LOL Leanne at adventure outing. Sound like you may need to use the Force Gosh I remember the Griswalds so well - we used to watch them all the time cause Dad was a huge Chevy Chase fan. I do like to watch the Griswalds family Christmas every year though - still makes me laugh.

Kate, good to hear it's clearing for her. I was wondering how you got on with it.

MD, you had a great day yesterday by the sound of it! LOL at H's sleepover antics The meds are going well thanks for asking. No side effects so far *fingers crossed*. I take the MTX on a friday, and then 5mg of Folate (which is a super high dose - you only need 0.05mg for pg) on Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed to combat any possible damage the MTX is doing. I *think* I am starting to see a difference cause it doesn't look so red and angry looking now but it can take a few weeks to see clear results from it.

Clare, Alister eats far more crap food than the other kids ever did at that age - he will either pinch it off them or sit there all puppy dog eyes till they give him some - he certainly has them worked out. And when he sees lollies he acts like he's starving too and throws tantrums when he does't get any.

Ange, I do know that some kids can get an excess of mucous etc from cow's milk and can get really congested from it Sometimes it's an allergy/intollerance and other times its just one of those things kwim? I've always been really slow with introducing cows milk fully to all of mine cause of the runny bums etc - even though they were already on formula. You could try soy or even rice milk and see if that makes a difference. And the cows milk is still a bit different to yoghurt etc too - not sure why, but it doesn't seem to affect them the same.

Awww Cally, how was last night? I hope she was OK once she was asleep for you. It's awful when you don't know how to *fix* it and nothing is working.

Noni, how are you feeling this morning? I hope you're better. I suppose this is the time of year when people might be more inclined to buy because of Christmas coming up etc. *fingers crossed* for you that you get some sales.

Well yesterday I went over to Mums cause she was getting her Chrisco yesterday and every year I go and take the stuff that they don't eat, plus she gives me a box of choccies. But this year she'd actually brought us a hamper of our own! (For those of you that may get Chrisco - do any of you get it? can't remember, anyway it was the kids mega hamper) so instead of taking home a bag or two of stuff and a few frozens, I had the back of the car choca-block full with three boxes of food and two big esky's of frozens! How good is that? She thought that things might be bad again this year on the farm so she wanted to get us a hamper so we didn't have to spend so much on groceries bless her. So I hope that it will help lower the grocery bill for a while because for the past month it's been over $300 per week - without meat! Everything is just so expensive here and it doesn't matter where I shop, it's the same everywhere. So anyway, when she goes to give me my box of choccies, she had a sml and a large box of cadbury roses and said, which one do you want? And I said "I can't believe you even have to ask me that!" LMAO. Bet you can't guess which one I took

    Hi All
Sorry have been mia - seem to say that a lot lately. sorry if i miss anything!
Sherie - yay on the hamper, what a thoughtful mum you have. enjoy the choccies too! LOL at alister making eyes at the other kids, i reckon thats the way it is being the youngest in a big family - yu get everything early! i grew up with a family of 8 kids (my FDC 'mum' who i am still in touch with, she looked after me since i was 9 months and these kids are like my brosthers and sisters) - and you should have heard the language the youngest used from a v young age!!!! i also remember finding him looking at a pack of 'porno' playing cards (his older brothers, who were about 16 had them) and saying 'yummmmm, breastfeeds' - hilarious! glad the meds are going ok and no side effects, i hope they sort things out for you.
MD what a blissful day!!! wow 5 girls for a sleep over - did you make a midnight feast? soundslike things must be going better for H at school now. how are u feeling?
Cally - N still needs 2 sleeps a day, and i cant see him dropping 1 for a while - he is ready for his mroniong sleep by 9am! each of them are about 1.5 hrs (differs a lot this is averages). i am happy with that. he gets up at about 6 and goes t bed at 7.30 (bath etc before that). i hope you are getting yourself some rest and relaxation too, i know how tough it is to juggle everything with full time work and baby etc etc esp with no family around.
Noni - yay for some more time out for yourself. i hope they do order fromthe catalogues. did the company give you any idea what penetration rate to expect (ie how many ppl usually buy something per 100 catalogues or something like that). i agree with Sherie, it is prob a good time of yr. what type of stuff do they sell?
Clare - LOL at L's antics!!! gorgeous! N also kisses and cuddles everything - especially upsy daisy from in the night garden as he watched an ep when she kissed everything!!! the other day i was watching him playing with his thomas the tank engine truck thinking 'he has tuend into such a boy' - then he picked it up and started kissing thomas!! LOL!!
Ange - hmm hope it isnt an allergy. i know that yoghurt and cheese are less of an impact on lactose intolerance etc due to the processing...
Kate - glad it is clearning up..poor little thing!

afm - all is well here... N is totally delicious as always - has had some teething pain (getting 2 molars plus another bottom tooth which is nearly thru). i got the brauers teething stuff yest and it seems great - highly recommend. he slept through last night without 1 settle!!! loved it!! he is crawling around a lot now and standing up heaps - all the time. starting to 'cruise' a bit but no signs of walking - think that will be a while! he is a real chatterbox though, which is soooo cute!
did a bit of cookingon the weekend for him, his current fave is pasta with cheese sauce and vegies and tuna... and also these chicken patties i made (recipe in the feeding section) went down so well with him and his friend... they are delciious!!
Sherie - you made me CRAVE hot chicken rolls - YUMMO!!!!
i am feeling good - quite tired (dont remember being this tired last time ) and nauseous but nothing too bad. had a couple of naps yest which were wonderful! it still doesnt feel that real!!!

Trill - I so hope you took the big one!! Mmm, cadbury roses! That will make a big difference to the shopping budget, what a lovely mum.

Christmas - My dad is making K a little table and chairs the same as we had when we were growing up. He brought it down to see how it fits in our family room a few months ago and she didn't want to see it put back in his car so I think she'll like that. I'm leaning towards a few outdoor toys at the moment.

MD - sounds like you had a lovely relaxing day.

Well K didn't have an afternoon sleep yesterday, but she had 30 minutes of quiet play time in the cot. Then DH took her to the beach and left me at home so I watched TV. He also bought her some watermelon because the Woolworths catalogue arrived with a big one on the cover and she was trying to eat it!

Kate - glad the cansesten is working

Leanne - good luck with your outing today!

Fal - how about just giving the cow's milk a break for a little while, ie a week. If she is still BF and having yogurt she should be getting plenty of calcium. Then you can slowly introduce it again and see what happens. I have heard of people that can't have straight milk but can have other dairy products. Something about the milk being more concentrated?

Noni - good luck with the catalogues, hope you get some sales.

    Better do some more work.

ETA - PAP - K is the almost exactly the same with her sleeping! Maybe if she does insist on dropping a day sleep she will go a little bit longer in the morning - although that's probably wishful thinking!

pap- they said the average worked out atm is every 10 catologues generate one almost $40 order so from a hundred if going on averages youd have 400 worth of orders.. something like that.. but thats coming from all areas etc so im really a bit unsure whats gonna happen.. we dont live in a rich area and people are in tough times atm so really have to see.. with christmas on the way things are in my favor a little more tho as sherie mentined.. its good for getting fit tho probably not likely to continue if people dont buy stuff... they sell all sorts of stuff gosh some of it is rediculous haha.. atm they have quite a few chrissi things like card holders and decorations and things, they do homewares and kitchen stuff and odds and ends its kinda hard to explain actually..
sherie - glad the meds are going well lol @ A making his puppy dog eyes to get lollies!! and yay on the hamper!! what a nice mum you have!!

OMG!! I've just found out that DD's childcare centre is a subsidiary of ABC! There is no mention of ABC centres anywhere in all the stuff we have been given and they haven't told us anything, DH just noticed it on a press release from the administrators. I have everything crossed it is a profitable one....

I'm going out for chocolate now to try and calm me down.

Rainy - please clarify norti - a little bit norti, or a lot norti.

I had to laugh at the boys touching everything Leanne.

Well G, you can't be pg so I have no idea what you've done this time

PAP, the lunch lady is going to be able to take an early retirement me thinks I suppose with the tireness this time, you're chasing a toddler, and generally busier than you were when you were pg with Noah. Plus you probably getting more sleep from not having to get up to a baby either.

Oh no Cally! I hope that it doesn't have to close!

Oh no Cally - I hope this doesnt mean the centre will close! when are you likely to find out what is going on? I have N down for a couple of centres for next yr (not sure yet if we will stick with FDC o rmove) - thankfully they are not ABC affiliates but i guess wait lists will go manic now anyway. we have about 3 abc centres near us.
    Rainy.... where are you?

Very very norti - sounds like a big purchase to me!!

I've spoken with the centre. I knew they were an ABC centre a few years ago and then became something else. The person I spoke with had been told that they were no longer affiliated with ABC when the name and everything else changed. Which sounds dodgy to me. They haven't heard anything at all, even the regional manager didn't know. Very frustrating. I really can't see that they wouldn't be unprofitable - it is full of kids, they charge the same as the other two centres near here and yet don't provide food so that is a saving. Can only wait and see.
