Andie, no door ever closes without another opening somewhere ! Amazing climbing Jack, well done!

Elisabeth has discovered that she can climb in and out of her new walker wagon, regularly gets stuck and sometimes tumbles (headfirst) over the handle (*sigh*). Might have to put it away and only bring it out when I'm in the mood to supervise. Although it's very cute, she's completely fascinated with stepping in and out. We saved the box from the dolly her aunty sent (perfect shape to turn into a dolly bed) and she happily stepped in and out of that for ages today.

Other main cute thing that's happening is that she is developing these adorable Pears baby curls at the back of her head! If I knew someone with a period bathroom I'd take her around there for some Pears baby photos. Too cute.

Well all the TTC action is soooo exciting. I've got all my fingies and toesies crossed for you ladies. Including you, Rainy, never say never!! Arte you could crush the Vitex and mix it with honey and take it that way. I'm a big believer in all things herbal too, convinced it helped me get PG the first time, we were TTCing 7 mths and it was only after I saw the chinese herbalist that I fell PG.

Pregpan, hope the week goes quickly hun. If not you've got three dozen chocolate crackles standing by for some comfort eating LOL.

Well E has her top teeth now and I'm having a hard time feeding her with the biting. She watches me when she does it too. Looks me straight in the eye and BITE. I'm not feeling really flash right now and I'm not sure if I can see this through. I don't want to wean but it's like offering your boob to a snapping turtle.

    Hi girls!

wow i have been MIA. not only a new thread..BUT 2 pages in!!! arrghh!

ohhh it is exciting with all this TTC and pg talk!! i will live vicariously through you all (at least for awhile!).

Arte: your cycles seem to be similar to mine. we had a bit of trouble TTC with L as like you said, O would happen and then a few days later AF would arrive. I ended up seeing an OB/GYN who specialised in homeopathy. and i have to say that stuff sorted me right out! LOL! highly recommend it...

MD: owie on the biting! L has bitten me once and i tell ya i almost hit the roof from the shock of the pain! i had to have a chuckle at your snapping turtle comment...sooo true! how many feeds is she on these days?

Kate: ah yes, the joys of tuckering them out! L does the big mammoth sleeps too after a good swim.

Andie: wow! sounds like the little man is def on the move! how hair raising!

sherie: aaaawwww too cute! and trust them to not say it again! LOL!

AFM: well i have tonsilitis AGAIN. not happy jan. so have been feeling sorry for myself, and DH has had to basically look after Leila full-time.
L is really coming into her own. She now has 2 words: stella (the dog) and drop (to get stella to drop the ball) it even comes with its very own hand action where she crouches on the ground and points her finger at the floor. so awesomely cute.

    morning everyone
wow i mised a lot of posts so sorry if i miss anything important!
Andie - wow, sounds like jack is a real mover!!!bet that keeps you on your toes. i am confused do you have a new born as well?? or was it a neighbour keeping you up??? wtg on sleeping through!
Clare - big boo hoo on the icky tonsils - you poor thing!!! i hope you have a lot of chicken soup in the house... that is soooo cute Leila talking to stella with actions - it gave me a huge smile reading about it
MD - E sounds sooo cute with the curls. do you think she will have curly hair??? having a head of v curly hair myself i dont know if i wish it on her or not!!! Last night i was washing N's hair in the bath and when it is wet (ie all curls laying flat) some of the hair goes half way down his back!!! it looked soooo cute, but nowonder people always ask me if he is a girl! LOL! The climbing sounds exciting (to me with the non mover!)
Kate - i am thinking of starting swim classes, N loved the pool so much in bali. added bonus of tiring him out.
AFM we had a terrible night last night, he was up soooo much and hard to settle. i think now maybe he is getting another tooth... lots of drool this morning (though there was no sign of teething before bed last night - what is with that!!). if he is getting one it will even things up as he has been getting around with 7 teeth for a while now.
Had to take N to 'back up' care today as my fdc lasy is still sick... i was so nervous and felt awful abotu it, but then i went to the house (literally at the end of my street) and i really like the woman, and i am wondering if it woudl be better for N - more toys, larger area for kids etc etc - and she was lovely... hmm wills ee how he goes today i guess. i felt terrible leaving him there.. he has been with DH or I for 10 days nowand so it was hard to leave him - especially somewhere new.
N's appetite is through the roof at the moment... latest favourites - grilled tomatoes, kiwi fruit, mango, strawberries (started this week and what a hit)... also cherry tomatoes - i hold them and he bites and LAUGHS HIS HEAD OFF! must be the explosion of seeds in his mouth! he is also back into bfast - was not a breaky man til this week - now is wolfing it down - this morning he has a whole kiwi fruit, weetbix and then fruit toast.. all before 8am!!
I am off to the chinese dr this morning - excited about it in a weird way.

ETA - MD how are the school hols going?

PP, just investigating the school hol back up care options as we speak. School hols next week not this week. I didn't get your PM about your cousin, BTW. Did I say that DD1's FDC lady *might* have a few days available, dependent of whether one of her other parents starts her FT job or not. I was a bit upset about it on Fri, actually, I can't understand why the carer is holding a place for someone who *might* need care ahead of me who actually Rooly Trooly Definitely needs care! Doesn't seem right but our carer has been so good and so generous and so reliable I feel horrible for feeling angry about it. Enough about me, well done on getting a good backup carer, what an asset. Just nurture the relationship a bit, you'll know if and when the time is right to make a swap, and in the meantime you've got an awesome back-up.

Clare, soooo sorry to hear you've been sick again, that's not right! Good for DH to have to do the FT care of L though . I'm ashamed to admit that E is not on very many feeds at all, she has one usually in the morning, one at bedtime, sometimes one overnight and sometimes 1 or 2 in the daytime, usually only if we're at home (my nipple really doesn't need it's own public life). It's the daytime ones we've mostly dropped, she frequently snoozes off at the bedtime feed, so she probably only has 1 or 2 really solid feeds a day. If DH were home I'd probably have more time to sit down with her, she doesn't usually ask for it, but wants it when I offer it. I didn't think when I waved DH off that it might endanger my lactation!

Marydean, you have my sympathy on the Snapping Turtle problem. Have you tried pulling her off and telling her no? I know some mums will end the feed there and then, trying to send the message that if they bite, they don't get to feed. I think you can still be a bit miffed at the FDC lady's logic though. LOL at Miss E's daring with the wagon. Lindsay and Paige both had curls like that too when they were little.

Clare, I hope you can get on top of the tonsilitis before it takes hold again. How gorgeous of L calling to the dog like she does.

Pregpan, I'm sure Noah will be fine with the back up lady. Always handy to know you have a great second choice though. If yoiu made the swap, would your original one become the new backup one?

G, I have been meaning to ask have you felt bubs move yet? I guess you missed out on the TTC circus again, so I can see why you felt jealous LOL.

Andie, WTG Jack and his climbing. I bet you know you're alive now when you see him do it LOL.

Did Noni have anything on? She hasn't been on lately which is unlike her.

H should be back soon too - M's birthday and party was saturday.

Kate, it really isn't as hard as you think to have a 2nd bub. You already have some idea of what you're doing for a start. Although I agree that BF underwater would be a tad difficult.

We're all poking along OK. I am supposed to be doing up the shopping list for A's party on Saturday, but I got sidetracked

I finally finished Lindsay's cross stitch too. I will post it when I get time to take a pic.

A slept super well last night again, so maybe it was only the teething? Either way I am not complaining.

Trill yes I have been ending the feed and that's why I'm worried about the weaning. If the feeds keep getting shorter there'll be none left! Glad A is sleeping again, we had a few rough nights but better now and the chin rash has disappeared so in hindsight probably all teething-related too. What are you doing for A's party?

Just a BBQ lunch with friends and their kids. We've done the same thing for the older two as well. We didn't have one for Paige as DH was working a ridiculous shift (13day fortnight) so we couldn't have it

That sounds nice, celebrate without too much fanfare I reckon! Are you doing a number 1 cake again? (Can't remember if you've said, keep having visions of the strawberry shortcake number and wondering if it will be spectacular like that)!

Yep, definately a #1 cake - all the others had #1 too - Lindsay had the WW version. Erin had a pink one with little meringue caterpillars on it and spearmint leaves etc. Paige had a yellow one with marshmallow flowers on it. I think I will do it green for Alister and get some choccie frogs to put on it I think. I'm not sure yet.

MD, I hope you don't feel bad about how much BFing E is getting - she is big enough that she probably doesn't need more and she will let you know if she wants it That is odd that your FDC is holding a place for a maybe. Hope you can find a cool holiday thing for H. Ouch on the biting too!

Clare, that bites the big one! Hope it clears up faster this time. That is too cute about L with the word and action. IKWYM about them coming into their own now, every day I am amazed as more of W's personality starts to show.

Andie, sounds like Jack must keep you busy!

Pregpan, I am a bit down about the TTC thing, trying not to obsess so I am keeping away from posting in the TTC forums (still stalking though lol). You should really do swim classes, they are loads of fun and the big nap after is fantastic lol

Trill, we have a book called The Jolly Farmyard from the library and I think of you every time I read it - it is about farmer Brown and on the last page he goes inside to Mrs Brown, you look adorable in your 50's housewife outfit complete with apron and red dot bandana lol

Ozstar, did I thank you for those sites? I can't remember so Thank You!

W seems to be coming out of his latest bout of clingy as Mr Independent - he now goes down to his room to play by himself for 5-10 minutes at a time. Sometimes I sneak down and spy on him pottering around playing with his toys, so very cute. He also seems to think that shoes aren't allowed on the deck - today I watched him drop about 5 pairs of shoes over the side and if they land on the step instead of the ground he climbs down to the step, throws them onto the ground then climbs back up and continues with the next pair.

Trill, - doesn't Noni have her friend from Melb (with a bubs also) visiting? I bet all the number 1s looked excellent, the chocolate frogs sound like a good idea too. Love how you've made each one unique.

Arte- I peep in too. That's hilarious about the shoes on the deck - toddlers and their 'rules' LOL.

    Thanks Marydean.

Clare, hope your tonsilitis clears up withouth to much hassel.

Pregpan, no to me having a new born. A single mum from QLD is down for the school holidays with her three kids (7, 3 & 4wks).

Artie, Jack is the same. I quite often find him in their room playing by himself. Its so cute isn't it.

Yes my heart skips when Jack does these crazy stunts & I know I'm alive! haha

Jack got his needles today and was pretty good with them. Cried a bit on the 2nd jab. & on the 3rd, didn't make a fuss until the stuff was halfway in!

Andie - that makes more sense!!! Good boy Jack with the needles, N is booked in at the end of next week - think I may do them in 2 lots though (not sure) - I am a big scaredy with them!! I wonder how he will go with them, have bfed him after all the rest but this time that isnt really an option!
MD - poor you with the biting... and with the worry about bfeeding - but as the others have said i am sure she is getting all she needs... I am in shock about the fdc lady holding for a 'maybe' - i guess she is thinking longer term needs if the other parent goes back to work. I will see how N goes today and tomorrow with the back up carer.. i am glad i got good vibes from her. Oh I didnt realise school hols were next week - hope you find something good for H. I forgot to PM you my cousin's detail - do you want them?
Sherie - LOVE the sound of the bday cakes you have done for the kids and green with frogs sounds wonderful - do you make 'frogs in the pond?'- i made them for the aborted party this year!
Arte - ikwym about becoming 'obsessed' with it all... i will happen my dear. W sounds so gorgeous - i love the shoe trick!!
Chinese dr went well, all good so far... going back on monday when we should know what the outcome of this cycle is (i am not expecting to be preg at all btw)

    hi girls!

just a quickie again as miss L is beginning to do the munster child dance (ie arsenic hour) and poor DH is run off his feet!

PP: glad the drs went well.
we too have the crazy long hair at bath time! L has curls and looks relatively short, then runs down her back when wet! so funny!
too cute about the cherry tomatoes (guess who's off to buy some tomorrow!)

MD: yeah prob as PP said, it's all about her longer term prospects for waiting on the FT parent...not that that's any easier on you though!

we too are down to 2 feeds a day. morning and night. L chose it, but my supply has definitely suffered. i figure that this is of her own choosing though, so i'll go with the flow (pardon the pun! LOL!). bit bummed about it, but also not IYKWIM?

Andie: good on J being so brave with his needles! we havent done ours yet...

AFM: well went to the drs to get the tonsilitis confirmed...boo hoo. i thought it was only on one side, but alas not, all over the joint. not impressed. so bad again that i need daily injections for the next week. so over it.
also, slightly annoyed (probably cause i am in pain and have a low tolerance ATM) because DH spent over $200 on the groceries today. he had to do it himself and just went nuts. cant believe it. there's only 3 of us!!

    anyway that's it really!

    BBL!
Sherie: yeah i thought Noni had a Melb thing going on...

Arte: that is soo cute about W's little shoe ritual! L does something similar with her change-table...nothing can be on the second shelf...it all gets chucked into the bin!

    hi ladies

i have been soooo sick the last couple ofdays. throwing up non stop.i can't keep anything down, not evn water. to make matters worse, dp has been away all weekend...aaahhh...feeling v sorry for myself right now.
is it weird to get m/s at 17weeks...i have no idea or do you think it's gastro or something? i'm just nauseous all the time.

md- had to have a giggle at the snapping turtle- looking you in the eye before a strike!
we don't b/f too much anymore- probably about 4-5 every 24 hours. that's a huge drop for me- i was doing about 20 some days!

sherie- yes i have managed to miss the whole ttc circus again, v weird but i am v grateful too. i have friends who have been trying for 2 yrs plus so it makes us realise how lucky we are. i thought it would at least take us a month this time though!

arte- love will and the deck- he's so friggin smart

got my fingers crossed for all you ttc girls, best of luck

pp- how are you going with dh away??

i'm about to add a couple of lewis' new pics in my gallery. check them out!

    morning all
Rainy am doing ok with dh away, it is crazy busy and i hate when he is away but i am kinda just getting on with it this time. last night N slept through (!!!!) for about the 3rd time ever!! so that was a pleasant surprise esp as sunday night was one of his worst nights in a v long time. i find the hard nights really awful when i am without DH, kind of more bc no one to go through it with more than no one to get up half the time if that makes sense. where is dp? will he be back soon?
I dont know re ms at 17 wks, i think it is poss but moreso if you had it earlier? not sure. there is a bad gastro going around so keep an eye on it my dear
Clare - awful about the injections. is there anything preventative you can do in the future? lol at your dh at the supermarket - i am usually the one who overspends and dh gets mad at me!
