There are lots of women who go through pregnancy and birth in far more desperate circumstances, we're really very lucky. I was watching the thing on Foreign Correspondent last night about the food shortages in Ethiopia. Well actually there's enough food, it's just too expensive for people to buy it. There was a mother breastfeeding her baby but because she hadn't eaten her supply was giving out. Very sad.

It makes me think twice about whining about my gallstones too. It could be a lot lot worse.
