I know that you are meant to get BH earlier with subsequent pregancies but Im getting them a little too regular for my liking. They are a bit painful (not extremely tho) but geez the intensity is like what I felt while being induced with H........
Please tell me this is normal.........Im starting to fear that a preterm (longterm) scary is on the way like I had with hamish. Plese please let me be wrong. It was torture and then I didn't have a toddler to chase after .
Tighenings are 7 mins apart and have been like that for 45 mins. What do you ladies think....sherie any thoughts dear ???
Gosh JG, I really really hope it's not that again. I'm not sure you'll really know unless you get it checked. Have you tried resting, does that make a difference?
Im going to try to drink a couple of glasses of water and lay on my left side for a bit and see what happens. I remember that advice from last time. Dehydration can play a part so I'll give that a go.
Gosh Cindy, I remember how bad the irritable uterus was for you last time Maybe a nice long shower might help? My BH's never really changed from one pg to another. have you taken any panadol for it at all?
ETA - I forgot to write the rest of my post LOL!
BIL was over earlier with some piccies of Oliver and OMG he's the spitting image of Erin as a newborn! He has a heap of dark curly hair and he's pretty cute. I was looking at all the pics thinking 'oh, he looks a lot like his big brother' (DN1 is 2.5yo) and then when I had a second look through, there was one pic where BIL is holding him and I said to him, 'holy crap he looks like Erin did!' so I went and got a pic of her that was a nearly identical pose and facial expression and they could pass for twins. Erin is a lot like MIL when she was a child, so I suppose a familial likeness between our children would have popped up sooner or later. He's all out of proportion, but still looks in proportion though LOL - he was 8lb 9, but his HC was only 32 (what I wouldn't have given to have a baby with a head that small) and length was 56cm (BIL is 6'4).
Today Alister was like a little Capuchin monkey all day! You know the little cheeky ones who will pinch your stuff - like Geoffrey Rush's monkey in POTC? He would want something and then throw a tantrum if he couldn't have it/get it and then once he got it he would scurry off and sit on his haunches like he'd won a prize and he just looked like one of them LOL, squealed a bit like one too. Like he got a can of coke out of the box and was playing with it. I took it off him and he threw a tanty and then went back to the box in a defiant 'well bugger you Ill get another one' and when he couldn't he threw a bigger wobbly and came back to the sink where I'd put the first one, so I ended up giving it to him and he took off looking like the proverbial cat getting the cream.

Rainy, have a great week. I am sure that the weather will be nice for at least one day for you. BTW, I fully hope your MIL finds out third hand, I would get a smug satisfaction from that if I were in your position.
Cindy, hope everything is alright
Trill, A sounds really cute! Don't they look adorable when they get something they aren't really allowed lol.
MD, hope you hear about the job soon. Its a government job isn't it? They always take ages to reply
Noni, I am still TTC. It does seem that everyone else is getting preg but what can I expect if I am stalking the TTC threads lmao. Have you asked the daycare centres if you can come and just stay there with A and play? Our local daycare lets you come and use all the stuff as long as you stay and look after your own kid. I know it isn't baby free time but it gets you out of the house and gives A something to do.
Clare, you can't buy a house for half a mill???? That is just madness! Have you considered a sea/tree change? For that amount here you would be living in a brand new 5-6 bedroom home, two bathrooms, double garage on a quarter acre with uninterrupted mountain views. The only downside would be the lack of jobs to pay for it lol
I just went to music and heard about a friends sister who is in hospital about to have a baby. She has a kidney stone which can't pass because of the bub so the block is causing her kidneys to fail. She (and hence bub) have been on pethidene since last thursday, she was full term last week but they won't get the baby out. Her midwife put in a formal complaint and now they are doing the worlds slowest induction - gels for three days then breaking the waters on friday. Honestly, you would think if an 18 year old is going into kidney failure they would just c-section the baby out!

Cindy- Hope you are ok
