MM, try not to blame yourself lovey, it is sooo hard when they are teething (esp with 4 molars at once) to tell if there is anything else wrong

Nella, did you take a test? Good luck!

Rainy, yip, W still has a BF every time he wakes. He won't settle for anything else. I can't even pat him because he just grabs my hand and throws it away. I really wish he would wean now. If anything he is doing the opposite and feeding more. I can't even sit down with him to read a book or watch a dvd without him wanting a feed. Your dad sounds really cool. Hope Mr L is ok and it is nothing serious.

MD, no fatty foods at christmas time!!! You are on the Mission: Impossible my dear.

Leanne, poor X, that sounds really painful!

Cally, that is really cute of K putting herself to bed. What a clever little girl.

Trill, good to hear the meds are doing their job and aren't causing any other problems. I made mud cake for the first time last week and it came out perfect, it was so delicious. I would never had picked you for a dental nurse in your previous life!

Clare, how is Miss L today? Hope that it is clearing up and you guys are all getting some sleep. Sounds like you all had a horror time.

JG, what do you do at coroner's court? Sound like you have an interesting job. Did you get the house?

Noni, like the others have said I don't think the thirst would be from GD. That doesn't usually kick in until at least the second tri. Have you started telling people yet?

I am so flipping tired. We have been watching all of Prison Break and it is so darn addictive that we end up watching it until about 11pm, then I get woken a couple of times during the night and get up at 6.30am. It is entirely self inflicted though, so I guess I can't complain too much lol

Oh I hope all the bubba who are not feeling the best get better very soon and big hugs to the mummas looking after them.

How things change in my life at the moment. I was meant to work today but Joel got recalled to go to court this morning so I have to stay home with H. Which wouldn't be a big deal except I cant see how I can make up the hours this week !! Unorganised men I tell ya! I was looking forward to headed to work for a rest today

Then our builder called yesterday arvo - the contract price has gone up $4k due to the bank delays we recently experienced (but that's another boring story) - great. Then the developer still wants changes to the facade colours of our new house - more rendereing needed they say - great. More money, more maintenance, and will it really make the estate look THAT much nicer Feeling like this house will never be built.

But seeing as Im home today, I might take H to the mothers group who are meeting at a local park, it's a nice day so I can't see why not. Im still new at this group and get really nervous as everyone is well bonded already IYKWIM....

To answer some of the questions you ladies asked yesterday.

OB appt went well - measuring 27 wks, so 3 wks larger than EDD but I always did with Hamish as well, no real bigger (pardon the pun).

The new rental house was OK - not as great as I had hoped but OK. Will throw in an application and see how we go. There were another couple there that seemed interested too.

No not planning a big family - just our two and Georgia (so 3 kids is enough for us) but we often have family come stay and like to make them feel welcome. Oh and I love to clean..........LOL

No not a wedding planner, we have a photography company and do approx 30 weddings a year. This consult was for 2010 !! They are having a masqerade (sp?) ball theme - complete with jugglers, fire twirlers and fireworks will be different indeed.

My new job is in the prosecutors office and they have just decided to add to my job description. My role now includes attending coroners court to oversee the matters being heard there on behalf of police. Not sure what it entails fully just yet. Should be a challenge - its been a while since I was in front of a court and most of that was at uni mock court !!

Hope you all have a great day ladies.

OH no Leanne! I had to laugh though cause that sounded so much like something my brothers would have done as kids. I hope they are both OK today and not to sore and sorry for themselves.

Arte, I'm like that too. When DH is on nightshift I can be up till midnight or later and I know full well I have to get up again at 6.30 LOL. Lucky for me it's only for 4 nights out of every 12 - the rest of the time I"m in bed at a reasonable hour.

G, how is L this morning hun? I missed your post last night. I hope he isn't getting sick again.

When I woke up this morning I had the sudden realisation that I didn't get up ONCE last night! I couldn't believe it LOL. Usually I am up at least once to put a dummy back in. But the stinker is that I still feel tired

ETA - Hi Cindy! I would be so annoyed at the extra little costs due to the delays - I hope the builder doesn't make a habit of that kwim? You know, I always had the impression that coroner's court was such a sombre affair, very quiet and you just get on with the job at hand, whereas I always had local/district court pegged as a much more colourful turnout kwim? You will have to let me know if I'm right LOL. Have fun in the park today - it's a lovely day here too.

Leanne, sorry but I was laughing when I was reading about your boys' antics out in the backgarden! Laughing cos it's a lovely little preview for all our mums with boys on what to expect in about 2 years time ROFL! Good thing they're built tough.

MM- Aw, poor M. I'm sure she'll be starting to feel better pretty quickly now she's on the medication. Don't blame yourself, we're all learning here. xxx The PainStop gear works really well too.

Trill - OMG don't you know wrapping paper is a Very Important Decision??!! LOL Poor woman had probably been wandering around in a daze for hours - purely from being at the shops for too long. You coulda walked up and slapped her on the face to snap her out of it!

Noni, I'm with Trill, don't worry about GD. I remember having the thirst of the devil riding on my back...remember that you're growing several more litres of blood/other life sustaining fluids...makes sense you'd be a bit thirstier than usual. Oh and I meant to say - if you take Asha to get her lip looked at, make sure you ask them if that might have caused you problems when you were trying to BFeed (?...just something I wondered about briefly).

Nella - I'm a library technician and I'm going to do the uni course that will make me a fully fledged librarian. I only need to do less than half the course because of previous study I've done.

Arte - Miss E's getting really good at asking for feeds too. Often it doesn't seem to occur to her unless I sit in the chair where we have her night feed LOL. She sees me go over there and trots over, signing boobie boobie boobie! It would drive me nuts if it was all day long.

hi everyone!!! its me the absent belly buddy! been trying to read and keep up but same old same old with me, been v busy/tired/stressed so unable to come on and chat... anyway i am here the rest of the week so willtry to keep up.
MM - dont blame yourself honey - the teething esp with molars can mask so much and you dealt with it when you had an inkling somethin was wrong, she will be fine. my friend's ds also had a perforated ear drum and it healed fine and he is A OK now.. so pls dont worry. i hope you ar efeeling better yourself too.
Clare - how is L? sounded like you had a rough time there for a bit...
MD - what did you deide re the surgery? not long to go now til your move - how exciting!
Noni - i am also really thirsty - not worried about it and it def woudlnt be GD at this stage. when are you getting ashas lip looked at? glad the avon is going so well. woo hoo!
leeanne - ooh you scared me what i am in for with N!!! though he isnt sucha 'physical' boy yet...
rainy - go on, tell me your vision! i would really have a chat with your DF - that would not fly in my house and i think you are a saint for putting up with it. when i was bf in the night DH did every morning get up with N (he is an early riser my little man) and then when we stopped feeding in the night we alternate night wake ups for settling and also alternate the early morning shift. it has always been that way here and i think esp when you have both babies you need to get DF to pull his finger out!!! i also think it has been great for DH and N's relationship... we also share the bed time routine (one does bath the other cuddles to sleep - we swap each night) when we ar both here. it also means either one of us can care for him day or night... talk to DF, L is a bit more grown up now and df needs to help you!! i cant believe you havent had a sleep in since he was born - that is torture! am glad you had a good time at the spa...
trill - dodntrealise you were havng surgery this week - hope it goes well!
nella - did you do a test?
hi to everyone else - sorry want to post this before i lose it!! back later.. xxx

    Hi Girls,

Ok what I can suggest with having boys in the house is have a very well stocked Medicane/Accident Cabinet and another must is a cold pack frozen at all times or have heaps of ice in the freezer.

JG- Sorry to hear about the extra costs for the house.
Sherie- I know what you mean if I sleep all night without getting up to anyone I feel worse. Good luck for Friday Lap.

    Oops have to go BBL

So cannot get motivated today. H was awake at 5am then back to bed at 7:30am and I thought he'd have his normal 2.5 - 3 hr morning sleep and be set for the day but no just a 50min cat nap. He is still tired and a bit grizzly, not sure if it just due to the tiredness or if his teeth are giving him grief

But I feel zonked, can't get into anything, should be washing, or getting ready to go to mothers group but honestly think we'll stay put today and I'll sleep when Hamish does it try to rest.

This is very unlike me - but atm I can't give a rats about the house etc......

    hi girls!

sorry that i have been a bad baby buddy!! do a major vent about myself then disappear for a couple of days...

MM: ooh that does sound sore. but like the others have said, i think the eardrums heal well. i would go to GP and just ask the million q's you couldnt ask at the hossy.

MD: LOL! look missing the uni enrolment is a classic. i somehow manage to do it almost every year...almost 8 years at uni! ARRGHHH! I guess because they are used to dealing with absent minded academics there are fail-safe enrolment procedures in place...

Rainy: i hear ya on the shopping front. i can either stay here in the house getting bored or i can go shopping...no brainer LOL! we also have a brand new shop up the road that stocks heaps and heaps of oobi baby!!! i bought some very cool bloomers and singlets for Leila yesterday. and the toys, oh the toys!! i wish i was a millioners wife LOL!

PP: ooh not long til you get to see robson!! i have to say that i cant remember if i saw bubba at the 10 week consult...then again i didnt ask...but every appointment after that he popped me up to have a looksie...then DH would ask a million q's like: which part is the head??? LOL!

sherie: ooh the lap is coming up. wow it is december! Good luck with it all, will be thinking of you sista.

JG: oh that sounds really frustrating re the house! i would be peeved too.

nella: good luck with the HPT. let's hope the headache is worth it LOL!

AFM: well things are starting to settle here. L is on a liquid only diet (has been for the last 48 hours). and this seems to be helping her. making me more tired as we had almosst weaned and now my poor boobies are going nuts. the fever has abated but the nights are still a bit unsettled (nothing like the last week though). basically once we cut out the food, she has been able to sleep a bit more. so once her belly recovers from the snot overload (she had a sinus infection...apparently....had no idea! ), we can start her on bland purees and work our way back to normal food.
i am going to attempt chrissy shopping today. will head into the cbd as i am feeling brave. also want to try to get a santa photo done for Leila.

Clare, I'm so pleased L is showing signs of getting better and even more that you feel mentally in control (and getting some sleep)! GL with your trip to the city today. BTW are you still planning to come up next week? PM me if you don't have my moby number. xxx

JG - yes! Stay at home and rest if that's what you need to do!

Leanne, your icepack suggestion is a great one for anyone with a toddler! My DD1 was very uncoordinated and spent an entire 2 years running into door frames LOL. We have lots of photos of her with big bruises on her forehead! PMSL.

PAP - great to hear from you hun. Decided to wait until we get to Adel and go on the waiting list over there. The Surgeon here is writing me a referral so I'll save a few weeks of waiting that way.

Clare - At least L is on the mend now, sinus infections are not fun. I had one a few months ago and felt horrible. Good luck chrissy shopping in town, is it busy? I drove around at shops last week for 45 minutes trying to find a parking spot, almost gave up. Hope L is good for her chrissy photo. When we come to Melb next week we are planning to take M and her little cousin down to have a santa pic together.

JG - Sounds like a day at home doing nothing is needed today! Are you getting sick or just having a cant be bothered day? How cool does that wedding sound, gonna cost them a bomb though.

Leemar - I had to have a chuckle too at your two boys! Boys being boys!

Pregpan - Glad you are going well.

MD - We also have a few pics of M with big bruises on her forehead. She has a shocker atm and the doctor yesterday even commented on it

Trillian - Ohhhh good luck for Friday!!!!

Arte - Lol at W throwing your hand away! Thats funny. Glad your mud cake turned out well.

Must go, M is still sleeping, so going to do some cleaning before she wakes hopefully.

Noni - Yuck you poor thing morning sickness is the pits! I hope it doesnt hit you too hard. I had it with M it was horrible, but the girls at work thought it was pretty funny lol!!

MD - What surgery is your DH having? Ouch you are in the wars lately

Hope you three all meet up, let us know how it goes.

Well I'm glad I kept my doctors appointment today because the doc discovered that the other ear is now quite inflamed. She said it probably happened quickly overnight otherwise the doctor at the hospital would have picked it up. So we've got some antibiotics as well to give to her and then another check up before we fly out. The doctor was like oh my gosh this happened last time when you were going away! That would be right hey!? In the meantime her ear is still discharging puss - sorry if tmi. Oh and MD you were right, she said to me next time explain the situation to the reception girls and they will fit a baby in, rather than having to go down to the hospital. I know for next time.
