girl, as leila has been such a breeze and you've been there done that with one...BUT, then i see my friends boys and go awwwww! all those gorgeous vests courdoroy trousers! too cute!
Arte: ha ha maybe we should start a 'what is G having poll?!' LOL. another friend of mine is pg with no2 and we have bets on that she's carrying a boy...aided by her 'feeling' that that's what it is! i had a feeling that i was going to have a girl. i remember when the sonographer told us, i was like, cool, just what i thought...LOL! DH was too concerned asking whether there was 1 or 2 bubs in there to hear her!
wowsers, that's quite alot of snow! hhmm moving with a bub and blocked roads...noice!
MD: i hear you sista! my MACH nurse wanted me to go counselling offered at the hospy here but i was like NO WAY! i took one look and the vibe was all wrong, so now i have been given the details of a lady just down the road from me who specialises in PND and anxiety stuff (yippee!). also i am off to the belly belly pg centre talk on pnd and anxiety thingy. pretty excited about going, i love feeling proactive!
Pregpan: SNAP!! i was just talking about mt ainslie to DH today as we were reminiscing on the huge walk we took up there when i was 26 weeks pg!! i almost passed out! LOL!! such a great walk though, i felt sooo buff. i am sure a few of the passers-by were a bit scared that i'd pop the baby in front of them though going by the looks i got...
red hill was a nice walk, we lived just off captain cook crescent, so it was a hop skip and a jump for us (and stella the dawg!).
great to hear that you are feeling better! although a 2 year old party will test those waters for you!! brave brave woman!
Sherie: aww thanks sweetie! i have to say that ATM i am in a good place about it though, i have the joy of living vicariously through several friends ATM and i am enjoying that.
AFM: well am feeling pretty tired today as we went on a ginormous walk along parts of the yarra river, then stopped for coffee and cake, then some more walking - including off roading with the bugaboo as DH got us lost...so i had a nanna nap this afternoon and am feeling refreshed! man fresh air takes it out of you lol!
we are being inundated with house guests for the next week, which i am not too impressed about, DH only told me today, and they are arriving tomorrow...uurrghhh.
BUT! and for the canberra girls....it would appear that we are firm on being in canberra on the 12th and 13th of July...as in, NEXT WEEKEND (and poss. monday)!! so i will keep you posted and probably mid week will have definite details, so we should catch up!!
have a great day!
Arte, thank you very much for mentioning "in the night garden" - now I have 'yes, my name is iggle piggle, iggle piggle, iggle piggle piiiiiiigle' I don't like that show at ALL! LMAO. Alister seems to like it though.
G, I love that I have both genders, I feel really lucky. And yes, a 3yo girl would love unicorns LOL.
arte- i can't believe you think i'm having a girl! you guys have to start throwing some names at me ok, i have no idea.
my friend's dd LOVES in the night garden. is it too young for a 3 yo though? idk?
clare- i love cordorouy pants on lewis!
last time we didn't find out the sex but i think we might this time.
sherie- you are very lucky having both sexes. the best of both worlds!
