quick question..
dps brother came to us last night and told us his g/f is pregnant.. its a bit of a shock and they havnt decided whether or not they can keep the baby (fingers crossed they do)..
this would be their first baby do u think its wrong to ttc when they would if we conceived next cycle only be a month apart and it would kinda be stealing their moment? some of the family is partial to dp over dps brother.. should we put things on hold because of this if they decide to keep the baby?? what do u think??

Noni, your plans shouldn't be put on hold because of someone else's pg - which they may or may not decide to continue. And it wont be stealing their thunder, they will have theirs and you will have yours.

Pregpan - Blend (crush) in a food processor a packet of marie biscuits (or milk coffee) then pour into mixing bowl. Blend (crush) the block of caramello chocolate in the same way. Add to mixing bowl. Pour condensed milk over the top, mix well. Add a small amount of coconut to the mixture so it's easier to work with (not so sticky). Then empty mixture into lamington tin or similar (lined with baking paper if you wish). Press flat into tin and cover with more coconut. Set in fridge for about 45 mins before cutting into bite size pieces. Warning it is sweet and addictive - def not on a diet plan but good as a reward maybe :dance: ENJOY !!

Noni - I wouldn't think it would be stealing their thunder at all. What will be will be. Could be nice having cousins so close perhaps.

Hi ladies - All is well with MD ;)!

JG- OMG Livi is so much quicker now then when she was crawling. The boys chase her around and she actually thinks she can run. Luckily my house is already toddler proof.
She loves getting into the bathroom and putting all the facewashers in the bath tub. (bathroom door, boys and livis doors are the only ones that stay open).

md tell us how things are at home... think you better chg your location my dear!!

Hamish has been asleep for 2.5 hrs now, that's so unlike him and what have I done with that time. Surfed around here and on the net and had a cuppa - that's it. Why is it when I choose not to have a sleep he decides to have a sleep marathon :rolleyes: Yawns :rolleyes:

JG-lol The fun has just started. Just dont put any pens in there reaching distance cause it will end up on the walls...lol as for H sleeping 2.5 hours I know what you mean.

As for me I had my hair cut yesterday and sat in the carpark crying... What a bunch of stuck up *****es. And they didnt even want to dye my hair they wanted me to make another appointment.. WTF I told them on the phone I wanted it dyed and its hard for me to get time away to go there anyway. That will teach me for taking my MIL advise on hairdressers. Well I wont be going back there again and I will be telling all my friends and family.

Awww Leanne. :hug: Don't let them get you down. I know exactly what you mean since I've had a similar experience in an underwear shop ... like I wasn't worthy to tread on their beige carpet! Very common post-preg (gets treated when the pg goes away but the carpal tunnel does not). Got the name of a good dr at the ultrasound place tho so I'm sure it will all be good.

JG: havent managed to get in contact with her yet! i need DH to be with me as although my italian is pretty good, i tend not to listen so well when i am nervous...and this makes me nervous...also i know that it may take hours so...
i am pretty sure that we are going to go hard on the licopodium. this is what i took last time and man, did it knock me about. but did the trick! i think she told me that if it was to come back that she would up the ante...

just had a bit of a naughty morning esp as it is a work day... got a heap of waxing done and then jut bought a gorgeous new dress and clutch bag.... gotta get a bit more glam before all the weddings and races this weekend! it was naughty of me as i have heaps of work but i feel a lot beter for it!

Oh well I'm a bit zonked out now because I just had a telephone interview which was this completely weird disembodied experience. I think my personality came across just fine (or maybe too much :o) not sure that I dazzled them with my brilliance though. I'm off to self-flagellate as I had one of those D'oh moments where I was slapping myself on the head as soon as the words came out but too late to un-say them! AAAARGH. Already thought of at least 2 things that I shouldawouldacoulda said but didn't. :rolleyes: It sounds like it'll be a TWW until I hear how I fared. On the plus side they were totally cool about a three-day return to work and it sounds like they were pretty darn impressed by my written application and one of the jobs involves a good slug of writing so...hmmm, maybe.

Well the scan went well, all is healthy and progressing nicely.

We have another boy on the way and Im in shock. I so thought it was a girl, had a name sorted, had been shopping for pink etc......... (Sighs) But there are heaps of advantages to having two little boys so close, they'll be great mates, probably play the same sports (so only one location every saturday) and the clothes advantage etc........

PP - Nice work, glad you had a nice day sweet.

MD - Im sure they were impressed, when might you hear something ??

Clare - I havn't heard of that treatment, think I'll do some investigating of my own.

we went swimming again today and it was great. i'm heading off to a playcentre tomorrow with mg, then meeting some old work friends for lunch on friday and then heading shopping on sat :dance: yah!!!

I went to school with a Micah Clare....hmmmmm not many of them around! i wonder...... I just noticed Leila was not much bigger than Lu when she was born. How much does she weigh now? Just curious.

Joels Girl- Congrats on your little man. You are so right, two of the same sex close together is so lovely for them. I desperately wanted a sister when i was a kid, infact i still wish i had one sometimes. It would have been a dream for me to have one close in age.

Had a great day, swimming lessons with the lovely raino, then a touch of shopping and visited my granny. Oh and i picked up a car seat for the farm ute off ebay for $20! noice work. very happy.

Sarah was still funky last night. She only had the one sleep for the two days previous and those were the nights that she played up. So I put her down for two sleeps today so will see how she goes. Could just be a coinky-dink or it could mean she's not ready to give up her arvo sleep.
I think we've found a house we like! Just got to get the approval from the landlord and decide for sure that its what we want and we'll be in within 3 weeks.

AFM: well waiting patiently for DHs arrival home. due around midnight. should go to bed and catch some zzzz's but i know that he would love to come home to a warm house IYKWIM....
Luckily L went to sleep easily tonight. we had a really rough night last night with her finally settling for a proper sleep at 2am. fortunately i held my will and did not feed (YAY!), and it appears that she didnt need it. everytime i went in she just wanted to feel some contact. i actually felt really empowered by it...guess i have finally achieved the magic touch that mums seem to have...oh bliss!

rainy - i got my dress from saba. it is black (boring i know) and absolutely gorgeous and classic. the other one i have that i am taking is a bright emerald greeen so i figured something more demure for the corp entertaining! i love saba, v classic and timeless.
clare - so glad you managed all the settling no feeds, i know what you mean re the empowerment, N has no feeds in the night now,sometimes more work but i think it has broke cycles... we had a terrible night last night, he has an awful cough and was up a lot of the night, i ended up with him in bed with me and DH on the couch. poor little boy. i hope he does okj with all the schlepping this weekend.

i'm waiting for lewis to wake up so we can go to the play centre. he always over-sleeps when i don't want him to....

pp- emerald green is one of my all-time fave colours. sounds divine. i'm so fat and frumpy, can't even imagine getting dressed up.

clare- i'm up for a spa day whenever you want it. there's one right near my house that jessica alba went to when she was out here for the logies, and i was reading in the paper the other day about a really lush one in the yarra valley that i want to try. it's my fave thing to do, can you tell i'm not sporty at all? lol

i'm in the process of writing up my will so that if dp and i were ever both killed, the wicked witch mil woud not get her dirty hands on our kids. i want to make sure they go to my older brother.

btw, she wrote us a card in the mail, completely disregarding everything that happened. when i saw her writing on the envelope i thought for sure it was going to be an apology letter, but no! no mention whatsoever of what happened- just a thank you card for a present we gave her before the incident. it makes me so mad that she is so delusional that she can just shake off all responsibility for what she's done and pretend like nothing has happened.....we threw the card in the bin....

Rainy: yep, we soo need to go to one!! if it's good enough for jessica alba it is good enough for me! LOL!

Thanks for asking about how it's going. E seems to be quite happy to have DH around but she has these little moments every so often where she's suddenly weirded out and needs a mummy or a H cuddle. He's been feeding and changing and bathing her (mostly) and she's been pretty free and easy with her cuddles but she's not yet 100% at ease with him. Another week or so and i think we will be past that.

Clare well done with the overnight empowerment! I'm having the opposite scenario here where I think perhaps I'm not giving E enough feeds (not about to start jumping out of bed to wake her up for it tho) but I might start offering an afternoon feed. More for her comfort with all the changes going on with that strange funny daddy man back again.

Kate good luck with the house. I'll shortly have to be a horrible landlord and tell our tenants they'll have to move out. :(

When you ladies work out what you're doing for the de-schlumpadinking intensive retreat, let me know, I think I'll need to book a plane ticket and meet you there! LOL

ETA - good on you for making your will. In ours, good friends would be the legal guardians, executor and trustee of any funds and can choose who my girls would live with. They know that means either them or my sister.

Even L is a bit funny with DH for the first couple of hours when he returns home. i guess kids like routine, so it's not so much about them not feeling comfortable with the person, they are just uncomfortable with the changes to their routine IYKWIM?
