Rainy, could it be an ear infection? I have heard that it can hurt worse when they lay down if they have one? Especially since he was just sick, might be more prone to it?

BBL for more, have to keep shunting the fly over to the side of the window that W can reach so he can try to catch it lol

I think you have to go to the doctor? Maybe a pharmacist could have a look but not sure

    Hi everyone
Sorry I've been MIA! Been around the forums but I've been a lazy baby buddy!
    Been trying to catch up..
Noni congrats! You still taking your train trip?
Andie hope you're feeling better & the ppl on fb are leaving you to parent your boys
    Hope everyone else is well
I'm putting L in daycare as of Feb 2 days a week while I'm at uni..
What is everyone getting the munchkins for xmas? I was thinking of getting L a sandpit. He loves being outside so it'll be something other than the rake and broom to entertain him!
I'll hopefully be back later to finish catching up..

    hi everyone
Rainy - i think a dr needs to look at his ears to see if it is an ear infection. i heard that with these they def scream worse when they lie down, especially at night as the liquid hurts more in their ears when they lie down. i hope he is still asleep and is ok when he wakes up.
Nella - good to see you again!
Arte - that is so funny about W and the ear!

    Thanks Nella. Hopefully she will.
Love the sound of a sandpit tho I think the dogs wld use it as a toilet trap instead so Im hesitant bout getting one for the boys. I got my boys a 6v batt bike.

Apparently, if you have depression you don't go around admitting it, cos then you don't have it & you have other problems.

I'm gr8ful for friends like you girls here on BB. You know how to be supportive of other people. People like you guys are a rare find & you are truely blessed.

    Thank you xox
I second that Andie - they are wonderful !

Yes sherie - Rach is a member here. Its so very sad. I only met her and her daughter for the first time a few weeks ago. The Newie Mothers Group is another wonderful group of ladies that appear to support and looking after one and other greatly. We have all put in to get Rach some lovely gift and the mums are all cooking for the wake. I feel very torn about going to the funeral, I want to show support etc........but (a) Im so new to the group and hardly know rach and her family (b) im pregnant and fear the sight of this may upset the family (that may be irrational but I have considered that fact none the less)......not sure what the right thing to do is. I have contributed to the gift fund and Im more than happy to some cooking also but I wonder if its appropriate for me to attend the funeral or wake under the circustances......... what do you ladies think ??

BTW I'm feeling much better today - had a rough night still in pain but woke up feeling better this morning - I wish I knew what triggers it off .....its strange.

Good for you Andie in telling that stupid cow where to go. Who is she to judge

Rainey - Not sure if it's teeth or ear infection. I would probably get it checked by a dr just to be sure. Poor little one, hope he feels better soon. How are you feeling dear ? We are getting close to the final trimester hey - how much further along are you ? Im 24 weeks I think (EDD 26/3).

IKWYM Cindy, When I had just had Erin another local woman had just lost her little boy at 29wks pg (he lived for 19hrs) and I found it very hard to face her and didn't go to the funeral either. Go with your instinct.

    Hi Nella!

Cindy, I agree with Trill. Do what "feels" right.

Andie - I can't believe those FB nasties! That's not on! GET A LIFE, PEOPLE! I hope you have un-friended them or taken yourself out of whatever group it was in. You are doing what is right for you and that's all that matters.

Hi Nella. Sandpit is a great idea. We've got a clamshell, just waiting to move now so we can fill it! For Christmas, Miss E is getting a flip out sofa, a wheely bug, a couple of wooden toys and a book or two.

Rainy, I think you should take him to the Drs - they can only check by looking at the eardrum with one of those torch thingies (magnifying otoscope LOL). Hope he's feeling better soon, and you too. Have you tried Gaviscon?? Remember ginger can help as well.

Trill, how's life on the merrygoround? Are you tolerating the meds ok?

    Evening Ladies.

Yes, I have un-friended her after a very childish end to an arguement by me, quote: "by the way ... 30 days until Xmas" .. she didn't like me having a countdown on my profile for xmas either ... hey, it made me smile.

Picked boys up, they had a ball at daycare & play group today.

Forgot to mention, Alex had a hearing test the other week, What they could do, he managed to pass, but they had lots of trouble completing the tests & referred to me some other hearing clinic that has a w8n list.
Then the dr decided to refer alex for a adhd assessment, which isn't until Feb.

Andie, I hope the assessments all come back clear - you don't need more stress ATM.

Marydean, the meds are going well thanks. I have a blood test on Thursday as a follow up to see how it's all going on the inside and a dermo appointment on Monday. I'm thinking he might up the meds as he did say he was starting me on a conservative dose.

Do you think it's working? Would you rather up the dose and maybe have it finished sooner or go on for longer on a lower dose? (I know that's a tricky Q, too). Thurs must be a big day for it cos i'm having pathology tests and a visit to Mr Surgeon that day too. .

I can see a difference, but I do think that progress has stalled kwim? I do get what you mean though. I'm not fussed either way - so long as it's gone I'm happy LOL. Good luck with all your appointments too - I would really play it up for the Surgeon too so you might get in quicker.

Andie - Ohh I saw red when I saw what that girl said to you! Glad its all sorted out now. Hope Alex comes out in the clear after his test.

Rainy - M has been exactly the same as L, but she has a molar coming through the poor thing and I know thats what is making her miserable. Even the daycare girls commented on how grumpy she was today when I picked her up and that she wasnt being her usual self. Have you spotted anything in his mouth yet? Otherwise maybe it is an earache? Oh I hate it when you dont know.

Cindy - I'm so sorry, I wouldnt know what to do myself either. I am not good with grief and loss. I havent seen her thread and I'm a bit scared to read it.

I must run, find my family is on, but I will be back!!

H I think I would cry watching find my family, since becoming a mum EVERYTHING makes me cry lol, I am a big sooky la la.

Oh girls you should have seen these adorable twins today, made me sooooo clucky. I have signed releases so may put a few on FB in a private folder.

I am so glad we have no plans tomorrow. Just need to go and pick up a parcel at the post office and grab some milk.

L went to sleep without his dummy tonight, we want to get rid of it before Christmas if we can.

Might go for a scroll around the web since I am not tired tonight (I should be though).

Noni, it will be ok! Your baby will be brought into the world with love and really that's all that matters! There are lots of women who go through pregnancy and birth in far more desperate circumstances, we're really very lucky. I was watching the thing on Foreign Correspondent last night about the food shortages in Ethiopia. Well actually there's enough food, it's just too expensive for people to buy it. There was a mother breastfeeding her baby but because she hadn't eaten her supply was giving out. Very sad.

It makes me think twice about whining about my gallstones too. It could be a lot lot worse.
