Have read all recent posts but not up too replying today. Will try again later perhaps, we all have headcolds here and of course Joel is dying as men do when their sick !!!
I have two kids ATM and carrying a third - all while sick myself but that's ok cos Im a women - go figure !!! (Sorry I'll go now and come back when I'm in a better mood :redface:)

sorry i have been MIA. i left the charger at uni and so all weekend the laptop was dead...arrghhh so rainy, trust me had i had the chance, i too would have spent the evening on BB!!
Leanne: i am so glad that there is some positives coming out of what must be a heartbreaking situation. hold strong girl, it can be really hard to be on the sidelines watching others neglect their families. we have that in our family, it can be devastating. big hugs.
Rainy: yeah we went to the expo!! bought some stuff, but surprisingly not as much as i thought i would. i think it would be a bonanza for first-timer pg families, but when you have seen it all, there's not alot to take your fancy, especially when you already have the pram, b/f tops, bottles, highchairs etc. there were some cool things but overall, much the same. i raided the calmbirth and doula stalls, and kept an eye out to see if i could recognise Ange...LOL! not sure how i would have done this considering i have no idea what anyone looks like! LOL!
we are using cloth (bum genius). tried on many occasions to get to the front of the stall but it was jammed packed and i guess pushing pregnant women out of the way wouldnt have been a good look! :lol:
one thing we did buy were these nappy wipes that are all natural and are hypo-allergenic and are useful in the treatment of nappy rash. may help L out? they are called clearly herbal...we used them and think they are great.
otherwise we have been doing lots of nudie rudie in the backyard. this got precarious however when Leila made a grab for our friends bub's (who is the same age) doodle! ouch! have to watch my daughter me thinks!
seeing all those bellies and excited expectant faces and the newborn bubbies does stir the clucky old chook in me though!

talking of tanties though...Leila upped the ante at the Baby and kids expo...we had the full-blown, back arching legs kicking, face slapping, blue faced 'i'm not gunna breath' type crying and thrashing...everyone was looking. i was mortified. and you know what over??? a coffee table. yep. she wanted to keep playing on this coffee table that had 'secret' kids chairs tucked underneath with play trays under the table-top. my gawd.

Cassius- I was the crazy looking preggo lady at the ittibitti stand! hahaha had a great time, but boy was i exhausted yesterday, and havn't done alot today. Feeling very lazy surrounded by piles of washing that need folding. :rolleyes:

AFM- rant coming on!! I had to get my BT results for pre-concep today and I was told my Rubella is low and I need a booster and will have to wait 3 months b4 ttc!! Ahhhh not happy and the doc (not my normal guy) said oh whats the big deal?? Ummm 3 months is a long time when you are ttc!! ahhh and then Aiden has been unwell all weekend with high temps so I asked the DR was it from the MMR vac and no he has Tonsillitis AGAIN!! Poor fella.... and we have only started childcare last week - so far this year we have had 4 bad colds, tonsillitis twice, vomiting bug and chicken pox - Enough already please :o And then he said oh you are really skinny and have big eyes :redface:!! I am sending you for a thyrod BT!! I said we all skinny and have big googlers!! GEezzeee and then charged me for 2 consulations $126!! BL**dy hell .... Sorry about the rant...............

that said i went through my whole pg with absolutely no immunity whatsoever. i had been innoculated as a child and teen but mustnt have taken. so when i found out when i was pg i was pretty worried.
the gp and my ob said it wasnt a big concern as it's not around much and jut avoid ppl with it etc etc.
still need to get vacc'd for it tho.... :(

My money is on G having a pink one and all the talk about BLUE is a red herring ;) Glad to hear the scan went well for you this time and you have a nice healthy bubba in there.
Chepie, that would be so annoying to have to wait, but that's the problem with the Rubella/MMR shot is that it doesn't give you lifelong immunity from it. I had German measles as a child and I still have immunity at 30. I hope Aiden is well again soon though.
The party went well. Cake turned out OK, but I don't think I'll post a pic as I wasn't happy with it at all and it looked pretty rushed and a bit crappy. She loved it though which is the main thing.
I'm another one with very low immunity to rubella and my OB said it's not a huge deal just stay away from ppl with rashes. Yes three months is forever when TTC. Sorry to hear this.
Oh course she'll be back MD - but perhaps not tonight me thinks :doh:

Chepie, that sucks that you have to wait another 3 months. I haven't had my immunity tested, it didn't even occur to me. Bummer about having to get your thyroid tested and having to pay a double consult.
