Nella, I just saw Kmart has the clam shells on p 7 of their catalogue for $24.99. Sale starts tmrw. Get in there!!

MM - well done on your invitation bargain.

Rainy's 27 weeks???!!! That can't be right!! I feel like I've lost a couple of months in there somewhere. Show us a piccky of the big boy bed once you've got it up.

Clare my mouth was hanging open at your crazy lady story. Some days I think I'm a crazy lady but then I read that and I realise I ain't scritchin the surface! Glad your DH set her straight. Hope she gets conjunctivitis karma. LOL

Cally - oh no at DH's work disaster! Hope he can wangle things right in less time.

Arte - well those reunion shows - when it's a mum and child they've given away at birth - you can't say they don't know each other. The memory of "mother" is really deeply ingrained into people, it's like a primal yearning. Anyway, What's wrong with Oprah? HMMMMMM??? LOL

Katie, DD1 has a cabin bed (like a captain bed I think). She loves it even tho she's nearly old enough to move on to something else.

Caught up with another friend today. Starting to have to say my goodbyes which is a bit weird. It's creeping up but I'm still in denial about how short 2 1/2 weeks can be! LOL. Better get my A into G.

    hi girls!

MM: oohhh the invites!! now things are really starting to get ready! my wedding story for the day is a friend of mine had a dress disaster where the designer (prominent in melb) made her dress in bright apricot instead of the rose cream that she had ordered!! all i can say is that i am happy that i was able to buy straight from the rack. that way you know what you are getting!
Can i come to your op shops!! here they are always stripped bare by the fashion students from the uni close by... although i picked up an amazing dress for $7. and L gets loads of designer stuff from there. just me that usually misses out. in fiji it was amazing. their op shops are basically stores where fashion houses dump their overstock so you can pick up ALL the big names like DKNY, D&G, prada etc etc for absolute bargains. i got an armani silk skirt there for $2!!! it still had tags!

MD: WHAT?!! only 2 1/2 weeks!! ARGHHHH! we will be in 'the heart of the nation' around the 10th of Dec, but i guess youse will be busy bees packing

talking of Oprah did anyone see it yesterday?! OMG I was a bawling mess (i think i need some of arte's stoicism!). i can see just how that kind of stuff happens (it was about a mum who accidently left her 2 year old in a hot car) and makes you really wake up to the impact that tiredness and stress can play in our lives. gave me the heeby-jeebies.

Rainy: OMG 27 weeks!! congrats girl! that means that ange is also heading into 3rd trimester...wow. ahhh i remember when i was that far along we were heading O/S to see the rellos in italy. never again! LOL! I was too big and uncomfy for economy travel.
when will L go in the big bed? this is our little issue ATM too.
oooh i didnt know Pum Patch did organics! i am addicted to targets range, ahh well something else to blow the budget on before DH comes home LOL!

Katie: checked out the pics! amazing! we really need to get new photos done. we thought we were in a couple of weeks, but the guys we go through have a minimum spend of almost $400. so that will only get us 2-3 photos going by their prices. so had to get DH to cancel. pretty bummed, but maybe in the new year.

Cally: sorry for your DH. that does sound really stressful. hope he manages ok.

AFM: well we are ok here. L STILL has a temp. but not as high. around 37.4. so better than yesterday. pretty bummed about it though as it is kindy day (ie work day for me) but now i cant go. DH is still away so i can see my work for the week slipping behind. at least i can try to catch up next week i guess.
we had a funny day yesterday where we were with my friend sorting out her wedding dress problems and L was running around the dressing room area. she kept peeking through the curtains to get a squiz of girls in their pretty dresses! LOL! my gals a peeking tom! egad...

clare- pm me if you want the details of the photographer who has done lewis' professional pics (go check them out on fb, one set at about 4 months and one at about 11 months i think). studio is in sth melbourne or she will come to you. for about $300 (don't quote me! lol) she will give you a disk of 30-50 photos. all touched up nicely and sized etc which you can then take to kmart etc and print yourself.

just a quicky from me, off to playgroup

Getting there now clare, just in the honeymoon phase where you feel ok for about 2 weeks! Right before the heartburn starts. Hahahah, At swimming yesterday, Lu was sticking her head uner the wall checking out the lady and her kids in the next cubicle getting dressed! These girls are sticky beaks. lol

If anyone is after a square sandpit like the clam shell but sqaure, They were adversticing them on Lasoo as being on sale in Toys are Us for $29.00.

MD- i really dont envy you moving at this time of year...... How close to packed are you?

Well, I still need to eat and drink coffee, now don't I?? PM me (and PP too) and we'll see if we can hook up for a brief but pleasant cafe interlude!!

Re Oprah - I didn't see that one but I've seen one similar. It's like the story of the dad who was (unusually) supposed to drop the child off at CC and forgot because bub was asleep - that ended horribly too. This is the sort of stuff that I get paranoid over when I'm having an anxious spell (usually caused by sleep deprivation). So I try to avoid these stories when I can and just concentrate on keeping my wits about me.

Ange, I am not packed at all. They send the packer men (no, not the Packer men, I'd be wearing Tiffany if that was the case LOL) in to pack up over a day or so. But I've still got to get all the paperwork & other arrangements, not to mention Christmas organised. Plus packing for a road trip. We'd usually wait until after Chrissy and then move, but we want to get home in time to spend it with family.

oooo i've alwasy wanted a packer to come and move me, we have moved that many times! It was easiest when we lived in the camper trialer, at least when we moved we could pack up in an hour or so! That is great you get a hand, but it will still be tough moving so close to chrissy! Are you saving your shopping until you are in SA or do you have it all organised?

Morning Ladies, sounds like an interesting 24hrs for some of us.

Spent yesterday watching Go Diego Go with Alex & then last nite, he has the runs & starts vomiting everywhere. He went to bed & woke up several hours later with a bed full of spew. Then he spews in my hands Great catch tho!

We took Jack to daycare & Alex wanted to stay, so I'm sitting here w8n to see if I get a phone call at all.

Clare: I hope you don't have to see that nurse again.

Oz: Aren't those captain beds gorgeous I've always wanted bunks for the boys, but I am thinking I will w8 till they are older & decide what they want.

Rainy: 27 wks, wow, that is exciting.

On the subject of babies ... my ex-SIL was due on Tuesday but its pretty scary ATM as she has been deemed anemic & has to have iron shots every week. TBH I am worried bout her giving birth & she can't have a c/s ATM cos her blood isn't clotting.

Cally: had to have a giggle over the daycare bit. Alex is the same, gives me a kiss then pushes me away as if to say, you can go now mum. But when I pick him up, he comes running, "mums here".

anyways ... off to grab some cheesecake

Clare OMG at he cost of the photographer, I dont charge anywhere near that. Go with Rainys friend the pics of Lewis are gorgeous. I was crying watching Oprah yesterday too, I was going to post a thread about it as it really got me thinking.

MD sounds like your going to very busy.

Logan stacked it face first on the tile last night, you should have seen the egg on his head (check FB) I cried when the lump came up it just looked so painful. Only a bruise and small egg this morning tho. Better run I have two shoots today. Will catch up later.

Clare I spoke to a photographer that was priced around the same hence why they didn't get done.

    Hi girls!!

Katie: oh phew! i thought that they were pricey. we also spent a bomb in canberra for photos. so in the end only ended up with 3. (there were 75 that we had to leave behind...how do you choose???). yeah will have to pm rainy for the details!

Nella: yeah i was pretty bummed. especially because i was a runner-up in a competition to get a free session and free photos. but they failed to tell me that yes, i do get some free photos (ie: one), but i HAVE to spend $380 minimum....so how is that free? or a prize for that matter??? urrghhh.

MD: you are hilarious. go the flashing antlers by the way. jealous town down here! LOL!
hope the packer men are cuter than the Packer men.

Hi everyone! can't do much typing today as I had my blood test this morning and it's left an absolute cracker of a bruise in the crook of my arm and it hurts to even bend it - luckily it is my right and not my left arm so I can still do most things. The path lady felt so bad about it too cause she said at the start I was likely to get a good one because of the meds (due to them compromising my immune system) and she used the finest needle they had too.

I am a walking zombie today. Last night all was well, got into bed at 10.30 and woke at 11.00pm, as M was crying. Well from there onwards to 4am, she did not sleep any longer than 10 minutes!! She has a molar, that has finally broken through. I thought thank god, but this morning i've noticed the other gum is swollen and ready to erupt. Molars SUCK! DP has gone off to work with bags under his eyes lol. We tried everything last night but nothing seemed to work very well for the poor girl.

I thought today she would sleep well but she hasnt slept at all. I've just put her down again, but she is whinging.

Clare - OMG take me to Fiji! I'd have a ball in their op shops! Shivers I didnt know 37 is a temp, Maddie was 37 yesterday. I thought anything above 37 is bad news. WHOOPS! What happened to your friends wedding dress in the end, I hope the dress maker is remaking it? I didnt see Oprah, thank gosh, I'd be an absolute mess as well.

MD - Where are you moving to again? Adelaide right?

Oz - Wow your pics are cheap then, as I thought $300 was reasonable lol. The people at gotcha photos the other day wanted $580 all up. Now that is a rip off.

Leemar - Hope your head cold gets better soon, nothing worse!

    Trillian - Ouch sounds painful!

Andie - Is this your SIL's 1st baby? I'm sure she will be fine

Better go sort out M, she isnt happy

    Morning Ladies,

Alex was okay at daycare, no spews & he seemed okay when he got home except that all he wanted to eat was flavoured rice crackers & then watch dvd's in mummies bed.

MM: No its her 2nd. Thanks. .. on the teething. U just made me realise that I should check Jacks mouth as he's been having off nights. Got him back to sleep but now, I am awake! Hope M is okay. When Jack's "popped" through like that all I did was give him Brauer teething relief (its natural) & lots & lots of teething gel.

Trill: hope your arm has settled down for you.

Leemar hope you feel better soon.

    to everyone this morning.

Going to be a long morning, its shopping day & cos I only have Alex with me, he likes to walk (& go with jocks) so I might make it short.
