YAY Rainy how exciting!!! you will have 2 gorgeous boys!
def go the blue camo pram... how funky!
so excited for you (i woul dhave been no matter what it was but just exciting to know)
now to think of names...
clare- check out the official phil & teds website. it's the sports model in blue graffiti
thank you so much for all your congratulations girls
we are just sooo thrilled
i think secretly :shhh: deep down i wanted another boy, so that lewis could have a brotherly bond iykwim?
sorry i've been so selfish tonight with no personals! been too excited and too busy teasing:lol:
we went to baby bunting today to check out prams and the lady told me they were getting in a new colour and she had seen it in the warehouse and it would be gorgeous for two little boys. i'm just so excited:dance::dance:
Congrats Rainy, what fab news. So you got any names picked out?
Rainy- i know what you mean, i would like a boy, but will be stoked if we have another girl b/c i always wanted a sister. Imagine how well they will play in a couple of years. It will be great.
no....i desperately need help with names
dp is soooooo fussy, i wanted charlie but he said definite no!
yeah i hope they're best friends...little ratbags!!!
our home is such a boys' paradise too- an acre with room for a mini dirtbike track , plus boats, old cars, garages full of engines and trailers and crap! boys love it here
ange-lulu would love a little sis
Good b/c Charlie is on our boys list! lmao. :p
I love Charlie, I like it for a boy or a girl. What other names do you like Rainy? Has your DH come up with any?
That's fantastic Rainy!!! They'll be great mates I'm sure.
Woohoo! That's lovely Rainy! I'm sure he'll be gorgeous like his brother too! Go the funky blue camo pram (sounds cool).
yay congrats rainy!!! its so exciting! and like others have said not just because it turned out to be a boy but because it makes it so much more real!! where u live sounds great too!! isthe pram ur talking about a double pram? how old will L be when the new bubba is born?
ohhh i am sooo clucky lol all this talk of little boys i so want a little boy!! i think it will be harder for me emotionally if i have a little girl (if i ever get pregnant again lol look at me going on) because of what happened with my sister being born so premature and not making it i think it would be very special to see asha have a sister because of that.. problem is i always wanted a boy lol even with asha (but something kinda changed when i had her i didnt feel dissapointed just excited) i think its just because in all my childcare experience ive always cared for boys so they are special to me in that way. ohhh i so wanna be pregnant again hahaha dont think it will be this month coz we kinda decided a bit late in the month i think but theres always next month.. not charting this time (unless it takes a while and i get frustrated lol) just trying to relax and let it happen when its supposed to i spose.. ahhh im gonna shut up about it now!!
well with all this exciting news theres not many personals to write except again a HUUUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO RAINY AND FAMILY ON THEIR EXCITING NEWS!!!
oohh rainy i checked out the P&Ts website...arghh so many pretty things. i LOVE the graffiti design! especially cool on the carrier. i wonder how much the new P&Ts stroller is (the 'smart'). i wanna get one!
we had a shocker getting L to sleep last night. have no idea what that was about. i would like to think that maybe it was teeth. but the poor thing was really beside herself. so strange as she normally goes down without a whimper...hmmmm.
Awwwww G, that's great news. They are going to have a great relationship. Even though there is nearly 7yrs between my boys, they still have a brotherly relationship as if they were closer in age.
oohhh clare- i hope leila slept ok in the end. we are fb friends now! glad you like the pram, now i just have to wait for them to come into the shop.....and probaby wait for k-rudd to give me my economy boost lol
noni-best of luck with the ttc, i know what you mean about the 'boy' thing. as a teacher, my fave students every year are generally boys. i just have a soft spot for them.
ange- i love charlie, but i'm finding it to be very popular, which puts me off it. also one of dp's friends has a dd named charli, so he doesn't want to use it.
katie- dp is hopeless at names. he named lewis after his boat. remember al the trouble we went through last time with girls' names? he told me scarlett was the worst, most try-hard name he'd ever heard (i love it).....i think he wants a j name this time as his name starts with j.
sherie- that's great, i can't wait to see my boys together
now i have some other exciting news but i have to keep this one quiet for a little while. i promise i'll tell you all as soon as i can........you're going to LOVE it!
Is there a ring involved?????
Arte - that's what i'm thinking too. (but Marydean's idea is doubly exciting)
Cally - how is Katie going at Daycare? Hope you're all doing well :)
Clare- I hope L isn't coming down with something.
rainy - you're a tease :p (but we still love ya)
big hi to everyone else as well.
I'm off to a Pink Ribbon morning tea today. Should be good.
OMG the cliff hanger continues............ your a hoot rainey  Don't leave us hanging too long now. BTW Joel is a nice J name !!!! I know from the other thread that you are considering it and just teasing now.
Noni - Sending you lots of baby dust sweetie, hope your TTC journey is short.
Cass - Hope L goes off better for you tonight.
Falguni - When is your scan ? Will you be finding out the sex and more important will WE be finding out the sex too ?? We have a girls name all sorted but boys is proving hard this time round. Joel veoted charlie unfortunately.
Sherie - Howz the new stove going, cooked up a storm yet ?? Oh and how did the ballerina cake go in the end ?
Hi to all that I've missed.
Hamish is having his needles his afternoon, mummy is not looking forward to them at all.
Scan is tomorrow JG. Sorry to dissapoint, but we are not finding out the sex! If i knew, there is no way i could keep that secret from you all! lol Hope the needles go ok.
ooooo another secret??? i was going to have a house cleaning BB free day, but i can't very well do that now can i Rainy???? hmm????
Clare we had a random night like that last week. Don't know what went on, but she was fine again the next night..... hope it's the same for you.
Rain- Now you've put me off it if it's popular! lol. I don't know boys called Charlie, i do know 2 little girls, on lives in France though and the other i only 'just' know IYKWIM! Her little brother is called Jagger. Very cute.
Ok going to clean, but will be obssesively checking in for the update. ;)
i know so many boys called charlie, it's not even funny. i reckon in a few years there'll be 3 in each class at school. ha ha bb free cleaning day. that's what i'm supposed to be doing today! i'm feeling so lazy though, haven't even walked my dog or had a shower yet!
Shower?? Am i supposed to do that daily? ah crap, i knew i was doing something wrong! I didn't get dressed all day yesterday. PJ days are A-ok! Does that make me a shlumpadinka MD?!
Lu got a fold out couch and she LOVES it. She lines her soft toys up on it, sits on it with a book, lounges on it with her feet up. It is hilarious. I never imagined she would love it so much.
Congratulations to Rainy on your exciting news!! I'm sure those two little fellas will be great mates. What's the other news?
Clare - congrats to DH on his grant.
MD - not long to go now!
Noni - congrats on making the decision to start TTC. Did it take long with Asha?
Trill - shame the cake didn't turn out as good as you were hoping (through no fault of your own!)
Leanne - so glad those kids are having a better life now.
Well K is at childcare today, but I am home (feeling a bit guilty). She came down with a bad cold at the end of the week and was sick all weekend and just did a short day yesterday (I was at work and was just about to leave early as was feeling so crap when the centre rang up to say they thought her temp was a bit high). Went to the doctor this morning and she is on the mend. But she gave it to me and I feel terrible. Headache, sore throat, running nose etc. This is the worst I've felt since before I was pregnant, but I am really missing not being able to take drugs!!
DH's thumb is still sore - found out he has to travel at least 1.5hrs to ortho surgeon (if he ever rings to make an appt) which is a bit of a pain.
Now to go and lie on the couch and blob (and try not to look at the floor which is so dirty and I shouldn't have to clean as it's not my job, but probably will anyway - might have to bring up housecleaners again with DH). Should still be able to vacuum the floor with a broken thumb.
cally- hope you feel better soon, you poor thing!
ange- i just had a SHOWER - yes, you definitely are a shumpadunka or whatever! lol, and anyway, i triiiiieeed to shave my bikini line in preparation for swimming tomorrow, but i couldn't see it!!!!
i also tried to shave my legs....didn't go so well.
promise me you won't look at my bikini line tomorrow
LMAO- i found board shorts that fit in the bottom of the cupboard! Well i hope they fit, better go check. Still scared raod kill will poke out the bottom. Can't be ar$ed waxing my legs, so we'll be big hairy shlumpadinkas together! ;) Lovin that word MD!
CAlly, that's not fun, hun! Make sure you keep up the hot drinks, have you taken some panadol, got the fess up your snorter, slapped on some Vicks etc? Also a hot flannel over your face always helps.
Ange, yep, def a schlumpadinka! tho I think schlumpadinking is as much a state of mind as a 'look', kwim?
WEll I'm in blergh mode today. I think I need a post in the boohoo room not here. And another milestone here today -the biggest most leaky spready poo we've had in the history of both of my children. :o Ew all thru her pjs, I hate to think what it might have oozed on before I changed her!!
MD - have just snorted some fess and was lying on the couch with a heat pack on my forehead.
Icky Poo!!
Cally - hope you're feeling better soon. Luckily Katie got over her sickness quite quickly.
Ange - Hannah has one of those couches too, although Zoe seems to have claimed it. H likes to lay down and have her bottle on hers.
JG - i hope H's needles don't hurt him too much today.
Hi there girls,
hope this works as BB keeps crashing away on me...wahhh!
Rainy: ohhh you are full of surprises! I wish i could have some more excitement in my days!
can't you order the pram online? bummer.
MD: oh yeah, the countdown must be on for you girl!
WTG on the poo Miss E! love the exploding ones...there to remind you you are alive.
Cally: hope you beat the cold soon. heat pack sounds like a great idea.
Ange: ooohh i DID see you! LOL! i was hanging out at the stand peeping over someones shoulder. i saw you showing them the fastening system. seemed like they werent really getting it...that said, grandma was a bit feisty on the q's!
AFM: well we just had a 'creative dance' class today. have to say that i am finding the whole concept of organised activity a bit overwhelming. i like the swim class but i think dance is a culture onto it's own. i noticed a few snooty glances from the mums with older, better rule follower kids...oh well. L LOVED it! she thought it was a blast, but poor mummy found it a bit too much...maybe we'll stick to something like music class, she loves the bopping and whacking of instruments too and that is something i enjoy also.
hmmmm...
Well, looking for the silver poo lining, there have been far smaller poos that were a lot more deadly, at least this one wasn't massive AND superstinky, kwim?
Clare - oh yes, beware the dance class set! Same goes for calisthenics, and girls gymnastics...oh, that's unfair of me, I'm sure there are some lovely classes around without that vibe, but to a certain extent they do attract the primadonna, queenbee type mothers! Watch Razzle Dazzle if you haven't already seen it, total hoot!! Luckily H has learnt dance thru exposure at home, and my classes, also some of the cultural dancing types attract less of the snootiness. Can't wait to get back to Adel and sign E up for the music group that H went to, they're fun!
JaZaH & Ange, I'm in the market for one of those couches too. Thinking Good old Santy might have one in his sack this year. H had one, it was bright red and blue and totally didn't match our house, so I'm looking for one that's not quite such an eyesore LOL.
well MD we are currently sitting at 5 poos for the day so far. when I go to wake L up in a couple of mins no doubt that will have increased to 6...egad.
ah yes, i think you have hit the nail on the head. this is a 'waiting list' kind of class (but if there's a waiting list then how did i get in...). quite a few of the mums were 'practicing' their own little ballet moves around the room. OH....MY.....GAWD. it's a class for toddlers!!!!! WTF ppl?!!! and so the search continues...
duplicate post
Oh you so totally gotta see Razzle Dazzle. You will crack right up!!! PMSL at mum's practising their moves. If only they knew how hilarious they are ;)
ETA- and the FDC lady thought E was an oddity for squeezing out 2 in the time she was there! LOL
oh imagine if Leila went to your FDC lady!!! she might charge me extra for all the pooing!!! like seriously, when i go to pick L up her clothes are usually hanging up to dry on the line...oh poo glorious poo!
they look SOOO funny. and they so want ppl to look at them!! seriously. mad. one chick even decided that she was too cool for school so took a nap in the middle of the room (because it's soo bohemian to just do what you please...we're talking nth fitzroy here, says alot...) meanwhile her snotty child was running amuck throughout the hall. urrghh.
Clare- i think i know exactly the grandma you are talking about!! lmao. The poor pregnant lady was getting grief from the mum and the grandma. I don't think she had a choice in cloth or not. She was doing it b/c they said so! The grandma was swearing at me when i told her they weren't manufactured in Aus anymore. Very funny.
Some mums eh? I had a good chuckle at the wanna be balarina mums now living through their daughters. Can't believe they were trying out their own moves, classic.
MD- did i read that right? Do you teach a dance class? Poo is driving me a little nuts ATM. Although *touches wood* i think we are at the end. Lu had 'loose' stools for about 5 weeks! It was driving me nuts. We had a couple of solid, roll off the nappy types the last two days though, so that's good.
I used to do gymnastics from about age 5 to 15. When i was 15, the club i went to closed down, so i went to another club and the girls were such biartches i only went once. That was the end of that! Probably good, i discovered boys about the same time. lol. A bit wary of any kind of dance for Lu, all for the reasons mentioned.
I can see Lu's eye teeth coming down, *prepares for blonde comment* does that mean they are on their way through the gum? Or can they sit there for months?
Um, no I don't teach although my teacher has hounded me to for years. Bellydancing. But I was going along to a couple of classes a week (for practice) for a bit and sometimes H would come along, attend haflas with me, etc. I'm a bit out of condition now and my pelvis is still a little unstable so I haven't done any at all since I was about 7 weeks pg. :( But that doesn't stop us from prancing around the loungeroom hehehe.
That is very cool. There is no way i could move my hips like that! i'm impressed.
nice ticker ange :)
clare- lewis poos heaps too, he did 8 today!
just got an emai from the lady i did those breastfeeding shots for and she's sending me the pretty pink dress and a blue top next week. yah! i'm desperate for summer clothes
Ange: LOL! so funny that you remembered the grandma!! i have to say that i was impressed by all the attention at the cloth nappy stands! (YAAAYYY!!). i could get nowhere near the BG stand so missed out on scoring some extra inserts and new colours. ho hum...
now for my blonde moment...what are the eye teeth? are they the ones just to the side...?
I too did gym for many years (so did DH - he was a regional rep in Italy!!). i gave up when i was 13 as like you i had to go to a new centre and the ppl there were really OTT and b*tchy. i was pretty bummed about it, but thems the breaks i guess. i would LOVE Leila to do some gymnastics, but we'll see how that goes...
MD: i so did not know that you did bellydance. that is AWESOME. come and move here and start a group for lil 'uns. i'll be your first customer LOL! leila can boogie like no other...she also LOVES flashing her guts to the world...followed with belly smacks.
